Shen Yuan is two things:

He couldn’t count on both hands the number of health scares he’s had, but he fought years to move out of his parents house and live independently!

…. Until he was found half dead by his sister and nearly died in the hospital. No one even knew until she showed up.

The smart thing- the thing his parents want- would be to sell his apartment and move back in so his family can watch him. But frankly, Shen Yuan was reaching the end of his 20s. He didn’t want to be 30 in his parents home being scolded for buying yet another anime figurine and fussed over all hours of the day by nannies.

So, like the adults they were, they compromised. Shen Yuan could live independently IF he put together a complete staff of live in specialists to help him. He had a few months to do so, and all had to be thoroughly background checked.

Which is how he ended up with an old estate filled with specialists who all bore striking resemblances to the cast of Proud Immortal Demon Way.

(SY endears himself over the course of months to the entire modern cast of svsss and collects them to live with him and be generously financially supported. Additionally he finally tracks down the hack author of PIDW and keeps him as well, taking away the financial strain so PIDW can achieve its true potential as art.)

people love to act like tim and kon were constantly at each other's throats in yj98, as if they didn't largely settle down within the first ten issues and as if the worst of ""kon"" antagonizing tim wasn't actually match. like, even after their big fight on apokolips, we literally see kon regretting that he didn't listen to robin (sb94 #92), wondering how to reach out to him and apologize even though he still is upset that tim hasn't shared his identity (yj98 #38), and instantly welcoming tim back to the team after "world without young justice" (yj98 #46), where they hold hands after kon's all like hehe i know your name now, TIM. hehe! and then tim stands there nodding while kon (age 1) tells poor ray (age 19) that he's a fossil and can leave now. like. be serious. tim and kon get along great. they're just menaces to the rest of the world, together.

taco from inanimate insanity but instead of snapping at the end of season one she actually kept up her persona so she could live in hotel oj. it's alright at first, but she's so fed up with acting dumb that it's really hard for her to stay in character and it starts to stress her out. one day taco gets sick or smth. she sneezes and lets out the most british "BLOODY HELL." ever. it's so weirdly out of character but in character at the same time that it's not even questioned beyond a simple "what" so taco was just able to live the rest of her life in hotel oj with her actual personality without needing to explain anything
