You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to; I just thought of this as a cute idea. So, you know know each character has a set of, “About *insert character*” voice lines? What if Scara had a “About puppet reader” voiceline and vice versa? What would they be?

Finally got to answering this!

This is such a cute idea and I may have gone overboard on this! However, I didn't do one for Reader's voicelines, that's something unique to everyone and I want the reader themselves to have their own voice so as compensation - enjoy!

Don't imagine Scaramouche wandering around Sumeru and hearing the game, him immediately buying as many cards he could so he could get a deck for his lover too - don't imagine Scaramouche diligently teaching all he knew about the game's mechanics only for them to be better than him "I can't believe you picked it up so easily..."

Don't imagine him still grumpy about losing but VERY proud when his lover obliterates everyone else. Them walking around Sumeru and some random person challenges his lover to a duel, him smirking while pulling out the deck box of his lover because of course he carries them around for when they want to play out of the blue

Him being a toxic audience, the one who trash talks the opponent despite not the one playing, poking his tongue out to rile up the enemy over his lover's shoulder - and once they win, he'd be all smiley and sweet and congratulatory "I knew you could do it, you're getting really good at this" - before sending a middle finger to the challenger who lost because they were in the middle of a date

Okay. Hear me out. Scara comfort time.

Ever since puppet reader got their kintsugi, they have been terrified of thunder and lightning. Hearing thunder would make them freeze for a moment; even seeing the the flash of lightning from the closed blinds of the window would make them shiver.

Now imagine Scara out on a dark cloudy day, doing his own daily business, when he sees a big flash of lightning in the distance followed by a loud boom of thunder and rain starting to fall. Scara knows what is happening and starts making his way home as fast as he could, errands forgotten. By the time he gets home, the storm is in full swing. Once inside, he finds puppet reader curled into a ball in the corner of the room, hands on their ears, and shaking. And Scara just goes to sit besides them, wrapping them in his arms, and just cuddles them whispering sweet nothings till they fall asleep or till the storm is over.

My immediate reaction after seeing someone finally mention about the potential of astraphobia in Kintsugi: finally some good trauma

This, this, everything and in between! If it's a particularly bad thunderstorm, Wanderer covers their ears over the veil himself so that reader can focus on clutching on to him, bury their face to his chest to not see the lightning.

On that angle sometimes, he can see the center of the Lichtenberg figures on the nape of their neck and he had to close his eyes too before the anger festers and burns his mind. No matter how beautiful, no matter how many times he reassures that they're safe, he knew there are things that he can't protect them from.

His strength and will alone can never destroy wounds that will never heal.

pretty random idea but... does cyno gets like a sense of warning whenever reader gets in a near death situation? since their life is the foundation of his contract would he get a feeling of his contract slowly becoming "invalid"?

if so, then he would have felt it when he was sprinting across sumeru during the incident, he could feel that the contact was slowly "deteriorating" by the minute, that his beloved was slowly dying. that would make it much angstier

or when one of the times reader decided to be reckless during their stay in the avidya forest actually fucked up them badly and almost died as well?

From that incident alone, Cyno already deduced that strange feeling and what it points to. Exclusively for near death situations, specifically your near death experiences.

But just because he knew what it entails to doesn't mean he's gotten used to the feeling. It manifests first as a growing dread in his gut, and then it punches him from the inside as he stumbles when he stood, catching himself with the edge of the table as the other Matra looked up at him in concern.

It's something akin to a numb heart burn, struggling to gulp as it grips around his throat in a tight chokehold, daring him to speak through the pain. The general coughs through the closing airway, willing himself to exhale (shakily) as he raises a hand to stop the Matra sharing his table from standing to presumably help his sorry state.

"Where?" He growls under his breath as he gripped his head. 'Ardravi Valley,' a deep voice echoes in his mind alone before he's rushing out in a violet flash.

When Tighnari told him that you shouldn't be alive at this point and that some kind of celestial being is keeping you from death, he didn't think much of it until now. "Ow, ow, ow!" Except now he's thinking that divine intervention was simply him all this time.

"You're very lucky you only pulled a muscle from all that." Looking up from the shore, his eyes glared with an unreadable expression as he eyed the ruin giant above.

"First time I was cleared to explore beyond Avidya Forest and this is what happens." You exhale a laugh that lacks humor. And as much as he would like to brush off the incident, the way you tremble under his hands gives it away.

With your back turned to him as he tried his best to massage the back muscle, you luckily can't see the disappointed scowl plastered on his face. But it wasn't out of simple annoyance, no, it was a mix of many worries that rivaled the uneasy void in his heart.

And the many, many things he wanted to say in that moment. Even the spirit within him stayed deathly silent.

Your whole body locked up in tension at the sudden, foreign contact on your back. You opt not to turn your head in great hesitation and another unnamed feeling, digging your nails into the grass below.

Only when Cyno leaned away from that moment of weakness did you finally have the courage to talk. "Please don't tell Tighnari."

The General sighs. No matter how wrong, how bad of a decision it was, he could never say no to your happiness.

"Alright, I won't." And against his better judgment, against the overwhelming guilt still weighing on his shoulders, he plants another kiss on your back.

Sorry I got carried away with this, lovebot anon xd but yes, it is definitely a thing and the spirit had a dreadful realization that their connection to him may be the reason why reader (and Cyno) are such death flag magnets

idk i just got the idea of cyno or tighnari seeing you asleep at your desk bec of all the creations you’re planning to do for them. then them carrying you to bed for you to properly rest in warm sheets. i like to imagine that the reader is an inventor. the things that the reader is best at is creating machines similar to the ones from that old robot event in-game. then them seeing you laying your head on blueprints, notes, and plans that could potentially help your lovers at their jobs. even though it’s not your forte. you try your best as it’s kinda the reader’s way of affection, ig???? like the reader knows that their creative creations can’t help the boys much with their jobs but wants to be somewhat of help to them.

idk it’s just an idea of mine and i thought that i can share it to you! if you don’t like it then feel free to just ignore ehehehe

Sounds like something right up worriedvision's alley haha but this is absolutely adorable! So gift-giving love language reader, and they love it because it's a functional gift (esp Tighnari) so even if it takes you away from them, they are still always so supportive of your craftsmanship

I like to think that when the invention is done, they absolutely adore flaunting it. They always have it (if it's possible) and always on display in their offices, so that if someone were to look at it, they can talk about the 'wonderful creation' by none other than their 'ever-so-talented lover.' Actually they don't even need a cue, they just straight up brag about it when they remember. "The Matra's work had been effortless ever since this has been gifted to me by my lover." / "Magnificent work, isn't it? If I were you, I would have devoted my time to working at such creative and genius creations instead of tripping over vines all day."

If it's a surprise however, they won't say anything, even hide the blueprints so it looks like you hid it before resting. But they will make them a meal and their favorite drink for "no reason whatsoever, just eat it, you've been working so hard lately"

This unlocked my scenario/headcanon idea of him being strong enough to carry you in just one arm, like you can sit on his arm and he'll take you around no problem. But to be hugged by his huge and strong arms matching with his cape, it feels like a big warm hug!

And also trying to hug him fully by wrapping your arms around him ah even better if it's from behind, I feel like it would catch him off-guard more and he won't have to hide his expressions so much since your face is buried on his back.

He almost looked pained (perhaps that's true with how strong his heart beats against his chest) as red dusts his ears and across his cheeks, his hand resting atop yours near his heart. He hopes you don't feel the pounding in his chest.

"Had I not known bother, I would have thought this is an assassination attempt."

Kitsune Tighnari who keeps pretending to be a human when he saw a person he wants to be with, or whom saved him when he was still a normal one-tailed fox long ago that he kept looking after since. Kitsune Tighnari having to reveal his identity to save you, him looking so beautiful in his kitsune form, him being so clingy ever since you accepted the way he is

Suddenly I had a really crack idea about a reader who's dating Tighnari but also calls everyone "mate" like how one would call someone dude or bro. It doesn't even occur to them that mate is such an intimate word for hybirds like Tighnari, especially since his kind mate for life, so the first time he hears them call another person mate, his reaction is literally just 👁👄👁 "excuse me love what the fuck"

Omayfackinghad ahahahahah this is so good! I can imagine it as someone who calls people with nicks, the person would definitely have a hard time even reverting to not using the term

Or even Tighnari first using it so lovingly "there's no other mate that can compare to you"

"right back at you, mate!" Without even realizing the impact it has on him

It would be so funny tho if they're already together and somehow he didn't realize?? That they have that habit? Or maybe he was called that by them before they got together and that's how he fell in love hahahaha oh this is so stupid I love it

Another possible scenario is an easily convinced Tighnari "They're mates, Tighnari! But you're MY mate!" And down bad fennec fox boy gets shot straight in the kokoro and just goes "carry on then" but secretly glares at the people you call mate.

Unfortunately, that's everyone who faces his glare.

If it's someone he loves? He's not at all gonna be bothered so long as their clinginess doesn't necessarily impede him or interrupt what he's doing. Actually he'd even go to great lengths to make it look like it doesn't bother him at all (like using their hand to turn the page of his book because they won't undo the handholding)

He doesn't necessarily understand the need but he understands the urge, so he's very lenient. Besides, he's built for anything and nothing would stop him, so if you want to cling to his toned arm that's fine he's strong. You want to hug him? Well make yourself at home, just don't move too much

It's rare for him to initiate so he really appreciates it when you approach him yourself and be clear of what you want. Know that he would always accommodate you to the best of his abilities. Just expect a book on your back while you lay on his chest to cuddle, or a hand wrapped around your waist while the other's busy writing down something.

He's not greedy but those moments are something he needs too.

Okay. I had this idea. I going to be a bit long so please stay with me.

So, a dude in Sumeru sees puppet reader in the bizarre and is immediately enamored. He goes up to them to try to get the ball rolling, only to be immediately shut down and told they are happily married to their husband. They leave the bizarre think that would be the end of it. But this dude is a scumbag. He starts spreading rumors that Scara has been seeing someone else (The traveler probably) and it starts to gain traction.

When Scara comes back from wandering and hears the rumors that have been going around, he is livid. He is able to find the scumbag and confront him. The scumbag starts to argue that he is so much better for puppet reader and it turns into a full blown argument.

After arguing for a while, they both see something from the corner of their eyes. It’s puppet reader. Stone faced. Marching right towards them. Looking at their body language, Scara starts to worry that they actually believe in the rumor. The fact the they just march past him towards the scumbag, not even batting an eye at him, makes the pit in his stomach worse. The scumbag starts to smirk at is victory, only to be quickly erased by a swift kick to his pants. Once he crumbles to his knees, they grab him by the ear and pulls him in so they are face to face.

“How dare you spread falsehoods about my husband. And how DARE you think I would believe such a thing! It seems that simply telling you no was not enough for you to understand. Our bond is something your mortal mind could never hope to comprehend. And most certainly something you will never hope to achieve in your puny lifespan! I will not have such vile words be spread by you or by anyone else! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!?!”

He quickly scurries off after promising he will clear things up with every single person he has ever told the rumor to. One he leaves, they turn to a very shocked and touched Scara with the same smile they always greet him with, apologizing for what transpired and asked him how his recent journey was. And they returned home with their arms linked.

Long story short, this scenario would probably be the only time puppet reader would ever lose their cool. Sorry this was so long. I just had this idea and had to share it with you.

I was really hoping reader would just throw hands - it doesn't matter if it's a slap or a punch, actually make it a backhand, reader's that one post where they got married just so they can shout "that's my husband!" Wait I have it as my Discord profile

I want jaws on the floor Scara and scumbag reaction with a punch as strong as Anya punching Damian in Spy x Family type shit because wow that would make him so proud, and also the rumors would then turn around with how now people don't want to be with the puppet because of their scary punch

I could imagine the next day, they locked themselves up in their room and won't even leave the bed because of embarrassment because they just did that in front of so many people, oh the matra would take them now they have a warrant oh no

So I was just having some Thoughts™ about Wanderer (I swear I'll read through all the puppet reader lore when I'm free of finals fsjfhshfj but this is something different)

You know how his friend died from (what I assume was) that tatarigami sickness? What if reader catches a cold one day and starts coughing/getting feverish and Wanderer just freaks tf out bc???? You're sick????? Are you dying???????? Are you going to leave him just like his friend did after you promised you wouldn't???????? Bc sure rationally he knows it's probably just a cold but he still can't shake the thought that yet another person he cares about is going to die on him :')

Wait fuck omg goddamnit more angst

But you're right! He has every reason to worry/overreact! Like maybe at first, it's just a passing cough and it's so minimal that he can easily wave it off, but when their cough persists for days now (even if it's not a terrible cough) instead of ignoring it, he starts to side eye them a lot with a conflicted face maybe slightly flinching when he hears a painful or loud one

When the bad thoughts starts rolling in, he'll start to be more caring about it - when there's a coughing fit, he'll be right behind them and patting their back to help; sighing and going to the kitchen to fetch a glass of water; asking "you sure you aren't feeling anything else besides that cough?" or cooking soup or a brothy meal one time and accidently spilling out "heard a warm drink could help a human's sore throat"

I like to think he's not a very vocal person when it comes to his vulnerabilities :)) but he still makes effort, whether consciously or unconsciously done so

Hello, how have you been? I hope you're doing alright. I remember being one of your emoji-anon (either 🌌 or 🌠, not really sure) back in 2021. I remember sending you an ask/feedback not long after you release a story smut (the red Xiao x reader x green Xiao) lol. Idk if the current list was all new anons or you still keep the anons from 2 years ago, sorry if I might be wrong!

At the time, your blog was such a great comfort place for me. Your writing is enjoyable and comforting (the submission from other anons, too). I got the confidence to send you an ask because you seem sooo nice, fun, and you're actually active and don't feel bothered talking with the people from your ask.

I was initially not really active, but eventually stopped going on this app after becoming more busy. But still, thank you so much. You, your blog, and the other anon at the time mean something to me. I hope you have an enjoyable days and I pray that it will always be filled with positive things.

Hello!!! i was thinking about puppet reader. to be specific about scara and puppet reader being buried together(with scara) in the cor lapis after reader died AND i was thinking. how this happened? like one day they just stopped working or smth? how did scara found/reacted? how he was feeling? what he was thinking while they were buried. I need to know the answers. suddenly i started thinking and i can't rest.(didn't played 3.3)

It would be akin to symptoms of dementia, it's not a one and done thing that happened so suddenly but gradual memory loss here and there.

They'll start to forget things in their daily life, walking around the estate and then they would ask to themselves what were they doing again. Wanderer would notice these signs early on and would guide them as best he can, even taking time away from wandering to accompany them in the house for as frequently as possible

Then they would start forgetting about Wanderer AND themselves too, flinching when they pass a mirror and seeing their kintsugi, forgetting that was them. They'll even forget about his name too, asking shyly what is it because it was on the tip of their tongue but can't seem to get it out

The very power inside of them from the electro archon would also slowly seep out, starting from little sparks on their fingertips, and the worst instance was when they were tending to the sakura tree -

A lightning strike would hit it, setting it up on flames - if not for Wanderer being there, the whole forest would have burned down. Friends would turn to intruders, they'll forget how to make the crafts they've done -

The day it happened Wanderer ran out of the bed after realizing they weren't there when he woke up, only to see them standing in the middle of the field between the sakura trees, silently watching. But the moment they locked eyes, imagine Signora's death scene with the surge of electro! Puppet reader would then be on a rampage, crying about how "you abandoned me!" to Wanderer, and then he realized they thought he was Makoto.

Their friends were informed of the possibility and imminent erosion long ago, and if they see the pillar of Electro in the sky, it was their sign to go and help subdue puppet reader. As the others try and wear them down, Zhongli would look at Wanderer and ask "Is this your final decision?" "Yes, make sure not to miss." And he rushes in to trigger his burst, catch them in mid-air, and that's when Zhongli crystallizes them in Cor Lapiz forever.

Wanderer had long since resigned to their fate, however the ultimate decision came down when he realized their last thought was about being betrayed and abandoned. So he decided that he'll stay with them forever, to prove to his love that he will always be there for them. He is sad for many reasons but is happy that his end to his long life is with the one he loves.

As for puppet reader, the familiar warmth of their mother's hug and a sense of love from his lover sent them off to a peaceful slumber forever.
