random pet peeve of mine: if you're going to write text messages in your story, write them like texts, not dialogue! there is a whole other system of expression and convention and potential characterization that people use while texting, and you're probably very familiar with it, and its so interesting! but if you write it like dialogue, with ellipses for hesitation or interrupting yourself mid sentence bc you regretted what you were saying (rather than either taking the time to edit or sending too quickly and regretting it), you're breaking the realism of your writing and sacrificing the unique interesting things that come with texting.

sorry for this unprompted rant but some of you guys are starting to ruin my favourite comfort character (CW mentions of noncon/r*pe, mentions of xenophobia, mentions of n*zis, general problematic behaviour, mentions of bad disability/mental health representation)

-1. Casual xenophobia- I’ve lost count of the amount of content that depicts König as a n*zi and I kinda feel like I shouldn’t have to tell you why that’s not ok. These things should not be fetishised and doing this is overall just super ignorant. That’s probably the worst instance of this kind of things but there are a ton of examples. Like a lot of people seem to think that every German speaking country is exactly the same. And to codify him as a German speaker everyone seems to think they can just slap on whatever offensive stereotype they want. As someone who has visited German speaking countries multiple times and knows native German speakers personally, believe it or not not all German men are rude, humourless, cruel, alcoholic perverts who treat women like shit and have a bunch of super fucked up kinks and no understanding of consent. If any of you had ever met someone from this part of the world you’d know that in general they are very polite and friendly people. If you want to use a stereotype there are plenty that aren’t offensive and ignorant that could be fun character quirks (eg. Germans always having to have the windows open, having a sweet tooth, having three different drinks with breakfast (water for hydration, coffee for energy, juice for nutrition. Trust me it’s a whole thing lol), being obsessed with always being on time (also works because he’s in the military) etc.). Like please at least try to be a little respectful. And if you’re going to show him speaking German at least learn the basics. Duolingo is free lol.

2 mental health/disabilities- as someone who actually has autism I think it’s kinda cool that some people have written him as autistic or having adhd etc. but if you’re going to do this can you please just do a little research so you get the symptoms right and not over generalise. Like autistic people can in fact understand humour and sarcasm most of the time we’re not robots. It’s 2024 like can we stop this trope please. A lot of people write him having anxiety or ptsd, which again I think is super cool but it’s often used as an excuse for him being aggressive/violent. Like this isn’t cute, if someone is treating you like this regardless of if they struggle with mental health or not there’s never an excuse for violence.

3 r*pe/non con- this point is kinda about fanfic in general but I see it a lot with könig especially. People need to understand the difference between a cnc kink and just plain assault. Cnc is a consensual agreement with safe words and boundaries and aftercare and mutual enjoyment. What most of these fics say is cnc is literally just him being a sexual predator. For a lot of people this is super triggering and romanticising r*pe is just disgusting.

again sorry for the rant guys but I really just needed to get this off my chest. Like this stuff has gotten in the way of my own writing and is really starting to ruin the appeal of his character. I did the neotropicals, the snow angels, and the solstice dragons in conjunction with a few others (including our very own @tea-kitten whomst I love and adore very much), a couple badges, and I'm uncredited on a handful of assorted dragons intentionally as a means to help out my friends. There also used to be a couple of digital paintings in the shop but idk if they're there anymore. I've washed my hands of the place.

I think the TF2 community needs more Heavy content. I love him to death and he's my favorite. So much content with him is just Heavymedic stuff, and while i love that ship to the point where its a comfort, im so sick and tired of the only heavy content being that or just him being included because its fanwork that involves all of the mercs. I have finished Bayo 3. I can only describe this game as a hate letter to the franchise, unceremoniously executing bayonetta in an alley and parading her corpse around because kamiya really wants to make his dumb nero knockoff. The fact they had the gall to multiverse bayonetta power boost and in the end luka's fursuit is what saves the day. They didnt even do a cool sheba/omne thing. The 'jeanne lies to impress men' bit 🤢. Sorry for the rant I'm just so mad, it feels like a part of me has died

SPEAK! I completely agree with you, especially about Viola. She gets tossed around even more than Bayonetta does throughout the course of the game, and were supposed to believe she's Bayo's successor? She didn't even help out in the final boss fight. Her parry can be annoying, and her most fluid moveset is when she's in fairymode, but even then, it's very limited. The game wants to mirror how Nero and Dante interact with her and Bayo, but there's also the looming component that Viola is her daughter!! She hardly acts happy to see her mother again and seems to only fret over Luka (despite the fact that her mother is the one being killed en masse across universes)? Bayo treats her like a stranger (which is bizarre when you consider it's at this point well-established that she develops unique concerns for kids) from beginning to end. There's an incredible distance between them that Bayo would normally fill with teasing and actually mentoring/challenging her. The Luka/Bayo romance was bad as is, but the fact that they just make googly eyes at eachother as they're dragged to hell instead of saying anything to their daughter (who is crying for them not to go!) is grotesque. Rodin acts more like a parent to her than her actual parents! Platinum seems to want her to be the protagonist, but they also don't know what to do with her beyond make her suffer.

Everything about Luka's arc should have gone to Jeanne. His Strider color scheme is even white/red. Bayo speaks to Luka in this game how she normally speaks to Jeanne. The first game starts with Bayo and Jeanne fighting together and the second game ends with Bayo and Jeanne fighting together (she also looked at Jeanne's ass in that one scene). Jeanne (regardless of what anyone thinks of her and Bayo romantically) *is* Bayo's strongest relationship, her equal, and the biggest force behind her development as a human being and a witch. She should have been the one that Bayo goes out in a bombastic boss fight with if they were truly so intent on giving our cast a sendoff. Driving them apart and substituting that bond with Luka absolutely nuked all of her established character. It's weird! This game is so weird!

I keep repeating it, but I'm really convinced at this point that this game exists so Scalebound could see the light of day in some way. The sacrilege treatment of the characters and the random under-developed plot elements (the first 2 games are about defying fate, and now this game wants to insist that it is fated for Bayo and Luka to be together?) that feel worse the more you let them sit and marinate seems to support this.

My sister is a Bayonetta superfan (from 2010! She only bought a WiiU to play 2! actually ran some well known Bayo blogs back in like 2015 lol) and this franchise is to her what Xenosaga is to me. She's been pacing around the house and periodically saying things like "A human is stronger than Madama Butterfly....because he put on a fursuit" unprompted.

You know what, I'm gonna write a small rant about language learning here, and particularly, about how entitled people can be when you talk about your language journey.

I remembered when I was talking to this acquaintance of mine, and since we were talking about hobbies and what we were up to, I mentioned I recently started studying finnish by myself with a book of exercises, and online resources, because I was very interested in the culture and language. This person proceeded to say, in the most sarcastic and condescending tone possible, that 'It was cool I was doing it, even though It would take me 3 years to learn what people studying it at university learn in 1'.

This person studied languages at university by the way, which is why I think they made this stupid ass comment. This just genuinely made me really mad and also kinda sad for them, because it felt like they HAD to downplay my hobby and passion for absolutely no reason other than... what? Feeling unresolved with theirselves for some reason? Threatened?? Something?? It felt like a snap back to me personally, a random cruel and mean comment just done because they could, since we never fought or had any unresolved business between ourselves that could've sparked the mean comment. I guess they just made a mean-spirited comment because they could, why not, right?

The casual ugliness of that response just pissed me off so much that I haven't basically spoken to this person since, which hey, at least is not that hard to do, since I always had a bit of an iffy feeling about them. I just saw them as an introverted person (like me), so I tried to get closer to them anyway and push myself to put more effort into developing a friendship because I relate to not being very sociable at times, and I know how hard sometimes it is to make friends. But if this is what I should expect out of my attempt to get closer to that person, then fuck it I guess lol!

I genuinely don't get why you would ever reply like that to someone unprompted, just casually shitting over their hobby and journey. Also, what if it takes me 3 years? What about it? Who gives a shit??? I'm having a lot of fun discovering this new language, studying and getting better bit by bit, it's engaging, it's interesting, I've discovered a brand-new world and culture, and it has become a fun hobby for me to indulge in when I have free time. It allows me to travel with my mind and have the prospect of speaking to my friends in their native language and maybe even make more friends, get to know more people, more about the country, and get the satisfaction of learning an entire new language.

What if it fucking takes me 10 years to do it?? Is this a challenge or a tournament over who's the fastest language learner? Do i have to prove anything to you just because I'm not going to university for it and studying by myself? Why the hell should I need to prove myself to respond to your ugly ass mean comment?

YEAH like as a narrative statement, if I'm meant to take BJ's assessment in Bombshells as fair and reasonable, it straight up sucks! And to me it does feel like the show commentating on its more subversive past and sort of writing it off as misguided.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way as well! And like, you've inspired me now lol so I want to count the ways it's wrong, in addition to what you've pointed out which I completely agree with too, like I didn't even think of the point that that kind of sacrifice is hardly intrinsic to soldiers in combat, but you're absolutely right and it does ruin the point a little lol.

But like, my biggest issue with it is BJ/maybe the narrative essentially ignoring the fact that the war is caused and perpetuated by people, it's not a natural phenomenon, and those people are the ones Hawkeye and co directed the most derision towards. Like the show has always been super easy on soldiers lol, it's very sympathetic to the guys actually fighting the war, and Hawkeye has specifically said in one of his more iconic speeches of the show that "except for some of the brass, everyone in war is an innocent bystander."

They don't act oh so superior to random soldiers, they act superior to the people who chose to start the war, chose to prolong the war, and who loudly and proudly support the people who do that, like Frank. That’s the authority they flout, and they’re 100% correct for it.

It also doesn't account for the draft - even if Hawkeye and BJ did consider themselves superior to soldiers, they, esp Hawkeye, are there under duress, basically prisoners, and I also think it'd be pretty fair to feel separate and superior to people who volunteered to be there - and that's even just operating within the show's own moral framework, in which again soldiers are usually sympathetic and rarely morally wrong. Like there’s absolutely nothing wrong with resenting the people in the organization that’s functionally imprisoning you, and it sucks to imply that it’s unfair or short-sighted imo. Though yk, it is pretty in-line with a lot of later Mash’s messaging.

And again it's interesting to look at it as solely BJ's reaction to being in that situation, and I think it is actually in character for him - it reminds me of his stringent position in Preventative Medicine a little, and I feel like it complements the apparent fact that he could've dodged the draft but didn't, eg. But if I'm meant to take it as a valid statement, then I just can't.

i remember had someone (another anon) question my sexuality because at the time i was identifying as straight but also openly lusting after female characters on my acct (not as much as male characters, but still), and it just...felt off to me? especially because at the time i was learning a *lot* about myself and hadn't fully come to terms with what i "was" - or rather, what i "am". that's a whole other story about self-discovery that i'm still doing and undertaking.

labels are constricting, and they always leave room for "oh, you're not ____ enough to be ____" which is distressing for someone trying to figire things out. so i like to always say, "i'm somewhere on the spectrum of ____" because it feels the most accurate. sexuality and sexual expression are fluid, so that's how i handle things to make it easier.

Coming at this from a raised catholic perspective, generally praying for someone works one of three ways

1. "I'll pray for you" - assumes the person needs praying for, likely more evangelical, rude. Just thank them and try to move along

2. "May I pray for you?" - cares about you in their own way. Praying for someone is seen as the nicest thing you can do for someone if they really believe in it. Can be responded to with "I appreciate the support". Try, if you can, to move from 'support through prayer' to 'monetary support'. If their tone is more caring and less rude, it might be done

3. "I prayed for you" - not many ways to see this beyond rude and presumptuous (if said unprompted). People who say this likely did no prayer, since prayer is supposed to be a more private thing. Boasting about it is a no-no. Try and move along from this person asap

Tony is actually the easiest to analyze unprompted. I feel like Steve is the one I need prompting on because I talk about him all the time anyways, so I really am at a loss for words.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but one thing I loved about Tony/IM1 is how you can pin-point the exact moment he gets his "I don't like to be handed things" problem. I love how they took time to wove that in properly. Because it happens the second that reporter Everheart gives him the pics about Gulmira with his weapons. Like, that was such a harsh turning point for him, being handed the heavy responsibility of that and he must have broke the record for fastest acquired phobia the second he processed what it all meant.

Oh! I also really love SteveTony parallels of them both not showing up to accept awards they've won. I can't believe I haven't seen a side by side gif of this yet. I can throw one together myself if I remember to!

when i said in the blood is very hit or miss for me i do mean it’s VERY hit and VERY miss. The BANTER in it is absolutely top of the line and some of the ten and donna character moments that happen in the canon of the book i am ABSOLUTELY going to eat for power such as:

3.there’s a whole bit where they banter about being police officers and ten is like “only if i get to be the rogue who doesn’t play by the rules” and donna is like “you’d need a leather jacket” and you can FEEL the flashback to nine and ten being like NEVER MIND. also they are actively trying to investigate a murder while doing this. they are at the crime scene and trying to figure things out before the actual police come. they are. so stupid. and i love them.

5. Ten is literally about to (almost) jump to his death and he does THIS

That being said. the overall plot of the book and some specific descriptions that im kinda like..yikes? I can’t quite articulate what is so ehhhhh to me but some of it comes across as very “kids these days and their internet” but also simultaneously like “people these days are so SENSITIVE” and it’s very. mm. i mean rage virus spread through the internet is unlikely to be...good? as a plot. and every time the book got back into the actual story i was either like. bored or kinda irritated? i dunno but it was grating

Also, and I didn’t notice this across the board with Jenny’s writing (i LOVED time reaver) but when she had to write Donna on her own it felt off? it kinda seemed like she couldn’t decide whether or not she actually liked Donna? In general though in my humble onion a LOT of writers struggle to write donna on her own which is weird bc she shouldn’t?? be that hard??? Donna is, like, SUPER easy for me to write and im far from a professional so like. what gives.

Tldr: don’t necessarily be afraid for her tentoo and rose stuff. a mixed bag is better than a bad bag and there’s a lot of aspects of her writing that i personally like and some that i personally dont and if she decides to fight for my rights and more thoroughly explore that tentoo is half donna than her sins will be forgiven

and yeah, it's pretty obvious, at least to some people, that devi isn't romantically interested in paxton anymore. they might bring him back just for drama and to keep the audience interested but i don't think she'll pursue him anymore. she grew too much for it and it would be such a letdown to have her get back with him.

why is the doctor so secretive towards the fam? is this ever explained why?

it’s really funny that graham is trying to reassure the others that the doctor is okay, because honestly they don’t actually seem to give a shit about her or whether she’s actually alive or not.

‘you know what she would ask now? what do we have at our disposable?’ see yaz is questioning what would the doctor do in this situation again. see she doesn’t actually need it written on her hand to ask herself these questions!

also it’s funny that yaz phrases this as what would the doctor ask. like im pretty sure yaz, a c*p, would also be able to ask these questions on her own. but then that would give her actual agency and would act like an actual character and ch*bnall can’t allow that.

like i don’t know what to call it, infantilisation? general lack of agency? but ch*bnall’s incessant need for the companions to only follow the doctor and be completely lost and unable to save the day without her is so annoying. like obviously it’s done worse in revolution of the daleks but yeah i hate how pointless ch*bnall made the role of companions to basically be reduced to background furniture who only exist to spout exposition and follow the doctor round like cheerleaders. like its the most shallow interpretation of the companion role ever to exist in the show (honestly i could rant on for hours about what ch*bnall did to the companion role and i’ll never forgive him for that).

‘ada are you okay?’ oh my god the doctor can ask this question to people! why does she literally never ask her companions this??

honestly why are there so many lense flares? the directing in this era is the worst.

so why do the kasaavin need to infiltrate multiple point of time? i don’t understand what they are gaining in the past that they couldn’t just get in the present day.

no idea what this stuff about barton and his mum is about? did ch*bnall ever elaborate on this?

i get the feeling that the master says something to noor but this has been cut/ edited out? this would explain ada’s line about hearing the master’s voice from under the floorboards.

also why wouldnt they check under the floorboards afterwards?

i don’t really see how ada tagging along would cause them to land in the wrong time (and specifically this time period/ location), again it’s just another excuse to do location hopping.

so the master tracks the doctor down to 1834/ 1943 through the kasaavin, is that right? honestly i don’t know how else he would be doing this.

‘two pacifists and a 19th century descendant of byron’ im sorry but its really rude to just refer to ada as daughter of byron when she accomplished many great things of her own accord.

it’s beyond words that ch*bnall sees nothing wrong with putting a poc in that uniform. i hate it him for it more than words can say. i’ll literally never forgive him for what he does in this episode.

‘ryan don’t tell them the plan!’ again! if ch*bnall is so aware of his shitty dialogue then why doesn’t he stop??

the fam don’t contribute anything this episode, they just have a run around? basically same as in survivors of the flux

why is the silver lady left in the warehouse on its own where it’s vulnerable. what if one of the fam just decided to smash it or something. honestly the silver lady thing isnt set up very well, it’s just a generic mcguffin thing.

okay talking out loud here, so when kasaavin ‘attack’ people it’s kills them, except they can’t kill the doctor and yaz because of their artron energy and also they don’t kill ada because they’ve been studying her for years. so were they meant to attack the doctor and yaz (like the master implies) or did they intentionally transported them to their dimension? (and if so why? to be studied?) like the teleporting thing has to international because they transport ada who doesn’t have artron energy. i am a bit confused on these kasaavin powers. it doesn’t help that kasaavin don’t really show up in this part until the end. i honestly feel like we don’t learn any more about them except they want to change humans into hard drives for… some reason??? nah i don’t understand this plan.

this plot falls apart in the second part and honestly i can’t make sense of it. maybe im being dumb but if anyone wants to fill me in that would be greatly appreciated.

like i think the hardest part is trying to follow all three antagonists plans, the master’s, the kasaavin’s and barton’s.

wasn’t the idea of gallifrey in a bubble universe is that it shouldn’t be easy to get in and out? obviously this was m*ffat’s idea and im not sure how clara and doctor get out of gallifrey in hell bent and m*ffat doesn’t explain how the master got out either. yknow what im already confused, let’s not bring m*ffat concepts into this. my point being is what’s the point of the bubble universe if the time lords can just come and go as they please?

the annoying thing is that there probably is a lot of potential to do stuff with gallifrey and the time lords but none of the nuwho writers have ever been able to do much with it and yet still they keep messing around with it. like destroying gallifrey again was literally so pointless because ch*bnall does nothing with it, when rtd destroyed gallifrey at least there was a character arc for doctor, here the doctor barely reacts it (onscreen at least). and also the whole flip flopping of destroying gallifrey, bringing it back, destroying gallifrey again is so childish and just looks like the showrunners fighting like children over their toys. like destroying gallifrey again is just shitting on m*ffat’s work which in turn was originally shitting on rtd’s work and just uuuuhhhhhhh!!! the audience is so tired of this!! it’s pathetic. why did ch*bnall destroy gallifrey again? for what purpose did this serve? honestly im putting gallifrey on a high shelf until these male writers learn how to behave.

i won’t insult anyone’s intelligence by going over why the that eiffel tower scene is awful and bad and honestly i skipped this because no one needs to see that scene more than once.

all i will say is ‘never be cruel, never be cowardly’…

the master’s tardis exterior not changing is so stupid and contrived!! the master may be arrogant but he isn’t stupid. my eyes cannot roll any further to the back of my head.

and honestly the doctor leaving/ stranding the master is so fucking stupid and out of character. the doctor would be smart enough to know not to leave the master on earth knowing the potential untold damage they can do. the master was stranded on earth (kinda) for 18 months and end up enslaving the planet. who knows what the master can do in 77 years. ahhhhh god i hate this so much. why? why would you do this? you are literally endangering the planet so much doctor

also wait why didn’t the master just use the kasaavin to get back to 2020? they can time travel right? that’s how the doctor is moving through time rightttt? why can’t the master do the same?

nah serious question do the kasaavin have time travel abilities?

so what does barton get out of this plan? i don’t feel like this is clearly established.

i don’t understand, why did the kasaavin target significant figures surrounding computers through time? were they needed to influence them or something? why did they need to go back in time to do this? couldn’t they just use barton in the present day? nah even when the doctor is explaining it straight to the audience im lost. i don’t understand the time travel part of this plan at all.

the master’s sexy purple outfit is so iconic and it’s an actual crime you can’t see it because of the awful ‘only close ups allowed’ directing.

the resolution of this story being ‘i just went back in time and undid what you did’ is the laziest example of time travelling. it’s cheating. as soon as ch*bnall wrote this someone should have taken the pen from him and told him sci-fi isn’t for you mate.

the way the doctor forgets about the fam being in a life threatening situation 💀

so fun that barton never gets resolved. also does the fam being on the run ever get resolved? you think that would have some sort of effect, especially for yaz.

ah yes the bit where the doctor take two women’s memories without consent and with absolutely zero repercussions for these actions. clearly ch*bnall missed the bit where this was established not to be an ethical thing.

and also the doctor removing ada/ noor’s memories when this has literally never happened to any other historical figure is so weird. ‘oh but we need to keep the timeline in check’ it’s literally fucking fiction it doesn’t matter! it’s not real ch*bnall! shakespeare never actually fought witches, agatha christie never actually encountered a murder mystery with a giant wasp, doctor who is fiction ch*bnall! it’s so unnecessary and makes the doctor out to be just cruel

what happened to master’s tardis? like where does the doctor leave it? this is literally never addressed.

a pet peeve of mine is definitely when they show flashbacks of something that happened in the same episode. your audience isn’t that dumb i assure you

i don’t understand how ‘the time lords lied to us’ is suppose to be some sort of revelation. like yeah they’ve been shady bitches from the start, this isn’t new or a surprise for their MO.

i don’t understand why the doctor is now so secretive towards the companions compared to in the past. this is never given a motivation or reasoning.

i love how the fam asked the doctor who she was and she just gave a wikipedia entry of herself.

concluding thoughts: honestly i get very lost watching this episode, like i said part two takes a massive detour from the plot and i don’t fully see the point of it? trying to keep track of three antagonists in a ch*bnall story seems excessive, as he can’t pull this off well (the timeless children and flux both suffer from multiple antagonists also). this also doesn’t help when the majority of the time they are kept separate. how the master, barton and the kasaavin came together isn’t very clear, i guess it just happened off screen and it doesn’t matter. also i don’t understand what barton’s motivations were/ what he gets out of this plan. he is just Evil Tech Guy™️. i guess i understand the kasaavin a little bit more but they do just become generic we want to take over the world baddies. them being from a different dimension is their most interesting point yet this hardly explored any further. the master does not do a lot in this part except chase the doctor through time, anything they do for main plot all happens offscreen which is dissatisfying as it makes it harder to see how much the master contributes to the plan. the companions also do nothing this part and don’t affect the plot in any way, honestly seemed like a waste of screen time to keep cutting to them. our pseudo companions ada and noor do contribute more to the plot which is nice. i really like ada, who seems like an actual character with agency and actually does things, but in end feels like she and noor are punished by having their memories taken away without their consent which has been established multiple times in dw to be a bad thing, here the doctor gets away with numerous unethical actions and is never punished nor called out on this behaviour. i really like sacha as the master i think he gives a great performance, he definitely deserves a lot more (russell please im begging you). the climax/ resolution for this story is awful, literally the laziest way of writing time travel there is (im pretty sure the curse of fatal death makes a joke about this use of time travel! and that was a parody! although i have never actually watched curse of fatal death and im very happy continuing my existence without seeing it).

I like the way you explain Kama's personality and lore its way easier for me to understand. I feel like fgo makes things super complicated for no reason and i feel kinda dumb;;

dont worry its ok, kama’s character in fgo is ABSOLUTELY (and disgustingly) flawed and if people dislike them because of that, i can totally understand why and i do not blame them.

the pseudo-servant system is stupid as all hell because in some cases, the original chara has more control but then they turn around and said divine heroic spirits explicitly state that their vessel is someone entierly different from them. i dont care about the amount of reincarnation excuses they give, look at gbf’s shiva and then come back to me lol how come vritra was able to create a vessel to transport themself into ? out of thin air ? this is called fanservice. 

minase wrote kama’s valentines scene and it reeks. pick their first ascension when they ask you to choose your favourite and you’ll understand.

ooku’s whole premise was interesting but once again, some details were genuinely badly executed and what’s worse is that they can hide behind the pseudo-servant excuse to push said stupid agenda. sorry but beast iii’s two sides being “the girl” and “the woman” is dumb as hell and nasu should’ve picked “the man” and “the woman” if he wanted it to have more impact because it would’ve also been in complete correlation with hindu religious themes of gender separation/union and it would’ve also put both sides as equals. kiara calling kama younger than her makes no sense because the god inside is literally as old as time but you know. i like to think that she’s just referencing kama’s state as a beast being younger but we all know that she’s talking about the mix of kamadev and sakura as kama assassin. sorry but that’s stupid. if dudes on 4chan also call this whole thing stupid when theyre usually busy jacking off to everything then you know its shit.

the pseudo-servant thing is honestly the only lore aspect of kama assassin that makes me want to leave this fandom when i’m morally at my lowest sometimes. if only it was better written, then maybe i would actually defend it. it simply ruins everything that’s good about them. kamadeva as a god has enough iconography to stand by himself and he doesn’t need some bullshit excuses. that’s also why i’m so starved for kama content that’s not porn related. because the canon already forces that shit down your throat. worst thing is, i can’t even say anything because kama is a pseudo-servant sakuraface for cash and a “fallen evil beast thats in love with you even if they have a wife lollll” for cash too. sorry for the unprompted rant but even though i owe fgo one for making me interested in kamadev, kama assassin is bad because fgo has problems. and i’m very well aware.

Okay so I was taking a break from work and read your story of ‘A Family of choice’ again. I still love the fic and you are so good! And it’s amazing! And like this is so unprompted but like I couldn’t help but think of a song that fits so fucking well with it. And I just want to say it so badly because like god that song fits the vibes of this fic and I NEED to tell you. Legit couldn’t stop thinking about it while I was reading the fic. you're so sweet! project sunshine is literally the one writing project that I've dedicated this much time too, mostly just because I'm so fascinated by the other kids of hawkins lab and what they're lives would be like! also I think steve is just a complex character and it’s really, really fun to write his perspective on things. I nearly have the rest of season 3 written and lemme tell you it’s a wild ride lol; there’s a lot more coming. dustin and steve are literally brothers! and I’m really excited to get even more into that in the story. same with sunshine and dustin- as well as the rest of the kids left in hawkins. they’re all just one big found family <3 writing the twins has been so fun too! same with tamera and calum, who are like these really confusing sherlock holes/scooby doo type pair. there’s a lot more in store with them too and everything revolving around calum’s father and his ties to the lab and dr. brenner. but seriously, thank you for this whole ask!
