It's unreal. The light is streaming in through the windows, the curtains still drawn to block out the midday heat, tinging their living room in golden hues that match so well with the light grey fabric of their new sofa.

Eddie should probably snap out of it and head over to the windows, open the curtains and let the light in, and with it the warmth and fresh air of a surprisingly wonderful day.

It's March, he hears the echoes of Steve's giddy voice a week or two ago. Everything's better in March.

Eddie didn't agree then, and he's not sure he agrees now, but he must admit there is something magical about this moment.

Still he remains rooted to the spot, leather jacket heavy on his shoulders, his hands hidden in the sleeves of it, just in case this really is a dream. Just in case someone will come in and snap him out of it, take away their couch and leave an eviction notice.

It's dumb. But Eddie doesn't deal well with things that are unreal. Things that he knows aren't meant for him. Things that he knows he only gets in this one play-through of his life, while millions of other Eddie Munsons are out there in parallel universes who never get to even lay eyes upon a couch this nice. Let alone buy it. From their own real adult money.

It's a corner sofa, the fabric light grey, and he remembers it being harder than it looks. Solid. Just perfect for both their fucked up backs, scar tissue pulling if they sit wrong for too long, phantom pain and muscle aches coming in hot when all they want is to just relax and enjoy a lazy evening.

Eddie bites his lip, trailing his eyes along the pristine fabric, the pillows lining the back of it, the flawless stitches keeping everything in shape.

They have a couch now. A sofa.

It's so fucking unreal.

He drops to the floor right then and there, sitting with his back against the wall, and never once taking his eyes off their sofa. It feels important to look at it for a while. It feels important to wait for Steve. It feels... It feels like maybe he'll ruin everything if he goes and sits on it now.

And it feels really fucking big.

At some point he hears the front door opening, their lock going so smoothly now that Steve fixed it with some graphite, and the sound makes Eddie smile. That's another thing that's unreal. The key barely making any noise, the lock not rattling, the door not creaking and cracking. Eddie pulls a strand of hair between his lips, the smile feeling too silly for this room, for this home, for everything he gets to have now.

For all the tiny things that matter now. All the tiny things he gets to have, turning the key's smooth slide into an allegory of everything he ever wanted but never dared to hope for.

The slide of curtains, the click-click-click of the window handle being turned to let the air in. The breeze of fresh spring air dancing around his nose.

It's all a little much. It's so fucking addicting.

And then Steve. Socked feet coming to a stop beside him, a hand landing in his hair, a voice that's so endlessly warm and fond and maybe a little worried sounding from above him, "Hi, angel."

"Hi," Eddie says, tearing his eyes away from their couch to meet Steve's. The sunlight from the windows hugs him, making him glow. Eddie smiles. He smiles and smiles and never wants to stop.

Steve hums as he leans down to press a kiss to his forehead, and Eddie weaves his arm through Steve's legs, holding onto his knee.

Everything feels a little less silly now. Like every time Steve doesn't question his little moments of sitting on the floor and just staring at things.

"We have a couch now," Eddie says, because it feels important to point out. Because Steve isn't looking at it.

"We do," he hums. "I got the call earlier. Thanks for helping with that, baby."

Eddie nods again, leaning his cheek against Steve's knee and trailing the couch again with his eyes. It looks brighter now that the curtains don't turn the room into something out of a sepia-type movie anymore.

Steve's hands comb through his hair, massaging his scalp a little with his nails. It's nice. It's warm. It's pretty.

And it's so unreal.

"I'm twenty-four," Eddie says then, and some part of him wants to carve that into the fabric. He won't. But maybe he should carve it somewhere else. "And I own a couch. It's a little crazy."

Steve comes to sit down beside him, their shoulders pressed together and he links their hands, resting them in his lap after a brushes a kiss to Eddie's knuckles.

"Why's it crazy, angel?"

He shrugs, resting his head on Steve's shoulders and curling into his warmth some more.

"Most of my life I never thought either of those would happen, y'know."

Another hum, followed by another kiss to the crown of his head. Another smile.

"But you did it," Steve whispers. "You made it. And we've got a couch now."

"We've got a couch now."

Saying it out loud doesn't make it feel any realer. It only makes his heart race and his eyes prick.

"I love you," he says, finally looking away from pretty grey fabric to meet prettier hazel eyes. "I love you so much."

Steve leans in, kissing the tip of his nose. "I love you. Thank you for buying a couch with me."

And it occurs to Eddie then that Steve understands him. Sitting there on the floor with him, hearing his words and listening to those unsaid, understanding Eddie on such a fundamental level that it should be scary. And it is, sometimes.

But he's not scared now. Because they have a couch. And they have pretty curtains that keep the light outside and still turn the room into something magical. And they have a lock that only needed a bit of graphite to let the keys glide smoothly.

And they have each other.

They stay on the floor until Steve's stomach growls, and they eat dinner with their backs against the couch and Eddie's feet in Steve's lap. They hold each other close after dinner, just breathing each other in as the breeze blows around them.

In the end, Eddie is the first to sit on the couch, with Steve standing between his legs and giving him a scalp massage in silence. In the end, Eddie buries his face in Steve's stomach to hide the tears, and Steve lets him.

Because this is real. And he gets to have this. They both do.

Mini headcanon: imagine you two having a wedding ceremony or something and greater lord rukkhadevata decided to come over to give reader and Kasala some desert resistant flowers as a congratulating gift

Then later in private reader used the flowers to braid with Kasala's hair (you can't convince me his hair isn't silky smooth)

And then in present day Cyno wants to repay the reader for it(if the reader has long hair). He ended up doing pretty badly and made a disaster of reader's hair but it's the thought that counts right?

So recently I have been seeing people speculating that Alhaitham is a reincarnated scarlet king and saw how you said you wanted more simps of him so I started blasting

"If so," a cough from you finally pulled his focused gaze away from the glimpse of Aaru Village in the distance to look. The somberness of your expression took him aback, paired together with the fatigue from your sickness. It hurts to look at. "Am I also fated to leave you every time?"

I hate you, I hate you *adding on to to-do list* but but the flower thing looks so cute! I'm sorry I got distracted by the angst ahahah - I like to think that it's the new version of Padisarahs that Rukkhadevata made as a gift! Like the first of its kind! However, I only really started saving my favorite fics post-Kurogiri obsession, so these will mostly be about him! As for Shigaraki-centric stuff, I actually don’t have much, so sorry about that.

I’m going to try to keep this a reasonable length. I’ve already had to take out so many of my favorite fics from the list, just because otherwise it would be horribly long.

Amalgamations of Ghosts by pretentiousashell: also an incredible erasercloud fic, ft both dadzawa and dadkumo, along with middle-school shindeku. (Complete - 23k.)

Single chapter, Kurogiri-centric:

hide your face, bury your grief by achievingelysium: oh man I have never been more obsessed with a person’s writing style. Aizawa-centric (but mainly about Kurogiri) erasercloud soulmate/hanahaki au. (Honestly, major rec for every fic ever by this person, especially their kurogiri/oboro-related ones.) (3k.)

we've all got nowhere to go by PitViperofDoom: a kurogiri-centric fic written pre-Kurogiri reveal. Years after AFO kicks the bucket, Shigaraki finds Kurogiri and forces him to reconcile his morals. (8k.)

stay with me (and be a ghost tonight) by YetAnotherGhost: Villain!Mic not only meets Kurogiri, but also learns how he was created. Emotions ensue. (2k.)

Single chapter, Shirakumo-centric:

Honestly, I’m just going to rec you these authors to check out: immaplatypus, dontartichoke, kumogiri, Maebee. All of them write only bangers.

Jangle by Tippytap: idk what it is about this fic that makes me scream with joy, but this is one of my favorite rooftop gang friendship fics. (1k.)

General BNHA:

don’t you just want to go apeshit? By kkachis, MargaritaDaemonelix: crack fic where Todoroki decides he does, in fact, want to go apeshit. (15k.)

Civilian Besties, Professional Enemies by katydid: AFO and All Might become online friends. It goes about as well as you’d expect. (7k.)

Passaggio by kashinoha: the most perfect mic character study ever. I don’t even know where to start with this one besides just: AAAAAAAAAAA. (5k.)

gaze into the cracked mirror by h1lo: this one’s a collection of fics spanning basically the entire cast of characters in bnha. It’s a goldmine full of incredible takes on usually under-developed characters, all in small, easy-to-digest pieces. (The Koda one is my favorite).

Though in my opinion, the best way to get fic recs is to check out ppl’s ao3 bookmarks and then filter those based on what you want to see (here’s mine!). There’s also moderated collections like Behold the Sacred Texts that are full-on goldmines.

Extraordinary Atorney Woo (korean) - a show that shows a mental health disorder as it is, with its struggles, and the struggles worsened in a prejudiced society that doesnt provide enough support and makes it difficult to adapt and anyone thinks I won't watch it ? tbh i watched the show only after 4 episodes and people said that character's whole personality is not being the spectrum and at the same time enough research is done to portray it correctly

Big Mouth (korean) - lee jong suk drama + social message + the message being fuck the rich and powerful? you had me at lee jong suk, but the plot is soooo good.

Adamas (korean) - another jisung drama where he is a feral unhinged man with the softest heart battling childhood trauma BUT WAIT this time we have not one but TWO jisungs - because he plays twins.

Yumi's Cells 2 (korean) - this show helps me relax AND nerd out. idk if the writer has psychology background but reason and emotion cells being friends, anxiety cell randomly popping out, reason cell being first to wake up, multiple cells with opposite values speaking AT the same time on the same topic. LOVE THIS for me.

Cafe Minamdang (korean) - Seo In Guk is playing a fake shaman and conning the rich. The show and the gang's hijinks reminds me of lawless lawyer (korean) and psych (english) for the fake shaman part.

Vice Versa (thai) started it for jimmy and continuing it for the plot, cinematography. I LOVE how the episode titles are colours because our main character is a colorist.

My Secret Live (thai) - engineer dude + comm arts dude + fake dating because of college shenanigans - it is my switch brain off show. Please don't judge.

The Eclipse (thai) Listen I was already curious about the plot because even the trailer had the fuck the power vibes but finding its directed by someone who did indeed fuck the powerful and continues to do so with their work - long live director golf. I hope they execute it well- and i think they will because it someone such close experience with battling and questioning powerful system that is making the show- but even if it isnt well executed- i will continue to watch the show and support the director.

What We Do In The Shadows (english) - just ancient vampires and their vampire hijinks of living in a modern world. its tumblr shitposts come to life and i am so grateful.

Only murderers in this building- the plot has me curious (plus i got to know cara is there in it)

And probably give Gentleman Jack a try again-the ex was the reason I dropped so I guess I'll just skip the scenes with the ex.

So Jace's room is the same as it always is, so clean not a mess, everything is neat, but he isn't Jace. I am way too focus on this but I really really wanted to list out every Star Trek ship (from TNG, DS9, and VOY cause those are the ones I have seen most of) I could think of and give my opinion on it. Why? Because I don’t wanna do my math test. Lets go down the spiral of hyperfixation and little impulse control. (FYI, this became a long ass post, so read through if you want or don’t lol)

Let’s start from the beginning. 

The Next Generation: (aka gays that all share one smart brain cell) 

Picard x Crusher: Honestly, I like their chemistry, and if it became canon I would be alright with that. No real strong feelings on this ship.

Picard x Q: The epitome of enemies to lovers slow burn in 300k words. The sexual tension is too much to handle, I absolutely adore these two. They probably fucked once and Picard regrets it immeasurably. 

Picard x Riker: Nah, not for me. But you do you dudes.

Riker x Troi: Again, I quite like these two together. Two Bi Icons getting together, I’m here for it. 

Riker x Worf: Eh, Worf isn’t really a fav of mine so that makes me bias against this ship. It cool tho.

Riker x Crusher: *war flashbacks to when Crusher had sex with a Trill worm that was inside currently inside Riker’s body* Haha, fuck no. 

Troi x Crusher: Two queens getting together and tearing down the patriarchy, I stan.

Troi x Tasha: I tend to block out season one of TNG from my mind, but honestly, I like the vibe.

Data x Geordi: My OTP for this show. It should have happened. Rick Berman is a coward. They are just so sweet and they understand each other like no one else. A few of their scenes in this show made me cry. I ship

Data x Tasha: Nah, I don’t vibe. Would have been better as mlm and wlw solidarity. 

Worf x Troi: They had a few cute scenes together in the later seasons, I don’t hate neither super enjoy.

Deep Space Nine: (aka no straights in space)

Sisko x Kasidy: I liked them better in the early seasons. I think the writers low-key forgot about Kasidy until she was convenient plot device. 

Kira x Odo: I preferred it in the first few seasons where Odo had a little crush on Kira and it was kinda adorable. But after their relationship had become canon in the later seasons I was kinda disappointed.

Kira x Jadzia: I am here for this ship, two powerful women ready to take on the world together but also have their own insecurities that come up as the situation arises. Immaculate, I want it.

Dukat x Kira: Fuck no, they are enemies. Idk why the DS9 writers thought it would be a great idea to pair THESE two together. But thank god for Nana Visitor for being such a queen. 

Odo x Quark: Again, another amazing enemies to lovers ship. I love seeing those two on screen together, their chemistry is just *chef’s kiss*.

Miles x Keiko: Miles is like, the token heterosexual on this show. He loves his wife, his kids, and his job.

Bashir x Garak: Fuck yeah, OTP of this show for me gang. It was so heavily implied and it would have been so cool to see, especially in the 90s. But oh well, at least we got the actors writing and performing fanfiction for us.

Bashir x Jadzia: Yeah no, I wouldn’t ship them romantically. And the writers definetly did not favors to Bashir when they make his crush on her a bit creepy in the early seasons. But would be a BROTP for me.

Bashir x Ezri: Hnng, I don’t like. It just feels like Bashir is trying to date the Jadzia he never had and I don’t like it.

Jadzia x Worf: It’s fine, I guess. I don’t really see the chemistry.

Ezri x Jake: I mean, it’s better than Ezri x Bashir, but like, Dax has known Jake over 3 lifetimes and watched him grow up soooo, nah.

Jake x Ziyal: I am a fan. I think these two would have been really cool together especially since they are both artistic people with Jake’s writing and Ziyal’s painting. They could have done some really cool stuff together. Plus, it would make some interesting family reunion moments between Dukat and Sisko hehe.

Jake x Nog: Again, I am a fan. Tol and smol dynamics are what I am here for.

Garak x Ziyal: No

Voyager: (aka gays lost in space)

Janeway x Chakotay: The of the few straight ships I would die for. I am quite disappointed that nothing ever formed between the two because it would have been really cute and oh my god the tension the writers made between the two. I feel baited for this ship, AND IT’S A STRAIGHT SHIP! I’m sorry I have feelings about this. 

Janeway x Seven: Not a top ship of mine but I definitely see the chemistry here and I support it. 

Janeway x Paris: I only bring this up because in like season 1 or 2 they have axolotl children together because the writers were probably high as a kite when they came up with this idea for an episode. But a hard pass. 

Janeway x Coffee: I’m pretty sure this is already canon and I stan. 

Chakotay x Seven: I haven’t completely finished Voyager yet but I heard that this is the endgame for the two and WTF. I don’t see or understand it and it makes me upset, like really upset.

Chakotay x B’elanna: I’m just glad this wasn’t canon. I more just bring it up because I remembered B’elanna had a crush on Chakotay in the early seasons before Tom. And like, I get it because if Chakotay was my commanding officer I’d probably crush too girl. 

B’elanna x Paris: It’s a canon ship that I honestly kinda like. There are some moments where I’m like “oh no” and other where I’m like “YES”. But overall, I enjoy it. I just feel like there is something missing.

Paris x Kim: Fuck yea, I love these two together. Two bros turned lovers I am fucking here for it my dudes. But again, I feel like there is something else missing here.

B’elanna x Paris x Kim: Oh hell yea, I found what was missing. This is my personal OTP of Voyager. In my head I think Kim and B’elanna are just really close friends who do engineering things together. While Paris is in the corner, loving them both, but also setting the Delta Flyer on fire for the third time this week. I haven’t really looked into the Voyager tag (because spoilers) so idk if this is a popular ship. But I think they all have some really fun chemistry and I enjoy it. 

Paris x Delta Flyer: This just came to my head 20 seconds ago as I wrote the last one but I’m pretty sure this one is already canon. 

Kim x Seven: Nah

Seven x The Doctor: Hmm, do I dislike it as much as I do Seven x Chakotay? No, I do not. But do I like it that much? No, no I do not. I ship them as friends.

Tuvok x Nelix: No, not really. Opposites attract is not really my cup of tea all the time.

Nelix x Kes: Oh damn, I almost forgot about Kes. I know this is canon but where did this come from. The writers NEVER EXPLAIN IT! And then they never explain why the later broke up. I just... I just don’t understand.

It's not rare It needs space for himself, but even when he'll later on join the dumbass trio, It does have a soft place where it goes to, especially when stressed.

Any places with water nearby Is perfect for him. Which Is a reference from when he got cursed, and It Is kind of ironic. But since it got cursed, It found the sound of water..oddly soothing.

Not that he enjoyed it that much, but more because It was so tempting, that made him forget about all doubts and much about the outside world.

When with the gang, it will spend less time there, which Is understandable, since they will travel in many places.

If there isn't that place, it would panic, and decide to kick themselves out of everyone else. Hoping It can resolve this by itself. Most of the time, he forcefully does so, but there are times when only crying could help.

1- His design obviously. I just, really love It, and might be my fave overall, even if I really like Rui's and Myst's quite a lot too. His hair Is something that just makes me go brrrrr.

2- His development, even more than personality. I know I didn't use this as much, but I love how he goes from a shady, "villain", trying to murder Lyva and Rui out of jelousy and rage, to a far more understanding, and trying for the redemption he never knew he needed, until he met Qiran. Which Is why Id like to Say that, of he didn't meet him, he would've become more and more villanous with time. He's not a villain, nor an hero, even now. He doesn't know that too. And that's something i really, rEALLY like in his character.

3- His past, and how he can't let go out of It, even if that severly hurt him. But he couldn't understand that, even until now he doesn't. He still portrays his mother as someone who didn't deserve such pain, completely ignoring and not understanding how that still hurt him.

4- His wording abilities. Most times he's so sneaky, and even oddly teasing, in subdule ways, as if that could help him, in any way. No matter if it's morally wrong or right, if that's what he belives in, that's his decision. Will he regret It? Perhaps. But that's a risk he knowingly always takes. Even if that would mean doing the same for Qiran.

Fight or flight, that’s all Nacho can think about lately, especially when it comes to Lalo. He’s tried the latter, but now that he gets cornered, Nacho decides it’s time for the former.

All of Straponselina’s Lacho fics are awesome, but this one’s my favorite. Lacho and substance abuse get on like a house on fire, and this fic takes complete advantage of that. It’s an intense ride fueled by anxiety, drugs and craving. The buildup is absolutely perfect, and it all explodes in some of the hottest goddamn smut I’ve ever read. I remember being unable to even properly comment on this one cause it blew my mind so hard.

When a deal with a rival drug gang goes south and adrenaline and fear mix with something else, Nacho finds himself in the ironic position of being the only thing standing between Lalo Salamanca and certain death.

moonrocks has given us many amazing Lacho fics and I love every single one of them, but I got a particularly soft spot for this one. It’s got everything you could ask for: Power dynamic shifts, vulnerable Lalo, Nacho being confused about his feelings, intimacy merging with violence into one inextricable mess, and of course moonrock’s v own specialty, which is incredibly vibrant and atmospheric environmental descriptions! This one’s almost gen and more along the lines of a character study (my personal favorite type of fic ❤️).

In a flurry of intense sensory impressions and drug induced highs, Lalo’s mere existence confronts Nacho with his worst coping mechanisms. Everything Pandir’s ever written is amazing, and this fic’s no exception. They have a knack for unsettling imagery and themes, and their stories have the ability to make you feel like you yourself are joining the characters in their downward spiral into their own messy minds. Psychedelic, stream of consciousness, unexpected, just all around really, really good!

Quod licet Iovi, non licet bovi, that’s what Nacho learned the hard way while working for the Salamancas. But everyone bruises when headbutted in the jaw, even Lalo, and that’s a strangely comforting thought.

An excellent exploration of cartel hierarchy, a fantastic character study, and Lacho interactions so full of tension and uncertainty it murders me just to think about the sheer suspense of it all. As I said before, I’m a big fan of the concept of intimacy being mingled with violence, and the other way around, and keuppia turns this into an art form. You just want the fic to go on forever, but the fact that it doesn’t, that it ends exactly where it’s supposed to, is what made this one leave such an impact on me. I could write an entire essay about why I love this fic but I’m just gonna leave it at that.

Short and sweet, quick to the point, just all around great smut. It’s got Nacho completely at the mercy of not one but two people, also some very subtle and nice intimacy between Nacho and Lalo that’s to die for! What more could you want?

Nacho’s entire world is turned upside down when he ends up in the claws of the beast that is Lalo Salamanca. It feels like he has to navigate an entirely new, dangerous world with very strict rules to survive. But Nacho is anything if not a quick learner, and it’s only a question of time until he finds out that he has some claws of his own.

Of course no Lacho rec list would be complete without Sera’s Only You. The first part will always be my personal favorite, but the entire series is very dear to my heart. It helped us all through the rough times of the great Lacho withdrawal between episodes 3 and 9 and gave us some much needed escapism after the finale. Also Sera’s an actual angel so there’s that. It’s gonna be sad to watch this fic come to an end, but it was a wild ride, and I enjoyed every second of it!

Fic You Were Nervous to Post: uhhh definitely too far just because it’s...rather personal. i sometimes say that there’ll be a scene or two or just straight up a line or two that’s plucked out of my real life, and i think it’s inevitable for writers of any kind, including fic writers, to isolate their real lives completely from whatever they’re writing, and?? this fic is probably the most personal for me because of that. i remember kinda hem-hawwing about posting it, because i was like whoa, maybe this is a little too personal? but then i steeled myself and was like, “okay, well, would this have lifted my spirits when i needed a story like this??” and then decided to post it.

How you choose your titles: i def. toss and turn between titles! there’s a few fics of mine that are straight-up song lyrics (no surprise there), but to my surprise (as i was looking through my catalogue of fics just now), i realize that a lot of my fics are usually just words or two about what i think might have been extremely important to the story. (or captures the overall tone/theme of the story, anyways.)

Do you outline? for multi-chapter fics and relatively long one-shots with lots of moving parts, i’ll outline. but for shorter one-shots and prompts, i’ll usually just stick with the image that compelled me to write the prompt/one-shot in the first place! (and then kinda write around that.)

Complete: uhhhhh, i’m gonna answer relatively for all my clone wars fics, because in total, i have 74 completed fics. (make that...75, hopefully in a few minutes or hours!) but out of clone wars fics, i have 46 completed fics! (and again, hopefully 47 in a little while.) a part of me is lowkey hoping that i’ll get up to 100 total fics by the end of this year. a part of me highly doubts it, but given how much i was able to write over summer break, i’m...intruiged if i wind up somehow writing another twenty or so fics by the end of this year. (asfsf my wip list is long enough to fill in for another twenty fics. caroline finish all your wips challenge.)

In Progress: okay, so officially, time, wondrous time is in progress and online. but in terms of the works in progress on my laptop...i have...*mutters, counting* fourteen official wips. (ten of them are one-shots, and the other four are longform fics. one of them, i’m hoping to release next week (!!!), and another, i’m hoping to release hopefully around mid-december. uhhh so fingers crossed??)

Coming Soon/Not Yet Started: oops, i guess i kinda already answered that question, but eh, might as well! the one coming out next week (hopefully!! caroline get your shit together challenge!!) is titled most ardently, and it’s an obitine au based off pride & prejudice because i cannot and will not shut up about obitine being the period drama ship out of star wars okay--

and then the other longform fic that is very overdue is called getting lost in a big galaxy, which is a fix-it of sorts taking place after season 5. anakin’s gone missing, and obi-wan winds up going on a galaxy-ride road trip with ahsoka (who, remember, has left the order) to find their idiot. this is honestly my excuse to just write more obi-wan and ahsoka content. hopefully, that’ll be posted in december!! (despite the fact i...originally meant to post it in august oOps.)

and then there’s this other longform fic which...might be coming in early 2021 called red, underlined, which is essentially...uh. everyone’s a stressed out law-school student, and anakin might have accidentally murdered professor palpatine, and now anakin, obi-wan, ahsoka, padme, and rex are all trying to find out what the hell to do with themselves because they’re all in on it. (def. influenced by how to get away with murder except without the criminal justice professor to lead them through the ropes. so more chaos. kind of a dark comedy vibe, if anything else? anakin no is major theme in this one. uh, i mean, maybe anakin was justified in murdering creep palpatine because our gang’s gonna find out what was going on in the background, but either way! lots of “holy shit are we good people are we bad people what are we doing”. lots of questions about morality! ethics! law school student study nights with anakin sprawled out on the floor and obi-wan wearing glasses (which he pushes up the bridge of his nose whenever he’s about to lecture anakin that no, that’s not how that statute works, dumbass) and ahsoka just bringing snacks and rex catching paper airplanes and padme being the one to supply everyone with very neat flashcards. this fic is gonna be an absolute beheamoth, and i’m estimating about 45 chapters? like...130K+ words? help? yeah idk either this really blew up in my head

and then...this stupid, wonderful, boring, amazing job, which is...office x tcw au. only not? it’s very, very loosely based off the office, but not really. obi-wan moves in as a new manager of a company, and we’ve got anakin being like “lol new guy i’m gonna mess with him”, and ahsoka being the one who’s both like “please don’t mess with our new boss” but also being like “actually, wait, lemme help”, rex being in hr and being like “i don’t get paid enough for this”. (also there’s some parts that are written like actual interviews like you would find in the office, so there’s this one bit where uhhh

Obi-Wan flicks his eyes to the cameras in silent question before turning back to Ahsoka. “Well, if you need to call maintenance, then I hardly think you need my permission—”

“Thanks!” Ahsoka says quickly, and she’s about to disappear from the doorway when Obi-Wan stands up.

“Wait, Ahsoka, what exactly—”

Ahsoka re-appears at the doorway. “Oh, right,” she says. “Um—maybe just stay away from the men’s bathroom for a little bit.” She pauses.

“Actually, just stay away from them for the rest of the day.” She hovers by the door for a minute longer, and then she adds quickly, “And maybe also avoid the breakroom. Everything’s fine!”

And with a perfectly not-fine smile, Ahsoka disappears from the doorway.

Obi-Wan stares at where Ahsoka was just a moment ago, and the he turns to the cameras in disbelief. “Did she just—” Unable to finish his own sentence, Obi-Wan starts out the door. “Ahsoka?”

The camera follows Obi-Wan out of the conference room and into the breakroom. There are only muffled shouts—Anakin’s shouts, and then Rex’s, and then Ahsoka’s frantic “no, sorry, everything’s fine!”, and then Obi-Wan’s loud, “What is going on in here?”

     Fuck. I rubbed my hand through my once brown locks, staring at the disaster that was my hair in the mirror. All’s I fucking wanted was some tough red highlights. But no. Bright pink is what I got instead. Just my luck. I don’t know why I didn’t just go to the barber and get it done. But instead I did it to myself. Yeah you gonna look real tough with bright fucking pink hair. I sighed. I mean, there’s nothing I can do to change it now. Imma just have to live with it I guess man. But I sure as hell ain’t gonna be happy about it.

     I opened the door to the Curtis house. It took a few seconds, but then the room got quiet. They all were staring at me, at my pink ass hair. Soda snickered. I gave him that look and he got quiet. Then Y/N let out a laugh, one of those laughs that filled the entire room with the joyous sound. She stopped for a minute and looked at me again, once again breaking out into laughter. She was in hysterics now, and Johnny joined in on it too. I rolled my eyes, sitting down. If I wasn’t in a bad mood before, I definitely was now. When the two people you actually give a shit about start making fun of you, it doesn’t really boost your self esteem too much. The room went back to the way it was before, chatter and foolish arguing was once again present. I felt two arms hug me from behind. 

     “I’m sorry baby” I shrugged off her hug, lighting a cigarette. “I mean, I think it makes you look cute.” “Yes because cute, isn’t gonna get your ass beat.” 

    “Oh c’mon Dallas, like you wouldn’t be able to fight them off.” I looked at her. “I mean just look at these muscles” she added, stroking my arm with a dramatic wink. I had to smirk at that. For as cheesy as it sounds man, she always knew how to cheer me up.

     “If it bothers you so much, I can dye it back for you Dal” Darry said. How the fuck does Darry know how to dye hair?

     “But c’mon Dal, you look like Frenchie from Grease.” Soda joked. The gang laughed at that one. They’ll never let me forget about this, will they?
