not to self-promote but i actually have written over 25k of (english) nanqiu across two fics recently! if you're interested in longing and extreme amounts of affection and poor lin qiushi facing the overwhelming feeling of being loved and loving ruan nanzhu, you might be interested in them—god knows i can never get rid of habits is 12k, rated e for the final section, and tied together over the ring that ruan nanzhu gives lin qiushi, and we have not long to love is 13k, rated m, and explores nanqiu within and without the doors, framed in terms of kisses. i hope one of these will appeal to you!

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

90, a couple of which are drabble-dumps.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

159,720 (...yeah. This across 90 works. I strongly prefer short-form.)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Right at the moment I'm fully consumed by DMBJ, but the bulk of my fic are Les Misérables, MDZS and TGCF with a number of other fandoms occasionally thrown in. Oh yeah, and some Maurice.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Audition (818) The Quest (711) Vision (656) Of Hats and Flutes (638) Of parents and children (569) Probably unsurprising how all of these are MXTX fics (one being a crossover with Discworld.)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yeah, pretty much always. I love getting comments and I want to show my appreciation.

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

All of my fics I deemed a decent enough size to post on their own (so like, 500 words or longer) have at least a somewhat hopeful ending, but I get *cruel* in prompt-fills and mini-fic. ...Oh wait, no! May 31st 1832 - unsurprisingly a Les Mis fic. I had two characters clash and left their impending deaths hang over their heads, implying that the conflict will remain unresolved until the very last moment, when they die together.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Thankfully no, at least not so far. Hope it stays that way.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I have tried it exactly once and I don't think it's gonna be a regular occurance. It was a TGCF fic where Xie Lian and Hua Cheng experiment with some magic with a sliiight hint of sub! Hua Cheng.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Oh do I ever! The absolute weirdest in terms of the sheer incompatibility of canons is a LotR/Asterix one. It was a fill for a prompt to write something my 10 year old self would enjoy.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yeah! :D (The first chapter of Of Hats and Flutes, Vision and Soup for Pangzi.)

Nope, not yet.

That's a hard question, but statistically speaking (meaning the one I wrote the most for) it's Hua Cheng/Xie Lian from TGCF.

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I started a prequel to The Dancer - a TGCF fic in which Xie Lian and Hua Cheng get together pre-canon. This would have been how they met.

16. What are your writing strengths?

The thing I get the most compliments on is character and author voice - I'm apparently pretty good at pastiche. :D

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Plot. I like to focus on character interaction, and short oneshots, planning out long, plot-heavy fics just don't come naturally to me.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

If it's grammatically correct, then why not? It has its uses.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Probably Zona. It's a three-way crossover between MDZS, Star Wars and Stalker. I still think the concept is fun and I'm proud of it because it's one of the very few plot-heavy, longform fics I actually managed to finish.

tagged by both @spinecorset and @tat-ch sorry it's taken me this long to actually do this, thank you for tagging! ironically i have less published fics than there are slots for this game and all of these entries are dmbj, specifically pingxie fics (shocking i know)

first most hits and fourth most comments : in a landscape of having to repeat i have mixed feelings about this one mostly because it's the first thing i wrote after over a decade of not writing anything (and i was a teenager then) and is also the first piece of personal writing i ever finished period. so a lot of it was experimental and trying to get a feel for writing again in general. i tend to view it as the weaker fic of the ones i've written so far because of that among other things (like it being written at a time i was still largely unfamiliar with the books and i feel it shows in some details), but on the flipside, it's also probably one of if not my most self-indulgent one since it's a timeloop fic and i love that trope a lot. i also wrote it for a good friend (you know who you are <3) so for that it's also special

second most kudos: alight and tempered coincidentally also written for aforementioned good friend (<3). i'm tentative to say this mostly because i tend to be hypercritical of anything i make more often than not (i guess that comes with being your own beta), but i think this one might be my favorite of the things i've written so far. it's got iron triangle shenanigans, xiaoge pov, wu xie pov, and i like to think it has a nice amount of variety going on from comic beats to more serious parts and is overall fluff because i'm a sap. idk i just like exploring the unspoken elements of pingxie's relationship since so much of what they say to each other is in subtext between them anyway so this is just one attempt at it

third most bookmarks: and there will be time this one is 100% self-indulgent, case in point i impulse wrote it for wu xie's birthday week since i saw practically no one doing anything for it so i took matters into my own hands lol. i tagged it "gonna give him all the things" "xiaoge is too" and tbh that's it that's the fic. it's pingxie spending a quiet day together with no fanfare, not much else.

fifth most words and least words: my hand was the one you reached for another one also written for another good friend (you know who you are too <3) i swear practically everything i write ends up as prompted or unprompted gifts for other people lol. the entire premise of this was "hey wu xie studied architecture and in the books is mentioned as sketching a fair amount, what if instead of journaling during the sha hai period as he usually does because it was so harrowing he had a sketchbook of xiaoge doodles he carried around" followed by "what if xiaoge found the sketchbook later though" and that's it that's the fic. i'm not 100% sure about the characterization for this one to be completely honest but like everything else i'm just gonna leave it there because it's there anyway

bonus because considering i only have one other fic i get to shamelessly plug for once ok: the cruelest month and again written for another good friend (this is a pattern and yes you also know who you are <3) this one is very different from the other ones and was definitely the hardest to write for a number of reasons. the pingxie is mostly background in that xiaoge isn't there for a majority of the fic because this is essentially a detailed character study of wu xie throughout the entirety of sha hai and what leads up to it. which is very daunting. and i'm not convinced i did the complexity it deserves justice. so it tries to be an exploration of his mindset, of how that plays into his relationships with other characters, and how that ultimately plays into his gradual realization of his feelings for xiaoge while xiaoge is behind the gate. with a "what if the snake pheromones gave him the latent ability to perceive intent and emotion from the people around him too" twist. it's about 8 different things in a trenchcoat but well

currently watching: only friends and bad buddy. i'm loving how much only friends really encapsulates the chaotic good times/bad times and complexity of that queer friends group of your early 20s, so it's being really satisfying to finally see that played out in media. i watched entire seasons of shows like queer as folk and the l word hoping for the same resonance that only friends delivers on hard in every episode.

bad buddy is a rec from a friend of a friend, and it really just sits down on my "YES RIVALMANCE" button and gets comfortable.

current obsession: kinnporsche! it's the only thing i'm writing fic for, though it remains to be seen if i can finish anything :D

Len is cryptic. It's super effective. Mick is confused A mostly canon following piece adding bits and pieces to their relationship and spinning it towards romance but with a positive twist at the end. Finished from Mick's pov, pending Len's pov on the whole thing. (I have plans to finish it one day)

Are you okay? 'Cause I feel fine. This was a very self indulgent piece where I just added Jason Todd, aka the Red Hood, to the Young Justice Universe and gave him the retribution/vengeance he deserved. It's one of the first things I wrote and posted and it's kinda old now? I still like it but I can tell my writing was baby at the time.

Hands wrapped around my soul Oh wow, I'm kind of surprised by this one. This one was originally for a challenge of "One must die" and had to be 2500 words tops. It's set during the length of time where Jason was dead, and Zatanna brings Constantine to the Watchtower because she's certain there's a ghost up there. This is the first part to my Serendipity series, which I love dearly.

There is no such thing as luck Aaaand that's a Big Bang entry. In which Gabriel Reyes isn't exactly human but gets stuck on Earth for a very specific reason.

Trinity A role reversal fic, probably the only one I ever wrote? (I would need to check) In which Gabriel is a bitter vigilante and Jack is... something else. Unfinished because of the whole fandom pairing drama that happened, though I do have some more chapters written for it.

There's actually two, because both are art compilations/fics. One is Family of heart an exchange fic, for... Gen dmbj? iirc. The other is Artwork for From Russia with Love which an art compilation for the series I cowrite with Shaish.

His lungs burned as he forced himself to pace his breathing; he was cold. He had killed his beloved;  He was arrogant.

Lin Qiushi expects him to raise a hand, take to lychee, pale translucent flesh, between his own fingers, pop it into his mouth, but the thought of such exerting must be too much, because Ruan Nanzhu instead leans forward slightly and bites into the lychee. His lips close, for a moment, around Lin Qiushi’s fingers, and Lin Qiushi finds himself frozen, caught like an ant in amber, held beneath the supernova pull of Ruan Nanzhu’s attention, those mirror-dark eyes. His lips are soft as flower petals, lacking the chapped quality Lin Qiushi’s own so often take on in the cold, dry months, and he seems, for a moment, to linger there, the two of them connected by this touch. Lin Qiushi can feel his heartbeat in his throat, the blood thundering between his ears.

TFP Warrior Cats au (Allegiances)

Inspired by @spinecorset 's art of the Decepticon leaders as cats.

I either need to do some genderbending or come up with some sort of a justification for why there's literally one female character in each clan, because it's not genetically viable.

I also have no idea what to do with the human characters or how the plot would actually work. Maybe there was originally one group, like The Ancients, but it shattered for some reason, resulting in Pathclan and Flightclan. However it's still set in the Nevada desert.

I also have no idea what to do with the relics, Unicron, dak energon, Allspark, and the human characters (the only thing i can think for them to be is rat colonies). I have an extremely rough draft of a six-"book" arc i wrote, but i haven't watched TFP in years so i definitely forgot some events.

Please help me with the remaining names, so writing will be easier.
