niche British youtuber post but
i absolutely love Sophdoeslife, and without her content i’d still do my makeup how i did when i was like 13 (which no one needs to see) BUT over the last like month she’s worked with so many zionist brands and obviously my morals and peoples actual lives are far more important than a content creator so i’ll stop supporting her, but i just feel like when it’s a semi small youtuber who you’ve supported for ages it hits different compared to like a massive celebrity with millions of followers. Anyway far more importantly

Hi!
38. Fave song at the moment?
39. Youtuber you’ve been obsessed with and why?
Hi!!
38: "Guy On A Horse" by Maisie Peters
39: Sophdoeslife! She's a makeup YouTuber and the only modern one I've been able to watch. She seems really cool and I have all three of her palettes.

I defo agree with whoever said you sound like a YouTuber they watch. You kinda sound like sophdoeslife but, with a slightly higher pitch (octave?). Idk but, it makes sense in my head
On the asmr thought - I could see you doing voiceovers while drawing or packing your suitcase. Very soothing voice (you don't sound like a chainsmoker 💀) and don't let anyone say otherwise ☺️
That’s interesting because I always feel like I have such a deep voice for a woman 😂 but I read somewhere that you can’t hear the exact register of your own voice so you never know exactly what other people hear when you speak
Haha i am way too stressed when I draw or paint to narrate anything but I know the videos you mean. Just gotta up my watercolour skills
I only say chainsmoker because to me my voice sounds so deep. I’ve had people tell me I sound like Liv Bentley from Made in Chelsea who also has kind of a deep voice but maybe it depends who I’m speaking to

Here's an honest review of Harry's 1st Pleasing drop. I agree with her: the black polish is the 100% standout of this drop. Just another level of quality. You can see all of my first impression thoughts here. I will do an update in the future as I've been using the products more and more and got a better understanding of their performance.

Social media star Soph (@soph on Instagram) recently released a new makeup collection with Makeup Revolution. Everything looked so pretty, but this two lip balm and lip liner duos caught my eye and at just £8 each, I couldn't say no.
The two shades are Candy Icing, which is a mid-toned pink, and Toffee Drizzle, a brown/deep pink shade straight out of the nineties. Think Monica from Friends' lip colour! I love Candy Icing and knew I would just by looking at it on the website, but was unsure about Toffee Drizzle as I'd never worn a brown shade before. I was surprised actually by how much I like it, it's quite pretty!
The lip liners are very soft to use and glide well over your lips. I go around the outside of my lips and then fill them in a bit, then apply the lip balm over the top. They both feel very comfortable on, with a fairly matte finish and a hint of shine. They are unlikely to last you eating and drinking, but you can easily and quickly reapply if needed.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about these lip liner and balm duos, they're so easy to use and give you such a pretty lip look. I'm open to more shades of these being introduced if you are, Soph!

what youtuber do you watch
mostly crime youtubers tbh! some of my faves are kendal rae, danelle hallan and bailey sarian! but i also watch videos by the fellas, georgia marie and eleanor neale! bailey sarian, kendal rae and danelle hallan tend to be more in depth and cover less well known/gimmicky cases (like madeleine mccan and jon benet ramsey etc) and they tend to be a lot more heavy and hard hitting than the others, but that’s not to say the others aren’t all really well researched and presented; i just find those particularly (as someone who knows crime a bit more intimately) more interesting! also partial to a bit of buzzfeed unsolved too
i do like to watch some beauty gurus too, but more so less well known ones and those who don’t constantly use really expensive designer products… i think sophdoeslife is my favourite, alongside missdarcei (a woc guru for anyone who is looking for some). also like to watch some of sophie louise’s videos, brad mondo, and nikkietutorials
love watching the sidemen sundays! (i am in love with behz)
i’ve also really been annoying kian & jc’s series type videos lately too, i think they’re really entertaining!
i was also really into zoella’s pregnancy vlogs!

Hiya liv. For someone looking to get into makeup, which products would you recommend as the basics? What are your favourites? Are there any youtubers or tutorials you recommend? I’m an absolute beginner so anything would be super duper helpful xxxxx
hello my love! i will put this under the cut bc i went off a bit 😂
it's important to prep your skin beforehand so use a primer (i use mirenesse) but u can go looking for one u like the look of. as a powder foundation, i use nude by nature and liquid, nars (courtesy of @exilelover 🧡) and nars for blush, lips and highlighter as well; they're a great brand!
eyeshadow palettes: make-up revolution, elf, natasha denona, colourpop to name a few! fenty mascara (plus her entire brand) or a maybelline one and urban decay setting spray. oh laura mercier is brilliant but high-end 😳 and mac is also a nice brand to go for! and ordering online, mecca, beautylish and beautybay are *chef’s kiss*
the youtubers i follow are sophdoeslife and robert welsh, really fun and lovely people 💖 hope this helps u a lil and lmk if u have any other questions! xx

Take 2 💜❤️🧡💛💚💙
Hi guys,
A few weeks ago I did a post trying out the Morphe x James Charles palette and after a failed attempt of using the brighter shades I decided to show you a soft warm toned look. I liked the look I did and was happy to show you all it but it annoyed me that the look I wanted to do didn’t work out. So that being said I decided to try again and luckily this post is a success story this time.
I decided to try out doing a rainbow eye after watching a SophDoesLife video where she did a tutorial showing you how to do it using this very palette. It honestly came at a perfect time and was a lot easier to follow then other tutorials I’d seen before. Doing a look like this there’s a lot of layers to it so I’ve decided to do a little step by step process to chat you through it. But of course I start off by using my Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Eye Primer which last time I didn’t use so I think that of been a issue I’ve fixed this time. To do this look I decided to work on my crease liner from the outside in and then worked on the lower layer.
1. I first started off by packaging a bright purple to the top left of my crease to deepen the edges of the eye look. I find it’s easier to start off with the darker shades and then move to the lighter tones so it’s easier to build pigment. The I move on the centre of my crease and blend in the bright blue to the centre of my crease. This blue was quiet easy to blend in the with the purple but before blending I packed on the blue with a flat packing brush. To finish off my top crease I added a neon green in to inner corner tying together my crease.
2. Before I add any colour to the bottom part I make a cut crease on my eye lid to make it easier to add colour pigment. Cutting your crease takes a bit of practise but after a while it’s easy to do. I added a bit of concealer on to the back of my hand and used a little brush to essentially cut my eyelid in half and cover the bottom half of my eye lid in blended concealer. This basically acts as new base for the next lot of colours you’ll be adding so they can be pigmented and not get lost in the colours you’ve already applied.
3. Next stage is adding colours to the bottom of my eyelid. This time I decided to start from my inner corner and work outwards since the colours I’ve using for this side are a lot brighter and easier to blend then the darker shades. Underneath where I left the green eyeshadow I start off applying a neon yellow to continue the bright look. In the bottom cente I add a lovely warm orange shade that blend from the yellow to the centre of the lid. This lower look is a lot warmer then the top which is much more cool toned. Lastly I add a hot red to the bottom section of my outer corner. This blended really nicely with the purple showing off both colours but blending together perfectly to tie the look up. To really tie the look up together I decided to do a winged liner but using my favourite bright blue Revolution liner to keep the bright coloured look going.
And there we have it a successful look and tutorial using the Morphe X James Charles, I’m relieved that this look turned out a lot better then the original bright eye look I tried. I guess with this palette you have to play around with eye primers to add what works best with the eyeshadow formulas, luckily my Fenty one did the trick this time. If you want to see more looks with this palette please let me know.
Lots of love

Some youtubers you can tell put a lot of thought into their designs like a youtuber called sophdoeslife has a collection with skinny dip and you can see how different it is from BT or other people
So true. I remember when people were talking about the YouTuber Oli White for the merch he was putting out. It was literally just a circle with his name on it being charged for a ridiculous price. And his friends and fans kept making shit up to justify it when it was blatantly obvious that it was a cash grab. I just looked up sophdoeslife’s collections,, and I agree that that’s a great example of someone who’s put thought and consideration into what they’re making. More people should be that kind of consideration into what they’re making because they’re going to make money regardless, so at least make it be something you’re proud of.

I'm very late to read your response to my ask from last night, but I did manage to fall asleep after all and I spent all of today outside so far :D you mentioning your school trip is giving me war flashbacks. I don't think there has been a single school trip that I enjoyed, and I have repressed most of my memories from school 😂 do you watch any other youtubers except for dnp? Cause I really love rewatching their videos, but they are not the best choice if I want to wind down 😅 - lovely anon
ahhhh yay!! and oooo lovely, was it nice weather for you? :D i hope you’ve had a lovely day!! omg nooooo, bless you 😂 i don’t blame you though i won’t lie, i have done that for a few of them as well hehe. ngl dnp are who i spend the majority of time watching (i shamefully fall asleep watching their videos every night ahsjsj) but i love sophdoeslife (she does makeup videos), i still watch zoe sugg’s vlogs lol, safiya and tyler are some of my faves, i won’t lie i still love a good brooklyn & bailey video 😂 i love amy lee fisher’s videos but unfortunately she passed away last month 💔 so watching her vids make me a bit sad atm :(. i like some of louise pentland’s videos, nikkie tutorials, barry lewis, simplynailogical... ngl i watch all of these very sporadically though lmao my taste in youtubers is probably quite boring 😂😂 maybe you’ll find some inspiration though!! is there anyone else you watch?
