Its k/s day! Ever been like wow amok time is so gay dis they do that on purpose?? I just did a semi deep dive and I want to talk about specifically theodore sturgeon, the original writer of amok time.
So theodore sturgeon is a famous sci-fi writer, but I want to talk about one short story he did called "The World Well Lost". Short version is its about 2 male space explorers who realize theyre in love. This story was controversial, his publisher rejected it AND sent out letters to OTHER publishers urging them to reject it without reading because of its positive portrayal of homosexuality. (He wrote another story too but this is the important one)
Heres a brief description of its two main characters.
"Rootes is the Captain of the team. He is an arrogant, loquacious womanizer. Grunty serves under the Captain. He is a hulking, taciturn poet, so-named because he grunts rather than speaks. Despite their radically different personalities, the two friends are famed in space travel circles for their teamwork and efficiency. They refuse to travel with any other spacers."
So we have a brash captain and their intellectual strong man first officer. Sounds REAL familiar dont it. It's not a 1 to 1, but there's definitely similarities there, and this was written about 15 years before star trek.
So theodore sturgeon is known for sympathetic queer characters in sci fi, cool. I also find it HILARIOUS that there's ONE other episode of star trek he's written
SHORE LEAVE
Ya know
The one with the back rub scene
He didn't just give birth to slash fan fiction, he's been doing it for years
#if you have anything else to add please do#i couldnt find any interviews of him talking about amok time#but i did find a couple of him talking about writing homosexuality and censorship#i also have a lot of other fun facts about this episode i found but i tried to keep this spirky#star trek#spirk#spock#jim kirk#k/s day#k/s#kirk/spock#space husbands#captains personal log#star trek tos#amok time#theodore sturgeon#also i assumed hed be gay/bi but i havent really found anything#not that that means a lot but#sci fi

Bethesda assumed people would be happy with the generic quests in Starfield, but they don’t understand what makes Skyrim’s generic quests appealing.
I did a fetch quest in the Reach. The quest was “get an ore sample from Shor’s Stone”. The most generic fetch quest imaginable. Firstly, you learn some lore. You learn that alchemists are involved in mining operations. They don’t just make potions, they analyse ores for miners for whatever reason.
So I get the ore from Shor’s Stone and the guy complains that he’s been waiting. Then I find out why he’s in a bad mood anyway. The mine is overrun with spiders and the guards aren’t doing anything about it. So I kill the spiders and get paid. Not only that, but I’ve made a friend, and also a marriage candidate. Further, the world has physically changed. The miners have gone back to work instead of sitting around all day.
I take the ore back to Riften and the old woman thanks me and gives me some potions. But now she’s my friend and greets me differently. As she is my friend, she counts towards becoming thane, as well as being a potential sacrifice for the Ebony Blade.
That’s one boring fetch quest and I’ve made two friends, become closer to becoming thane, changed the world physically, got a potential husband, and got money and potions. Skyrim’s fetch quests lead you to other quests and other hand-crafted locations. Or at the very least they give you some lore - such as the Hag’s Cure quest in Markarth which is a simple delivery but confirms that viagra exists in Skyrim.
Compare that to a Starfield fetch quest. You come across a generic, unnamed settlement and talk to a generic, unnamed NPC. He also wants me to collect ore, so I do. He pays me, and that’s it. He doesn’t even have a name. There’s no reason to do the quest since i’d get more money from selling 3 guns looted from Spacers. Nothing has changed. No friends or connections made. No lore learnt. The whole quest was a waste of time. Bethesda assumed people would be happy with their generic quests but those quests provide nothing. They’re useless filler that nobody would gain any enjoyment from.

Hold on my brain is braining
So I got this Swedish anon a long time ago. And it was not too long before the shows in Sweden. But it didn’t seem to really mean anything at the time.
But I remember talking about the way Taylor was saying she’d be back to Sweden was weird.
And the light is shining on her in this first pic in a way that looks like an alien beam. And the post right before this was:
It’s as if she was beamed up to go to Sweden. And then dropped back down. ↗️↘️
So what’s with Sweden?
Which looks an awful lot like:
Hmm but that 🚀 in the treehouse post… where else is that?
& Karlie’s recent reel’s song:
Not to mention, the tree house looks a lot like the clouds in lavender haze… with the ladder.
🧐
So is she going back to “Sweden” or going back to her Spaceship?

I'm rewatching Starstruck in the break, can I say I DESPERATELY would have loved to have seen this intergalactic chase across the stars from the Other Side😭
Like okay, campaign where you're a crew of kooky spacers on the run, classic, fun, oh the adventures we had.., can you Imagine what this story would have been like from the pursuers side? From Lucienne and UFTP?
You're Lucienne and you just got SCREWED on the corporate ladder and are already dealing with some rich trust fund kid DYING yet also leaving you in Charge of an insane company.
And during that you find out oh my god the world might be destroyed?? And there's a Princeps who has a super special computer that will decide the fate of the universe? So you stash them away to keep them safe and go back to covering up the murder you might be to blame for, because universe destroying computer is like priority TWO right now.
And then you find out?? Your ex lover friend has become a pirate???! And has STOLEN the princeps??! AND THE WORLD ENDING COMPUTER??! And quit??! And posted Nudes to the world??! And they look amazing?
So okay okay new priority is FIND THEM right NOW so you send all the resources in the world to go snatch them up which should be easy enough because you've seen them run, they're literally a weak and flailing office worker in a pencil skirt.
Welp! Next report comes in and they exploded a building with sex putty??? And decimated a fleet of the best fighters you can hire? And had time to go to a dogshow in between???
Fine, okay, it's fine because you KNOW they'll slip up again and they do! They show up,,., in a live stream? Partying with the ceo of space uber?? In a casino? That they just OPENED? WHILE THEY'RE ON THE RUN?!
So you go to that planet and go to contact the sheriff and his Head is on a Fucking Spike because your Friend absolutely wasted him? And kicked every police officer out of town so the whole town could go super super hard for space burning man?
And have escaped Again.
So now you're in some kind of room with like 20 screens and probably two blackberries in each hand, going full manhunt. Face recognition software, algorithms, zooming in on photos and yelling Enhance.
And you find them! And they👏 are👏 at👏 Disneyland👏! What! The! Fuck!
You send your best guys again! (And also??! These 'best guys' maybe have a space slug in their skull that's going to end the world! Can't even focus on that rn!). And then when they get back, happy and proud they show you the Princeps that they've captured and it's god damned thin air! Because it was a hologram and this dumb sonuva bitch is zonked out of his mind from a fish psychic. Great, of course. Of Course.
You're being hounded by your company, you still don't know where your 'dead fiance' is, you're running out of time. How are you ever going to find them- You check your phone they are doing a hunger games at Las Vegas. And a rival company has made them influencers. And they're famous.
Of course.
But you do pull it off in the end! You get them! You imprison them! And their one fatal flaw? They decided to reunite one of their crew members with their birth mother while being wanted criminals.
So that's the chase you got them (they escape again of course they escape, and the birth mother turns out to be a Hell of a business woman and maybe just did a masterful corporate maneuver on you.)
And it's so important to know that this entire time you've been chasing a Big Hot Dog.

a story by @rox-and-prose and @cipheramnesia
Part 8: Vigil
"I am not prone to long speeches," Vanya Steyr had said, welcoming the incoming new hires to the G1 Major Treaty Enforcement Central orientation day. Maryam had thought they seemed very impressive, perhaps evem dangerous.
"You will learn all the information you need to start your jobs here. You will not learn one right way to do your jobs until you are in the middle of them." They had stood at the front of a sizable auditorium, and had not used any amplification. Maryam remembered even after the subsequent weeks of stultifying bureaucratic form memorization and procedural filing specific to Major Treaties, the departments, grades, fire safety, system safety, and so on.
Years of experience, climbing the ranks, passing pilot exams and system plotting. All of it each time seemed like the most information she could hope to retain, Vanya stuck with her. "When you are doing this work, at all levels," they said, "remember why we have major treaties. They are to protect us, earth and her civilization, wherever we may find ourselves. We protect ourselves from destroying ourselves, because it is our nature."
That was the most of Vany Steyr she had ever seen outside of the odd sysnet photo or short interview up until they took a personal interest in the Charybdis WMD case. Following Steyr's system jumps in the Marzanna, a ship that by what few specs she'd had the chance to glimpse was perhaps hundreds or thousands of times more dangerous than any WMD case she'd worked or reviewed, she worried over "it is our nature."
Maryam had always operated with the consideration that it was in the nature of everyone from earth civilization to protect themselves. This idea had given her comfort and guidance in her cases and the vast organized network of central bureaucracy. The scope of civilization, she sometimes pretended, was possible to see as one vastly extended process to keep its many inhabitants or societies safe. It drove fear and love and hate and hope and all those things.
She knew it was an oversimplification, but it gave her a place to start when she wasn't sure. The one possibility she'd never entertained until now was that Steyr had never meant it was in the nature of civilization to protect itself.
Trevor remained intensely focused in pulling the Lev Nitoburg off the map for the Marzanna's deep spacers. Maryam had no idea what was ever going on with the woman. Serah looked worried, maybe a little bit pale. It had been one thing to figure out Kan was spying for the boss, quite another to decide the boss was violating the most basic rule in civilation, while it happened right in front of their eyes.
Minutes ticked away between the system resolutions. Serah caught Maryam looking and gave a sick smile. She got up and went back to Serah, crouching by her chair. "Serah," she said.
"Hey," Serah said.
"There is no need worry so dearly," Maryam said. "This is the type of case we have all the time. It is nothing, a piece of cake."
"You're awful at lying."
"I am. But you have seen more of the Marzanna specifications than myself. Would you consider it falling within regulations? Would the Lev Nitoburg?"
"No... and... it's pushing it, toeing the letter of the treaty..."
"So it goes," Maryam said. "I only know I am of the belief that we owe it to our civilization to safeguard the treaty against WMD's, even if they are of our own invention."
"You're probably right." Serah looked at her screen. "Did you know that thing can project an artificial stellar gravity well?"
"I had some sense but I did not realize the extent of it."
"It could probably pull some planets apart. Maybe even destroy a sun, if you used it right." Serah's face was grim.
Maryam took one of Serah's hands in two of hers. Serah squeezed. "We are making the right choice." She squeezed back.
"We gotta be. Nothing but the right choice could ever feel this dumb."

The Barrissoka Fusion You Never Knew You Wanted
So in celebration of FINALLY rounding out the originally-planned slate of barrissoka Disney AU/fusion challenge fics, I thought I'd put together a masterlist for those of you who are new, returning, or just never got around to them when they were first posted!
By sheer good luck, there are an even split of AU types--three fusions (ie, Star Wars characters adapted to a non-GFFA setting), and three alternate timelines (where the core setting is the same, but events developed differently--in this case, in a way analogous to the core plot of the movie the challenge was based on.).
Fusions
Through The Darkness And The Shadows
Setting: Fantasy-Medieval AU: Beauty and the Beast
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young princess lived in a shining castle…
It'll Sound Like A Promise
Setting: Fantasy-Medieval (Scotland Redux) AU: Brave
A clan leader’s heir had to strive for perfection. That was why Ahsoka was currently hiding in a tree.
Look To The Sky With Hope
Setting: Pirates/Fantasy Age of Sail AU: Pirates of the Caribbean (62k, 5 chapters)
Anakin Skywalker. Every sailor knows that name. Captain of the ghost ship Twilight, ferryman of the dead. Some say he preys on merchantmen, out of vengeance for the loss of his ship and crew; others that he and the charred black phantom are an honest sailor's friend, a protector in the dark and the mist. According to Ahsoka, the truth is both and neither. But the Twilight is...well, it's not real. Barriss Offee may be new to this whole pirate thing, but she knows that. It's a legend, a story, a sailor's superstition; like mermaids and Fridays and the Kraken. The ship of the dead and its captain, they're just a myth. Aren't they?
Alternate Universes
Going My Way?
AU: Aristocats Podfic: By Writers_Block, available here.
Shipwrecked and stranded on a remote agricultural planet, Barriss Offee doesn't dare reveal her identity as a Jedi for fear of drawing unwanted attention that might endanger the younglings in her care. Enter the charming, compassionate young spacer Ashla, who drops everything to take the group under her protection and asks nothing in return, as Barriss grows more and more unhappy with the necessity of lying to a young woman who's been nothing but honest with them. Meanwhile, Ahsoka Tano and her master are on an undercover mission. She really wishes she could tell the scared young mother she's taken in that she's a Jedi, but, well. The mission has to come first.
Back To The Wind
AU: Cars. (I cannot emphasize enough that this is an AU and not a fusion. They are not cars. They are people. For the love of god. It's just a plot adaptation. Please stop asking me if they're supposed to be cars.)
A hyperdrive malfunction strands Ahsoka in a nearly-abandoned trading settlement in the Outer Rim. That's not the problem. While she works off her community service sentence, she ends up in the unofficial custody of a weirdly hostile Mirialan who won't stop giving her these long, searching looks and talking about the failures of the Jedi Order like she knows something Ahsoka doesn't. That's not the problem either. The problem is...Ahsoka's starting to wonder if she really wants to go back.
When These Moments Have Passed
AU: The Fox and the Hound
Jedi Master Plo Koon was sent to Shili to retrieve a Force-sensitive youngling...and arrived just a few hours too late. Years later, a Jedi padawan and an indentured bounty hunter find themselves in the same spaceport. They shouldn't be friends, not really, but...they're more alike than they are different, straining under the weight of roles they can't escape. That bond is stronger than the galaxy's expectations. Until it isn't.
Bonus
While these are NOT part of the very specific "I can turn any classic Disney movie into a barrissoka AU, fucking try me" original challenge that spawned all this, they're some very nice AUs and if you're into AUs in general, you'll probably appreciate:
Iced Offee, Caramel Twist
AU: Coffeeshop AU
(What? Someone had to write it.)
Mirror, Mirror
AU: Sith AU
(Series/Duology)

Haut de corsage en mousseline plissée. Le poignet pareil au col.
(1.) Dinner corsage for young woman or girl. Very simple in itself, in sulfur silk canvas, this bodice takes all its character from the very rich collar that accompanies it; this collar is in muslin inlaid with very beautiful lace, and ruffled in muslin hemmed with lace; the ruffle is mounted on the pass by a river of days. Pleated chiffon bodice top. The wrist is the same as the collar.
Matériaux: 4 mètres de toile de soie.

(2.) Reunion bodice for a young woman or young girl, in ivory louisine mounted with tight gathers around a rich guipure yoke on which a fine braid of embroidered silk outlines teeth. The neckline is gathered, the front is a large buttoned pleat. The gathers take up the top of the sleeve, the bouffant of which tightens into a cuff similar to the yoke.
Matériaux: 4 mètres louisine.
—
(3.) Light bodice for a young woman or girl, in very light white muslin, diagonally striped with yellowed lace in between. Wider inserts highlight the neckline, create a round yoke, and cross at the top of the sleeve and on the wrist. Under these spacers is placed a transparent ribbon of the shade you like: sky, royal pink, lemon, tangerine, etc. Liberty bib tie in the same tone as the chosen ribbon.
Matériaux: 2 mètres de mousseline blanche.

A New Dawn
Summary: Fives died...only it's a little more complicated than that.
Word Count: 1114
Warnings: Death, blood, technically character death but it doesn't stick
Characters: ARC Trooper Fives, F! Twi'lek reader
Tagging: @bad4amficideas @justiceandwar98 @Mira-loves-starwars @tiredbi-peach
@dukeoftheblackstar @trixie2023 @kimiheartblade @padawancat97 @falconfeather23435
@etod @n0vqni
A/N: So, I have Fives brain rot and I'm going to make it everyone's problem. But I don't have a whole story in me right now, so have a drabble. Drabbly thing.
Okay. Not so much a drabble, lol.
Fives died.
He knows he died. He was shot, right through the heart. And, without his armor to protect him, he died. Hell, even with his armor to protect him, he still would have died.
It's a side effect of being shot through the heart, you see.
Anyway. Fives was shot, by his own older brother (rude much), and he was shot through the heart. Ergo. He died.
Easy.
Simple even.
This is why he finds himself absolutely befuddled when he wakes up and finds himself sitting in the Kamino morgue, with a very healed Y-Incision scar on his chest, and an even more healed blaster starburst over his heart.
First off, since when do the Kaminoans do autopsies on clones?
Second off, since when is a blaster bolt to the heart survivable?
Fives pinches his arm, that's what you're supposed to do when you're dreaming, right? At least, that's what Ahsoka said once.
Of course. This doesn't account for the fact that he's supposed to be dead.
He sits up and looks around. Yup. This is definitely a morgue. All of the dead bodies everywhere kind of make it obvious.
Of course, so far as he's aware the bodies are supposed to be on gurneys, not sprawled across the floor. And he's pretty sure that morgues are supposed to be clean and not look like a scene from a horror movie.
He wonders if he should be concerned about his lack of concern about the dead Kaminaons sprawled around the room. Fives thinks about it for a moment, and then decides that he's in shock and that is why he's not reacting.
Sounds logical, at least.
Fives swings his legs off the side of the table and then pauses. He lifts the sheet that is doing a very poor job of keeping the cold out, actually, and releases a thoughtful hum.
Naked.
Well yes, of course he's naked. It's kind of hard to do an autopsy on a dressed person. Well. He assumes. He's never actually done an autopsy before. That was more Kix's thing.
Fives looks around the room, there must be something—
Ah! There!
He hops to his feet, being careful to step around both the bodies and the pools of blood, to pull a pair of sweatpants out of a nearby closet. They're clean, which is good enough for him, so he pulls them on.
They're also a little big on him, made for an Alpha class vod'e probably. Whatever, beggers can't be choosers and he is not running around naked.
He'll catch a cold.
Fives grabs a sweatshirt as well and is about to pull it on when the door to the morgue slams open. He jumps and whips around. He doesn't have a weapon outside of the sweatshirt, but he can make that work.
The person on the other side of the door let's out a startled shout when she sees him, and she flings a ball of flimsy across the room. It hits Fives in the chest and bounces, uselessly, to the floor.
Fives stares at the paper for a moment, and then he looks at the woman. She's a twi'lek, short and curvy, and she's wearing what looks like scrounged spacer armor.
"Who are you!" She demands as she points at him accusingly.
"I live here, who are you?"
The woman pauses, "You live in the morgue?"
Fives pauses as well, "Do you always answer a question with a question?"
"Do you?" The woman's gaze drifts to his chest and she releases a noise that sounds a lot like that tooka kitten that Tup once tried to smuggle onto the Resolute, "Did someone try to autopsy you!?" She sounds horrified.
Which, Fives thinks, is probably an appropriate response.
"No."
"...but...the scars..."
"They didn't try, so far as I can tell. They succeeded."
"Uh..."
"I was dead. Shot right through the heart."
"Cool. Cool. Cool cool cool." She says quickly, "So, like, you're a zombie."
Fives tilts his head to consider the comment, "Well, I was dead and now I'm not, so I suppose, following the technical definition, yes. I am."
"That's...cool."
He finally pulls the sweatshirt on, it's really cold in here actually. "I don't feel like eating your brains though, so no need to worry about that."
"That's awesome." She hasn't taken her eyes off of him, "So, uh, did you do...this?" She asks as she gestures vaguely towards the bodies.
"...they were dead when I woke up."
"So, there's something else here slaughtering people and it's not the actual zombie?"
"So it would appear."
"That's super."
Fives hums noncommittally, "If you bring me to the Jedi, I'll help you escape." He offers, it's a good offer. He's a very talented soldier, in his opinion.
The little twi'lek blinks at him, "Uh...the Jedi are dead. Like. Super dead."
"Ah. Palpatine."
"You are very well versed in the horrors of the galaxy for a zombie." She notes.
"Well, I was killed because I learned Palpatine was going to kill the Jedi."
"Oh. That sucks. It's a shame you weren't able to tell anyone." She offers, before she jumps at a loud crash from the hallway, "Oh. Right."
"What was that?"
"It...might have been an assassin droid."
"Why are assassin droids after you?"
"What?! They're not! Why would you ask me that? What are you, a cop?"
"That wasn't suspicious at all."
"Shush. You're going to get me caught Zombie!"
"My name is Fives."
"That's a number."
"It's a name and it's mine."
She squints at him, and he stares right back at her, and then he jumps when she claps suddenly, "Help me not die and find the stupid thing that I'm looking for here, and I...will take you with me Zombie Fives."
"...To do what?"
"uh..."
"Counteroffer," Fives offers as he leans in and grins sharply, "I save your life, and then you help me murder Palpatine."
Her lower lip juts out childishly, "Counter-counteroffer. You save my life, and I help you meet people who are also trying to kill Palpatine, and then you help me save my family from slavery."
Fives leans back, "Counter-counter-counteroffer. I save your life, you help me kill Palpatine, I help you save your family from slavery, and then you help me save my family from slavery."
"Deal!"
"Deal." He stretches, "Give me your blaster and get behind the desk." He grins when she tosses her blaster at him and then jumps behind the desk, just as the door starts glowing.
Fives has been having something of a bad day. His grin sharpens as the assassin droid steps into the room, "Hello misplaced aggression."

Hey you should check out this Kickstarter for-
ZETA GALAXY OUTLAWS #1!
An anti-capitalist space western
The Good, The Bad, and The Exploited on the Final Frontier (24-page comic)
Humanity has taken to the stars, pioneered by the elite few in the search for unending profit. When it comes to protecting and serving the status quo of the new frontier, the Rangers of the Zeta Galaxy stand ready. These celebrity peacekeepers bleed, fight, and kill to deter any outlaws and agitators who would dare challenge the bottom line of the Conglomerate. When the opportunity arises for a second-generation spacer from a dead-end mining planet to become the first Black Woman in their ranks, Tex Wyatt leaps at the chance to make galactic history. Enhanced with cybernetics and sponsored by the wealthiest arms manufacturer in the galaxy, Tex’s first assignment puts her on a collision course with the radical outlaw, Vega Corazón. But in a world where the line is blurred between outlaw and activist, Tex will need to question her worldview to become the greatest “hero” the galaxy has ever seen.
ZETA GALAXY OUTLAWS combines the sharp satire of Sorry to Bother You with the space western genre fusion of Cowboy Bebop. Writer/Artist Kenneth Laster (Try Not To Die, Champions of the Wolf) brings you this dynamic 24-page first issue that opens the door to a galaxy-spanning story about Black excellence, commodification of identity, and finding another way to live.

SPACER APOCALYPSE
Y/n a ruthless thief, raised by Silvers pirate crew.
Jim an Intersollar academy graduate and spacer.
Childhood friends split in enemies.
3 years old:
Sarah placed her hands at her hips when she heard the voices in Jims room, how the younh boy laughed and the girl giggled.
"James Hawkins" Sarah said as she opened the door looking at the two kids, both putting on their best puppy dog eyes.
Jim laughed bit when his mother lifted him in her arma before the woman turned to Y/n.
The little girls young doe eyes looked at her, her greyish eyes being amazed when the book of pirate storys opened once again.
The kids played before Sarah led the young her back to her room and tucking her in.
"Do you think pirates are real?" She asked while the woman turned her night light on.
"I think, everything is possible if you believe it strong enough" Sarah said before closing the door.
22 years later:
And boy did the girl believe, as one of the most feared pirates in galaxy, her crew quite large but she only trusted few people and her black ship with the old sails drew attention and fear in any dock.
When Jims father left, he draged her with and soon she was on her own untill Jhon Silver found her and raised her.
She had seen Jim at the search for treasure planet but refused to get on the ship.
Of course she felt bad for never returning or even writing a letter to note she was okey but she had a life, a reputation.
So when the pirate meet was now right behind the overwhelming doors of the Inn she so dreadfuly wished she would have played sick and not come.
The black dress reached above her ankles flattering her greyish blue skin tone and tje blacl boots made of same lether as her belt and pirate hat that sat on her grey hair.
She entered after few bug breaths making her way straight upstairs to the bathroom only to pass her old bedroom on the way.
She moved to the door, a small crack left open the same way it was when she was draged away by the man she barely ever spoke with.
She opened the door steping inside, it was exactly the same as it was when ahe left.
The pink walls and white forniture with all her stuffed animals and as she picked up her pink teddy bear with an eyepatch and a pirate hat that Sarah had made for her she was reminded of the days she tried to be a good pirate the type thay stole for the poor and suported everyone and her gaze fell to the mirror and she closed her eyes shut.
"Hello?" Sarahs voice ringed in her ears as she slowly turned to the woman, the teddy bear in hand "oh Y/n"
The woman didnt waste a second to take the girl in a warm embrace, though in her own eyes Y/n has changed much, her skin covered in scars one marking her collor bone and another her lip but in Sarahs eyes she was still the little girl with doe eyes thay dreamed of pirates and adventures.
"Just wait untill Jim, knows you are-"
"Im not. Im not back its just for tonight" Y/n said looking down before placing the bear back and leaving to her ship.
"Captain, look what we found snooping around the deck" one of the men said beforr steping away to make a clear view for their boss.
"Leave" she ordered the men and all scattered away to the party, she was not sure if it was fear or exitment for party that made them move so quickly but her mind didnt dwell on it too much when she looked at the man tied to her main mast.
He was clearly taller and the usual pony tain was now oddly suiting him as he stared right at her, his blue eyes surely burning holes in her tinted skin.
"What are you doing here" she asked as she untied him.
"Is that anyway to say hi to an old friend" Jim asked as he watched the girl lean on the railing of her boat taking her hat off.
"A friend? You have been making my life a shit hole for past few years with your whole intersollar acadamy graduate bullshit" she sais harsly crossing her arms as he leaned on the main mast his usual smirk still there.
She could have bet he had the same one while he was watching her strugle to start the ship after he messed with wires on it a few months back.
But boy did that smirk had an effect on her.
"Yes cause a friend would have at least sent a note to let people know they are fine"
"Well i thought you guys thought that i- oh whatever just leave" she said trowing her arms up before leaving for her bedroom in captains room earning a chuckle from the man as he followed her stoping her at the steps traping her between his hands.
"No no no, i deserve an apology, i was very worried" he said leaning in but she sliped away fastly before she mumbled something among the lines of an apology her voice nervouse as she tried closing her doors but he went in anyways now backing her slowly up "and another one, cause i was so hurt when i saw you were okey but no note" he pouted his hand flying to his heart in a mocking way before he caught the girls waist when she triped over her own feet.
His forhead touched hers while his free hand was on her neck as he tried to find her eyes.
"Im sorry" she mumbled
"Its okey, i forgive you" he said before kissing the cornor of her mouth and moving to centre but she pulled back.
"This is-"
"Wrong? Yeah i know, it like spacer apocalypse but since when do we care" he said before smashing his lips on her.
His lips.
Her lips.
Apocalypse.

spacer woman 🪐
day 05: another planet
im catching up! slowly but surely.... my poor alien girlie went through so much trouble for these shots 😭 she had to build a rocket and then she got abducted by other aliens while she was building the rocket. and after that experience she developed a fear of the dark which made rocket building 10x more difficult (bc it's outside 🤦♀️) and also a million vampires came to pester her (imagine that). ugh this game can be so chaotic sometimes. but anyways, she finally made it to sixam (thank god) and I got some pretty fun screenies!! I feel like aliens do not get much love compared to the other occults which is sad bc they're pretty fun guys :( but anyhow, im having a lot of fun with this challenge! thanks @themintsimmer 🤗

In other news relating to N7 Day, it seems that Amazon has a Mass Effect series in the works. Aside from the fact that Amazon has proven they cannot be trusted with The Wheel of Time or anything Tolkien wrote, the role playing nature of the game is going to make it quite difficult to make any story that will satisfy general audiences.
Is Commander Shepard going to be a man or woman? What ethnicity? What class? What background? Who will the love interest be? I personally preferred either a Caucasian female Shepard (red hair green eyes thank you kindly), Colonist and Ruthless background, Soldier class and romancing Liara; or Caucasian male Shepard, Earthborn and War Hero background, Solider class and romancing Miranda. If I turned either of those into a series, plenty of people who wanted something else (Engineer Spacer who loves Tali for instance) could reject it out of hand. Who will die at Virmire? Will the Virmire Survivor go on to survive the Cerberus Coup? What will happen on the Suicide Mission?
That's not even addressing the issue of personality. Part of the fun of a role playing game is that you can be a noble accepting hero, or a rude racist asshole who never apologizes for anything. I really don't trust Amazon writers anymore. Particularly in who they are willing to be rude to, and what topics.
This ultimately strikes me as another case of Hollywood trying to adapt some beloved franchise, instead of taking the risk on a new idea; and then quite possibly ruining it, through incompetent writers who insist on preachy and downright stupid dialogue.
But maybe this one will be good. We can hope at least.
