The face pic they used isn’t as bad as some, but wtf is with that eyebrow? Why the hell do ppl shave a line into it? It looks stupid. Of course the link leads to the same std fest, and will probably be used to hack you, or do other debauchery. Same stupid fake testimonials, same fake getup. Gender: NOT INTERESTED.

Another Scam List

Hey y'all, there was such a nice break where that AI art scam thing had stopped and now theyre suddenly back with a vengeance, once again proving my theory that this is literally one single person just eating urls for spamming purposes. Anyway, I had to add seven new names to this list today, making it long enough that i actually needed to alphabetize it to figure out if the names were new or not. so i figure now's as good a time as ever to give it a fresh post.

If you receive messages from any of the below blogs, please report them as spam. If you want the rundown of the scam and how to spot it, here's the post. If you find one that's not on the list, let me know so I can update it!

Has anyone else in the mouthwashing fandom or tumblr at large noticed getting inundated with spam bot follows recently?

I've been getting 100+ every day, some are very obvious typical empty blogs random url, no title, default profile and banner, some have a regular tumblr esque url, title, background, and banner and maybe even some likes and reblogs but usually very few and not relating to the blogs they follow. A handful more are promoting scam businesses, very few are explicit. Most, not all, of them have likes and follows visible.

A lot of them, not all, are only following like three blogs, my main and two of like five blogs that have also posted mouthwashing related content, which is the only commonality I've seen so far. Nearly all of them are following at least one of like ten blogs I've seen pop up a couple times.

I haven't been getting DMs or asks from them. I don't get notified that they followed, they just appear. I've reached out to Tumblr support but they were basically like we know about the problem but don't have a fix coming anytime soon. I've had to manually block hundreds of blogs and it's pretty annoying and overwhelming.

Anyone know what they want or how to get them to stop?

Hello! I’ve been so ill this past few weeks and been hospitalized because of medical concerns. Found out that I have a tumor and it was already malignant. I have a Stage 2A Cervical Cancer and needs help ASAP. 🥺

I am only answering this publicly to say: this is spam.

This blog's activity started four days ago. It tries to make itself look real by having a lot of reblogs. However, it reblogged the vast majority of its content within the space of 13 minutes four days ago. It answered an ask from another spam blog which was since deleted again to make it look like it’s real.

I’ve noticed recently that these blogs often interact with other posts asking for aid so they look like they’re boosting the community. This is the first one I’ve seen where the interaction was so clearly with another spam blog.

It’s really sad that capitalism leads us to the place where people do need to ask for stuff on the internet but as always be very careful about who you support.

There are probably people in your life who need help (there certainly are in mine), but for people on tumblr especially, if you can get to the bottom of their blog in less than two minutes of scrolling they aren’t real.

Been noticing an influx of what I’m pretty sure are fake accounts following me. New breed, they’ll have a profile as a furry/fandom artist but they always have the same kind of watermark (a shutterstock style one with “not sold” or something to that effect). It’s.. weird. Didn’t take any screenshots because I felt bad at the possibility they may be real artists but I’m pretty certain now & will be screenshotting any future examples

So I've started seeing W*ight L*ss (censored to prevent the post showing up in their tags) spam blogs popping up. Kinda annoying, but I just block and report and move on while rolling my eyes.

But I looked at the tags of the posts... and they're LITERALLY advertising to the eating disorder community. W*ight l*ss scam bots are intentionally encouraging people with restrictive eating disorders.

You cannot make this up.
