ESCAPE FROM GONGMEN TOWER please watch it right now please please it's such an underrated scene musically and visually. this is the scene where tigress catches a flaming arrow and that's the exact moment i became a homosexual. vic history. it's also the scene where we see her chops as a leader of the five and the way she's fit into this role to balance out Po so well. and also all her potential as who she could've been, if she'd been chosen to be the dragon warrior herself. but she's not.

MUSICIAN'S VILLAGE I LOVE this scene the way it introduces, to the audience, that the score is going to play a part in the fight scenes of this movie is absolutely magnificent. and the way we get reintroduced to the furious five's + po's fighting style, and it reminds us immediately that they are formidable--and then sets up the inciting incident of the plot with so much mystery (and we see the 2d animation style again too, which has always represented po's inner subconscious. WHY DIDN'T THEY DO THAT FOR THE FOURTH MOVIE. whatever)

i would say the bridge fight (kfp1) and i adore that scene but i have to say, i really love the performances, the ambience, the color boards, the sound effects, and the emotional impact of shifu and tai lung's fight in the 3rd act more. i love when kfp actually invested time in its non-main protag characters. tai lung was an absolutely fascinating villain and this scene just rounds out his character so well

The entirety of the secrets of the scroll short film oh my god i love that one so much. teenage tigress. my baby girl.

FUCK okay and then the fireworks factory (2nd movie) where Po confronts Shen about his past. And he gets shot with a cannon and Tigress doesn't get to him in time. breaks my heart every time. i'm going to include the scene where Tigress and Po fight right before that in the jail too bc the musical score called "Fireworks Factory" starts with THEIR HUG. AND IT ENDS WITH HER RUNNING TO CATCH HIM. AND FAILING. MY BAKA LIFE !!!!! i don't even ship them anymore like i did when i was 14 i mostly just love tigress but their platonic relationship is v important to me. i have to include their hug bc that did irreparable damage to me as a tween. sorry the quality of the first vid is so ass. their relationship in the entire 2nd movie is so good i could write a whole analysis on it probably. it's paining me physically to not include their earlier boat scene talk.

this is also the scene where tigress snarls at the gorilla and that changed my brain chemistry forever.

i love the entire second movie this is so hard for me AUGHHHGHGH okay quick honorary mention: i also love the scene where we see shen fight the three masters (rhino, croc, ox). that quick fight scene is SO well executed. the dialogue and the performances are incredible. i used to have every line of dialogue of this movie memorized and especially loved reciting this scene (skip to 1:10)

and then if i had to pick a moment from the third one it's the one where oogway's statue gets wrecked at the jade palace. it lands emotionally very well for a scene that could have easily been mishandled too comedically or too quickly. like it still gives me chills. and i'm not even gonna touch on the character animation/acting of tigress and shifu here bc GOD. kai's theme does rock also!!! AND i LOVE the colors in this movie SO MUCH holy fuck

and then a minor detail from the first one is i love how the characters act with each other, namely the five and shifu. they clearly have a history and/or comradery with each other. shifu undoing the nerve damage tai lung did in a way specific to each of his students stands out to me in particular.

1 and 2 are masterpieces to me and i have my Things about the 3rd one but overall, a beautiful trilogy. i wish the 4th one didn't exist im killing it with my bare hands. vic hate movie? vic murder it. 5th rule of the streets.

Why Po from Kung Fu Panda and N from Murder Drones are the exact same character: an analysis of Po's and N's low empathy.

Hi.

If there is one thing that unites the Murder Drones fanbase and the Kung Fu Panda fanbase is the misinterpretation of their male lead character traits.

More specifically, the two fandoms in their fan works tend to leave out or outright forget one of the most interesting aspects of their characterization:

Their low empathy

So, today, I'm going to explain to you the difference between being kind and being empathetic, why both N and Po are only the former and not the latter, what are their similarities and how said similarities makes the other more interesting, and why it's ok and totally fine for someone to have low empathy as it doesn't make you a monster by definition (well, that's the case at least for Po; sorry N, but you committed genocide).

Let's get right in.

1. Defining kindness and empathy

For starters, I'm going to define the difference between kindness and empathy, as the two terms are often used interchangeably when in reality they are nothing alike. So:

A kind person, is someone who goes out of their way to commit an act of good towards the other, usually said act gets expressed in a physical way (hugs, gifts, favours etc) or a psychological way (pep talks, encouragement, comfort words etc).

An empathetic person, is someone who understands the pain and struggles of the others on an emotional level without necessarily having experienced it before and can relate to them through said connection even if they don't necessarily act upon it.

I'm a kind person, but I'm not an empathetic one. I always go out of the way to not inconvenience the people around me, and I even go out of my way to buy expensive gifts and surprise the people I care about the most, but I don't necessarily feel anything intense when they are present in my life nor do I really relate to their struggles and losses.

I wouldn't define myself as a Po or an N since I'm more on the introverted side of the low empaths, but I can use my extensive knowledge on the matter to demonstrate these next two points:

2. Demonstrating that N has low empathy

I expect this to be easier than Po, since despite the Murder Drones fandom being younger than the KFP one, I assume that most people would believe you if you told them that N is rather unemphatic, because when you really start to think about it for more than one second, you'll realise that N doesn't really feel directly bad for the people he killed, he more so feels remorseful for his past actions and uncomfortable whenever he inconveniences the drones who are still alive through his murderous nature.

In the pilot episode, he kills an entire room full of people and almost kills Uzi as well, and when it's time to apologise? He says that he's sorry for ruining their card game and making Uzi have an awkward moment with her dad. You know... aside from this being a horror comedy show with a tinge of romance, Murder Drones doesn't really make N feel awful for the horrible atrocities he commits, instead makes N feel sorry for the down to earth annoyances he produces.

There are many other examples of his uncaring nature towards life: the death of Uzi's classmates, both by his, Doll's and V's hands, his increasing anger towards V caused more by the fact that she kept secrets rather than her attitude towards the murders, and the speed at which he reacted to Beau and Tessa.

Despite his happy go lucky attitude and gentle treatment of others, N doesn't feel the need to cope with his murders that V and Uzi have (at least on the surface). V couldn't cope with her murderous actions, so instead she created this killer psycho girl persona that enjoys the thrill of death, while Uzi had an entire mental breakdown after taking out half of his classroom and needed N to calm her down.

N's main motivation throughout the season is being useful to the company and his friends, and more often than not this goal involves him being a violent killer to everybody who threatens the wellbeing and happiness of his owners.

N's lack of empathy isn't a flaw that he can overcome like Uzi's ego and V's insecurities, but rather an innate character trait that he has to live with for the rest of his life, and that's ok; after all, the show doesn't punish him for being unable to relate to other people's deaths and traumas, but instead punishes him for being submissive and following orders unapologetically; a flaw that he shares with J.

3. Demonstrating that Po has low empathy

And now, it's time for the hardest sell. Many of you up until this point might have been thinking: "How the hell did he even think about comparing Po from Kung Fu Panda to N from Murder Drones, they are from two completely different franchises with a distinct difference in tone between the two" but trust me, once I came up with the comparison, I was unable to not see it, so I had to write this article.

Much like N, Po has a happy go lucky attitude towards his fights, and uses humour to his advantage and to the disadvantage of his enemies. But don't let his cuddly appearance fool you in the same way pandas fool people in real life and Kung Fu Panda 1 fooled audiences when it first released: behind Po's childlike wonder for martial arts (which is already a red flag, if you think about it, it's similar to Lizzie's passion for murderous women) there's a strong, unyielding warrior who was ready from day one to do the necessary things to keep the Valley of Peace safe.

Don't believe me? Then just look at the photo above; the execution of Tai Lung is definitely the first thing that comes to mind when everyone thinks of Po lacking compassion, for obvious reasons, but there are way more than that: at the beginning of the second movie when Shifu receives the letter informing him that Master Rhino was executed by Lord Shen's weapon, Po is super enthusiastic about Rhino's legendary status right up until Shifu drops the truth bomb on him and reveals that he was killed, and Po's reaction is to instinctively reiterate one of his previous statements, and then moves on from it immediately without any second thoughts. That's not normal, right?

A minor portion of KFP2's conflict is Po's inability to see how much his dad did for him, a struggle overcome only by the end of it. Po, despite loving his dad dearly, is unable to personally relate to all of the things that he did for him, so he puts him off until he can find the answers that he seeks.

Side note: this is what makes their reunion at the end of the movie so impactful for me, I also tend to emotionally neglect people by accident, and when I realise it I go out of my way to make it up to them, like Po who comes back with a lot of ingredients that his dad doesn't need just to let him know that he cares even if he doesn't show it in a normal manner.

The only time in the trilogy where Po's lack of empathy becomes a noticeable problem for him, is in Kung Fu Panda 3, where, after his biological dad tells him that he lied to him in order to make him come to the village, Po, who clearly can't relate to his struggle and barely knew him for a day, immediately rejects him, going as far as to say that he lost him.

Other minor examples are his treatment of the Furious Five, especially the scene in KFP1 where he enters Crane's room and doesn't immediately realise the problem.

4. And now, with that out of the way, it's time to confront the two and explain why their similarities make the other more interesting

When comparing the two, the thing that comes to mind immediately is that Po has a lot less emotional baggage than N, and while that doesn't mean that Po doesn't have trauma (insert Po finds the truth from John Powell and Hans Zimmer), it means that Po compared to N has lived a pretty stable life; while N instead has never been fully safe from harm since he is a robot.

Po feels like a version of N that was not as scarred from tragedy and backstabbed as the other; Po, at least in the movies, doesn't have someone who takes advantage of his kind nature to trick him into committing something bad, while N instead suffers consistently from other people abusing his kindness and trusting nature and more often than not ends up almost dead.

While Po throughout the trilogy struggles to find who he is, who he was, and who he's meant to be, N throughout the show struggles with a worse version of that same concept by lacking self worth, which culminates in his blind thrust.

Po, thanks to his dad, has an internalised moral compass that helps him decide on his own what is right and what is wrong despite lacking empathy, while N never had anybody to explain morality to him, aside from his programming and maybe Tessa, so instead he just goes along with what anybody tells him to do, since he can't directly relate to the pain of others.

That's why comparing the two is so fascinating to me: in many ways, Po and N are each other's foil, because they are so similar in terms of personality and fandom portrayal; they are both genuinely kind individuals, but while one of them had the care and support he needed to become his best self, the other still struggles to find an healthy support system aside from Uzi.

5. Low empathy doesn't make you a monster

A lot of fans tend to dumb down their characters to just kind, sweet and innocent, despite the fact that in the actual canon works they have willingly and intentionally killed people; the general terror, it seems, is the idea that just because they have committed crimes before and they lack the societal traits that make a person traditionally good, then suddenly they are horrible people and you are glorifying violence.

But that's not the case; a lot of the mental conditions stigmatized by society, like sadism, sociopathy, BPD, are just that: conditions. They don't indicate that a person is inherently more good than the other, nor do they indicate that someone is more at risk of becoming evil than the other.

It's who you choose to be.

I hope this post gave both fandoms the insight they needed to write about these two characters properly.

You don't need to be afraid of not having the same personality type as most other individuals, we are all different people yet we all deserve to live in this world equally.

I just read the 3rd chapter of "Your ride will be here shortly" and i had a thought. Will reader try to go Kung Fu panda on them? Like she just snaps and starts throwing punches

and Price and Gaz get there and they're just looking at soap staying there like this 🧍‍♂️with a black eye.

OMG ANON I'M TRYING TO IMAGINE THIS AND IT'S AWESOME- 141 are just lucky that Reader isn't too aggressive in the fic lmao. Because there is a right assessment from her point of view, she would probably not be able to win in a fight against two trained soldiers. Even if she didn't know they were in some military structure, they are still giant, burly, and look(and sound) scary as hell. You wouldn't be able to win a fight against them...if they are sleepy and kinda tired after a night of good sex, however, you could at least leave them with bruises. Maybe a black eye, just something to remember you by. Neither Soap nor Ghost wants to hurt you too much - especially after the struggle you put up the previous night. If anything, they want you to release some of the energy, so you could be submissive and soft for the rest of the boys once again, when you're tired enough. Johnny would literally get off on you punching him, so he volunteers to be your punching bag while Ghost is too busy trying not to laugh. He would humiliate you so much though( asking you to hit harder, to put up a better fight because Captain is going to come and punish you properly. Gaz and Price who arrive and just...you kidnapped a feral cat, not a girlfriend that could be shared between four of them!! They love you, of course, because your struggle makes everything much more fun. Still, I doubt reader would really be able to put up more than a few good punches on them before she is overwhelmed and forced to take whatever they can give. As softly as possible obvi.

dino headed out to the jet with the 141 by his side, shuffling down his seat, the jet took off as the rumble started to shake towards the jet making him lay his head back as the others talked. simon 'ghost' riley was quiet as usual towards the others but sometimes talked out. price was just telling his (sons) to shut the fuck up and piss off.

dino then felt the jet shake with some turbulence as dino groaned, he couldn't get too angry otherwise his spikes would stab the leather from behind his seat like chopping meat. if only he could take them off right now. the jet landed down in a rough landing as everyone got up, dusting, stretching whatever.

the doors opened to reveal a group, soap then waved and yelled as some man looking in his late 30's hugged him and with one of those handshakes that seem oddly painful but dino shrugged. it was normal in the military life. price chuckled gruffly before the man said: ❝ayee, price my man!❞ the man hand shaked the captain with his grin.

dino then had some different opinions, he cant lie alejandro's voice was attractive.. reminded him of one of those mexican cultured movies he'd watch as a kid. dino then crossed his arms as ghost greeted him, so did gaz with a nod. alejandro noticed the giant with a gasp before saying. ❝hey, who the fucks that?❞ dino glanced at alejandro before saying. ❝dino.❞ he said one word and alejandro froze.

the voice made him shocked before grinning. ❝rudy, ya gotta come hear this voice!❞ the man named rudy walked beside alejandro, before rudy was talking with the members of the los vaqueros. ❝..huh?❞ dino said bluntly with a blink as rudy blinked. ❝fucking hell.. his voice is very.. wow.❞ rudy whispered to alejandro before reaching out a hand, soap then wrapped his arm around rudy's shoulder.

they both looked at eachother and laughed it off, earning a chuckle from alejandro and gaz.. a small grin from price and ghost. dino must've missed a lot before groaning quietly.. he had no time for games and shit. alejandro interrupted his thoughts. ❝las says they call ya dino!❞ dino stared before nodding, it was pretty obvious from the spikes on the back, no?

meanwhile..

shuffling into the jeep, dino was large so he had to somehow fit.. so the jeeps roof was open, letting him see all the building and citizens from here. soap then said. ❝taking this fucker down is easy, just got my muscles not through rough training is all.❞ soap said, smug. alejandro laughed, ghost glanced at soap with a smile. you couldnt see it.

but rudy knew when he looked at ghost in the top view mirror.. the eyes of his lifted.

then they arrived at the destination, all devices were set.. ammo? set.. they sent dino in first because he was more the bigger and used as a body shield. on dino.

they were in a laboratory was where it took them to, there was just glass shatter.. ❝looks like they raided the place.❞ gaz said before slowly walking inside, price then went to the locked door before saying. ❝ on me. ❞ price kicked down the locked door before rushing inside, ghost went the other way to clear the room. gaz and soap followed in, and the others did too. the room was filled with gaurds, scientists hiding from this 2nd raid.

dino then shot someone, snapped their neck before kicking their body, shooting someone from behind without a care. fucking assholes. ❝ careful, theres snipers. ❞ dino said before someone tried to choke him with something, he then stabbed the guy with his spikes on his back before kicking some asshole infront.

ghost then shot someone right in the head before multiple came out from the corners. ❝ fuck! theese whiskies. ❞ ghost growled before killing the last person in another room. the soldiers infront seemed to know him with fear and bravery, they decided to risk it. to defeat THE ghost? pathetic.

gas then shot people with a pistol as someone kicked his pistol away, alejandro shot the guy. the pistol was far away. ❝ COVER FOR ME! ❞ gas yelled before alejandro nodded, gas slid on the ground past the killed soldiers quick and took his gun and placed it in his holster. he then eyed a better gun and took it before shooting someone who was behind alejandro.

soap and rudy was eachothers back to back, shooting them down before splitting, soap ran past ghost before stealing a knife from his pocket before stabbing someone in the head then slit someones throat and shot up someone.

rudy then punched someone, kicking them in the crotch as they whined before shooting them in the head. there was more? rudy could take them all with alejandro beside him. ❝¿quieres joder conmigo? vamos.❞ (wanna fuck with me? come on.)

price then spoke in the radio. ❝ more soldiers coming then we expected, get your arse upstairs. we're not taking evac yet, over. ❞

everyone then ran upstairs to see scared scientists in the lab rooms from the glass as the group walked to the exit stairs like badasses.. well thats what johnny would say.

they went upstairs with price, running before heading to the last floor they needed to retrieve the files about the group and.. ❝come on L.T, what if they go' chips? ❞ ghost grumbled before saying. ❝its a lab, not a fuck for 1 free chip gig.❞ ghost followed the group before footsteps were heard.

they all stopped before whipping out guns incase, dino then growled before getting infront of the team as a bodyshield, someone came down from the vents with style before whipping out the gun.

Tbh I had to go through quite a few programs/companies/lists just to find these names. And this post is the broken down version of it. I will say there are a LOT of different anthro based shows/movies (that I ENJOY -sob-), but unfortunately a lot of them also had human interaction, magic, some kind of mythological phenomenon, etc, etc — woven into their stories. Not saying that’s bad, it’s just not what I’m looking for in this Au.

(As enamored as I am with the Au idea of having Kwazii’s sea monster tales be real — I mean come ON!!!!! We’re ALL thinking about it! I was immediately taken by that idea the moment Kwazii first started telling those stories in the show!!! (The source material for this series is literally fighting me tooth and nail)— I may only end up making a spin off series just for the A.S.A. so I can embrace the full fantasy of my usual (creative/art/writing) style. With the A.S.A. I’ve really been trying to put my foot down and make myself go a more scientific route rather than modern fantasy. But, knowing me, I may end up crossing that line day one of actually writing the story.)

“ynnie, just tell me if you want to go or not.” she told you after she stopped laughing. “if you can’t go today, then we can take a raincheck and do it another time.”

“i’m not busy, but have you asked manager-unnie?” she shook her head and you frowned, tapping your pen against your desk. “in that case, you should go ask her for permission to go out first. do you know where you want to go for this picnic?”

the older girl once again shook her head, an innocent look on her face, and you sigh. “okay, once you tell manager-unnie and she approves, you two should go over some places to picnic at. once that’s done, come back to me, okay?”

“okay.”

if you were going to be honest, you had expected her to forget about going on a picnic.

like yesterday, she often came up with ideas on what to do whenever she was bored, which ranged from simple things like going out to eat to things like going to beach and teaching you all to surf.

however, she had never gone through with such ideas, quickly forgetting them the minute she found something else to do.

so, when she had proposed the idea of going on a picnic, you hadn’t expected for her to come to your room the next day, practically banging on your door with how eager she was.

“yn, yn, guess what!” she said the moment you opened the door, eyes like crescents as she smiled widely at you.

“what, dani-unnie?” you ask, raising a brow.

her smile promptly dropped at your response, her lips forming a playful pout. “i said ‘guess’, ynnie, not ‘ask me’.”

amused, you smile and began guessing, having decided to play along with the older girl’s little guessing game. “did you just eat another carrot?”

“nope.” she replied, shaking her head, and, had you not moved back in time, the tips of her hair would have whipped you in the face. “you’re close, though.”

“did you buy more carrots?” you ask, tilting your head. she once again shakes her head, giggling as she did so.

“huh, what could it…” you trail off, belatedly realizing that her hands were behind her back. “…unnie, what are you hiding behind your back?”

“guess.” she insisted before gasping when you rush forward in an attempt to grab at whatever she was holding. “hey, i said guess!”

“sorry unnie, but i have no clue what the answer is, so we might be here for a while if you–” you grunt, your arms around danielle as you attempt to take what she was holding. “–gh, if you don’t show me what you’re hiding.”

“it’s a picnic basket.” haerin said from behind danielle, the latter flinching while the former continued to sip on her juice box innocently. “and you owe me, yn-unnie.”

“i’ll make sure to ask the manager for permission to go to the cat cafe.” you promised, moving away from danielle as she pouted. “is tomorrow a good time?”

“i have a schedule tomorrow.” the younger girl said. “what about the day after?”

“i have to go in and record that day.” the two of you frown, staring at the ground – or, in haerin’s case, at you – in contemplation before the oldest out of the three of you clears her throat.

“oh, sorry dani-unnie, i sort of forgot you were here.” you say, smiling sheepishly at the aussie before turning to haerin one last time. “i’ll just ask the manager when we’re both free, how about that?”

the girl shrugged and nodded at the same time, leaving you confused as she walked away. beside you, danielle cleared her throat again, doing it more loudly than she had earlier.

“since haerinnie told you what i’m holding, i’m hoping that you can guess why i’m so excited now.” she said, looking at you with expexctanr eyes.

“we’re going on a pic…nic…?” it sounds less like an answer and more like a question, because, even if danielle was holding a picnic basket, there was no telling whether she would use it for it’s intended purpose or use it for something else.

fortunately, danielle ignores how question-like your answer was and cheers, clapping her hands and even going so far as to spin around. “you got it! good job, ynnie~!”

“when did you get permission from manager-unnie?” you ask, surprised. “i don’t remember seeing you talking to her…”

“i got permission yesterday, when you were in the middle of your recording.” she said as she smiled widely at you. “you told me to get permission, so i did. do you need some time to prepare, or can we get going?”

“hold on, unnie, i need to get dressed.” you gesture for her to wait and, without waiting for a response, ran to the closet you shared with minji and haerin,hurriedly grabbing some clothes off their hangers.

“take your time, ynnie.” she called, swinging her picnic basket around as she waited. “we have the whole day to picnic!”

“how did you even get manager-unnie’s permission?” you ask, pulling on a sweatshirt before pausing. “oh, and could you check whether or not it’s cold out?”

danielle hums, pulling her phone out of her pocket and doing as you asked. “let’s just say i bargained with manager-unnie a bit… okay, it says that it’s currently twenty-four degrees celcius, but that it’ll go down to– oh wow, eighteen in an hour or so.”

“that’s a pretty big drop.” you murmur, swapping your sweatshirt for a regular t-shirt and tying a jacket around your hips. “and what do you mean ‘bargained’? you didn’t do anything you shouldn’t have, did you?”

“i may or may not have said that i would do this commercial shoot thing, but that’s beside the point.” danielle said, laughing nervously as she put her phone away. “have you finished getting ready yet?”

“just one second…” you bend down and grab a bag, cramming it with a random assortment of things – a mask, your phone, headphones, etc. – before zipping it closed and swinging it over your shoulder. “okay. you brought food, right?”

“yep!” she raised her picnic basket and patted it. “i made some sandwiches and brought you-know-what.”

“carrots?” you ask, amused.

“carrots.” she said, nodding seriously.

“i can’t believe you weren’t joking about the carrots.” you say, staring at the two unpeeled and very large carrots in the older girl’s hands.

danielle raises an eyebrow, placing her hands – which were still holding the carrots – on her hips. “and i can’t believe you thought i was joking about the carrots.”

“you never joke around about carrots.” you agreed, nodding your head slightly. “by the way, s that the same picnic basket we got during the picnic video?”

“yep! the producers let me keep it when i asked if i could.” danielle pulled out a blanket from the basket and unfolded it before placing it on the ground. “they were going to let you guys keep them too, but you guys left before they could tell you that.”

“that sucks.” you mutter, crouching down and picking up a few rocks. “do these look big enough to you, unnie?” she looks over and you show her the rocks in your hands.

“they don’t, but i think if you put two or three in each corner, it’ll be heavy enough to hold it down.” she told you, taking some of your rocks and placing them down. “see? it works!”

despite your doubt, you nod, eyeing the average-sized pebbles rocks warily. “if you say so, unnie.”

“alright, do you want to go find some more rocks, or do you want me to?” danielle asked. “it’s not particularly windy, so i don’t think we’ll need a lot, but…”

“i’ll go get them.” you decide, standing up. “you’re wearing a skirt and i don’t want any bugs accidentally crawling up your legs and… well…”

“oh, you’re so sweet ynnie~” the older girl cooed, patting you on your head. “i’ll set up the sandwiches and carrots while you do that, how does that sound?”

“sounds good.” you say, nodding.

“then that’s settled. good luck finding rocks, ynnie!~”

“thanks unnie. i’ll make sure to come back with a lot of… er, rocks.”

needless to say, you did not come back with many rocks.

“it’s like some… thing came and took them all.” you grumbled, pouting as you plopped down beside danielle. “there’s even indents in the dirt for where they used to be.”

“it’s okay.” the older girl soothed, patting you on the back. “it's not very windy anyway, so i don’t think we’ll need them.”

you sigh, shaking your head. “you’re right, but still… what could’ve taken them?”

“never mind that.” danielle picked up a sandwich in it and put it in front of your mouth. “go on and eat. i know you haven’t eaten much since this morning.”

“you’re right, i wouldn’t have eaten breakfast this morning if hanni-unnie hadn’t told me to.” you muse before taking a bite of the sandwich. “wow, unnie. this is really good.”

“isn’t it?” danielle said, puffing her chest proudly. “i’m getting really good at this cooking stuff, aren’t i?”

“you’re definitely better than i am.” you said, sighing and shaking your head. “even with hanni-unnie’s lessons, i still suck at cooking.”

“aw, don’t say that ynnie. you’re great at cooking!” a pause. “just… not with a stove. the image of your burnt pasta is pretty hard to forget, as much as i want to forget it.”

“ugh, minji-unnie and hanni-unnie were so mad at me that day.” you take another bite of your sandwich. “they didn’t speak to me for a whole day – or, well, minji-unnie didn’t. hanni-unnie got bored of being upset with me an hour into the silent treatment.”

“‘can’t say i blame them.” she said, shrugging. “making pasta is super simple, i didn’t think it was actually possible to burn it.”

“apparently, i didn’t add enough water.” you pause mid-chew. “at least, that’s what hanni-unnie said.”

“well, at least you know now to add a lot of water.” danielle said cheerfully, smiling at you.

“i guess so.”

“but really, have you never seen your parents cook pasta before?”

“uhm, no, pasta wasn’t really something they made. they didn’t make much of anything, actually.”

“really? my parents made a lot of pasta when i was younger. once, my sister even added chocolate to her spaghetti.”

“really? how did that taste?”

“…it didn’t taste good.”

Sorry to ask a divisive and kinda subjective question but I’m wondering

Is Jack Black reclaimed fat humor?

I don't know about anyone else's opinion except my own. But for me, I don't see Jack Black as fat positive. I learned recently of one of his old works, and it was a movie that entirely depended on fatphobia for the premise and story. Then there's his other movies which have the guise of fat positivity while still promoting fatphobic stereotypes and humor that can just be summed up as "Haha, he's fat!" He also has supported Autism Speaks, though that factor should be taken with a grain of salt. From my quick double-check, it could be possible that he either didn't know how bad Autism Speaks is or doesn't support the organization anymore since he apparently has donated to other autism organizations as well, and he also seems to not have supported the organization in the past few years. But I can't say for sure what his thoughts were when he donated.

Similar to Shrek, Kung Fu Panda pretends to be fat positive by forcing a message akin to "Fat people aren't THAT bad. Some of them are funny! And maybe deserving of a little humanity. Sort of," while still heavily relying on fatphobic jokes, tropes, and stereotypes that take out the miniscule bite the original message even had. These types of movies, as well as Jack Black himself, are basically the "body positivity" of fat liberation—watered down, for profit, barely advocates for any change at all, and still purposefully at fat people's expense.

So that's why I personally am not a fan of his, but I'm not going to chew someone out for liking him because he's a much less important issue to me than stuff like the wage gap for fat people, all of the medical fatphobia, etc.

(Tai Lung's Kitten) (Part 1: Kindness) (No One's POV)  Malinal fell flat on her back and groaned as she did. She had somehow been transported to China. She did not know how she got her, she had been at the Aztec Temples and now here she was in China. She got up and looked around. She was a bit away from a village and temple, but on the hill she is, she can see the temple. She would have to travel through the forest and that is what she did. She walked down the large hill she was on being careful. She then made her way through the forest and only came out with a few scrapes and bruises.  For Some reason, she could understand the language. She was confused and asked people what part of China she was in when someone tapped her back. She turns around to see an elderly turtle. 

"My Child, are you the woman from the Aztec temples, Malinal." He asks her and her eyes go wide.  "Yes, I am, why, how do you know that?" She asks him.  "Come with me, I have much to discuss with you." He says. "I am Master Oogway and I foresaw a terrible event, there is one way to stop it and I believe that is you."  "What do you mean?" She asks.  "I cannot tell you the details as it could change everything, but trust me, you are in good hands." He reassures her.  That is how she came to live In China. She did not understand what Master Oogway had planned, but she trusted the grand master, as he was very calm and wise, he also seemed to have faith that she would be able to do what he knew she could... It put her a bit at ease. 

 Master Oogway got her a job at a prison and he said it was to train her for her real challenge, whatever that was and she was in charge of a prisoner there. The prisoner is Tai Lung. She remembers the first day she met Tai Lung.  "Who are you." The Jaguar asks her.  "I am Malinal, I am here to bring you your meal and keep you company." She tells him and his eyes narrowed on her, he felt this strange feeling in his chest for it. He did not know if he liked it.  She gave him his meal and sat down setting her meal down across from him. Yes, she planned to eat with him. She prayed over her food and he stared her down. She then grabbed her chopsticks and began to eat her meal. He trusting her slowly began to eat his meal as well. This began to be a daily thing for them. The first thing she would do when there was bring him breakfast, then talk to him for two hours, followed by making lunch and bringing it to him another two hours of talking, cooking, and eating dinner with him.  She did in fact cook meals for him. As after three days, she told him she would make him something. Today though she made him a nice sweet, that was not too sweet. She was not the best baker at least that is what she thought. So she wanted to make this new recipe she found of Chinese mango pudding. She got very little sleep making it perfect. She hoped it would not be too sweet.  (Fun fact saying a desert is not too sweet in China and some other Countries in Asia is a huge compliment for the desert, unlike Americans they do not like overly sweet things as much!) 

She brought it with his breakfast and quickly made her way to his cell. There he was waiting, pacing. She was late and he was worried something happen to her.  "Sorry that I am-"  "Malinal! Are you okay!?" He demands to know having himself pressed to the bars and his tail swaying as if she was prey.  "Oh! I am fine!" She says with a smile. "I did not mean to worry you, I just wanted to make you a treat last night and had to make it perfect."  He was shocked and she pulled it out, holding it out to him with a bright smile. She worked hard on it and wanted to know if he liked it!  "Y-You made this for me." He asks, stunned.  she was not only making healthier and more tasty meals, but she also took the time to make him sweets. She bought the food and made it herself. He was touched.  "Yes! I hope you like it! I also hope it is not too sweet!" She tells him and he takes it slowly lifting a spoonful to his mouth.  It was so good and it brought him back to when he was small and his adoptive father would make this when they were in season. He was feeling very strange.  He looked at her and saw she was waiting expectingly.  "It is not too sweet, thank you." He tells her and she breaks out into a grin.  He felt his heart race and the tides had changed. Master Oogway had a new vision, this time, Mailina was in danger! The plan he saw before was gone, and she was at risk!

Death x Reader

A/N: Howdy anon! I had to brush up on KFP2 for this one, but I'm glad to continue this little AU! Though I did explore Death's relationship with the reader in the original post, I mainly did that with anticipating a part two. So for the sake of having a nice narrative, at the start of this little post, the reader and Death are just acquaintances. Thank you for sending in this request!

You are living your best life as the Dragon Warrior. You're defending the valley, have five awesome new best friends, have one very cool kung fu master as your teacher (who was going to teach you all about inner peace!), and also your parent is still running the best noodle shop in the valley.

Also there's that one wolf guy: Death.

Sometimes he shows up when you're defending the valley, sometimes he doesn't. But whenever you see him, you're both glad to see each other. At least, you think he's glad to see you. Kind of hard to tell since you usually see him wearing his hood.

When you and the Five are sent to stop a gang of bandits, you're reminded that not all wolves are nice.

And you have a flashback of another panda, just like you.

Death appears (again). Normally, you'd be startled by his presence, but you're still reeling from the memory. He's Death, but he can't read minds, so you brush him off and gather the gang to head back home.

Sidenote: Yes, Death was there when your biological parent died. Yes, he could (and would) tell you more about them if you asked. But he hasn't put together the dots that you're remembering your past.

You ask your parent about your past, and now you're a bit shaken, having learned you're adopted and still having questions your parent can't give you answers to, but WHOOPSIES time for a quest.

(*Shrek the Musical Fiona voice*: Skip ahead, skip ahead, skip ahead-)

When you're out sitting on the boat to Gongmen City, you hear familiar whistling. It's Death. Initially, you freak out because now you're wondering if someone is going to die. But he clarifies that no one is dying. Yet. He confesses that he's been breaking a few rules recently, but he wants to check on you because you seem...troubled.

You talk about your nightmare.

For a minute, you're worried you've wasted his time. He's frowning and looking ahead on the river, thoughtful. "Sorry, that was a lot. I should let you get back to work doing your whole Death thing. I just...I don't really know where I belong. And it's not a great feeling. What did I do...for my parents to leave me?"

And the wolf stands up and shakes his head, quietly swearing under his breath. The things he does for love. "Mind if I tell you something?" You nod, curious. "I was there. When your parent left you in that crate." "Oh. Wait...does that mean..." "That doesn't matter right now." "Of course it matters! They could be-"' He grabs your shoulder. "Listen. They loved you very much. Both of your parents. They did what they needed to out of their love for you." "But why? And what happened to them?"

He is conveniently interrupted by the sight of Gongmen City and the Five waking up from sleep. He vanishes into the night.

You and the Five sneak into the city and see all the wolves. You're getting really sick of these guys. You try to get Rhino and Croc out, they can't leave because of the weapon, you run into the wolf boss again and you're all caught.

(Why can't these guys be more like Death? you think to yourself as you're climbing the many....many stairs in Shen's palace.)

And speak of the devil, you spot him in the shadows when you meet Shen for the first time. He looks more that displeased, paws firmly gripping his sickle handles. But he can't interfere in anything can he? Not after doing so much for you recently. You can't help but wonder if you're going to die right then and there in front of the canon. But Mantis saves you all and there goes the canon. Boom!

You try to get to Shen but you have another flashback. Shen escapes, and Death interferes again to get you and the Five out of the tower. You guys were having too many near death experiences for his taste. You all regroup together.

Once again, you are having an identity crisis, and Tigris tells you to stay behind, telling Death to keep an eye on you to make sure you don't do anything that'll get you killed.

Luckily for you, that's not in his job description.

"I don't take orders from anyone. Especially mortals." he sighs. The wolf nudges you with a wink. "Alright then, Dragon Warrior. Go. I won't tell."

Honestly, I think if I were going to give Death an arc this 'x reader' ver of KFP2, it would be the conflict between his duty to let the everything pan out and not interfere before he needs to take souls to the spirit world, and his own desire to engage in mortal life (ie. protect you) and talk to them and learn more about them (ie. you). He's already interfered so many times, and he can tell the cosmic balance was getting a little bit out of sorts. But...

Death decides to stay back during the fight, lurking in the shadows and doing his job properly. But he is shocked when Shen tells you that your parents didn't love you. And he loses it when you nearly die again to Shen.

He carries you out of the river and looks around desperately for help. He's Death. Death can't be afraid of anything or of anyone. Death shouldn't feel fear. But right now...he's terrified. He knows everyone dies at some point. It was inevitable. But was uncertain was whether or not him being there could actually lead to your death. If you died, would it have been because he interfered and got too close?

He follows the river away from Shen and the Five, and he makes it to the Soothsayer. The Soothsayer is vaguely aware that Death is someone from beyond the mortal world, but he rests you at her feet and tells her to help you.

When you recover, it takes both of them talking to you in order for you to recover your memories and achieve inner peace. When the Soothsayer tells you that your present actions define who you are, something resonates with Death.

He joins you, the Five, and the Masters in the final fight in Gongmen. Cosmic law be damned, Death says no to weapons of mass destruction. He's going to let his actions define him and how he approaches his relationships.

Yeah, no. Seeing you make the water droplet technique your own made him fall even harder for you.

And once again, I have a link to swanpit's art because 1. This art is hilarious and beautiful and 2. I think seeing Shen and Death interact like this would be lovely and fits this fic.

But yes. Our Dragon Warrior achieves inner peace and Death is becoming more and more of his own person aside from literally being Death.

Also: on the trip back to the valley, Death tags along. And he may or may not try to indirectly ask you out to dinner. You say "Sure! Let's head to my parent's place!" and his tail is thumping on the boat's deck, causing it to tip a little. Needless to say, he's excited.

Changing timeline things from the first post so that they now occur after KFP2:

At this point, he starts showing up more frequently, during and outside of battles, and he seems more relaxed around you. And you come to learn that his presence doesn't always mean someone's going to die. He just wants to visit. (And after so long observing how people live and die, he has a chance to try living for himself.)

He starts dragging you away from training to get a meal together in town or to go on a nice walk in the mountains.

When Shifu complains, Death shrugs. "Alright then." He draws his weapons, snapping the sickles together and forming his staff. "Let's continue the Dragon Warrior's training then."

Plenty of sparring practice and playful banter between the two of you. It's so much fun for the both of you, and you start tag-teaming during battles. He joins you and the Five in your fights, always sure to use just a fraction of his strength as to not kill everyone in his path. But he reaps souls if need be.

And after all of this, in a shocking turn of events, you are the one to confess your love to Death.

And after all of this, he can confidently reciprocate that love.

So kung fu panda 4 just reached 400 million at the box office, and I’m gonna be honest, while I obviously want dreamworks to make money, I hope this doesn’t set a precedent. I know a lot of people love this movie, but it just feels hollow compared to the first three. The amount of things they could have done better is what pains me. They are really lucky this movie is funny (it’s nothing if not funny) and has the KFP name to ride on. Because I’m sorry to say, this felt ALMOST as bland as ruby gillman. Both suffer from writing that should have taken itself more seriously and flesh out the storyline in ways that would have benefitted. Both suffer from villains that feel like they SHOULD have compelling backstories and motivations but one falls flat because of a dumb plot twist and the other falls short because it’s like the barebones of a backstory and motivation (again, thank you Mike). Both try to be emotional at times, which I respect, but again, they could have went way further to get the heart strings tugging. My main point is, it doesn’t matter if half of the fanbase liked the movie, or even loved the movie, or if it made back a ton of money. This shouldn’t set a precedent for people making these movies deciding to not put in their all when it comes to making an interesting story that feels like it has heart put into it, only because it’s riding off the success of previous installments in the franchise. Here I was hoping dreamworks would make a ruby sequel that blows the first one out of the water, but if they’re not gonna give their all for Kung Fu Panda of all things, then how can I expect them to do better for a movie that only made 45 million. Hopefully I’m wrong. Hopefully the wild robot will show dreamworks “wow, people actually really love it when we put an emphasis on heartfelt emotional storytelling that doesn’t overly rely on comedy,” and maybe kfp5 will bring back the magic the first 3 had, and ruby gillman 2 will be known as the biggest comeback for an animated franchise.

Let’s talk about Kung Fu Panda 4

Okay, so we finally got some updates on KFP4, the plot, the director and what to expect to see in the film. My reaction to this is….mix.

On one hand, I’m so happy we got something! But on the other hand, I’m just really nervous and I don’t like this deflated feeling. So I’m writing this out to share my thoughts and wanting to hear what the fandom thinks. I’ll try not to make this too long or sound like a rant, I’m going straight to the point and talk about the good and bad about KFP4.

So first let’s talk about the director: Mike Mitchell

……Oh boy.

Ok I’m not gonna give the guy any crap, I’m willing enough to give him a chance. Yes I know he directed Trolls, but he also directed Shrek Forever After. I looked back at that movie after The Last Wish and it’s not really that bad. It was actually sweet and serious in some parts. And that’s what I hope this director will do, have the 4th film at least serious in some parts and don’t make it too goofy or jokey where it feels awkward.    

Now on to the story and this is the best way I can summarize this from a few articles I’ve read:

“ Po is getting promoted to be the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace, but he has to choose someone to take his place as the new Dragon Warrior. He catches a theft fox who he could see potential in their skills but they don’t get along. But Then a Chinese sorcerer known as ‘The Chameleon’, has summon Po’s past villains from the dead. Now Po and his (student?) must journey together and stop this new villain. ”  

So judging by the information that we got, it sounds like many years have passed since the third movie. Po becoming leader actually worries me because it’s probably hinting that Master Shifu may pass away and now Po has to take his responsibilities (This is just a guess so sorry Shifu fans!).  

There is also this fox character they have mention in the articles which they can’t seem to get the name right and they keep flipping their gender. First it was misspelled as Shen, then it was Chen and Zhen so I’m just gonna call them Fox for now on.

I wonder what kind of story arc will they give Fox. What’s their backstory? What kind of lessons they must learn? Does Po see himself in them or are they both different with different views? These are some questions I hope they answer. Giving Po a student to teach was a direction I theorized DreamWorks will go down and I’m glad they did. The trilogy had Po as a student, now taking the role of masterful teacher, it make sense to passed down those experiences to someone. I can really image the funny shenanigans they can get in to, along with the Furious Five. I think it would have been awesome if they each had a student too and they all come together fighting the villains with the skills they were taught. If there’s one thing I’m really worried about is the Five getting pushed aside for this new character or Fox ending up being a perfect character. Have Fox be flawed, have them be a kid we can relate and root for and something that the kids will like too.

Now let’s talk about my most favorite thing of all: THE VILLAINS!!!

OH MY GOD MY FANGIRL IS TRYING TO TAKE OVER! TAI LUNG, SHEN AND KAI ARE COMING BACK!! AND I DON’T KNOW IF THIS IS A GOOD OR BAD THING!!??

I am shock, like I never expected they go down this route. Story wise, I understand why the three shouldn’t come back as they served their purpose as villains, but no, they are bringing them all back. A actual animation studio is listening and giving the fans what they wanted??

DreamWorks must be watching their fandoms, that’s the only explanation I can think of. They must have saw all of our fanarts and fanfics and went like “Oh damn, they really love are villains…you know what, let’s bring them back.”

So how will this affect the story? I honestly don’t know, maybe Fox has to learn all body, mind, and spirit in order to help Po and the Five.

Now what I’m really surprised is they choose a chameleon to be the forth villain. I did some research this morning, and there’s not that many species that look intimidating. But if they could make a peacock threatening, I’m sure they can make a chameleon threatening too. I even looked up about sorcerers in China and I think they meant shamans. Chinese shamans are known to be wizards or spirit mediums, this could mean the Chameleon may have some connection to the spirit realm, which I hope they explored more on. I read some of this under Wikipedia, its very interesting.

And that’s all I have to say for Kung Fu Panda 4. I am a little worry for this film but I’m not gonna get worked up about it, I’m gonna stay positive that it will work and I’m sure it will. The only thing that could save this film is the animation. I think KFP is perfect for that hybrid spiderverse animation.

These three pieces of media have a trend

I love these movies and shows so much and I want to talk about just one reason I love them:

Autism.

The three main characters of all these franchises have a similar situation. They are all weird and friendless and they have a dream that no one believes that they can accomplish.

Izuku with his dream to be a hero. PO with his dream to be a Kung Fu warrior and Hiccup with his dream (at first) to kill a dragon (which turned into being friends with dragons).

They are all bullied and ridiculed. What I find really interesting though is there's The reason for them being bullied and then the hidden and (seemingly) more likely reason that they are bullied. Izuku is quirkless, no one thinks he can be a hero because he has no powers. PO is big, no one thinks that he has the body to be a warrior and Hiccup is small. As he says, he's a walking fishbone.

However from what I can tell, those are merely (horrible, might I add) excuses to hate on them. Like what gobber says, 'its what's on the inside that they can't stand.'

What I don't get is that in Mha, 20% of the population is quirkless. In a school of just 300 there would be sixty kids who didn't have a quirk. I know we didn't see much of other quirkless kids but I really do think that the bullying that Izuku received would have been much worse than everyone else. It seems to me that the main reason that they don't like him, (especially Bakugo) is because of his personality. Because he's annoying.

I think that a big reason they hated him was because they noticed autistic traits, didn't understand it was autism (or cared) and didn't like it.

(I can make a separate post about why I think all these characters are autistic)

Now with Kung Fu Panda. (I just want to say really quick that I do not mean to take away from the real situations and ridicule that plus size people receive. I know that it happens and I know it can be really bad and I'm sorry for anyone who experienced bullying. I think that Po does face a lot of discrimination just because of his body, I just want to highlight the underlining albeism that seems to be present)

Po in my opinion is so clearly Audhd. He has an intense interest on Kung fu and everything surrounding it. He knows everything about the five, and he misses a ton of social cues. He just blurts things out and doesn't realize how they can be inappropriate for nuerotypical standards.

When Shifu first speaks with him he is immediately unimpressed. Yes, he does bring up (if I can recall correctly) his 'flabby' body. But it was also because Po was so excited and he was speaking in a way that Shifu or one of the five wouldn't. He was describing all the artifacts and knew exactly what the pinky hold was.

In fact, to me, the movie wouldn't have happened if Shifu didn't accept Po's weirdness. Really, in the end, Pos's body shape wasn't a detriment at all and I think Shifu knew this. He's worked with so many different species before, he has to know that every type of body has their own value. He teaches a prey mantis for crying out loud.

And also, I don't think most of Po's insecurities came from his size. To me, he seemed mostly insecure about himself inwardly. (Though I haven't watched the movie in a few months) Come on though, the whole secret ingredient thing? I think there was a reason that when he looked into the scroll it only showed his face.

Yes, his size did help a lot in the fight and I love that part of the movie so much but his creativity and his differentness helped a ton too. He literally imagined the scroll as a comfort food to get to it first... I mean, are they even trying to hide it? (We know it's his comfort food cause he literally did the splits to get to them when he got upset)

I'll move on to How to Train your Dragon now. Hiccup had ADHD. Hiccup has autism. I think that's a universally accepted, right? I think most of the movie is a metaphor for nuerdivergence. The movies already have amazing physical disability representation but that came later. In the first few minutes, we already knew something was different about Hiccup compared to everyone else. He was impulsive, he didn't listen, once he was set on something he was going to accomplish it, he said things without thinking, he was terrible with socializing. Especially with those his age. Gobber said, and I loosely quote, "it's not what's on the outside, it's what's on the inside that he can't stand."

That boy didn't have any friends until he met the dragon that he shot down. I'm sorry, or is that not the most autistic thing you ever heard. It's like autisitic people and their animals. My dog was and is my best friend. Always will be. And a dragon is basically a giant cat/dog, and reptile.

He didn't get friends until his 'uniqueness' set him apart in a 'good' way. It wasn't until he was useful and cool that he got any human friends which is something I wished they touched on in Race to the Edge. Like, Hiccup has to have some insecurity surrounding that, right?

Anyway, my point is, whenever you see a character get bullied. Just remember that they are most likely nuerodivergent and that's probably why none of the characters like them. Peter Parker is included in this list.

Tad 4 theory: The main theme of the movie

My brain: Seriously, already??? The movie comes out in-

Shhhhh, it's never too early to cook.

It's not that deep but I'm just wondering what is the main theme of Tadeo Jones 4. We know the group will travel to the past and make it to their present before it's too late.

Maybe the theme will be something about "letting your past go and focusing on what you have in the present" and I could be wrong, but this is a lesson that it will most likely affect not Tad, but MUMMY the most.

Yes, Tad may have some other issues to resolve that we don't know about. Maybe he's going to marry Sara and he's sad his parents (and probably his granny) aren't with him while Sara has her father still present.

Maybe Ramona has also something to say regarding her tragic past and how it was unfair her reign only lasted 3 days or maybe even Sara has some problems regarding her past, be with her father or Victoria or who-knows-who.

But it is Mummy the one who is going to make the wish...

Why? As seeing this is going to be the funniest movie of the franchise, I think I can't have some sad undertones. It could be he isn't making the wish for him, but for his friends.

Maybe he want Tad to encounter his parents or for Sara, her mother.

Maybe he want to take Ramona to her era when Egypt was great so she can see her subjects again (she mentioned at the end of the third movie that she misses them)

Or maybe he just wants to randomly travel through time so he and his friends could see past events that were only recorded in books. It would be interesting if the "travel between time" is decided on whoever holds the lamp or maybe they get a travel machine or a clock or something.

Would be interesting if Mummy didn't even say where/when he wants to travel and the magic of the lamp just transports him to the time he was alive because... lore and stuff, but I think this won't happen.

Also Mummy will finally had to confront his mistakes for once because he was partially responsible for the curse of the third movie. He unleashed Hermes from his chains, made more easy to the police to follow his friends and destroyed the Mona Lisa, but never said "I'm sorry"

He was probably sorry, but the movie didn't show that. And now that his wish is going to reshape the world as they (and we) know it, he is finally going to realize that "yes, I messed up big time and it's my fault"

We still don't know if someone (coughTad) motivated him to make the wish, but he still did it, and the reasons behind that peculiar wish could be more deep than the others realize.

Back with the theme of letting your past go, maybe if they DO have a villain in that movie they could be motivated by the fact that they can't and WON'T let their past go. Probably if there's a genie inside the lamo, it could be their case as part of their backstory.

Or maybe some of the funny characters they meet in the past have their own reasons as to why they cling to the past, and some will let it go, while others (the villains/antagonists) don't.

The possibilities are endless. But I'm pretty sure the lesson would be something related to the past and not let that define you (kind of like Kung Fu Panda 2, but less serious and more funny)
