(its why HX was archive locked at first, I was testing the waters to see if they had an Ao3 account/if I would be good posting my nsfw under lock so they wouldn't see it & be weird abt it. they complained my bed sharing fic didn't end in 'a bucket of lube' and were gushing abt other nsfw fics in the gen chat of a family friendly server.) daichi is horny for science is the 'locked in a room and u gotta fuck to get out' trope, but with more him geeking out abt X's reproductive system. tldr i figure since Ultras evolved suddenly when the plasma spark happened, their whole biology changed so rapidly they could have evolved into a biological endpoint. Daichi's trying so hard to figure out how X works and X's is like "uuuuh Ultraman scientists are still trying to figure out how to have kids, actually!" its why there's been so few ultra children, a mix of the great war + most ultras conceiving while in a humanoid form. its p nonsensical honsetly (tho its a step above the egg fic LMFAO. that ones plot makes no sense tbh)

Okay but Peri drawing a family portrait when he's small. He puts his all into it, uses his best crayons and paper. Taking his time to make sure that it's perfect with his childish scribbling and wobbly lines and bright colors. Once he finishes he flys clumsily around the castle, looking for a certain someone. He sees his dad, Cosmo and asks where this person is and is told to go find Wanda and he continues on. After searching he finally spots his mom who's talking to the person he's been looking for. Excitedly chirping out-

"Timy-! Timy-!"

Timmy and Wanda look up only for Peri to stumble into his beloved big brother, vibrating in excitement. Timmy smiles and asks Peri what's up, just as Cosmo comes into the room and joining Wanda's side. Curious about his youngest's excitement. Peri beams and holds out his drawing, proud and a bit shy. Timmy takes it and is immediately feeling his throat get tight. As he takes in his little brother's drawing of their family, with him and Peri holding hands and childish writing of "my bes frend!" staring back at him.

Timmy will deny it till the very end that he cried from how touched he was by his baby brother's gift. Even years later when his memories are gone, he's never gotten rid of the drawing. Not understanding what it's supposed to be, but deep within his heart being unable to part from it because he knows on some primal level that it's one of his most precious gifts. Despite the giver of it being nothing more than a fuzzy, unattenable dream.

By season 4 Steve knows who he is. He knows what he likes and what he wants. I really don’t think he’s full of angst and hiding secret interests, pretending to be someone he’s not. He’s moved past shallow highschool assumptions and cliques. He likes sports and talking shit with his best friend. He wants to find someone he can make a future with, not just have sex without connection. Sure he’s 18 and still has growing to do, but he’s not searching for who he is or the opportunity to be himself. He’s confident about himself.

honestly the more i hear about engstars and its TLs the more i absolutely dread the inevitable release of poltergeist and what may ensue from it, bc if if the translators themselves are already invalidating arashis identity then i Really Truly do not want to see how theyll translate natsume and tsumugis microaggressions/transphobia towards her. esp since ive noticed a rise in people being comfortably transphobic towards her, and i REALLY do not wish to see natsume and tsumugi being stupid fucking morons be used as evidence to discredit her

and i think this is all the more reason why its VERY IMPORTANT for engstars to DIRECTLY ACKNOWLEDGE arashi and her gender. bc sometimes characters are STUPID and RUDE and APATHETIC. enstars is a story with NUANCED and FLAWED CHARACTERS, and when a character is being a fucking asshole youre meant to PROVE THEM WRONG. but they dont even acknowledge arashi as a girl themselves. so, if you do use engstars, please keep pressuring them bc omfg this is so bad and i can only see it getting worse

r/silksong is a discussion turned shitpost sub for Hollow Knight: Silksong, a sequel to Hollow Knight that doesn't exist (yet(?)). my knowledge of Silksong’s development is kinda spotty, Im just here for memes. after 5-ish years, pretty much every post is either sharing edits of Hornet (hypothetical protagonist of the hypothetical game) and making fake teasers and release dates. these all go under the 'silkpost' flair, the sub's dedicated shitposting flair, to show that they are indeed bait and should not be taken seriously. this flair is very important.

other recent events in this sub include a presidential election, and the week where everyone pretended the game came out and posted fake gameplay. there's a lot going on here. the reason for the state of the sub is that Silksong updates from the devs, Team Cherry, are very few and far between. it's hard to have any serious discussion about a game that literally does not exist.

u/E1331 is famous in the sub for constantly making shitposts of varying quality, ranging from edits of the devs announcing releases and cancellations, the aforementioned fake game screenshots, and all the way to fanfiction about the devs losing their fucking minds. this guy's credited with keeping r/silksong alive.

these are all posted under the silkpost flair. everyone on the sub checks flairs before they even read posts due to the amount of fake hype being posted. everyone on the sub knows that these posts are jokes.

however, because it's always fucking something, isn't it, recently u/E1331 went and posted some fake screenshots of the devs shitting on other indie games, of which I only have the deleted post, as part of his usual posting.

and yea, I get it, those screenshots could've fucked up Team Cherry's reputation if people believed them. google AI is already scraping reddit shitposts to pass off as actual information, and misinformation spreads like wildfire nowadays. apparently google already says that u/E1331 was sued by TC according to a comment I saw. shit's getting weird. I understand why TC would go out of their way to wipe this from the internet when people outside of r/silksong might take the screenshots seriously, with no way to know any better, and slander the company. nobody can really blame them for doing this.

jonny d'villes heart ticks audibly. the crew can hear it during the few and far between quiet moments on board the aurora. it's so steady, tick tick tick, a reminder that he is there and they are all alive together, never speeding up or slowing down. sometimes they joke about using it as a metronome during practice.

jonnys heart ticks. he can hear it every waking moment. tick tick tick. it never slows down, even in the deepest sleep according to the rest of the crew. it never speeds up even when his blood is more adrenaline then actual blood, times when normal peoples hearts would be racing. whether he's laughing his ass off or terrified for his life (I guess old habits die hard?) it. never. speeds. up. sometimes it's fine, he can ignore it but there are days when the constant tick tick tick tick tick tick tick is too much. the days when he has to drown out the sound with gunfire and screams or music loud enough to make his ears bleed. some days even that barely cuts it and he debates putting a bullet in his head just to make it quiet for a few hours. the rest of the crew has gotten pretty good at recognizing those days, and they know how to help him get through them, just like he knows how to help his crew through their bad days. nastya will bring him into the near deafening engine room and theyll play with power tools until their hands are covered in grease and grit, or Tim will sit him down on a speaker and play the bass so loud the whole ship can feel it, or Marius and raphaella will tell him about unethical medical practices they've witnessed/performed or Brian will just hold him close until the rhythms of the metal man's body distract from the tick tick tick tick of his own heart. the constant tick of immortality is loud. jonny can't deny his luck in finding a crew that is almost always louder.
