Handbook for the recently deceased (MIGHT require Seasons? It shouldn't since I messed with the mesh and stuff but if you don't have that pack and it doesn't show up in your game let me know. 2 swatches for English and simlish. Found in 'activities and skills')

Striped wallpaper (10 swatches! I kind of went overboard. Found in 'wallpapers'... duh)

Striped chair (5 swatches, found in 'comfort'. Again this shouldn't require anything else if I edited the mesh properly, but it's possible this might require Cottage Living if I screwed up.)

NOTE: If you are planning on making Lydia, I would reccomend using this in conjunction with the base game 'gloomy' trait. When making this trait I didn't want to just replicate Lydia's personality exactly since I wanted this to be a trait you could use on any sim, and I didn't want to make it too similar to the 'gloomy' or 'paranoid' traits.

Immune to death! Since they're already a ghost and all that

Faster at training mischief and medium (from paranormal stuff) skills, slower at training charisma

Social need decays fast, hygiene need decays REALLY fast

Positive reaction to being dirty or in a dirty environment (including the fixer-upper apartments in city living! Receives energised moodlet upon spotting roaches and inspired moodlet with the unexplained smell)

Other sims will notice a gross smell around them...

Cats and dogs are scared of them (could not figure out how to do the same with horses, sorry)

Clearing his throat you finally let go letting out a nervous laugh as you step back. His voice was smooth as the words he spoke rolled off his tongue. “I’m really sorry about spilling your coffee. Let me make it up to you.”

You could barely hear him above the heartbeat in your ears as he spoke up again. “How about another coffee? You free Sunday?” 

It took you a second to process his words “Uh- yea, yea Sunday works.” Stuttering was not how you wanted to respond.

A faint blush crossed over your face as he smiled back. “Great, Let’s meet down at the cafe at 9?” His statement was more of a question: a confirmation.

“Okay, 9 works great.”

“Great.”

“Great.” Leon chuckled and walked off as you awkwardly waved him goodbye.

Turning back you smacked your head a few times calling yourself stupid. “Great? Who the fuck says that.” Letting out a sigh you walked back to your small apartment.

Stars scattered the night sky as soft music played through Leon’s Jeep speakers. His arm wrapped around your sent shock waves through your body as he rubbed his thumb back and forth. Your head laid over his beating heart as you guys lay in the back of his car, star gazing.

“That there,” He pointed to a cluster of stars. “Is the Cassiopeia constellations.” Leon’s heartbeat was steady as his voice reverberated through his chest.

“It’s also called the ‘W’ constellation because well, it’s shaped like a ‘W’.” He let out a small laugh before he continued. “She was friends with Aphrodite and was the goddess of Fantasy and of seas. She was a queen, a very confident one at that. She would go on and on about how her daughter Andromeda was more beautiful than the sea nymphs known as Nereids.” 

His soft voice eased into your body putting you at ease as he went on. “Poseidon, the Greek God of the sea wasn’t very happy.”

“Aren’t sea nymphs bad though?” Your question caught Leon off guard. He wasn’t expecting you to be listening to his rambles.

“They are vengeful creatures. After Cassiopeia claimed her daughter's beauty was unmatched they felt insulted; hurt. So in return, they became vain creatures.” You hummed in understanding.

“Eventually, they went ravaging her kingdom, soon sending her to the stars.”

Leon’s hand smoothed over your leg as you sat in the back of his Jeep once again. Sitting in the trunk Leon sat at the edge swinging a leg outside of the car while you sat across from him, stretched out. The faint sounds of crickets talking filled the silence.

“Look,” Pointing at the sky you let out a big smile. “A shooting star.” Leon followed where you pointed in awe.

Looking back at him you felt all giddy. “What did you wish for?” Leon slowly brought his attention back to you.

His blue eyes shimmered in the midnight sky, the stars reflections looking right back at you. Letting a boyish smile through a faint blush painted his cheeks.

“You.”

Eyes squeezed shut a single tear ran down the side of your face. Trying his best to comfort you Leon opened your hands to hold them through it all, giving it three squeezes.

I love you. Opening you’re eyes you’re met with Leon looking back down at you with a smile. “There you are.”

Leaning down he placed his soft lips against yours, bringing you down from the stars.

He’s been in this depressive hole every since he came back from Raccoon City and survived the incident. There was nothing more that Leon wanted to do then stay in bed with you, holding you. He was tired, so so tired. 

Sitting down on the edge of the bed you rubbed his leg through the comforter hoping to bring any sort of relief to the hell he’s lived thorough; even if it was small. You frowned at his lack of response. 

All you wanted was Leon back.

Not his old self at least.

I’m slowly watching him fade away.

The only part that keeps him here is the metal wrapped around my finger.

“You’re home?” Quickly you closed your tattered-up leather notebook and stood up.

Leon hesitianly hugged you back before his voice vibrated between your bodies. “What’s in that notebook? I always see you with it.” 

Eyes wide you pull back from the hug. “Nothing of importance.” You laughed nervously.

“Seriously love, it seems important. You keep that thing with you at all times, always writing in it.” He walked over to where you threw the book on the coffee table. “Ever since college.” He leaned down slightly to pick it up.

Rushing over to him you tried to grab the notebook but it was too late.

Heyaa, it's me again lol just wanted to give my opinion on this of it's Okey :)

Gender is a pretty complex thing so my opinion may (and probably will) differ from others xD but personally i would tell you to choose based on what masculinity means to Rune. By that I mean not only the way they sees themself but also how he relates and interacts with the world around their own view of masculinity and gender. Personally i do think there isn't much representation of demi boy in ifs, generally people go for they them (nothing wrong with that obviously) but it can also be a bit complex trying to represent a non-binary person who still feels represented by certain biases of a specific binary gender

Also! I said demi-boy but it could also totally be another kind of polygender as genderfluid, so this should be another thing to have in mind when building their idea of gender.

Another idea you could go by could be they (or he) doesn't really know, I mean, how old are they? I doubt they are older than our bro and he is 16 iirc. With 15 yo or less no one really knows themselves well enough and in a world without the fastest exchange of information like ours thanks to the internet, I don't know if they have a lot of sources about gender. You can start playing with that to start a lil character development of them even that could be part of the relationship with them (romantic or platonic, like MC being someone from our world should know a bit more about gender and identity, so they could help a bit).

If you want my personal opinion, I would like to continue seeing them as a he/them, I don't really saw a lot of ifs with this kind of representation but if you choose other thing it's totally fine (at least for with me xD) too

Hey! And of course your opinion is welcome - I did ask for it. (I'm also always open to hearing other point of views, especially on topics which aren't exactly easy. There are a lot of experiences that I simply don't have and a lot where my experience isn't universal so hearing other angles is always helpful.)

You've made some excellent points and gave me some good questions to consider. It definitely helps. :)

I slept on those questions and did some trawling through reddits and blogs of people talking about their own experiences with gender.

Honestly, Rune's relationship with masculinity is rather similar to the one I have with feminity. Which tells me that the right answer for him is "he/they" - because the right answer for me and my 'sure, that's mostly right but it's at an angle and a tad wonky and a step to the side' is "she/they". They're a little closer to "they" on the gender spectrum but not so close that tossing "he" out feels right to their character.

So, I think I'll go back to Rune using both pronouns after all. And go check how other authors initialized their players using multiple pronoun sets too. Difficulty is no reason to not program this stuff in, and better to add it now so it's built in than have to try tackle it later.

1. What is your s/i's name & pronouns?

His full name is Sean Kastle, his callsign is Psycho, which nowadays frequently is shortened to Psy cause people picked up that it was kinda rude to just call him Psycho (tho he personally doesn't mind it much) and his pronouns are he/him (and sometimes it/its) !

His family name wasn't always Kastle, it used to be Strauß before his parents changed it to something more english sounding

His birth name was Felicitas but he changed that once he transitioned

2. How similar is your s/i to you? Are they a carbon copy, completely different or a mix of the two?

Well I try to keep a vibe of me-ness around him but he's largely a cooler version of me! And of course there's some adjustments to make him make sense with the canon he's injected into.

He's not me-me, but more like a persona!

3. Does your s/i have a full backstory yet? Or is it still in the works? If it's done can we see it?

His backstory is slowly evolving itself! There's some general cornerstones I'm set on, and a few pretty specific scenes, but I like to keep my mind open for more things to emerge.

I keep putting out lil details I come up with on here but maybe I should make some sort of post summing it all up at some point 🤔

But until I've figured out more I don't wanna post too much about it, because I'm still at a point where everything is super wonky ^^"

4. How did your s/i feel when they first met your f/o(s)? How do they feel about them now?

Goose + Mav: The very first time they saw each other (didn't interact at that point tho) Psy purposely spilt beer on another aviator's uniform and called him a bootlicker. So you know... none of them were really impressed by each other...

Obviously that changed over time. Goose is sort of Psy's hero, and there's no one he gets excited more to see than Goose.

And Mav is now someone that Psy genuinely respects. He's more of a person to him now, rather than the stupid pretty boy at the bar who deserves the worst. That doesn't change that Psy still holds onto that pretty boy part tho... Mav is one of his closest friends, his boyfriend, and someone worthy of love, and protection, because Psy still doesn't trust him 100% to be risk aware.

Rooster: They were friends from day one! Rooster approached him right on, and for the longest time he was Psy's only safe space.

Now that they're dating, they're just even closer! Psy's totally and absolutely in love with him :)

7. Give us 3 random facts abt your s/i!

Psy needs glasses but he started wearing contact lenses pretty early on into his transition

He's minimally shorter than Mav!

He's pretty touch repulsed actually and it took him a while to adjust to his partners

Absolutely! He's very much a "gender euphoria sona" if you will :)

14. Does your s/i get jealous easily?

YEP Generally he's fine as long as he can be sure he's relatively up high on his partners' priorities and could get there attention if he really needed it, but sometimes it does lash out into very destructive measures tho where even others mention as much as a partner's name will send him spiraling

Izirius Valantrim’s backstory.

“For nigh 390 years have I been in service of our great overlord, Talantir. At 20 years of age and after the completion of my studies at the Elysian University of Kal Shaatar I was recruited into the militant Order of the Watchkeeper due to my excellence in the study of religion. These Devine champions aided the peoples of Vroles in many a war against the Ceadrall scourge, boosting allied morale wherever they went.

However these years were terrible for we saw not only the vile deeds and crimes of the Ceadrall invaders, we saw also the despicable side of the Vrolesians. We were involuntarily witness to wanton pillaging and looting and what's more, we slayed countless men we thought allies. In due time the conflict grew in heinousness such that we, the Order of the Watchkeeper, were ordered to withdraw whence we came from. Upon our return to our incomparable and towering Temple-City of Kal Shaatar we were welcomed with cheer and festivities though we felt no joy nor content. It seemed, though, we weren't alone in our sadness and anger for the Great Consul of the Holy Temple of Talantir ordered our great gates shut and ushered in our era of isolation.

It was during this era that the Acolytes of Talantir were founded. Our patron, Elder-Acolyte Ebkeziam Ullioth, founded this new order out of pity for our Vrolesian brethren. Though none of us Kal Shaatarii are of any Vrolesian blood and we indeed spring from the woodland realms of Nocoth, we shed those ties long ago and fully consider ourselves fellow Vrolesians. Thus it was that Ebkeziam Ullioth felt it was not only his, but our duty to free our former Vrolesian friends from their own cruelty and mend their mental, esoteric and physical wounds and scars. He disavowed the isolationist policy of the Great Consul and openly preached in favor of the opening of the gates.

Officially the Acolytes of Talantir stayed put in Kal Shaatar and did nought but prepare for the inevitable opening of the gates. However Ullioth soon stealthily led the first Acolyte advance parties through the secret passages of the northern wall into Vrolesian territories. They ventured far and wide and prepared neighboring settlements for the forthcoming of the Acolytes of Talantir. They worked tirelessly for years upon years, rekindling lost friendships, mending withered alliances and proselytizing the ways of Talantir.

It was, of course, the cataclysmic event of the weavebreak which brought about the end of the Kal Shaatari Isolationism. The utter chaos and extreme damage this apocalypse wrought shattered all contempt we yet felt towards the cruelty witnessed all those years past. It was indeed Ebkeziam Ullioth whom first proclaimed our aid was needed by those less fortunate than us. "We have been spared", he had said, "Talantir has not left his watch over us! Let us now take watch over our less fortunate friends!". It was then that he revealed his previously concealed works. Ullioth entrusted the Council of Devine Consuls with the dire requests for aid he had received through his dear Acolytes and pleaded with them to assist the peoples he had grown to love and trust. Though the council, and Great Consul Ulmith Pal-Resmin specifically, were not in the slightest amused by what they saw as Ullioth his scheming, they unanimously agreed the era of isolation had past into the era of return.

With great haste was the hurry in which we reopened our gates. Plans were made and it was with all speed that our engineers drew up the plans for the Glistening Refuge of Kal Linios beyond our graceful western wall. Some of us wished for the refugees to be aided inside our angelic Temple-City however our ancient traditions allows us still only to welcome those of High-Elven blood inside. Though the refuge of Kal Linios was build against our outer wall with the same splendor as the glorious Temple City itself.

It was at this critical moment that I was recruited into the Acolytes of Talantir. My extensive religious training and my experience from the vile war of years past had distinguished me from my peers. I took part in the second wave of Acolytes sent into Vroles and even though I had been privy to the lay of land ages ago, the world seemed novice to me then. The devastation shocked and saddened us but it also filled us with an unending determination to save and cherish all that was left and aid every one of those unfortunate Vrolesians.

Along the way we preached our ways, helped rebuild, escorted refugees to Kal Linios and partook in important diplomatic missions among many other things. However we were not needed only for peaceful endeavors, we were also put in command of brigades of Watchkeepers to counter roving bands of brigands and the vile beasts of the tear. Some of us even helped train and took command of the Kal Linios Auxiliary Legion, though I took no part in that.

My most recent assignment is one of great importance to the Great Temple of Talantir and my realm as a whole. My brother in faith, Reswial Asilien (may he forever aid Talantir in his watch), and I are dispatched officially on a diplomatic mission to the Caedrall Empire and it's separatist eastern province. Unofficially we are to find out how much and what they know about the great schism. Our mission is to research the very cause and the consequences of the weavebreak so our people may be better prepared in the future.

It is with great pain in my heart, however, with which I must proclaim my dearest brother in faith has unfortunately perished caused by some foul and arcane being which has not before been seen by my eyes. This will not hold me back from my quest, indeed I am now more determined than ever to find the answers I need!”

Izirius is a citizen of the gleaming Temple-City of Kal Shaatar, a veteran of the Order of the Watchkeeper and an Acolyte of Talantir. He has an unblemished, light purplish skin, gleaming black hair and coal-black eyes without discernible pupils.

hello, my loves! — i’m jess, i’m 22 and over in rainy england. i’m recently done with university which gives me a lot of downtime until i find a job so hopefully i can dedicate a lot of that downtime to this fuckin’ rp because it’s gonna be lit i just know it. i’m a huge stone roses fan and 80s/90s-music-obsessed in general so getting to play this character is super exciting for me, so without further ado, meet my trash son: mr isaac carberry. BACKGROUND

born 14th april 1960 in manchester, england to a normal working-class family, isaac was the first born child of james & rose carberry, with a younger sister coming along a few years later. the little family of four lived fairly happily, but struggled financially just as many people did in northern england at the time. 

when isaac was five, his father lost his job as a result of coalmine closures, and times were tough. however, the family kept their spirits high by keeping close-knit, as well as listening to a whole lotta’ music. music was key in the carberry household. it was all around you at all times.

when times would get particularly bleak, his dad would pick up an guitar and play to the kids. he wasn’t very good but watching someone play an instrument and have fun with it sparked something in the eyes of isaac carberry.

tw violence, corporal punishment — during his teenage years, he was a problem child. he was the kid that always got pulled out of class by the headmaster to receive the cane in his office. he could never sit still, was always cracking jokes when he should’ve been doing his schoolwork, etc. it wasn’t talked about at the time, so it went unnoticed, but what isaac was probably dealing with was undiagnosed ADHD. despite this, though, he was a clever child. he had a way with words and looked forward to english class every week, where he would take great pleasure in writing exercises, especially poetry. 

writing was a dreamy, escapist haven for isaac, and this extended to his life outside of school, too. the works he was producing were mostly tongue-in-cheek, light-hearted stories and poems with a recurring “stop taking life so seriously” theme. when he turned 16, however, these poems began to turn into songs. this started to take up a lot of his time especially when he finished secondary school at 16 and went onto sixth form college, where he took music alongside english.

isaac desperately wanted to learn to play guitar, so that he could form some structural melodies to these songs, but struggled with honing the skill of learning an instrument. luckily, when he was 18, he made three friends who could do just that. the four kids would bounce ideas off of each other and hold jam sessions in the tiny little basement of isaac’s family home, but things never went much further than that (at least not yet, anyway.)

isaac decided against going to university, mostly since his family lacked the funds, and instead picked up a full-time job in a grocery store to help out his household’s shared income. 

in 1979, margaret thatcher came into power as the UK’s prime minister, and times got even bleaker. money was even tighter and the working-class situation became an even harder one to be in. the carberry family started sending isaac out on the street after work to sing some of his songs for tips. 

in 1983, aged 23, isaac was in a dark place. no opportunity, no degree, no wealth in the family to fall back on. he ‘rallied up the troops’ so to speak and practically begged his friends to start a band with him. he had plenty of material, after all.

to his relief, they said yes, and were determined to make it work. they were hungry for attention and throwing themselves at any gig opportunities they could get, to get them a bit of money into their pockets. that was it, GENERATION was truly alive and kicking.

at a show supporting another band, generation were noticed by a fellow musician, who took a shine to the band and booked them to support his upcoming uk tour. thus, the band were rising to prominence. fast forward a year and before isaac even had the chance to process it, generation were shaping up to be the biggest band in the uk. isaac could finally give his family everything they needed to better their situation and was having the most amazing time ever doing what he loved.

after independently releasing their own singles, the band got themselves a record deal in early 1985 and released their first full record, a self-titled album. their management wanted to introduce them to US audiences, and thus — that’s how we find ourselves here.

K I M  S E O K J I N is a king. he has the voice of an angel and man oh man is he handsome. so so handsome. he looks like he belongs in a movie when he’s performing epiphany. he nailed the high notes and his performance just took my breath away. oh and i love it when he goes ham during so what and starts dancing all crazy hahaha. also also him in truth untold... his vocals... his ability to project his voice is a big WOW.

yoongi... oh mr yoongo. wow seesaw in person was wow!!! he looked so in his element, so comfortable on stage and the choreo for the song??? the choreo! plus you know the benches! and his singing voice! i know people talk smack about his seesaw outfit but i actually really like it haha and he just looked so good in person. also in his ending ment he said: chicago... it’s the windy city right? but why is it so hot in here? skajhdskhdka 

jungkook my sweet baby boy (’: he looked so happy on stage and he just looked like he was genuinely having a good time. his voice sounds higher irl? i was pleasantly surprised haha. also i totally get what that lady on king of masked singer felt like when she heard jk sang bc i got goosies when he did those ad libs in truth untold. anyway he’s so handsome and his smile makes me want to astral project myself to a whole other universe. i love him sm )’:

I had reservations about doing this reaction post but I’m watching the NBC mini-promos for everyone (cue lil’ kid saying that Javi is his ONLY hero <3) competing tonight and all the feels flooding in.

Also gonna put my dream podium out there in advance so I can lay claim to my fantasies before they possibly flop: Yuzu, Nathan, Javi (in that order for Gold, Silver, and Bronze), but ofc the best scenario is that everyone skates well and leaves the ice happy and the gremlin judges can do whatever. I haven’t watched a lot of the earlier-group men this season, but looking at their music choices I’m pretty excited for Julian Zhi Jie Yee’s Build a Home program (P/C’s 2016 FS from Euros that year still sticks with me) and hopefully Yaroslav hits his 4F. Just writing out everyone’s name is getting me hella nervous
