Anthony doesn't get enough flack from this fandom if I'm being honest, like most of it is pushed onto other female characters while he gets the "he was struggling," excuse. And while he was struggling, there's definitely validity to that, he also should not have his actions (eg. playing with Kate's feelings, putting her and Edwina in a difficult situation, etc) excused because of that.

some headcanons i have while drawing him are semi obvious while others are bc i like it ahehahhaheha

cupid's bow lips! this was semi inspired by Mizuki Umetsu, the actor for Noritoshi in the jjk stage play! hes so. pretty. perfect guy for the role imo! i was captivated therefore my views changed.

longer hair! the thought that his bangs(? are the same length, or longer, as the rest of his hair is nice.. it also makes his inevitable haircut much more refreshing! i also just like long hair and its a fucking waste not to do whatever the i want.

thicker brows and visible eyelashes! i naturally draw thicker eyebrows because it looks pretty, but the eyelashes is so fucking canon bro. dont even fight me on this, you'll lose. i read a fic about Noritoshi where it said he took good care of himself and his appearance inspired jealousy. that fucked me up man, so now i draw him as beautiful as i can.

monolids! I've looked through the manga and i think its highly implied that Noritoshi has monolids? yk those lines in between the eye and eyebrow, he doesnt have them in the manga. i thought it was because of the expressions he had, but no. the others have them, except geto! so geto also having monolids is so fr in my head. i like that feature abt him.

loose hairs! the hairs that i draw on his face. they make him look so cute and a bit more relaxed. he's not trying to be perfect nor have a single strand out of place. he's just a bit more at ease... though if there's something important he has to go through, he sharpens up. becomes.. stiffer?

I think the portrayal of Spider-Man 2099 in Across the Spider-Verse is in-character in that aside from like Shattered Dimensions he's always been portrayed as a bit of an asshole who slips into anti-hero territory at times and generally has a "needs of the many over the needs of the few" mindset and given his specific circumstances in the movie it's not unreasonable to think he could take the actions he does. However it does kinda suck that since like 99% of moviegoers had no idea who he was before the movie came out their first impression of him is when he's in an antagonistic role and people think "antagonist" and "villain" are synonyms so now I'm gonna have to listen to people who've never read a comic saying he's a villain or isn't a real Spider-Man for the rest of time or at least until he inevitably changes his mind in the third one.

I hate to say it but I feel like if Wyll and Mizora's genders were reversed people might actually take the implications of their relationship seriously. It seems that the abusive dynamic is treated as a joke moreso than not (especially after watching the Christmas animated short), it's almost forgotten that Mizora manipulated and groomed Wyll into signing the contract as a child and has been abusing him since.

I don't like bringing gender into the conversation because the whole "oh if their genders were swapped..." is often used as a dog whistle by misogynists, but it's so clear that this is the case, I even see it with Gale and Mystra's relationship too (as well Halsin and the drow to a further extent).

I'm really glad that for the other companions the trauma they have faced at the hand of their abusers is taken seriously throughout the game, but we need to keep the same energy for Wyll too.

The reason this update took so long is because every time I tried to draw it, my stomach dropped. I am far too attached to these boys, and seeing them hurt makes me sad :(

Both of the boys have been patched up now, so we have no "death in 14 hours" notifications anymore, though we are still missing an arm and a leg between them. Luckily, we have mechanoids to do most of the hard work, and the Jones boys can dedicate themselves to researching while Xina does all the things the mechs can't. Hopefully the lads recover quickly!

Mechi would probably be elated to match Yamka, though perhaps he would like it better if it could come in a less traumatic way and without putting his other beloved sibling in danger.

as much as i want to play guilty gear strive, i know I'd refuse to play any character other than anji and but never actually manage to learn how to play him and then repeatedly get my ass whooped. I'd still probably have a good time tho
