Endeavor is waaay better than Rei as a character. PERIOD. At least Endeavor does something. He's a hard-working hero who climbed his way to the 2nd position at a very young age. He mastered his quirk without any AFO/OFA bullshit. He is extremely powerful and defeated countless villains like the high end nomu and AFO. Also he has the highest amount of resolved cases than any hero. He does his job as a hero very well. As a father, no. Rei, on the other hand does NOTHING. She's a housewife and a mother. She only had one fucking job and that's to raise the kids. She did not raised any of them. She has no love nor care nor responsibilities for any of her kids. She put herself into a mental asylum and just sits in that damn chair as if she's wheelchair-bound. At least Endeavor raised Shoto. Rei did not raise any of her kids. These are one of the reasons why Endeavor is a highly-ranked popular MHA character and always appears in every MHA popularity poll.

It takes his uncle tugging him towards the van for Eddie to kick back into motion, nearly falling over his feet turning back around. It’s only Wayne’s “Easy” murmured under his breath that keeps the ground from opening up and swallowing him whole. 

He climbs in on the driver’s side while Wayne rounds the car and gets to Harrington’s side. 

“Hey there, Blue,” Eddie says, the nickname slipping again — but it’s easier to call him that than his real name, it’s easier to pretend it’s literally anyone else in here with him, bleeding against his door. It’s easier to pretend it’s not Harrington’s breath rattling the way it does, easier to pretend those pained groans so high in their cadence they can only count as whines don’t come from Hawkins High’s Golden Boy. “Come on, up you get,” he tells him, not daring to raise his voice too much. 

He looks so frail. Like he’s already broken. Or like he’s trying not to. Like he’s holding on. 

Eddie pretends not to think that the shoulder he places on Steve’s cheek to gently pry him from the window is not the only thing keeping that boy together right now. 

Harrington groans, whines, wheezes, but opens his eyes to meet Eddie’s. Jesus, we’re they this blown before? Or this swollen? 

“Hey,” Eddie says, just to say something. Just so he won’t have to hold the boy’s face in silence, just so he won’t have to focus on all the blood. 

Steve opens his mouth, his breath coming out a little sharper, but Eddie manages a smile nonetheless. 

Wayne chooses that moment to open the door, not pulling yet, just giving Eddie enough time to support Harrington. 

“Careful,” he whispers, though whether it’s for Wayne, Steve or himself, he can’t quite tell. Maybe it’s a plea to the rest of the world, and to anyone else who listens.

i’m a bit too used to Bojan’s height being the average for males in my damn country i just can’t call him short in general 😭 next to his giant bandmates and other people he’s been spotted with, however… yeah, he’s a little puppy next to them 🫠

I mean yeah, poor boy is just very unfortunate that he's his height in a country where the average is over 180cm 😭 (and ngl, even his 178,5cm don't really make sense... like that is an oddly specific number, Mr. Cvjetićanin, you can lie to yourself, but you can't lie to the ppl standing next to you with their 173cm and being the same height as you...)

But yeah, the others being really tall just make him look even more mini 😭

I literally love ur royal aus!!!! Do you ever plan to post the aftg royal au as a full fic? What about West Facing?

The final aftg au remains in the works as we speak 😌 at this point it's all editing and organizing and paring down to get a publishable result lol

As for West Facing! That project is still mostly in the planning phases, I might have enough of a projected timeline to pants it but I don't plan on getting anything down for real until the aftg au is done! One thing at a time for my own sake 😅 I definitely have snippets of it and will continue to write snippets, but those will probably mainly be on patreon for the foreseeable future.

i like to think that aos bones has an interesting relationship with parenthood...

especially pertaining to his relationship with jim. not that he sees jim as his son, necessarily (i don't think they're deliberately portrayed that way in canon, nor do i headcanon them like that, but honestly fandom is fun because we all have fun in our sandbox, so if anyone happens to see them that way, neat!)

but when you're a parent, and at the same time a parent friend, it's easy to take the path of least resistance when it comes to defining the undefinable relationship you have with this guy you can't seem to live without.

is he your captain? your best friend? your patient? a command prodigy and a tactical genius? a sight for sore eyes? your personal nuisance? the one and only person you can't seem to get rid of, who drags you places you hate and points out everything beautiful to you and beams like he won the lottery when you can't help but grin just a little, who brings the light back into places you forgot could be lit up like the dawn, who saw you at your worst while actively at his own worst, and plopped his fool ass down and decided you were worth fighting for?

and that's a lot of things. especially many when you're fighting tooth and nail to keep his scrap-happy ass intact and also keep an eye on a whole starshipful of people. it's a lot easier to stick to what you know-- whatever is the least risky, the safest option, one that could never possibly backfire and bite you in the ass. sometimes you forget he could see you as anything other than a parent (give or take the friend.) but parenthood goes hand in hand with grief. parenthood has its own set of burdens. but it's easy to put yourself in that box and pretend to forget about all the other boxes, collecting dust in the closet, and sometimes he prods at the closet door with something pleading in his eyes. you pretend not to see that, either.
