The black dog is literally me irl. I was one of the oldest kids growing up in my old neighborhood and I'm also the oldest of my cousins on my mom's side of the family. Now that we're all older, I feel like everyone outgrew me and I'm still the height of a high schooler.

At the school where I've worked for the past two years or so, I student-taught second graders who were so smol. Now, they're fourth graders, about to graduate, and a few of them are taller than me. 🥹

I might get hate for this but I don't care. I literally just have to mention this since I saw this recently:

If you write something on Wattpad/Quotev/AO3/whatever and AI-generate the 'art' on its cover page, I'm not reading/supporting your work. It doesn't matter if you completely wrote your story on your own; if you actually took the time to put in effort in your writing, you don't get to suddenly be lazy on the cover art. "I'm not good at art!!!!" Okay, cool. Just go google search images (pro-tip: add '-ai' at the end of your search query to filter out some of the slop). That's what I did back in the way when I used to write stuff. Pick up a pencil and learn to draw, use a Picrew, heck, just USE A PLAIN BACKGROUND AND SLAP THE STORY'S TITLE ON IT. Anything other than generate something on a program trained on other people's art without their credit/permission.

Randomly came across this post while looking at some of the older stuff on my blog and I recently downloaded Kisekae 2 once more, so I updated my little persona!!

She's meant to be a mix of current me plus what I wish I looked like. I've got the casual shirt + jeans + converse look down, and I do even own a few berets and have made a bunch of kandi bracelets. All that's left is to probably grow my hair out and get it dyed, and probably get an adult size shirt of the one I used to have (even though it's probably not even produced anymore)...

Evolution of my Kisekae self! ✨

That’s right - I’ve been using Kisekae 2 for a while now (started using it sometime in 2015, so almost seven years)! Surprisingly, I’ve used it a few times to make myself, so I guess that’s a good reason I made an - albeit ideal - version of myself this time.

The first one was made in May of 2016, the second one in October of 2016, and the final one (which you may have already seen in a previous post) was made in January of this year (2022)!

And yeah, if you couldn’t already tell in the second one, it was actually posted to my DeviantArt account back in the day! I… actually don’t know if I want to return to DA, I despise the community and I don’t like its whole “Eclipse” redesign. Consider this Tumblr blog the sole place where I’ll actively post my art. :)

Some days I can brush off the ugliness that’s growing and growing every day, but yesterday was not one of those days. Watching my beloved Muppet friends with my son makes me feel so awful that we’ve gotten to this point after growing up learning to include others, embrace our differences, support libraries and parks, learn everything we can, and cultivate compassion.

But as Kermit himself said, “We have nothing to be ashamed of. We tried our best, and if we failed, we failed together, and I still think that’s a win.”

Sending out all the love in the world. Maybe it will help.

Okay, so this dude WAS living rent-free in my head and didn't want to leave at the time I used these Picrews and wrote up this post, but now he kind of got kicked out and my brain space is occupied with several of my other OCs so whatever. This has been in my drafts long enough and I've decided to drop this now anyway.

It's Nathaniel! I featured him in a previous Picrew post, but while I was making a different character, I got a pop-up showing off different makers specifically for male characters! I thought, okay, sure, why not, I'll try them out.

I didn't like the options on some of the makers featured so I just scrapped what I had so far, but I was happy with these four!

With the first one, I guess I ended up putting him in something he'd wear for his job as a history professor (among other things - see the first link for more info about him). I didn't really like a lot of the hair options in the second one, but with the best style I found (the only 'decent' long hair in my opinion was that messy one), I just had to turn him into what he'd look like if you woke him up on the wrong side of the bed and he hasn't had his morning coffee yet. The third one has to be my favorite one even though it didn't have the hairstyle I originally wanted for him, but his wife does like to play and style his hair so maybe she put it in that cute updo. And the fourth one's okay, I guess. I think it does have the most accurate hairstyle he'd have normally when it's down.

This was supposed to be my 600th post, but I ended up reblogging something else so oh well.

I'm a pianist (10+ years and counting) and I feel like this is pretty accurate!! I'm definitely the kind of person that keeps tons of tabs open on my computer because I've convinced myself I need them and can't close them just yet. I'm dedicated to my interests and tend to get pretty upset when I'm not allowed to pursue them (maybe because I might be on the autism spectrum, but idk for sure). I've also had lots of friends and family (and students - I work in a school) tell me I'm really good at drawing and playing the piano. I often have to remind myself to not work too hard to the point of stressing out and to take breaks in between activities.

Of course, I made myself a silly little Siamese looking cat with a Starbucks drink. 💕
