My people in Legacy of Kain. It’s not about cartoonification. It never was. They needed to up the polygons and smooth the textures on the remaster otherwise these games should have looked truly terrible on today’s tech.

Those rich colours are the palette of Legacy of Kain. It always has been. You’re only seeing it for the first time in HD.

I do love the new design for Rahab from the recent boss reveal of the Soul Reaver remasters. But at first glance I thought that those ridges along his upper lips were a mustache, and now I can't unsee it.

Just about 26 years of waiting and planning and then 3 months between the line art and shading sessions, he is done.

As many people who know me know, this game series is always referred to as my "lifes blood". Video games, vampires, the list goes on.. I wouldn't have met such amazing people without it, I wouldn't have taken certain paths in my life without it! It took me not only this many years to think of a tattoo for my love for Legacy of Kain, but it also to finding the right artist. I've met many and none of them wow'd me with their take on all sorts of styles as Mikey Fishhook has! I gave him references, told him about the game, about Kain and said "I want to see what you do!" and I couldn't be more over the moon with it! Collectively the tattoo took 6 hours, 2 for the line art and 4 for the shading.. Most of which I was asleep for... Only true traumatized tattoo enjoyers will understand that lol

Two classic PS1-era action games are getting remastered for a new generation, as Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2 Remastered is coming to PlayStation 5. A release date has not yet been announced.

Spent the day doodling Raziel to figure out how I wanna draw him, it's been a while. He's just a lil guy.

His design has always been cool af.

Obvs, heavily influenced by the Alien Queen.

But then his face comes apart and you think ‘holy f*ckin hell’ this is so much worse. Like the alien queen and The Thing had a baby. 😱

And it’s Zephon. And this is not a room… and that thing I just walked through wasn’t a door. 😨

And he’s actually f*cking proud about that fact. 🤢

That said, it’s a cool and enjoyable boss fight. I still hate his minions for the amount of time I had them down, but not out…

Seriously, the silent cathedral is not my favourite level. Ultra cool boss, though. Can’t wait to get my hands on this.
