I just realized that me being immediately endeared to Melchiah in SR1 and the “rotten”(ha!) deal he got, his body large this bloated mess, a patchwork made up of the bodies of both victims and acolytes alike, destined to constant decay, to constantly assimilate new flesh... probably came from my great love of The Thing ‘82.

It’s so obvious in retrospect!

 In fact that’s also probably the reason I was fascinated with Jenova from FFVII, she really is jrpg!The Thing.

Raziel - Soul Reaver

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered is here, for the 25th anniversary of this game, the epic conflict between Kain and Raziel.

Especially the first Soul Reaver game is my favorite and I'm happy that it's coming back in a Remaster, so I'm going to play this game, go back and see the great story of Raziel being betrayed by Kain and I don't think you'll see me posting around here for a while.

Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered has briefly appeared on the PlayStation Store, seemingly confirming a leak that occurred this Summer when a remastered version of the two games was mentioned on the base of a statue at San Diego Comic-Con. The branding was quickly removed, but it was too late because fans worldwide(myself very much included) were hyped by the idea that Kain and Raziel…

And so ended my journey with this series of games. I'm officially taking a vacation with Legacy of Kain drawings. And what can I say, having walked this path with you? "The coin is still turning" , "time fade even legend"? I look at old Kain and say, put on a fucking helmet before you go on a trip. No, seriously take care, use a condom, insure your life, and so on. Don't be like Kain, don't skimp on yourself..

Holy moly Soul Reaver Remaster is real! Granted I was hoping it would include Defiance or heck the Blood Omen games too, but I hope they remake those too.
