It took three and a half years, but I'm finally up-to-date with my hi-res jobstone illustrations. I started with the Summoner during summer of 2021, and I just finished my last one (Viper) a few days ago.

This project started because it annoyed me that there weren't any official hi-res images of the jobstones. I just really wanted to look at the pretty rocks that played such an important role in the game!!! So hopefully someone else who is obsessive about in-game items can derive some pleasure from this.

Bearing Sins of the Past Ch 14 Soul

Estinien harrumphed. “What’s left of Nidhogg is in me, and in this lance. No other can fully use it, without the resonance of his aether. But we get along well enough.”

Alberic studied him for a long moment. “I suppose such an experience would leave its scars,” he said carefully.

“You weren’t wrong,” Estinien said. “To forsake the Eye.”

Minutes ticked by as Alberic continued his maintenance with Estinien watching.

“My soul is marked by our old enemy,” Estinien eventually said. “I am learning to live with that, and the good it can do for both man and dragon. Nidhogg was meant to be a protector of this world.”

“And you have taken up that mantle?”

Estinien shrugged. “More or less. Certain persistent orders of champions and scholars wouldn’t leave me be either way.”

“It’s what you get,” Alberic said dryly. “For being so personable.”

Final preparations are made before facing down Avengret; Aeryn talks to X'rhun, while Estinien makes an offer to Alberic.
