I asked my followers on Twitter and Bluesky for animal suggestions (especially less common ones in the furry fandom) and this was the result :3 it was very fun, should repeat it sometime!

After doing some research on the types of pets people had in ancient Greece, I'd like to imagine that Helen is the sort of person who has a whole menagerie of birds — and she loves each and every one of them very, very much.

It fits well with her being good at mimicry, you know. Talking and imitating and singing with her beloved birds 💜

Just ignore how my sketches look so clean, trust me. They STARTED OUT AS SKETCHES... But then i progressively got better at drawing them and my sketches got so clean that they became my infamous Glorified Sketches™.

I have that dragon plushie irl, its just half the size and not as cool... Ill always find a way to include a dragon in my art.

Im definitely gonna do more later when i dont feel like sleeping the day away.

I've spent so much time IDing things on iNat over the last few days that now when I see random photos of creatures on here I start mentally sorting them into the lowest taxonomic category I can identify them as being in before realising there's no button to suggest an ID because this is Tumblr not iNaturalist

☄️Funtober Day 21: Spectre and 22: Celestial🌙

A traditional Catfolk tapestry wall hanging showing off one of myths about two moons. Catfolk have lots of stories to tell about one of the moons coming down to the planet's surface at night to pretend that it's an animal. Legends say that if you catch up to the moon animal, you can ask it nicely to carry you safely into the sky, for an audience with elder moon.

i introduce to you the noble kinglet. they're these teensy tiny dudes who live in people's houses (hidden away in all the small nooks and crannies of a house - behind the sofa, through a mouse hole, in the ceiling!) and steal small objects such that they may make a horde - or kingdom! - of their own... They're named after this behaviour and the fact they commonly wear little fur cloaks and their colourful crests. Yay!
