Hot take but this feels like Tails and Nine

i’m sorry anon but i’m gonna have to disagree with this one. scourge and nine are just way too different for this to fit imo

(i’m so sorry to any scourge fans if i get any of this wrong, i’m only going off of how i interpret him 😭)

scourge is an evil version of sonic who does bad things because he can. he’s an asshole, he’s selfish, he’s lame. he took over moebius because his ego got bruised a little. archie sonic and scourge are the exact same, they’re just fighting on different sides. either one of them could become just like the other at any point, they just choose not to

on the other hand, nine is not an evil version of tails and he does bad things purely out of self preservation and desperation for a better life. he’s a traumatized child with severe trust issues who’s selfish in the sense that he literally only had to think about himself. there is no one else in his corner. nine and tails are parallels because they’re kinda opposites. tails grew up with sonic and became a ray of sunshine while nine grew up alone and became pretty cold to the people around him. there is no way that either of them could become like the other.

idk, i can’t see nine ever saying something like that because nine doesn’t want to be like tails. and he doesn’t want tails to be like him. nine doesn’t want anything to do with any of his counterparts, he makes that extremely clear.

nine is an angry kid who had his happy ending ripped away from him, not an evil twin

i just wanted to talk about my general experiences with everything from start to finish (no spoilers!)

first off me and my friends were all cosplaying sonic characters (if you follow me you know i’ve been planning this for months) but beforehand we went to build a bear so me and one of my besties could get matching sonic and shadow plushies

and dude. TOP TIER EMPLOYEE. we walked in and she knew who we were and did an incredible tails impression. and then a different lady who was stuffing the bears was very fun to chat to (albeit we were a bit rowdy at times so i am so sorry 😭). i deadass haven’t been to build a bear in prob 5 years so i forgot how cute the heart ceremony is like awww

then once we got to the movie theater this guy working was telling the lore about the “i’ve come to make an announcement” video and how snapcube recorded it twice (which i did not know very cool)!

also wanted to mention how my friend was cosplaying rouge and everyone thought they were tails and they just eventually went “yep i’m tails” becus it was so bad 💀 such a trooper 🫡

okay so. this was my only complaint (and it’s not even about the movie itself). at the end credits cutscenes i was like. the only one screaming. and it just felt so wrong…like i’m in a decently sized city and there were 20ish people there PLEASE JOIN ME NOW I FEEL LIKE A WEIRDO HELPPP

i was also hitting like the most diabolical poses at the most interesting parts. like i leaned/squatted forward to the (empty) chair in front of me and just stared so hard. somehow my friends were mostly not getting embarrassed at me and idk why cus holy shit like i wouldn’t wanna be my own friend lookin goofy like that LMFAO

lastly shout out to the guy with a full sonic character suit who i thought was like 20 but then realized as we walked out that he was actually prob 30-40 and had kids (who i’m assuming are his??). W dad if so he was so dripped out

anyways that’s it for now pookies, i was allowed to skip school today becus i was too hyper to sleep from this movie and now i can’t function (also we’re not doing anything the day before break anyway) but yeah 😋���� would highly recommend prob my fav movie of all time now tbh but i am extremely biased

even if you’re not a huge sonic fan tho i think it’s so insane that we live in a world where the underrated story telling of video games can now be heavily referenced in a best selling movie and make it work. so that’s why you should deff go see it ‼️

I've seen a few posts on my dash about the idea of Amy's attempt to fix Surge only resulting in Surge somehow making her worse (aka corrupting her), and I feel there could be potential behind that scenario. What about you?

🙏 OKOK so I've seen a couple & i absolutely love the idea I won't even lie

(hc) but i very much think of Amy as stubbornly good and firm in her beliefs (shes based herself all on heroism, esp with the resistance and all 😭). Surge would definitely struggle to change Amy for the worse; especially since i consider Surge to be the weaker one of the two when it comes to morals and alike.

I personally dig the hc scenario where Surge is slowly melting away her anger and hatred (w/ Amy being doting and patient SLOW BURN 100K WORDS 30+ CHAPS until they inevitably hold hands) but this is more wishful thinking, i definitely see the canon panning out with them hating each other (especially after the whole forest fire)

+ the panel from the recent IDW issue where Amy is like we aren't forcing you to be part of the resistance or anything and Surge is like 'huh 🤔' IDK IDK i think Surge cracks first

HOWEVER, Amy letting loose and being a delinquent of sorts after giving up 'fixing' Surge, is something i would love to see for the fun of it.

It might be super ooc but imagine Amy just becomes tired of being a hero and cracks THEN decides the next best thing now is fighting random bots or ppls w/ Surge 😭 and the resistance is just like wtf 😭 LMAO (also imagine a tag team surge / amy vs sonic, it will never happen but it's both funny and interesting to think about)

Regardless, there's a bunch of potential dynamics with this. I'm liking the dynamic Surge brings w/ the resistance (like Whisper and her, it's so good especially if we mix in Tangle) (consider: whispangle jump surge) THERE'S so much potential for fights, connections, verbal arguments... the drama is crazy.

So!! In G4 mlp, unicorns were the super pretty ones, with jewelry and honestly who didn’t grow up being told unicorns were beautiful. However!! In G5, it’s the pegasi that are seen as beautiful with their fluffy/ elegant wings. I want Soda to be the prettiest dude ever so I’m debating between the two. It would also likely decide which ones Darry and Ponyboy would be. I’m leaning towards pegasi honestly, cause: Darry could use his wings while working on roofs and Pb could use it for track. So Curtis bros are probably decided. Maybe Mrs. Curtis was an earth pony and she met Mr. Curtis when he moved down from Cloudstale (though it’ll depend on the generation this will be set in)

Dally changeling is so interesting to me I’m sorry. Like the concept of feeding off other peoples love and shapeshifting into anything is something i feel fits Dally??? Like, maybe New York was the hive, and he somehow escaped and is living off chaos. Literally. He picks up broads to feed off their love, then moves onto the next one. Idk if he’d get the redeem transformation. Maybe when he goes to help Pony and Johnny with the church fire? If i have that? Or maybe he’s able to find some kind of alternative so he’s not just starving all the time. Or maybe he’s a hippogriff that moved away from Mount Aris

I’m kinda 50/50 on my changeling Shepard siblings idea. I think they’d be good as ponies. Maybe unicorns and they use their magic to get away with stuff. Unicorns in G4 can only study one kind of magic relating to their cutie mark (unless their cutie mark is magic, ex: Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer), so maybe they learn their own stuff. Maybe they use unconventional spells or mix stuff together to get outcomes that appeal to them and nobody else

I think earth pony Two-Bit would be fun, y’know, give him the world bending powers of Pinkie Pie and set him free. Lotsa earth ponies seem to work on farms or food growing jobs, likely because of how close they are with nature in comparison to the other pony species, so they’re generally physically stronger. So maybe Two-Bit is a mix of the two, strong and silly. He loves to make people laugh and he’s able to deliver a mean kick

Earth pony Steve interests me as well. Maybe his dad’s a pegasus/ unicorn but his mother wasn’t and he was born an earth pony. Maybe his dad found it pathetic that his son was plain or something. Maybe Steve threw himself into anything he could to prove his dad wrong. Maybe he’s unnaturally good at stuff, cutie mark assistance or otherwise. He has magic flowing through him, but not enough to be recognized as a unicorn, more like extreme luck in things?

I think pegasus Johnny would be neat. He’d sleep on clouds to try and avoid his parents, and then maybe that’s how he met Ponyboy or Dally (as changelings can fly too). His parents still hate him, but he doesn’t feel like someone completely useless since pegasi have a lot of natural perks. Like sleeping on clouds, being able to create tornadoes with enough speed, the ability to make a sonic rainboom, etc. He has all this, yet he’s still a blank flank. It haunts him, the fact that he’s apparently good at nothing. That he somehow still hasn’t found his calling. It eats at him constantly, but he’s learnt to live with it. To walk with his wings covering his flank as a way to hide what isn’t there from the world. Maybe he ain’t too good at flying, maybe during the jumping that super traumatized him in the book, the socs messed up his wings, and now he can’t exactly fly right or for too long?

- sasha gave him coffee once.... he then proceeded to ramble about random things for hours while he tried to help work on things. So, he was able to focus better but won't shut UP (I'm projecting)

- he enjoys media that reminds him of himself, which is the "odd man out" type stuff, it helps him feel better about feeling like he doesn't belong bc he knows he isn't alone. It's sad but it helps him idk!!

i personally think the fact that sonic prime is canon into the sonic universe is incredibly stupid, so im changing that which also means i can change their ages and a little bit of their backstories! the only one I actually changed up at all was shadz so here it is: grew up on the arc, most of that stuff is the same but when shadow fell he landed in green hills and GUN couldn't find him so just gave up. then, after 50yrs he wakes up and starts messing around at night, meeting rouge and omega through a series of coincidences; also accidentally making people thinks he's sonic cause fast and hedgehog, earning him the nickname faker. (i chose this cause i don't want sonic to deal with any genuinely world ending scenarios until the paradox prism stuff so it hurts extra bad)

second, sonic spends hours staring off into space now. he doesn't even fidget when he does this. tails is especially worried about this, so he's made a habit of checking the two places where he does this the most (the beach and the mountain) so he can snap sonic out of it. this is actually pretty helpful because sonic's mind can go to some.... dark places when he's alone for too long.

third, sonic covers his ears when he's nervous. its a pretty obvious tell so he tries to hide it, which only makes the thing that's making him nervous worse. cause of this, most of friends choose not to mention it, but its still kinda a problem with strangers.

fourth, sonic tends to avoid mirrors if he's not wearing his prosthetic or his jacket. he hates looking at his arm stump, and he especially hates when people ask about it. he has actually had some fun coming up with fake stories about how he lost it for extra nosy kids tho, so that's nice!

fifth, tho im not sure how it works from a technical perspective, the “voice” is supposed to be a physical-ish manifestation of Sonic’s guilt. something about the paradox prism energy or whatever, idk tbh

there’s som more u could mention, but im just gonna leave it at that!

edit: forgot to mention but also Sonic hasn’t been able to enter tail’s workshop since the paradox stuff. it’s still a lil too traumatic for him, but he has tried! the farthest he’s ever gotten was three quarters to the door.

also he’s really good at insults now. you get pretty good at targeting people’s weak spots after you’ve gotten your weak spots drilled in so bad you go insane. even accidentally! he’s had to apologize a lot.

florida!!! is AMAZING. taylor + florence’s voices mesh SO well together and the sounds just exploded in my ear in the best way possible. title track is cheeky which I LOVE. down bad is just so catchy and the way she says “fuck it if i can’t have him” is engraved in my brain forever.

(also the overall way she describes mental health complexities in both of these songs is so important to me)

Yeahhh 😭 he's a lot more traumatized in this. He's almost nothing like canon really, he's cowardly and tired and can hardly really tell why he's fighting. It's all acting so that he can be rewarded once it's all over, once he can rest. Being a hero is taxing but even moreso when you weren't allowed the freedom to want to be one.

He's afraid, everything is from fear. He can't even express his fear or cry because then the consequences will be severe. He has to be cocky, he has to be Sonic. It hurts less that way.

But of course, who would he be without a little piece of his natural self in there? He still would love the world, the animals he saves, the people he saves, and he appreciates the people around him. He just...hasn't been given the chance to know what it's like to have them all for real. He'd care if he was allowed to but if he was allowed to genuinely love the freedom of growing forests, the company would lose its power over him.

I just.. Wanna post my hcs if the sonic characters were human and what they're races would be.. Let me know if any of you agree :3 (+ au yaps abt them idk)

Sonic - White + Mexican.. Idk probably comes from a white trash family that he ran away from and just hates how he was raised so much to the point he HAS to do good things for others to not feel like a bad person, he was probably raised in a super small house with like 4 other siblings (he's the 2nd oldest) he ended up meeting Tails on the street when he finally ran away (his parents don't care or probably didn't even notice) and Tails was homeless so he ended up js taking him with him and they live in a small apartment together, sonic does odd jobs as well as a full time job to support him and Tails

Tails - White but specifically Irish. Idk why... He just.. Gives off that feeling 😭, Tails was homeless for only month or two before Sonic found him idk why he was homeless but that js makes the most sense with how they would end up meeting in this au, Tails is still just a kid Probably like 12-13 sooo living with his 17 BASICALLY brother atp Is like THE COOLEST THING EVER for him. Sonic does everything he can do support tails in his experiments but.. With how little their income is it's a bit hard

Knuckles - Jamaican. No explanation needed tbh. In this au knuckles is 19 he works in construction BUT also participates in Boxing matches as well as ring fights for some extra cash, he's been training to become a professional fighter or just something in that field, he'd even be happy just being the coach of a A-class fighter. He met Sonic on the streets and they got into a argument about something.. Idk what but it escalated to the point Knuckles just decided it'd be easier to fight it out and so they did.. Bets were placed and of course Knuckles won I mean yeah Sonic is fast as hell on his feet but Knuckles is basically a walking wall. No matter how fast Sonic is he couldn't make him move a inch. Sonic was a good match though and took his defeat and explained he was sorry for whatever they started fighting about and started to explain his situation, Knuckles felt bad and gave Sonic the bet money and his number "kid If you ever need anything call me, I'll try my best to help ya" and a few months later they ended up moving in together.. (Rent prices went WAYYY up and neither could Afford to live by themselves)

Rouge - Latina, need I say more? She works at a club as a bartender she's about 22 in this au to everyone she's like a big sister (except Knuckles. We love knuxouge here.) though in her free time she volunteers at a after school club for kids around Tails age and that's how she met those 3! Knuckles and Sonic would take turns picking Tails up and she thought Knuckles was cute so they got to talking eventually she found out about the 3s situation and if its for Knuckles she's willing to do whatever (as long as she doesn't get her hands dirty)

Amy - she always kinda gave me a mixed feeling?? Js black and white, she is a childhood friend of Sonics coming from a better off family than his but their parents were friends so eventually they js became friends too! She's 16 and tries her best to be there for Sonic but because of school and Sonic constantly working it's a bit hard for her to make plans.. She does occasionally go over and help them all clean just to make it a bit easier on them

Shadow - OKAY. I know I might get hate for this but.. I've always seen Shadow as Wasian. I'M SORRY I'M SORRYYY IT JUST MAKES SO MUCH SENSE IN MY EYES. SPECIFICALLY HE'S FILIPINO AND GERMAN. (Or alternatively Filipino and black. Something in me just has the urge to make him Filipino.) And let me tell you THIS BOY CAN SINGGGG. but enough of that. Shadows family is.. WEIRD. Maria is his Half sister as he was born 1 year after her to their fathers new Wife (Maria is fully German) AND YES MARIAS ALIVE IN THIS AU. so Shadow is 17 and Maria is 18. Shadow and Sonic went to the same school, they were kind of friends but also not?? Everyone kept putting them against each other as academic rivals when really Sonic just thought Shadows style was cool and wanted to be friends.. BAD. But after Sonic ran away they never exchanged phone numbers (mainly because Sonic didn't have a phone) and just lost contact.. He started worrying so he asked around and found out Sonic had dropped out which was.. Weird. Sonic had good grades and was well liked so why would he suddenly drop out for almost no reason? He tried his best to focus on other things but the thought of something bad happening to Sonic just never left Shadows mind. Maria had became friends with Rouge in her freshman year of high school when Rouge was a senior and they've kept in contact this entire time so Rouge is a close family friend of Shadow, through Rouge talking about her cute new guy she's been talking to she mentioned Sonic and Shadow practically JUMPED from his seat asking her "is he okay?? It's been months since he dropped out of school what the hell even happened I've been trying to find him for so long" (of course he didn't say exactly that.. He still has to keep his aura.) Evay QA Bulk Post 1

I’m working through my inbox but don’t want to drown y’all’s feed in my asks so I’m grouping as many together as I can. Q&A below:

MISC SONIC ASKS

Thank you so very much! I was trying to really combine both Amy and Sonic’s aesthetics. Amy is classy and design oriented so I wanted to keep that feel, but I wanted to show how their home would evolve once she and Sonic start living together. Sonic’s never canonically had a house, but he travels so much that I headcanon that he’s constantly collecting trinkets and souvenirs from all the places he’s visited. So I wanted to give them a very “worldly” design style. If you’re familiar with Uncharted 4, I picture Sonic and Amy’s house being very much like Nate and Elena’s beach house.

I love interior design and architecture but I’m not great at drawing it (yet). Once I improve I want to do a full layout of their house for my stories (and the future Shadora Fortress).

I really enjoyed the movies and I’m excited for the third! I hope they give Shadow a voice that’s deep and delicious and doesn’t sound like a sniveling villain. I don’t like it when they cast him with a very generic evil voice, I prefer it when he’s got depth. Honestly I’d be happy if they stuck with Ian Hanlin, he’s perfect to me. 

For the record, I absolutely love that game. Some of my favorite memories involve me and my best friend playing it. He ABSOLUTELY is an avid gun collector. I love seeing the memes of Shadow just rambling off about gun details. BUT HE KEEPS THAT CRAP LOCKED UP IN A SAFE AND UNLOADED AT ALL TIMES!!!!

At least for my stories he isn’t one to actually threaten to harm anybody for wanting to date his kids. He dealt with that enough trying to be with Aurora. But you can bet he won’t think anybody’s worthy to date his kids lol

First of all, I am ALWAYS down for Sonic singing his feelings. Like that is my #1 favorite thing in every story. Whenever he breaks out the guitar/lute I’m like “HELL YEAH LET’S DO THIS”

Secondly, that SONG omg!!! I’d never heard it before but wow 😭 I couldn’t love it more. I completely agree and thank you so much for sharing with me!

That is so funny that you say that. It was not my intention to make human Sonic look like RCS but honestly he is my favorite Sonic at this point so maybe it came out subliminally! Also I think Roger is just so damn handsome so I will take that as a compliment lol! 

SHIPPING ASKS

I do ship them but I don’t know about them having kids. I don’t really know those characters well enough to write family members for them and I wouldn’t want to do it wrong. Thank you!

I’m fine with any of your ships as long as it’s not with relatives. And as long as you keep my characters “in character” then that’s fine. 

Interesting! 🤔 I haven’t heard that pairing before but hey I’m certainly not going to tell you that you can’t ship them together. 

I loved Amy the minute I saw her so just from a superficial level I was like “These two are too cute together!” But I really fell in love with them when their story evolved and we got to see their dynamism in the games outside of just a cute little pink sprite in Sonic CD. And Sonic X really sealed the deal haha So many romantic moments between them in that show, God bless. 

Sonic and Amy were just making out, not anything more. Orbot and Cubot aren’t accustomed to seeing that so that’s why they reacted that way. 

I don’t have any plans on that at the moment. I like that universe and I especially loved how Sonic acted around her in it, but idk if I’ll make a comic about it. But I can never say never!

PERSONAL ASKS

I’m sorry to have worried you, but honestly I was okay while I was away. I went through a lot of major life events and I had lost my drawing mojo and was fighting to get it back. But now it’s back with a vengeance!

I plan on doing both. I know several amazing parents who do a wonderful job raising their kids and still follow their passion.

Thank you so much! I’m self-taught, but I’ve researched a lot of tutorials and references to help me improve over my life. The number one thing people need to study if they want to do comics or animations or anything is ANATOMY! You don’t have to take an anatomy class (I didn’t), but look up references and tutorials to learn how the spine works, how the muscles work, proportions, etc. Even if your characters don’t fall into the typical human form, you still need to understand skeletal structure and muscles. 

I’m not an avid listener but I do like some if her songs :)

I’m in the process of assembling that. There’s a lot so it’s taking time lol

AURORA ASKS

Thank you! Yes that’s pretty accurate. Their family is all about honesty and telling the truth, but younger Aurora doesn’t like to share all the details with Sonic because he’s so reactive with her and will quickly try to fix whatever the problem is and Aurora wants to learn to fix it herself. Amy is more willing to just listen to Aurora and offer advice if Aurora asks for it. Amy WANTS to beat up whoever is upsetting her daughter but she also knows the importance of learning how to fight for yourself so she wants Aurora to feel empowered to do that. 

Thank you! I hope you’re having a great day too! I think Amy is better at TALKING through feelings and Sonic’s better at the overall cheering up way of handling things. So as long as there’s nothing terribly awful bothering Aurora and she’s just feeling a little down, he’ll find ways to make her laugh. Sometimes that means walking in unexpectedly in a costume to shock her or dragging her out of the room to have a musical jam session together. 

Sonic’s also known to give people flowers when they’re sad in canon (he does this regularly in the games and in Sonic X), so he’ll bring her bright, colorful flowers to make her smile. 

In my AU, Eggman has already kind of peaked by the time of Boom!Baby. He’s softened a lot and isn’t interested so much in world domination as he just wants attention lol. Having Sage and becoming a father further helped me justify that with my AU. 

He's also particularly sentimental towards Aurora since he helped deliver her, so he doesn’t really fight the team anymore. He is more like a constant pain in their sides mucking things up. 

Sonic team is busy fighting other, newer foes in my AU.

Their biggest challenge is going to be the Time Travel comic that I haven’t completed yet. It’s hardest because not only will lives be put on the line, but it also touches on trust and when to let go. I’m sorry I can’t give you a more detailed answer yet but I don’t want to spoil the plot! And thank you so much! 

MISC ASKS RELATED TO MY AU

It’s VERY important to Aurora for her parents to give their blessing, so Shadow will honor that and ask them for it. I already know how and when he’s going to do it, but I can’t spoil it for you yet! 😉

They’ve had three litters. I headcanon that back in the day hedgehogs used to have litters (2 or more kids) all the time but that became less and less common in modern day. But I also headcanon that as the Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow was engineered to be able to… multiply effectively. So even though they’ve only been pregnant 3 times, they keep having triplets or twins. 

I do consider the First Kiss comic canon to my AU. But it happened a while before My Gal, maybe like a year or so before. Give them time to stew on that kiss hehehe

They just wanted to make a life change. The stars just happened to align at the same time haha

All the kids’ names are supposed to be based on their personalities or powers. Most Sonic characters are named that way, so I don’t know if it’s canon for Mobian parents to sense what their kid’s powers will be or not. Aurora has dreams that sometimes give her premonitions so she had inklings to what their kids might be like so she and Shadow could brainstorm ideas based on that. Also a lot of their names are outer-space-related or at least outer-space-adjacent and that was because Shadow’s a space man lol So he had influence in that. 

Sonic wants all his descendants named Sonic II so he’s no help lol.

There are 3 litters. The first litter has the triplets Piper, Zane and Nova. The second litter was born almost a year and a half later and has the twins Aster and Blitz. The third litter was immediately after and that has the triplets Cinder, Diamond and Boon. All this information is listed in their character reference post. 

In the beginning the family mostly just stuck to ordering online and getting home deliveries lol. But if they do have to do a grocery store run it’s a full family event. The kids all ride on Shadow (see this post). Their house has two fridges to accommodate for all the mouths to feed!

Their life certainly isn’t boring anymore 😂 It’s exhausting but they’re happy (also there are 8 kids haha!)

Aurora definitely would have asked him about this, but at least in my stories Sonic became an orphan at a young age and I don’t have him with any siblings. 

I’ve had another person ask me who I picture Sonic’s parents as and I do plan on drawing a reference of them, but they’ll be unique to my stories. They won’t be from any other Sonic media. 

I don’t draw Aleena, Manic and Sonia because of a couple reasons. I never watched Sonic Underground so I don’t have the allegiance/nostalgia that a lot of people have to that show. Also for my own preference, I don’t like the idea of Sonic being born to royalty. It doesn’t suit him, in my opinion. That doesn’t mean I don’t respect people who have that as a part of their canon and it doesn’t mean I have any bad feelings towards the Underground characters. I just don’t draw them. I grew up on the games and later Sonic X and Sonic Boom so my stories revolve around what I know. 

It’s funny that you mention that ship because I only just learned about it from Starrjoy’s P!AU comic. Again I didn’t watch Sonic Underground so I don’t know who Bernadette is, but sure I’m down for Sonic having two moms. Families come in all shapes and sizes, so as long as they’re a loving parent or parents then I support it. 

They love all their grandkids and they love spending time with them, but I think in their older age Sonic and Amy go off on more adventures again. They never stopped adventuring, but they settled down a bit while raising Aurora. Now they’re relishing a second wind and they’re frequently going on worldly explorations.  

But they always make sure to attend any events the kids are involved with and are always home on Sundays for family dinner. Sunday night is dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s! <— I have them always having dinner at their house on Sundays even before Aurora and Shadow have kids

To be honest, I never felt like they needed more. I had a comic where they discussed it hypothetically, but they’re content with just having the one kid. (Don’t worry, just because they’re not having kids does NOT mean they aren’t… active 😈 They’re very VERY much so!). I am okay with fan stories where people give Aurora siblings and there’s a fic I’m reading right now that involves Sonic and Amy having a whoopsie baby way late in life and adult Aurora is having to deal with that and I love it lol. But just for my own writing, it’s a single-child household.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed this is a thing and how insane it is but I'm sorry you've had to witness and deal with bullshit like this too, that's ridiculous. People have found power in claiming all the worst about people they disagree with because they get to put down things they don't like and use it as a reason to convince others to be against it too, while getting to claim they're morally superior.

It's also clearly an attempt to sanitize anything more mature or adult than they're comfortable with in any way because it's especially easy to twist into something it's not and call it problematic. It results in wild out there things that don't even logically correlate to make them come to such extreme conclusions. And then they have the nerve to say it isn't purity culture and that they're doing a heroic deed lol

Some of them definitely need to take a step back and they'd benefit a lot because spending so much time getting so upset over the existence of harmless things they don't like instead of just avoiding it, treating people like actual threats, and trying to look perfect and morally superior all the time has got to be pretty miserable. Especially because a lot of them are actually hypocritical and repressed themselves.

Alsoooo I’m mainly here to info dump on Lorelai’s brother!! ^^ We’ll call Lorelai’s brother James or Jamie since that’s the only actual name I can think of matching him. But keep in mind I’m horrible at naming so ehh idk. Anyways I envision him look wise to have blue hair like his dad Tom and also being rather tall. But in strength wise he’s pretty solid even if he’s on the skinny skeleton size. But if we’re going to be comparing him to jocks like Lauren and or military/police people like Gen & Grim then yeah no he will lose on a fight. Look wise he’s a tall average malnourished male like one you would see around in college campus bonus points if they’re studying something medicine/medical wise.

he’s also a huge mamas boy and also asks his mom on her opinion when it comes to gift and date ideas. NEVER Lorelai since he’s seen first hand how his sister is and how bad she is with dating. Especially considering how he once saw his sister come home all upset with a huge red slap mark on her cheek one day 😭 So he definitely knows not to ask his sister anything when it comes to romance.

There’s also a couple of reasons which explains why he isn’t a yandere or acts out on his jealousy or possessiveness. 1) he saw how unhinged his sister is when it came down to how Lorelai acts to the person of her affection. 2) he finds the whole thing to be very icky especially if the person he likes happens to be of the opposite gender. So he likely thinks he’s preying on his crush gender wise and incredibly so if they’re shorter than him. 3) he was once stalked by a person in his early years of highschool by a person he rejected and always and still does sometimes feel paranoid and goes to therapy cuz of that. 4) his awesome dad Tom told him and brought him up to be a very respectful person too bad Lorelai didn’t learn from Tom 😒

i feel like it could be a hit or miss with being a mamas boy, either a man can be such an annoying mamas boy where he will prefer his mother over anything and disagree with the entire world if she said so OR the best most respectful individual you'd ever meet. No inbetween.

Jamie would definitely be on the respectful side of the spectrum, citing our previous and current conversations regarding his behavior and personality! I like to think he consults his mom's opinion on general life stuff over his dad, but about his degree or jobs? straight to his dad! He would never abuse his family's reputation to gain a job, not like he has to. But if it ever gets too difficult to find a good job after uni? He's asking his dad to help him out.

And oh yeah, definitely after seeing all the shit Lorelai does to her darling while they constantly reject her makes him almost puke. He would never put his loved one through something so horrible like that, and would try his absolute best to be understanding and willing to listen to any issues his darling has with him.

But at the same time, I feel like a character cannot be a complete character without at least a flaw or two. Which leads me to conclude with, what would his flaws be? And if they were pointed out to him by his willing (ofc) darling would he be willing to change it?
