Idk why I find the fact Mihawk writes Y/N Reader inserts so funny but so true and I have reader inserts blocked on here like I hate them but oh my god so in character for him.

YES YES YES!!! I don't really like self insert stuff either but it's so in-character for him I'm so obsessed.

And yeah it really is just the adventures of reader as they travel across the grand line getting dicked down is definitely one of his most beloved and acclaimed series. Shanks goes hot and cold on that series a lot because while the idea of watching mihawk getting dicked down by another man is very hot Shanks is also a jealous man and he is very jealous of these "fictional" men. He tries to find out if mihawk has ever fucked any of them in real life and maybe 👀.

Also yeah I just threw in the marine thing because I thought it was funny but I'm glad it stuck out! 😂. I don't think he self ships with any of the marines (maybe in his GILF era sengoku or fujitoro) I think because none of the really strong marines appeal to him but he would fuck smoker if he was stronger. and just because I remembered dude and I think it would be so funny imagine if his only self x marine ship is with Ryokugyu (the tree admiral) I think he'd hate him in life but he's not blind. I think this realllllly pisses shanks off because he does not like him and honestly its a bit of a snake eating his own tail because a lot of the reason he doesn't like him is because of Mihawk's fanfiction of him.

I think Mihawk's natural reaction (mostly because it's mine) is to ship Sengoku with Garp but he hates Garp and even the thought of picturing him in that way is enough to make him want to pour his ears to bleach his brain. I think it be funny if during one of his lackadaisical checking out marine headquarters rooms (because realistically who is going to stop him) he stumbles upon and old picture of Garp Sengoku and Tsuru when they were young and he is very intrigued by thetwo hot young men then he notices that one of them is Garp and he almost throws up, the thought wont leave him alone tho.

Also yes i don't think Mihawk actually knows dragon but he has definitely heard of him and being Garps son is enough cause for pettitness in his eyes. Dragon's identity is a little harder to parse out I the books but Akainu's is so fucking obvious. And it is a loved and well-cherished series. Anytime that Mihawk attends a warlord meeting or just genuinely has an unpleasant interaction with akainu (which is every interaction) he puts pen to paper. It'd be funny if this was the most "tame" series though more focused on the fictional romace which confuses dragon and pisses akainu off even more because what? do they think he can't take it? and mihawk is very pleased with himself. he drops a new edition right before he goes to any warlord meeting so he can watch akainu seethe in real time as the new talk of the town takes root (this series specifically is very popular in marine towns)

as for the real life identities. I think he definitely makes it a bit hard not to protect anyone. Still, because he thinks it's fun to make people guess and adds to the mystery so there is definitely a fan club (which Shanks leads) dedicated to putting the clues together on just who all the different men are (shanks needs this for....research purposes 👀) some of them are obvious if you're in the know like the Benn ones or Crocodile while others are just plain obvious because the Red Haired Emperor is definitely shanks like if you know shanks you know its him there is only two people with hair that red. It's not kidd( it does give both kidd and shanks a bit of a reputation of some islands because his book counterpart is infinitely more dashing and "masculine" that shanks' bum and kid's manica energies) and I think he makes the Akianu ones very obvious to anybody that literally even if you've just ever heard of him you know its him just to fuck with him.

these are super, super informal and unorganized thoughts but god these panels are haunting me so:

it’s interesting to finally be reading some of the issues that i assume influence general fanon perception of damian because there’s so much emphasis on the actions against tim (and like yeah fair, fucked up let’s not move past that) but also there’s little moments sprinkled throughout that made me go “…this is a child. This is a whole child.”

like idk man! These two pieces of dialogue are very striking to me! “See? I can be useful!” And “Look at me, Mother!”. Maybe it’s just because I work with kids but i read this and very clearly hear a child’s voice! And sometimes i think because a lot of people get caught up in the “formal” way that damian speaks that people forget he’s a kid. A very competent, highly trained kid. But he’s a kid.

Again, i don’t think Damian’s actions can be brushed off just because he’s a kid, and (within the content of the Morrison run), has had some fucked up shit going on. But like - for fanon, I’m just begging folks to strike the balance between talking about Damian being held accountable for his actions and also understanding that in this point in time he’s like maybe nine or ten-years-old. Idk! I’m tired of reading analysis and fan fiction that absolutely crucifies Damian and doesn’t try to find the nuance at all.

Hi guys! First of all, good luck on the project, it sounds great and I'm sure you'll get a ton of talented artists joining you! I'm even thinking applying, the moment you open your applications. I just wanted to bring into your attention that there is already a project being created in a very similar manner (and I'm a part of it). We call it Life series card project and for the past few months we have been creating a set of 53 playing cards with different players, situations and locations from the Life series. I'm not saying it to shoot the project down - it's wonderful that our community creates so many different works of art to show our appreciation for our beloved series. I just wanted to inform you, in case there could be allegations of one party copying the idea from another. Our groups may have just missed each other - our project has been announced on Twitter a few months back and it doesn't have much social media presence. Choco admitted the mistake of not setting proper boundaries and feeling unhappy about what the direction of their characters, that happens, it's not the end of the world

Characters are litterally a bunch of lines and words, it can move, change, stretch, and sometimes the creator wants to change the direction, and that's okay, it's their choice

Yes, it affects the lore of others, that's unconvinient, but ( and I may sound bitchy again here), good lore writing should allow you to always move forward despite the change in characters, especially in roleplay.

I'm all for Glitch changing if it makes their mod and creators feel more comfortable with it

Calling it a drama and involving me is taking things so out of proportions about something that at the end of the way, doesn't matter that much

Again, it's just a story, there are plenty more !

Also, the haters should really stop coming to me as if I'm some sort of autority here.

Why I'm against fan service of pairings from bl dramas.

Is toxic and do more harm than good.

I remember see about an actor who said he had to break up with his gf before starting a bl drama. And all I could think about was WHAT THE FUCK, why can bl dramas be a normal production? And separate personal life from professional life. Some people already have difficulty in separating fiction from reality and those pairing with fan service doesn't help.

Than there's that other actor who change the pairing and fan was like "I'm so hurt with this, you don't care about us" again WHAT THE FUCK.

So yeah I'm against even actors have only one pairing, I think each drama an actor play should be with a different pairing, for starts, but mostly and foremost the studios should stop try sell the actors as real couples, so much in a way that even interfere with their personal lives. People are already no good in separating fiction from reality and studios basically say "yeah you shouldn't, couple in drama are couple in real life and you have all alright in the lives of those actors too".

I know when we see a perfect couple in dramas we wish that love was real and so we wished for the actors be together, and that do happen sometimes, what lead to the next point.

Is ruins real couples. In a world of fan services and fake couples how to spot the real ones? Skeptical will call those fake too. I remember see a post about drama couples that become real life couple, like really dating publicly, and while I was ready to believe, there was skeptical comments about them not be real and be only for promoting the drama and etc. And honestly I can't blame them.

So yeah, I love bl dramas, but I think the whole fan service the actors pull (and I think is on the studios whether on them), with the whole "are we dating are we not?" Is quite harmful for LGBTQ community and toxic for the fandom as a whole and unhealthy for fans and actors alike.

I dunno if you've answered this before, but do you draw digitally or traditionally? I'm pretty sure you've posted traditional art but I'm just so in love with your pencil strokes regardless I'm amazed either way

Oh no it's all good! I don't think I've been asked that directly before. But that said, I primarily draw traditionally. The only times I draw digitally is when I make those thick-lined chibi arts or the ones that are obviously done in MS paint. Otherwise, everything is traditionally drawn and any coloring is done digitally.

This may also be a good time to clarify that I use a ballpoint pen and not a pencil-- apparently a lot of folks here have also tagged my stuff thinking my works are in the latter medium. I hope this way I am able to help with any confusion!
