Finally finished wind waker! Good Game 👍👍👍 I already watched some of the ending cutscenes (because I've been doing linkverse stuff and I need to know how all the games I'm using work lol) but they definitely work best when put together in one cohesive sequence. I didn't actually love either of the Ganon fights, but maybe that's because I was a bit worried about the fact it was quickly becoming 1 am 🤣
In other news, I can see why people like this Ganondorf. I should mention that I am in no way swayed by his little speech, especially with how he treated hyrule and his own people in ocarina of time, but I can sympathize, a bit. And I can see his thought process and how he got here. Basically, while I still do hate him, he's an actually well written villain! I can see how he's justifying his actions as if they're in the greater good instead of just the desperate actions of a man clinging to the power he once had. It's also really cool how he mirrors the king. They both take some pretty dubious actions towards fulfilling their goal, but in the end the king is able to accept the past is gone and stop dragging the children into it with him, while Ganondorf clings to it til the bitter end. And finally, Link and Tetra can stop fighting the battles of people long dead, and move to their futures. I appreciated the theme a lot! And man it felt good to finally see Aryll again! I missed her 🥺🥺🥺 in other notes, rip links poor little face, Ganondorf does not pull his punches

Something that confuses me about Spirit Tracks is the fact that Tetra canonically became the queen of a new Hyrule. It's not that I'm doubting her ability to govern, but ... that's just not who she is.
Her heart has always belonged to the sea.
Even when she learns it to be the fallout from a war long past, a damnation from goddesses she will never care to pray to, that is still her home, and she loves it fiercely. It has given everything she could have ever asked for: a crew that is more of a family to her than a sunken king, of course, Link, her best friend, and, most important of all, adventure. The sea is vast and there are waters still uncharted. She would be a fool to not explore them.
Additionally, one would think the events that transpired in Wind Waker would provide her the wisdom to avoid such politics by rejecting her "divine" right to rule. Even at her young age, she could see for herself how well her ancestors dealt with their problems. It's probably in her best interest not to concern herself with such matters if she can help it.
And what better way to avoid them, than to keep sailing? The sea carries a sort of freedom within it, after all.
#MAYBE she becomes a pirate queen. i'll give her that#let her be a menace to sea society!#but come on. Wind’s father figures.
Okay, this is definitely one fic I gotta write when I finish my current one for One Piece:
Before meeting the Chain, Wind has had a total of three people he's considered his dad.
Everyone talks about Linebeck and how he's Wind dad even if he won't admit it, so for now I'll leave him be and focus on the other two.
-First it was his birth father that tragically died when he was 5. He was a famous cartographer from whom Wind inherited his love for the sea and navigation skills.
-Wind's father would tell him the legend of the Hero of Time himself and other stories about his journeys across the Great Sea while they would both stare longingly at the waves.
-When Wind was born, he stopped sailing for some time because he was afriad of leaving his family alone if something happened to him. But when Wind's mother got pregnant with Aryll, the family was suddenly in need of more money.
-It was then that someone offered Wind's father a huge sum for drawing a map to locate the infamous ghost ship of the Great Sea. He took the job because the money would be enough for the family, but he'd have to lie to say he wasn't happy to get back on the waves one more time.
-Wind's father was able to complete the map and even discovered what was the supposed treasure in it's cargo. But before he could tell anyone, he mysteriously died and his map dissappeared.
-Since the map was nowhere to be found, the rich man who commissioned him refused to pay his familiy. This is one of the reasons Wind started to embrace the pirate's life while sailing the Great Sea.
-Wind's mom died when she gave birth to Aryll and so her two children were left to be raised by their grandma.
-During Wind Waker, Wind bonds with the King of Red Lions/King Daphnes
-I imagine King Daphnes as an opposite to King Roahm, but just as tragic and unintentionally harmfull. While Roahm didn't make sure to let Zelda know that he was in her corner, Daphnes innocently put too much pressure in Wind by remaining supportive, but still placing all his hopes in him.
-Think of Shifu's line to Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda, "I loved you too much to realize what I was turning you into. I'm sorry."
-King Daphnes is not only is the first to believe that Wind has the makings of a Hero, he remains his biggest supporter through their journey.
-King Daphnes is the one who teaches Wind how to navigate and sail and Wind is ecstatic to find out he inherited his father's skills as a natural navigator and cartographer.
-He also encourages Wind to explore the Great Sea as he's wanted to his entire life, on the basis that it'll help him become strong enough to face Ganondorf. More importantly though, Daphnes just wants Wind to be as much of a kid as he can be in their situation.
-It's not long before they start to see each other as father and son. Daphnes tells him that, even if the gods thought otherwise, to him he would always be as brave and heroic as any old legend and that he's proud no matter what happens.
-This does become a problem because Daphnes has such belief and pride in Wind that he fails to realize in how much danger he's dragging his boy into. A brave boy, yes. But still a boy who shouldn't have to fight a man's battle.
-Because of that, he never stops to think about persuading Wind to stop and let an adult handle it. Wind would've refused of course, but that conversation between them never happens.
-It's not until Wind's friends start to be chosen one by one to fullfill their duties as Princess and Sages that Wind starts to question Daphnes and the kingdom's importance.
-Makar becoming a Sage is the last straw for Wind and he and Daphnes have a terrible disagreement. In the end, Wind tells Daphnes that he'll keep fighting to save his friends but that he was a fool for getting attached to someone who's just using him.
-That serves as a wake-up call to Daphnes to what he's doing and he starts to wonder if this world would be better off without Hyrule.
-Wind not only discovers his father's ghost ship map but also manages to hunt the ship down and recover the treasure aboard: A piece of the Triforce. He still doesn't find out what truly happened to his father but he's glad that his final work wasn't for nothing in the end.
-His expirience aboard the ship leaves him very shaken, but he still refuses to speak or listen to Daphnes unless necessary.
-When Wind gets appointed as the new Hero Spirit before descending to Hyrule again, Wind no longer feels as excited as he thought he would be in that moment.
-When Daphnes wishes for Hyrule to be drowned, part of him wants to come with Wind to keep raising his boy, if he'll have him. But the other is too weighted down by regret over failing his kingdom before and his son in the present.
-To this day, Wind is still guilt-ridden over saying Daphnes never cared for him. He'd give anything to be able to take it back.
-Wind is very much aware that Daphnes put him and his loved ones in danger and he's conflicted on why he chose to stay to drown. But he can't find it in him to stop missing the King or loving him.

Fic Prompts: Free Day Thursday
Featuring: Wind Waker and Gerudo translations from here
*"You...look different, little captain."
Ganondorf couldn't help cringing just a little. The guise of Princess Zelda ill-fitted the pirate.
"I can't see my face, but my arms are the wrong color. How bad is it?" Tetra demanded, "What did that ghost creep do with my sword?"
She truly did not understand who he was, then. What he represented. To her, Ganondorf was merely an antagonist she'd run across, but not a serious nemesis. It would have been insulting if it weren't so amusing.
"He has made you into the likeness of his departed daughter, your ancestor," Ganondorf said bluntly. "Anything that does not fit that role has likely been discarded."
Tetra was furious. "Dorta Hailiya voe!" she shrieked, "Sa'deva!"
In flawless Gerudo.
Ganondorf had not anticipated this. Who had taught the sailor's brat Gerudo? He was the last of his people, was he not? The dark lord drew back a step and pondered this unpleasant surprise. Perhaps the Sheikah still lived. After all the generations of Gerudo they'd killed in the days before his birth, Ganondorf wouldn't have been surprised if some of them picked up the language for espionage. That added insult to injury, then.
Ganondorf drew himself up to his full height and glared down at the would-be princess. "Who taught you those words?"
Still fuming, the child paced back and forth. After a moment, she ripped off the long gloves and threw them down to be trampled. "These are not my clothes," she growled, "this is not my skin. These are not my weapons. A'ni yaigeru'orq!"
I am of the Traveling Women.
Ganondorf knew where those words had come from. Could a descendant of his ancient enemies really share kin with his people? Was it possible that the blood of one of his many daughters flowed through the little pirate's veins? The sorcerer stroked his beard and frowned. Then, he decided that it couldn't hurt anything but the king of Hyrule to see how far the girl's knowledge went.
"A'ni Ganoendorf, de'shert Gerudo," he introduced himself, "I am Ganondorf, of the Desert People of the Spear."
This halted the girl in her tracks. She craned her neck to stare up at him. After a long few seconds, she stammered, "The- the desert? It's been underwater for-"
"Generations," Ganondorf finished. His frown deepened. "I survived. As did others of my clan, obviously, if these yaigeru'orq taught you to speak our words."
Tetra's eyes widened. "Whoa! How old are you?!" She didn't wait for an answer. "You're like, ancient! A vo'baani! Hey, Vo'baani, what's your deal with Link? Sure, he's kind of a goody two-shoes, but he's just a kid!"
She planted her fists on her hips. "You don't have to make things so rough for him all the time! He's got enough trouble with that dumb talking boat Hailiyadorf that keeps dragging him into hero business."
Ganondorf couldn't be certain, but he thought he felt his right eye twitch, just a little.

Late for the Update people Update!: Moving Forward part 3
Just some guy Link from Ordon village! Love how Warriors has so much ammunition to shot against Twilight at this point. Jojo is feeding him so well.
Honorable mentions! Ezlo and The King of Red Lions aka Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule!
(Ezlo is your companion character in Minish
The King of Red Lions is you companion character in Wind Waker)
Honorable mention two! Sheik!!!
(Sheik aka Princess Zelda from Ocarina of Time and Hyrule Warriors!)
He looks so sad, give Sky his head pat and tell him he did a good job!
The emotions!!! Winds openness to Twilight being Wolfie muss mean so much to Twilight.
Fours worried, hopefully this two will talk about this in future chapters!
At this point I believe Hyrule just got close to Legend to annoy him. Full on disrespect, not only here, but also when he didn’t let Legend finish his sentence in Dawn pt 5
This is probably the happiest he was ever greeted as a wolf, just to get bullied by Wars. Man will never get peace.
Till we meet again hahahaHa!

Echoes has been out for a few days, so hopefully this is not too spoilery for anyone!
Say Ganondorf gets his hands on the tri rod. What is each of his iterations making echoes of? Can be restricted to Echoes itself or borrow from other games.
I already love the game. Currently going around the map and just filling out the map before doing main gameplay.
>_> The Demon King with the Tri Rod would be a menace. They don't really understand that there is a power limit, so lets pretend that the Tri Rod doesnt have a limit and it uses one triangle per summon... which would be bad in the hands in the Demon King.
************************************************************************
The idea of the Ganondorfs and Demise wielding the Tri-Rod and creating echoes of creatures or objects is fascinating! Each Ganondorf and Demise would use this powerful artifact differently, drawing on their unique personalities, strategies, and desires. Here’s how each one might approach using the Tri-Rod:
Wind Waker Ganondorf (Wake):
Wake is thoughtful, strategic, and melancholic, often reflecting on the past and his vision of ruling Hyrule. He’d likely use the Tri-Rod with careful precision, selecting echoes that serve his ultimate goal of regaining power and reshaping the kingdom.
Echoes He’d Create:
Echo of Hyrule Castle: Wake would create an echo of Hyrule Castle in its prime as a symbol of what he intends to conquer and rebuild. He’d use it as a personal reminder of his vision and ambition.
Echo of Zelda (Tetra): Wake might create an echo of his nemesis, Princess Zelda, to practice strategies or simply to understand her better.
Echo of the King of Red Lions: Though he wouldn’t admit it, Wake respects the King of Hyrule (Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule). Creating an echo of him would allow Wake to replay their discussions or debates, strengthening his resolve.
Echo of a Sea Monster: Given the world of Wind Waker, Wake might summon sea monsters to guard his hidden fortress or terrorize ships in the Great Sea.
Echo of Phantom Ganon: As a recurring foe in Wind Waker, creating an echo of Phantom Ganon would provide Wake with a powerful servant.
Echo of an Ancient Zonai Artifact: Wake is aware of the Zonai ruins scattered across islands, and creating an echo of one of their ancient artifacts might give him deeper insight into unlocking more forbidden powers.
Purpose: Wake would use the echoes to build a tactical advantage, preparing himself for the day when he can finally reclaim Hyrule from beneath the waves. His method would be thoughtful and aimed at long-term success.
Ocarina of Time Ganondorf (Bandit):
Bandit, being fiery and power-hungry, would use the Tri-Rod more aggressively and opportunistically. His echoes would be focused on overwhelming his enemies and asserting dominance.
Echoes He’d Create:
Echo of Link (Hero of Time): Bandit would create an echo of his greatest enemy, the Hero of Time, to duel and defeat over and over. It would feed his desire for vengeance.
Echo of Gohma: He’d summon echoes of bosses from his trials, like Gohma, to unleash on his enemies or reinforce his fortress.
Echo of Gerudo Warriors: Bandit would make echoes of his strongest Gerudo warriors to bolster his army, increasing his already fearsome forces.
Echo of the Triforce: Though only an echo, the sight of the Triforce would fill him with pride and motivation, a reminder of the ultimate power he seeks.
Echo of Volvagia: Bandit, having defeated the fire dragon of Death Mountain, would create an echo of Volvagia as a pet and weapon of destruction.
Echo of his Horse (Phantom Steed): Bandit loves his steed, and having multiple copies of it would allow him to charge into battle with relentless fury from every angle.
Purpose: Bandit would revel in creating echoes to overwhelm his enemies and feed his ego. His echoes would be tools of domination, designed to make him feel unstoppable and superior.
Twilight Princess Ganondorf (Noctis):
Noctis, the most cold and calculating of the Ganondorfs, would approach the Tri-Rod with careful, tactical precision. His echoes would reflect his mastery of strategy and manipulation, enhancing his power in subtle but dangerous ways.
Echoes He’d Create:
Echo of Zant: Noctis would create an echo of his former pawn, Zant, to use as a strategist and servant. The echo would allow him to reflect on past mistakes and control future schemes.
Echo of Dark Creatures: He would summon echoes of dark creatures from the Twilight Realm, sending them to scout or terrorize villages.
Echo of the Mirror of Twilight: Noctis might create an echo of the Mirror of Twilight to study it further, seeking ways to harness its powers for his own gain.
Echo of the Hylian Royal Guard: He’d create echoes of Hyrule’s royal guards to test their defenses and seek out weaknesses in their battle formations.
Echo of Wolf Link and Midna: Noctis would study the Hero and his companion through their echoes, learning from them and exploiting their weaknesses.
Echo of Ganon (Beast Form): Noctis, having experienced his transformation into Ganon, would summon an echo of his beast form to command and control as a symbol of his inner power.
Purpose: Noctis would create echoes to sharpen his mind and increase his understanding of those around him. Every echo would serve a purpose in his grand strategy to overthrow Hyrule and enslave the Twilight Realm once again.
Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf (Hedony):
Hedony, the grand and theatrical Ganondorf, would use the Tri-Rod to create echoes for spectacle, power, and intimidation. He would enjoy putting on a grand show of strength and using the echoes to command attention.
Echoes He’d Create:
Echo of the Great Fairy: Hedony would summon an echo of the Great Fairy, whose immense size and power would entertain and awe him, providing magical assistance.
Echo of Ghirahim: As one of his closest allies, an echo of Ghirahim would be both amusing and useful for creating chaos and destruction.
Echo of Giant Monsters: Hedony would summon echoes of massive monsters like King Dodongo or Argorok to serve as his personal army, marching them across the battlefield.
Echo of the Hylian Soldiers: He’d create echoes of Hylian soldiers to face off against in mock battles, using them as cannon fodder for his pleasure.
Echo of the Dark Forces: He’d summon echoes of his dark armies to bolster his ranks and make an overwhelming display of power.
Echo of the Triforce of Power: Though he already holds the real Triforce of Power, creating an echo of it would be a dramatic and intimidating way to assert his dominance.
Purpose: Hedony would use the echoes to create a grand spectacle, feeding his ego and relishing in the display of power. Each echo would add to his sense of drama and grandeur, enhancing his theatrical persona.
Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf (Vendettas):
Vendettas, the brooding and most dangerous version of Ganondorf, would use the Tri-Rod for total domination and revenge. His echoes would reflect his dark desires to subjugate all life and spread fear throughout Hyrule.
Echoes He’d Create:
Echo of Rauru (Zonai King): Vendettas would create an echo of the Zonai king Rauru, whose defeat would bring him great satisfaction. It would be a chance to rewrite the past in his favor.
Echo of Zelda (Sage Form): An echo of the Sage version of Zelda would give him someone to torment and control, feeding his desire for revenge against the royal family.
Echo of the Demon King (Demise): Vendettas would summon an echo of Demise himself, aligning his ambition with the original Dark Lord and using the power of his legacy.
Echo of Phantom Ganon: He would create echoes of Phantom Ganon to serve as his personal army of terror, sending them to attack villages and spread fear.
Echo of Gloom Hands: Vendettas would use the Tri-Rod to summon echoes of Gloom Hands, spreading corruption and decay across the land.
Echo of Ganondorf (Sealed): Vendettas might create an echo of himself in his sealed form, a symbolic gesture that allows him to confront and destroy his own imprisoned past, asserting his complete freedom from the Zonai seal.
Purpose: Vendettas would use the echoes to reinforce his rule through fear and domination. Every echo would serve his dark ambition to conquer and corrupt Hyrule entirely.
Demise:
Demise, the primal force of destruction and hatred, would use the Tri-Rod to amplify his already immense power. His echoes would reflect his desire to destroy everything and assert his dominance as the ultimate evil.
Echoes He’d Create:
Echo of the Imprisoned: Demise would summon an echo of his monstrous form, the Imprisoned, to crush all who stand in his way.
Echo of Ghirahim: Demise would create an echo of his loyal servant Ghirahim, enjoying the chaos he would unleash.
Echo of the Sacred Realm: He’d create an echo of the Sacred Realm, a distorted version under his control, as a mockery of the gods.
Echo of Fi: As a counterpart to Ghirahim, Demise might create an echo of Fi to study his enemy’s spirit more closely, seeking ways to exploit her.
Echo of the Triforce: Demise would summon an echo of the Triforce to remind himself of the ultimate power he seeks to control and destroy.
Echo of the Hero (Link): Demise would create an echo of the Hero himself, using it as a constant challenge to test his own strength and feed his hatred for the goddess's chosen.
Purpose: Demise would use echoes to assert his dominance over all creation, unleashing chaos and destruction on an epic scale. His echoes would serve as tools of devastation, fueling his unending hatred for the gods and their champions.
Each of these characters would use the Tri-Rod to reflect their personality and ambitions, creating echoes that serve their desires for power, revenge, or conquest in unique ways.

Location name references in Breath of the Wild
A year or so ago, I went through the location names in Breath of the Wild and tried to find out which names reference previous things from the series. The following is an overview of everything I was able to find back then. Will be taking this region by region and adding some observations where relevant. I also think most of these names are the same in Tears of the Kingdom but I know at least a few changed, so all of this may not apply to that game. Of note is also that I am leaving out the more obvious ones like Gerudo Desert, Lake Hylia, Death Mountain and the Lost Woods as these tend to be well-known. This focuses on the slightly more obscure ones.
I do want to point out one major one though: the Hebra Region (ヘブラ地方). This is actually a reference to A Link to the Past, A Link Between Worlds and Four Swords Adventures. In the former two, the main name of Death Mountain in the Japanese version is ヘブラ山 or Hebra Mountain. In Four Swords Adventures meanwhile, there is a minor region on Death Mountain called Hebra's Hill (ヘブラの丘). But let's get into the more minor references.
Gerudo Region
Arbiter's Grounds = Arbiter's Grounds from Twilight Princess
Spectacle Rock = Spectacle Rock from The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II and A Link to the Past. Many similar locations, sometimes with similar names, have also appeared throughout the series.
Koukot Plateau = the names of Koume and Kotake, who together make up Twinrova, smashed together. They appear in Ocarina of Time, the Oracle games and the memories in Tears of the Kingdom.
Mount Nabooru = Nabooru from Ocarina of Time and Nabooru Town from Zelda II.
Yarna Valley = Yarna Desert from Link's Awakening.
East Gerudo Mesa = Gerudo Mesa from Twilight Princess.
Overall, this region has few references, mostly centered around deserts and the Gerudo people. The only odd one out is Spectacle Rock, which is usually located in the north of Hyrule on Death Mountain.
South of Lake Hylia
Parache Plains (テトラ平原/Tetra Plains) = Tetra (テトラ/Tetra)
Faron region
Lake Floria/Floria River/Floria Bridge/Floria Falls = Lake Floria from Skyward Sword.
Martha's Landing = Martha's Bay from Link's Awakening.
Tuft Mountain = King Tuft from Tri Force Heroes.
Toronbo Beach = Toronbo Shores from Link's Awakening.
Koholit Rock = Koholint Island from Link's Awakening.
There is no real theme here, aside from the locations on Eventide Island referencing Link's Awakening, as the whole island is a reference to that game. This region also contains the only reference in Breath of the Wild to Tri Force Heroes.
Great Plateau and southwestern Hyrule Field
Digdogg Suspension Bridge = Digdogger from The Legend of Zelda and Oracle of Seasons.
Manhalna Bridge = Manhandla from The Legend of Zelda, Oracle of Seasons and Four Swords Adventures.
Gleeok Bridge = Gleeok from The Legend of Zelda, Oracle of Seasons, Phantom Hourglass and Tears of the Kingdom.
Aquame Bridge = Aquamentus from The Legend of Zelda and Oracle of Seasons.
Mount Daphnes = King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule from The Wind Waker.
Lake Kolomo/Kolomo Garrison Ruins = the Lokomo from Spirit Tracks.
Forest of Time = Forest of Time from Oracle of Ages.
Temple of Time = Temple of Time from Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. The appearance of the structure most closely resembles the Ocarina of Time incarnation.
The bridges here are named after bosses from the first Zelda games, which is a running theme with the bridges around Hyrule Field. The other bridges are named after bosses from the other NES Zelda game, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, however.
Kakariko Village and Southeastern Hyrule Field
Proxim Bridge (モヨリ橋/Moyori Bridge) = Aboda Village (モヨリ村/Moyori Village) from Spirit Tracks.
Owlan Bridge = Owlan from Skyward Sword.
Horwell Bridge = Horwell from Skyward Sword.
Eagus Bridge = Eagus from Skyward Sword.
Batrea Lake = Batreaux from Skyward Sword.
Nabi Lake = Navi from Ocarina of Time.
Mable Ridge = Maple from the Oracle games and A Link to the Past (GBA).
Sahasra Slope = Sahasrahla from A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds.
Telta Lake = Tatl from Majora's Mask.
Lake Siela = Ciela from Phantom Hourglass.
Pillars of Levia = Levias from Skyward Sword.
Bonooru's Stand = Bonooru from Ocarina of Time.
Pierre Plateau = Pierre from Ocarina of Time and (maybe) Majora's Mask.
The island in the southeast of Hyrule Field is centered around Skyward Sword references, while the area around Kakariko Village contains references to helpful characters from throughout the series: companions and friendly NPCs. If I had to hazard a guess, this is a general reference to the Sheikah's and Impa's supporting roles throughout the series, as Kakariko Village is their home in Breath of the Wild.
Tabantha and Hyrule Ridge
Kolami Bridge = Komali from The Wind Waker.
Seres Scablands = Seres from A Link Between Worlds.
Breach of Demise = Demise from Skyward Sword.
This region contains relatively few references. This is of note because there is only one reference made to the Rito from The Wind Waker, which makes sense considering the Rito live in Tabantha in Breath of the Wild. However, there were a lot of named Rito that appeared in The Wind Waker and only one is referenced in Breath of the Wild. This is especially notable as there are a lot of references to individual Zoras, Koroks/Kokiri and Gorons in other regions of the map.
Northern Hyrule Field
Carok Bridge = Carock from Zelda II.
Helmhead Bridge = Helmethead from Zelda II.
Rebonae Bridge = Rebonack from Zelda II.
Orsedd Bridge = Horsehead from Zelda II.
Mount Gustaf = King Gustaf from The Minish Cap.
Mabe Village Ruins/Mabe Prairie = Mabe Village from Link's Awakening.
Romani Plains = Romani and Romani Ranch from Majora's Mask.
Rauru Settlement Ruins/Rauru Hillside = Rauru from Ocarina of Time and Tears of the Kingdom and Rauru Town from Zelda II.
Crenell Hills/Crenel Peak = Mt. Crenel from The Minish Cap.
Thims Bridge = Smith from The Minish Cap.
Minshi Woods = Minish Woods from The Minish Cap.
Pico Pond = the Picori from The Minish Cap.
Trilby Plain = Trilby Highlands from The Minish Cap.
Here we see the rest of the bridges that reference the NES games. The eastern island and area further to the northeast in general contain many references to The Minish Cap (not pictured here is also the Trilby Valley that also references that game). Mount Gustaf to the west meanwhile is one of three mountains that references a king of Hyrule: we also have Mount Daphnes mentioned earlier and Mount Rhoam in Hyrule Ridge, which of course references king Rhoam from Breath of the Wild itself. Finally, the places named after Rauru could be named after the sage from Ocarina of Time, but it is also possible they reference the first king of Hyrule from Tears of the Kingdom. It depends on how much of Tears of the Kingdom's story was conceptualized when Breath of the Wild first released.
Lanayru Region
Trilby Valley = Trilby Highlands from The Minish Cap.
Zauz Island = Zauz from Phantom Hourglass.
Linebeck Island = Linebeck from Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.
Mercay Island = Mercay Island from Phantom Hourglass.
Molida Island = Molida Island from Phantom Hourglass.
Bannan Island = Bannan Island from Phantom Hourglass.
Goponga Island/Goponga Village RUins = Goponga Swamp from Link's Awakening.
Inogo Bridge = The Indigo-Go's from Majora's Mask.
Tabahl Woods = Tabahl Wasteland from Link's Awakening.
Zodobon Highlands = King Zora de Bon XIV from Ocarina of Time.
Oren Bridge = Oren from A Link Between Worlds.
Ralis Pond = Prince Ralis from Twilight Princess.
Luto's Crossing = Laruto from The Wind Waker.
Rutala River/Rutala Dam = Queen Rutela from Twilight Princess.
Ruto Mountain/Ruto Lake/Ruto Precipice = Princess Ruto from Ocarina of Time and Ruto Town from Zelda II.
Toto Lake = Toto from Majora's Mask.
Mikau Lake = Mikau from Majora's Mask.
Lulu Lake = Lulu from Majora's Mask.
Ja'Abu Ridge = Lord Jabu-Jabu from Ocarina of Time and Oracle of Ages.
Veiled Falls = Veil Falls from The Minish Cap.
Lanayru has a pretty clear division, with the western Wetlands mostly referencing Phantom Hourglass and the eastern Great Spring containing many references to Zoras and characters relating to the Zoras. We also see a few stray references to Link's Awakening and Veil Falls from The Minish Cap. This is notable because in that game, Veil Falls act as the source of Hyrule's water, which is also often the case for Zora's Domain whenever it appears in the series (and so too in Breath of the Wild).
Lanayru Bay
Samasa Plain = Samasa Desert from Oracle of Seasons.
Brynna Plain = Labrynna from Oracle of Ages.
Horon Lagoon = Horon Village from Oracle of Seasons.
Talus Plateau (トロイワ高原/Toroiwa Plateau) = Talus Peaks (トロイワ山地/Toroiwa Mountains) from Oracle of Ages.
Lodrum Headland = Holodrum form Oracle of Seasons.
Tarm Point = Tarm Ruins from Oracle of Seasons.
Wintre Island = Woods of Winter from Oracle of Seasons.
Spool Bight = Spool Swamp from Oracle of Seasons.
Tal Tal Peak = Tal Tal Peaks from Link's Awakening.
The area around Lanayru Bay is a hotspot for references to the two Oracle games. The stray reference to Link's Awakening (DX) also fits this theme, with it being the other Zelda game for the Game Boy Color, as well as the other Link's Awakening references in Lanayru in general.
Great Hyrule Forest
Upland Lindor/Lindor's Brow = Linder from The Wind Waker.
Irch Plain = Irch from The Wind Waker.
Rowan Plain = Rown from The Wind Waker.
Elma Knolls = Elma from The Wind Waker.
Aldor Foothills = Aldo from The Wind Waker.
Mount Drena/Drenan Highlands = Drona from The Wind Waker.
Lake Mekar/Mekar Island = Makar from The Wind Waker.
Lake Saria = Saria from Ocarina of Time and Saria Town from Zelda II.
Mido Swamp = Mido from Ocarina of Time and Mido Town from Zelda II.
Lots of references to Koroks and Kokiri, which makes sense as the Koroks live in this area in Breath of the Wild.
Eldin Region (a.k.a. Death Mountain)
Lake Darman = Darmani from Majora's Mask.
Darunia Lake = Darunia from Ocarina of Time and Darunia Town from Zelda II.
Gorko Lake/Gorko Tunnel = Gorko from Skyward Sword.
Gortram Cliff = Gortram from Skyward Sword.
Darb Pond = Darbus from Twilight Princess.
Medingo Pool = Medigoron from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
Gero Pond = Don Gero's Mask from Majora's Mask.
Lots of references to Gorons, as the Gorons live here in Breath of the Wild. Don Gero's Mask is probably here because it is initially worn by a Goron in Majora's Mask.
Akkala Region
Kanalet Ridge = Kanalet Castle from Link's Awakening.
Ulri Mountain/Ulria Grotto = Old Man Ulrira from Link's Awakening.
Torin Wetland = Tarin from Link's Awakening.
Malin Bay = Marin from Link's Awakening.
Ukuku Plains = Ukuku Prairie from Link's Awakening.
Kaepora Pass = Kaepora Gaebora from Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Four Swords Adventures.
Tingel Island = Tingle, who appears in a lot of Zelda games.
Ankel Island = Ankle from The Wind Waker, Four Swords Adventures and The Minish Cap.
Knuckel Island = Knuckle from The Wind Waker, Four Swords Adventures and The Minish Cap.
Davdi Island = David Jr. from The Wind Waker, Four Swords Adventures and The Minish Cap.
Akkala is a cluster for Link's Awakening references, with the reference to Kaepora Gaebora likely also tying into this. That owl's spiritual predecessor, simply called the Owl, namely appeared in Link's Awakening. The islands of off Akkala's coast meanwhile are named after the four Tingle brothers.
