hey trans guys/folks on testosterone, tell me if this is common knowledge or if my prev doctors were just Not Good: it’s apparently recommended that you’re supposed to also take estrogen blockers while injecting testosterone since estrogen levels raise with testosterone levels, and elevated estrogen levels can contribute to things like weight gain and insomnia. like obvs it’s good to have a healthy amount of estrogen for stuff like bone health, but too much alongside testosterone is generally not great

Top 7 CN Shows That Would Work Better in Live Action than PPG

So I think everybody’s talked about why CW Powerpuff Girls doesn’t work, whether or not it’s a real thing or not? Who even knows. But while thinking about how this:

is kinda awful for Powerpuff Girls, I got thinking what shows that this style of a reboot would work for. In which it’s live action, the character is depressed and has sort of resentment towards their childhood now and that sort of thing. 

So what are the top 7 shows that I think this

Number 7:

Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends

At Number 7 we have Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. Seems fitting that we’d start the list with another one of Craig McCracken’s biggest hits. Why do I think the premise of “Oh, life sucks now and I kinda wasted my childhood” would work for Foster’s? For the plain and simple fact that for a few episodes of the show, there was a focus on Mac growing up and whether or not he should leave his friends at Foster’s behind him. You could play a lot with that concept combined with the live action reboot thing. Maybe an older version of the character is dealing with whether or not to let go of both Bloo and the past and move on with his life. Frankie being a young adult during the time of the original show could also be a pretty instrumental character since it was a matter of living there, caring for the friends, having that job and balancing this life with the life that she had outside of the house.

Not quite a coming of age story but a sort of “Hey, my life has gone nowhere and where could I go with this now? Do I keep the friends I loved and cherished as a child or move onto other things? Is there a way to do both?”

Only thing I wouldn’t want though is CGI monstrosity friends. Those would be kinda the worst…

Number 6: 

Okay, let’s actually talk about a real superhero show this time around. Or would this count as a superhero show? Well, they certainly do a lot of cool time travelling so I’m gonna say it’s a superhero show. Of course, I mean Time Squad.

Now if you haven’t guessed, I don’t have the most experience with this show but I know enough to think that this is something that could actually work well. I mean, Otto was a kid who was basically running around all over history protecting the balance of time with a stuck up robot and a dude who is a little too into all of this. Imagine if he just sorta did this for all of his childhood and realizing as a young adult that “Crap, I didn’t really have a childhood.” With the dynamic of the squad, the potential to expand the greater organization as a whole and just all the time travel shenanigans that could happen, I don’t see a reason not to do it.

Plus, CW already has Legends of Tomorrow and that’s awesome so even less likely to screw it up if they’ve already got a model to do it off of right?

Number 5: 

The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack

Yo ho ho, it is a sailor’s life for me. And in this sailor’s life we’re coming in with Number 5: The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. Now this is a bit of an odd choice, right? But hear me out.

Flapjack as a child kinda had only Bubbie and K’nuckles as guides for his life. While they mostly spent their lives at Stormalong Harbor, they also constantly spent their lives looking for Candied Island. What if they never stopped looking and eventually, little kid Flapjack is a grown up now and he’s like “Oh wow. I wanted adventure but I was kinda manipulated to follow this creepy old man’s dreams of candy.” I think going heavy and hard on this sort of found family between them would be kinda fun. How K’nuckles wasn’t the best role model and how they’ve still only got each other in this world, that sort of thing.

Plus, a live action Stormalong would be sooooooo cool.

Number 4:

Ben 10

As the old saying goes, it started when an alien device did what it did, stuck itself upon his wrist with secrets that it hid, now he’s got superpowers he’s no ordinary kid, it’s Ben 10.

And unfortunately in CW’s Ben 10, he’s not a kid who just wants to have fun. Nah, he’s got a lot of emotional stuff to deal with and all of that depressing stuff. Isn’t it great? Now I do think that this could work especially if you work it in where maybe Ben enlisted into the plumbers after his summer vacation and it just kinda escalated from there to the point where here he is now.

Say what you will, but at least with Ben 10, we’ve seen it hit a more grounded and emotional place with Ben 10 Alien Force and Ultimate Alien so I don’t believe that this would be too far of a stretch with how that show worked and a lot of people happened to really like those iterations of the show.

Granted, I actually do want a CW styled Ben 10, but less edgy Arrow style and more along the lines of The Flash, but I’d still take this too.

And now before we get into the top 3, let’s get into a few honorable mentions.

First up, we’ve got Steven Universe. Now honestly, this could work really well, the only issue with that is that we’ve kinda already seen this story told and that was with Steven Universe Future. Good stuff and a lot of potential, but we’ve seen it and I don’t think we need to see it again with a live action coat of paint.

Next up there’s Codename Kids Next Door. Honestly, I think the only real spinoff we need for Kids Next Door is Galactic. That’s it. Anything else is unnecessary. Still, with this sort of concept an older KND who has been decommissioned and feels like there’s something missing in their lives that they just don’t understand would be really cool. Although maybe that would work as like a movie or special or somethin’ I don’t know.

And finally for the last of the honorable mentions we’ve got Teen Titans. While I am trying to keep this list to CN Originals, I couldn’t help but bring this one up. How Long is Forever is one of my all-time favorite episodes of the 2003 series so I think seeing a series taking place in that timeline or something similar would be a lot of fun maybe for like a miniseries or something. And honestly, anything’s better than Titans.

With those three out of the way, back to the list.

Number 3: 

The Life and Times of Juniper Lee

In a world full of monsters and demons, June is the only one who sees them. This is the Life and Times of Juniper Lee and it makes number three on my list.

Now, like Time Squad, I didn’t watch much of this show. But what I do know about this show is that June is cool and she’s got this whole legacy and destiny by being the newest Te Xaun Ze, which are basically the magical protectors of her town. Only problem, and why I think that this direction for this show would actually be kinda cool, is the whole thing that the Te Xaun Ze is never allowed to leave the town at any point in their lives and oh boy, you could actually go really hard on that with this format since it’s literally built into the show.

Juniper Lee all grown up and just straight up depressed because she’s got the cool powers and grabs all the monsters but everyone around her has moved on in their lives. Friends have gone off to college and started all their lives and she’s got nothing but her family in Orchid Bay. You’d have a story of someone who once was big on their destiny who has accepted it but wishes that it wasn’t theirs anymore. I do know the show dealt with this a bit but with a new continuity and an older version of the character you really could just go in and deep on this.

I stand by that this would actually be pretty cool and kinda want it. Honestly, I like this idea so much that I wasn’t sure whether to put this in the number three or the number two spot, but y’know what? The next show told me a little secret that gave it the edge.

Number 2: 

The Secret Saturdays

That’s right, it’s the Secret Saturdays. 

Zak Saturday went all around the world with his parents discovering ancient cryptids, protecting the world and everything. He got some cool siblings in Fiskerton, Komodo and Zon. And then to add on top of that that he’s also the reincarnation of an ancient cryptid set to rule and control all the cryptids in the world? Yeah, that’ll do it. Definitely not the type of life he asked for and kid went through a lot because of it especially after losing those powers and apparently getting them back if we’re to count the Omniverse crossover TGIS to be canon.

But having parents like Zak’s, everything with the community of Secret Scientists and not really having many friends his own age or well, his own species will do that.

Exploring Zak and maybe Argost coming back for powers he might not want anymore and learning to embrace his destiny while also trying to patch up the Saturday family would be awesome.

Number 1:

Dexter’s Laboratory

Now while I know we already have a live action Dexter and it was an incredible hit, I- Wait, not the same show.

Ahem, Dexter’s Laboratory makes the top of this list. Partially because of it being PPG’s sister series but also partially because of the whole thing of there’s a lot you could do with Dexter’s character in terms of depression. If someone with such a high intellect were to somehow lose it all or just in some way, never really got forward in life, that would do it. Dexter could be a type of character that’s too stuck inside his own head in order to move forward. Alternatively, maybe Dexter is highly successful but has found there’s something missing in life or something. I dunno.

But whichever way you decide to go with Dexter’s character, you could have Dee Dee be pretty much the opposite of that. Maybe she’s found herself a place in life that she’s content with and Dex doesn’t understand why but wants it. I think going deep on this sort of emotional aspect of his life while also having all sorts of fun crazy science stuff would be a good watch.

All in all, gimme a Dexter’s lab show but we gotta make sure he keeps some form of an accent. No accent is a dealbreaker.

Although, I think that at the end of the day, animation should really just stay animated and that we don’t need to go live action for anything. All of these ideas I’ve presented, I’d of course rather prefer as cartoons with a more balanced tone more than anything but I figured with the announcement of a PPG show, this would be a silly but fun idea to talk about rather than ranting about it like most have. Granted, I’ve got some rants of my own since I still think it’s a bad idea. Haha. But you know how it goes.

At any rate those are all the shows I think would make better CW PPG style reboots than CW PPG. When it comes to the edginess and potential for drama, I feel these shows fit the bill better than the innocent, buttkicking action that was the Powerpuff Girls.

But what do you all think? Do you have any shows in mind that I haven’t mentioned? Do you think I’ve opened Pandora’s Box and given The CW more awful ideas?

ok so, I watched the first ep of rbay again and now i wanna write--

(be prepared because this is TOO long)

So, there are some stuff there that was never brought up again, and this time I’m going to talk about Star Warriors (but a little, since I didn’t finish the anime yet)

OK SO i dunno where to start so this’ll be a huge mess but---

You see Kirby’s warp star?? Well, Meta Knight said that is the source of energy for Kirby, in the same ep, Kirby’s (and the w. star) color changes to green. What I think for this is that:

This is more gijinka based (sorry aldfjdk), but if Kirby’s (and any other born star warrior, with Meta Knight being the exception [he wasn’t really born as one but he still needs it, but that’s for anoTHER TIME---]) warp star (his life source) is away from him for a period of time, the star color changes to green (if it already is like that, then to a more darker shade of it, yeah original (?), indicating that its owner is at their weakest point. The star warrior’s face turns into a slight green, their blush marks are darker (in extreme cases, the blush is almost transparent), and they look very tired (like a zombie? yeah). If they are like this for a few hours, they’ll die, so it’s important to keep their life souce near them.

and yeah that’s it, but i didn’t came here to write just that so:

When creating a Star Warrior (the only ones being able to do that are some beings like the ancients, with the difference that they’re considered gods, no i’m not talking about void but that sounds cool), the first and most important thing is the star, there the creator puts the soul, love and power (this is subject to change tho since i’m not sure). Star Warriors can exist without a physical body, but they won’t be able to fight unless they fit (?) with some requirements.

To kill a SW (this sounds bad sldfjskldf), the only known way to do that is by shattering their life source (it’ll be easy if it’s weak, the person is a child or teenager, or if they aren’t strong enough). You can cut their body parts but they’ll still live (they’ll just be unable to fight).

Once the star is shaterred, the pieces glow and transform into dust, and then go to the galaxy to form a new star (this is related to another hc). Meanwhile, the soul will fuse with the love and strenght they developed and go to the afterlife. They won’t need to wait to be accepted there, since their title is very well respected and also their life was devoted to help the galaxy in general (unless you are a dumbhead and just did the countrary).

Also, once someone is there, they’ll never come back UNLESS it’s necessary or some god from there let them (yeah, you can beg to reincanate or revive, but the request will most likely be declined), well, you can still visit as an angel, but that’s just rare cases, like to send messages or help (like in battle, for example. But those last two things only happen if the situation is VERY fucked up)

Buuut in Star Warrior’s cases, they’ll still need the star if they have or want to come back (going to elaborate on that later), so to solve that, the god that’ll send them will search for it and bring it back to the soul. Still, it’s very rare for a SW to go back to life, and no, they can’t reincarnate becauuuseeee (yes, this is the thing i wanted to elaborate):

The star can’t be replicated, you can make something like it but it’s never going to be the same because there is always one thing or two missing, and that’s mroe notorious when you try to replicate a former Star Warrior’s star. I dunno why since I’m not that sure, sooooooo idk lsdjkgklsg

Now I wanna change the subject to Meta Knight, y’know that some people believed (I guess?) that he could be Nightmare’s son? Because hell yeah, he is his son in this AU (I feel bad for him sdljds). SO:

Nightmare was expanding his army of monsters when he wanted to recreate one of the most powerful life beings. Since it’s impossible to create a god (unless you’re one lsdjf), and the ancients are like, normal life forms but with way too much knowledge and power they gained (they weren’t born with that [yes another hc], so that was a problem), he went to the second most powerful ones, the Star Warriors. It was hard, but he did it, not going into details because my imagination can’t reach that but yeah, that’s kinda how he created MK.

Like I said before, of course that MK is not a real one, so there are some differences between him and other SW’s like Kirby. What are those differences??? I wish I knew sñdfkgslñfgk. But yeah, he easily pass as a genuine star warrior, except to the uh, original-creators-and-gods-and-i-can’t-come-up-with-a-name-for-them-hhhhhh.

BuuUUUUuuUUUuuuUuuUuuuuuT

Since he was the first (and only) attempt, he has some “failures” (only for Nightmare tho), so he doesn’t act like a real monster, because he can learn, develop, grow, think and feel (yeah, like anyone here, except for the mentioned monsters)

Also

Monsters when dying just vanish, never to be seen again.

Meta Knight would have vanished when his time comes, BUT I love MK so:

Rebelling from Nightmare wasn’t enough, but the fact that he can love was the thing that he would, at least, go to the afterlife in peace. And Galaxia was just the cherry at the top (?), that is a no-hell-for-you guaranteed (since i just put my afterlife hc then why not hell lol, morpho visits that place sometimes)

ALSO

There was a belief that Galaxia absolutely couldn’t be even touched by a monster, or another life form from the uhhh “dark side” (ah yes star wars my dudeessss), but Meta just proved that wrong. So, Galaxia can’t be wielded by someone (doesn’t matter the species) who doesn’t have the requirements (i dunno what they could be exactly oof) (and YES, this is based from a fanfic i read, i think it was “kirby and their two dumbass dads”)

... and since this is too long (sorry alfjsdlkj) i’m going to leave it like this now... BUT i have more sjfsklgj

Your Scooby doo au seems fun and fit for this month, I love it :)

Thank you, I am sooooooo very pumped about it. I am now facing my reoccurring problem that, really, I don’t have to set up every story I do as if it’s going to be a series....I am somewhat failing at this so expect some small hints of larger character backstories/ bigger universe.

I also have no self-control and am way too excited about this so here’s one of the first scenes:

“Come on, not again!” Iwaizumi whacked at Oikawa’s legs. “Feet off the dash!”

“Ow,” Oikawa pouted. “Iwa-chan, so cruel! Dashboard as a leg rest is shotgun’s rights. Everyone knows that! This is tyranny! Tyranny!”

“Deal with it.” Iwaizumi rolled his eyes. “I don’t want your weird toes in my face while I’m driving.”

“What makes them weird,” Oikawa complained.

“Agreed, Iwaizumi’s a terrible oppressor,” Kuroo said from the back seat. “Hey, speaking about rights of the oppressed, when are we going to swap out so the rest of us get better leg room.”

“But, I’m navigating!” Oikawa held up his giant, overgrown map like a shield.

“And I don’t trust you driving ever since you asked if putting it in second gear made it swap to a second engine” Iwaizumi said bluntly to Kuroo.

Bokuto blinked. “It doesn’t?”

Iwaizumi sighed. “Plus, I’m the only one that can drive stick.”

“There’s more room in the back,” Suga offered. “If you don’t mind moving around all our stuff.”

“Technically, it’s illegal to ride in the back of a van unless you have a seat belt,” Oikawa commented idly, most likely just to be annoying.

“Practically, there’s no one around for miles so who’s going to stop me,” Kuroo said, gesturing to the large empty roads surrounded by nothing but trees and unkempt fields. He turned back to Suga. “Thanks, though, I’d rather stick here and complain if it’s all the same.”

“I should’ve guessed,” Suga said, shaking his head. 

Privately, Iwaizumi thought it said something about his excruciatingly high tolerance of all of his friends that he didn’t even miss a beat as Bokuto--apparently done with quietly fidgeting--decided to hang halfway across the front seat divider to fiddle with the radio.

“Aww, why is it nothing but static,” Bokuto said.

“Because Oikawa’s leading us to the middle of nowhere,” Iwaizumi said.

“This camping road trip isn’t secretly your plan to murder us all, right?” Kuroo poked at the back of Oikawa’s neck until he swatted his hand away. “Because Bo and I were swayed by the notion of friendship and the best of cross country dining and I, for one, will be very put out if I instead become a meal for your sudden and inexplicable cannibal urges.”

Oikawa turned up his nose. “Please, you all know I have better taste than that. The only one of you I’d even consider eating is Suga.”

Suga smiled. “I’m touched.”

Oikawa blew him a kiss.

The engine coughed before revving loudly.

“.....where did you say you found this van again,” Iwaizumi asked.

“Oh, you know….places,” Oikawa answered vaguely, “the point is it was very, very cheap and very roomy. Perfect for a last summer road trip! So, you’re all welcome!”

“If we ever make it to the campgrounds,” Kuroo remarked.

“How far is it,” Bokuto asked, leaning across Kuroo and over the seat to squint at Oikawa’s giant map.

“Um,” Oikawa answered. “It’s….just a little….”

“You know I could just use my phone,” Suga said.

“No, no phones. Finding it on here is half the fun,” Oikawa said. “Look, see, it’s just a couple more hours.”

“That’ll be night,” Iwaizumi said.

Bokuto’s stomach growled.

“Well, maybe we can stop for food before we get there,” Oikawa relented. “Here, take that road, I’ll find something.” 

Iwaizumi complied while Oikawa quickly buried himself in the map.

“It’s forking off, right or left,” Iwaizumi asked.

“Left,” Oikawa said decisively.

Iwaizumi blinked, staring as the two roads came closer into view. “Left? Are you sure?”

“Yep,” Oikawa didn’t look up from the map. “Why?”

On the right was a well-paved road leading to clear open fields with signs, trailing freely off into the sunset.

The left was covered entirely in arches of old trees--crooked limbs hanging over the road and blocking out the light so thoroughly that it looked like the black itself was trapping in the cracks that lined muddy pavement. Somewhere, in the distance, there was a shirek that was quite possibly bats.

“Um,” Suga said.

Bokuto inched down and covered his eyes. 

“Seriously,” Kuroo asked.

“Left, definitely left,” Oikawa insisted, still not looking up. “Just trust me! I got the map, right?”

Iwaizumi went left.

They went a few more minutes before Oikawa finally glanced up, blinking at the sudden shadows. ��Shit, maybe it was right.”

“I hate you,” Kuroo said flatly.

“I’m turning around,” Iwaizumi said.

He jerked the wheel to turn just as the engine spluttered again before letting out a wheeze. The lights went off with a click just as the car dropped down and died.

“Crap,” Iwaizumi muttered, turning the key again only to hear more wheezing. “Oikawa, this van sucks!”

“No, come on, it’s just…,” Oikawa waved a hand. “You can fix it, yeah, Iwa-chan? You can fix anything!”

Iwaizumi gave him a look even as he climbed out to get the service kit from the back and popped the hood.

“I’m looking up directions,” Suga said, already pulling out his phone.

“But….but, map!” Oikawa held it up even as it drooped around him.

“Great,” Kuroo said, “we can use it for shelter when we’re stuck out here and have to take up foraging.”

Bokuto brightened. “Ooh, I’ve got a pocket knife!”

“Yay, we’ll need it to fight off the wolves,” Kuroo said.

“I don’t think it’s that dire,” Suga said, showing them the screen. “There’s a town pretty close by. Can’t find a taxi or a towing service, though. We may have to walk if Iwaizumi can’t fix it. It’s about an hour.”

Kuroo shrugged. “Honestly, Iwaizumi can probably fix it. He’s like the machine whisperer or something.”

“Iwaizumi cannot fix it,” Iwaizumi said from right beside the passenger window and Oikawa jumped. “The transmission’s out.”

“Then, put it back in,” Bokuto suggested.

Iwaizumi stared. “I’m seriously having all of you read a car manual one of these days. It’s broken; we’ll need to go to town for the replacements, if they have anything for something this old. Thing’s from like the late 60s or something.”

Oikawa swallowed, eyes filing with dread. “So, does that mean….”

“Good news, we’re really going to get to explore nature.” Iwaizumi held open the door. “We’re walking.”

#8 Boy-Crazy Stacey: Chapter 10

Stacey makes a fool of herself. And she’s still a bitch.

I guess Stacey wrote this notebook entry to Kristy on a mini-postcard, because it's all abbreviated and sounds like she's updating her Twitter: K- Noth. new to rept. Kids fine. B. still afrd. of H2O. -S. You know Kristy is enjoying this, because it sounds all official, like she's getting a daily briefing from her troops.

Or, maybe she's being concise in her BSC update, because her postcard to Claudia has an entirely different tone. Basically, it's her lamenting to Claudia that she's such a jerk and she wouldn't listen to Mary Anne about Scott and she feels like such a jerk and just wouldn't listen to Mary Anne's warnings and did I mention she thinks she's a jerk and she should have paid attention to Mary Anne? Seriously, that's all the postcard is, those things repeated over and over again. She ends by saying she'll explain in the next postcard, then tells us she had to write Claudia three more postcards to tell her the whole story. Holy crap, Stacey, why didn't you just write an actual letter to Claudia and save yourself three stamps? I'm sure you could find a piece of paper and an envelope somewhere. Maybe she was so heartbroken, she couldn't think straight.

Stacey explains that she was having a great time in Sea City. Her hair's now two shades lighter, thanks to the Sun-Lite. So how is she going to explain that to her parents? "It was the sun, honest!" She's got actual tan lines at the edges of her skimpy little bikini that makes her look sooooooo sophisticated. And she bought a new bikini in town. In case you care, it's pink with palm trees and parrots all over it. Which sounds more like something Claudia would wear. But don't worry, Claudia's still kind of sophisticated, so Stacey's sophistication hasn't been affected!

Mary Anne, however, hasn't been faring as well. Her sunburn's gone but she's now dealing with the aftermath of blotchy pink skin. So she isn't in a good mood about that and is still staying under the umbrella as covered up as possible when they go to the beach.

Oh, and Stacey’s diabetes hasn't been an issue and her mom has only called twice! So Stacey is sitting pretty at this point, especially because the best part is she's been spending lots of time with Scott! Saturday, the Pike parents make another run for it so they don't have to spend time with the kids and head to Atlantic City, so Stacey and Mary Anne are in charge. Maybe that’s how the Pikes can afford this huge beach house every year - they’re good at gambling!

Stacey spends the whole day ignoring her responsibilities and parks herself up by the lifeguard stand, leaving Mary Anne alone. By the end of the day, Mary Anne is royally pissed off and accuses Stacey of spending too much time with Scott, while leaving her to do all the work. Stacey, in turn, pulls the "UR JUST JELIS!!!!!!!!" card. Seriously, let me post the next two paragraphs in their entirety so you all can see what a heinous bitch Stacey is. And I usually reserve that term for talking about Dawn or Kristy at their worst, so you know this is bad:

Personally, I think she was jealous. And if I were Mary Anne, I'd have been jealous, too. That nerdy mother's helper had been hanging around her endlessly, and the two of them were always doing stuff with the kids, like building sand castles, or collecting shells to make a moat around the towels and umbrellas. Mary Anne says I'm not spending enough time with the children, but I AM doing something important when I'm on the beach. I post myself by the lifeguard stand and watch the kids when they're in the water - and Adam and Jordan are in the water nonstop. I can't help it if Scott talks to me every now and then, or asks for a soda or something.

Oh my, where do I start. First off, she honestly thinks Mary Anne's jealous that she’s off flirting with an 18-year-old lifeguard? And she hasn’t even met the mother's helper guy and she's calling him a nerd and assumes he's bothering Mary Anne. The Pikes should be paying HIM because he's doing the job Stacey’s getting paid for! Of course they're playing with the kids; they're babysitters, it's their responsibility to watch over the kids, something Stacey isn’t doing! I still can't get over her accusing Mary Anne of being jealous. I guess everyone can't be a sophisticated New Yorker, with barely-there bikinis and heavenly boobs that fill out said bikinis. Part of me kind of wishes that Mary Anne tattled on Stacey, just to see how the Pikes would react. But since they're such free-spirits, with almost no rules, they probably wouldn't care. And Mary Anne's such a doormat, she'd never speak up, so there goes that fantasy. 

And way to pretend you're doing your job, Stacey. Someone's in denial! Adam could get pulled away by a riptide and Stacey would be too occupied with fetching Scott a can of soda to notice.

So while Mary Anne's watching the Pike Army with the help of the boy mother's helper (who deserves a medal for going out of his way to keep helping Mary Anne), Scott inflates Stacey ego some more by telling her she's beautiful. And she swoons because the only other people who call her beautiful are her parents. Well, and herself, but I don't think that counts. He gets cut off from telling her something else so he can blow one of his many whistles to alert some kids they're out too far in the ocean. See, Stacey? He isn't neglecting his job! And you know the kids he's warning are Adam and Jordan, who Stacey claimed she was watching.

Stacey asks him what he meant to say before he was rudely interrupted by those damn kids who were too far out in the water and Scott quickly says she's the greatest. Stacey giggles to herself that he's just too shy to tell her up front that he LUVS her too. Yeah, you keep telling yourself that, honey.

Later that afternoon, Stacey tries talking with Mary Anne, who isn't saying much and obviously wants nothing to do with her. Stacey tries making conversation and offers to get her a soda but it's no use. That's pretty much the only interaction they have the rest of the day until they leave the beach.

Stacey says Mr. and Mrs. Pike returned from Atlantic City in a “great mood,” so I think we can all conclude what they did there in between winning enough money to pay for next year's trip to Sea City. They're in such a good mood, they decide to be nice and spend the evening with their kids, giving Stacey and Mary Anne the night off. Mrs. Pike invites them to come with the family to Gurber Garden, so they can use Nicky's coupon for four free dinners, but says they can go off on their own too. Stacey's excited and begs Mary Anne to not be mad at her, so they can have fun for the next five hours. Mary Anne began to look a teeny bit interested. And by the time our bikinis were off, we had showered, and our boardwalk clothes were on, she was actually speaking to me. That makes it sound like they showered together! I guess Stacey decided to use her powers of persuasion.

They select their boardwalk outfits carefully, Stacey hoping they run into Scott. Oh, you will...it just won't be as you imagined it.

Their boardwalk outfits are actually pretty decent. Stacey's wearing a white cotton vest over a pink cotton dress, and has a big white bow in her hair that's flopping over the side of her head. Ok, it was good up until the bow. Mary Anne has nothing she feels like wearing so Stacey loans her some of her stuff. Mary Anne ends up wearing yellow pedal pushers, a white and yellow striped tank top and an oversized white jacket. Ok, her's was good up until the white jacket. It makes it sound like she's wearing a lab coat over her outfit. And if Stacey's got magical boobs of wonder and Mary Anne doesn't, that tank top must be baggy on her.

They have dinner at a burger place, and Mary Anne has fudge for dessert. Stacey obviously can't. Then they go and buy souvenirs. Mary Anne gets visors for Dawn and Kristy, and Stacey gets Claudia a bright yellow t-shirt with a surfer on it because she thinks the surfer looks like Scott. Oh, that'll be fun explaining that gift. "Oh this shirt I'm wearing with my purple plaid capri pants and matching high-tops? My best friend bought it in Sea City. She said the surfer looks like this guy she had a crush on who then broke her heart. Dibble, right?"

After they play some arcade games, Mary Anne suggests they go for a ferris wheel ride. On the way there, I'm sure Stacey is puzzled at all the teenage/college-aged girls wearing whistles around their necks. They buy their tickets and the guy in the booth calls Stacey “cutie.” Mary Anne is getting denied here! While they're on the ferris wheel, Stacey decides out of the blue that she should buy Scott a present. "Hmph" is the only response she gets from Mary Anne. I guess she takes that as a yes because once they get off the ferris wheel, she drags Mary Anne to practically every gift shop on the boardwalk.

While Stacey ponders what to get him, she says Mary Anne waits in each shop patiently. Though knowing Mary Anne, she's suppressing the rage and saving it up, making herself a ticking time bomb that explodes when she lets all that pent-up anger loose at a later time. Among the gifts Stacey chooses, then unchooses, are a book about shells (what), a blue hat, and a custom-made t-shirt that says "STACEY + SCOTT = LUV." Yikes. More like if she gave that shirt to Scott, it would be "STACEY + SCOTT = CREEPY" or "STACEY + SCOTT = RESTRAINING ORDER."

They come to a candy shop and Stacey, ignoring the fact that just being around chocolate will make her go into diabetic shock, runs in and drops 10 bucks on a giant, red satin, heart-shaped box of chocolates. She triumphantly shows her gift to Mary Anne, who's looking at something else. She tries to stop Stacey from looking but it's too late. Stacey turns around to find Scott behind her, curled up on a bench and sucking face with an OLDER GIRL. Well, older for Stacey, because the girl was at least 18. And, to make matters worse, she's curvy and gorgeous!

Ok, does anyone have an inkling that Mary Anne purposely made herself look distracted so Stacey would look and see Scott "cheating" on her, just so she would stop lusting after him and go back to doing her job? Or is her evil side not big enough to pull that off?

Stacey thrusts the box of chocolates at Mary Anne and says, "Guess I won't be needing this. You take it. You deserve it. You were right all along. Enjoy your prize." Then she breaks down sobbing. Surprisingly, Mary Anne doesn't join her in crying and instead puts her arm around Stacey walks her back to the house. LEAVING THE BIG EXPENSIVE BOX OF CHOCOLATES ON THE BENCH!!!!! This annoyed from the first time I read this book years ago and it still annoys me. Stacey spent 10 freakin dollars on that, bring it back home with you!

This is originally an ask game that’s making the rounds here on Tumblr, but in this blog of course I answer everything. Quarantine Ask Game; questions by ghostly-nblm What’s your go-to snack? I haven’t really have one throughout this lockdown. I just snack on whatever’s available in our pantry - usually we have potato chips, salted egg chips, nuts, etc. And then sometimes my dad will whip up something for us himself, like wicked Oreos, churros, corndogs, and chocolate chip cookies. What’s a movie you could watch over and over? I could probably watch The Proposal everyday for the rest of my life and I doubt you’ll hear a complaint out of me. It’s just so funny, so lighthearted, and the entire cast meshes very well together. Favorite show to binge? Again when it comes to comfort shows/movies, I pick the lighthearted ones because they get me to relax and laugh a lot. That said, my favorite show to binge would be Friends. I recently started binge-watching it again and it feels good to come back to it after several months of not seeing an episode. 5 songs that make you want to dance? 5 songs that make you feel less lonely? I don’t know if I’ve ever turned to music to feel less lonely...I never really seek out that particular feeling. If anything, I listen to certain songs because I feel alone and I would want it to stay that way for the meantime.

Favorite meal to cook yourself? I always blank out at these cooking questions because I don’t know how to make anything, soz. When I start earning my own money I swear I’ll start experimenting with ingredients in the kitchen. You heard it here first. Seriously guys, when I finally get a stable income and you notice me spending it on unnecessary shit, feel free to nag me and tell me to start cooking!!! How do you “treat yourself”? With food. Food has always been my reward to myself after a long week, a hard exam, a bloody presentation, and basically after getting through something I had been dreading for a long time.   Favorite thing to do when doing self care? My family, I guess. “The most” is really pushing it though; I don’t talk a lot these days and it’s been difficult for me to sustain a conversation and not drain my battery in the middle of it. We miss the shit out of each other. Do you have any pets? Yes :) Small update on my dogs: so for the last four months Kimi has hated having Cooper around and snarls every time he senses he’s nearby. But, and we have no clue what changed, now he has started humping Cooper and wants to be near him all the time...ugh. Favorite video games? At the early early phase of the lockdown I played Mario Kart 8 on the Switch all day long. Then for some reason I stopped and I haven’t played since like April. I haven’t played other video games. Favorite podcasts? Ear Biscuits. Andi has also started their own podcast and it debuted like a week ago; it looks extremely promising, but I’m super behind since I’ve deleted all my socials. I’ll catch up once I’m in the right state of mind and am feeling better enough to come back on my accounts. Favorite YouTubers? The main channels I watch are Good Mythical Morning and The Try Guys. But throughout the quarantine sooooooo many local celebrities have started their own vlog channels and majority of them are super fun to watch. My faves would be Andi Manzano’s, Manny Pacquiao’s daughter Mary’s, and Bea Alonzo’s. Wake up time? These days I try to be out of bed by 8:30 so I can sufficiently prepare and clean up for work, but early on in the lockdown I liked staying up all night and then waking up at like 9 or 10 AM. Sleep time? Anywhere from 10 PM to 1 AM. If you could go anywhere right now where would it be? I’d be in Sagada, vacationing by myself and doing some hiking, spelunking, reflecting, and soul-searching. I wish I can go back there someday; I just reallllly need to be out of the house and out of the city for a while.

What’s a change you want to keep when self isolation is over? There is nothing I wish to keep from this quarantine. It turned my entire life around and I wish I had all the things I had before it instead. Have you learned something? Yeah. Some of them the hard way. Any new skills? I took up a course on marketing last month so that was a lot of fun. Hobby-wise, I’ve been thinking of getting into cross-stitching so I can’t wait to buy my own kit and start with that. I’m also learning a lot of new and super helpful skills at work, like coming up with PR tactics/executions, knowing what will work for a client and what wouldn’t, photo editing, etc. It’s been the best internship experience ever. What’s a hobby you’d like to start learning? ^ The latter. I’d also love to learn how to bake, and maybe? start a vlog because it’d be nice to have an outlet where I can express myself and do new things while sharing my experiences with other people. What’s something you’d like to get better at? I constantly want to improve at my job because perfectionism. What food do you wish you had right now? Coffee shop pastries. :( God I haven’t had one of those in a while; I miss them loads. Your go to quarantine outfit? Social media has made me become more tired of life (?????? If that makes sense??????)

I didn’t delete the social apps that usually use just in case someone wants to contact me but I did delete them from my Home Screen just so I can get somewhat of a break from it and to help me mentally, since I’ll be starting school August 22nd

I feel I’ve been too dependent on my friends’ response and opinions whenever I text them about what’s on my mind, but I just feel they’re not reciprocating the same vibes as I am if I were the one to listen to their rants. I know some are in school full time (which I’ll be too) and are working full time, but I would really appreciate it if they reciprocate the vibes I give them back to me, but whatever

I guess I need another break to focus on myself and needs and learn not to be dependent on my friends

I hate that I have a lot of close friends that I can tell anything to, but I still feel lonely ????? Which sucks bc my life has been so hard this year that I feel like it will never get better, but I be praying for the best to happen soon (but I’m not religious so maybe it won’t help lol)

I wish I was born rich (but not spoiled brat rich ofc) so that way I don’t have to suffer financially

I wish my parents would go back to their birth country and I stay here alone and maybe live w my uncle and put my / my parents belongings in a storage center bc that’ll be cheaper to pay than rent

It’ll be hard for me to go to school if I did have to live w my uncle bc it’ll be so far but it’s probably worth it bc I’ll be saving $$$ and won’t have to suffer financially as much

I really hope Walmart will hire me ASAP bc I know if they hire me and let me work the hours I can work then I’ll probably have enough to pay rent and bills and might have some left over for myself !!!! Bc I like to spend money on food for myself since I’m not a materialistic person !

I’m glad I made a new friend for this semester bc I always enjoy making new friends (hope to make more during the semester but I’m super shy !!!) also my new friend is so considerate!!! Personality: Nova is the current princess of mewni. She seems SUPER awkward at first, but to her closest friends and family, Nova’s the life of the party. She has a very bubbly personality, and can become sort of annoying, but when the situation becomes serious, Nova knows how to control herself becomes calm, usually during royal events. Nova usually gets distracted easily and has problems with daydreaming while she’s trying to stay focused.

Interests: Nova loves sleep & dreaming . And not just those in general. So I watched Citrus ⚠SPOILER WARNING⚠

And I have issues with it. Now Ive never read the manga a day in life. Ive seen fan art of it however and knew it existed but never what it was about. If im missing out on some parts message me and explain please. I’m not going to hate the show. I don’t hate the show at all. I just have issues with it. Now here’s my thoughts.

Note there’s only 5 episodes on Crunchyroll but here’s my thoughts so far

So Mei is the Class President and has been since she was a first year. Her grandfather is a Chairman of the school and Mei’s father marries Yuzu’s mother and they move to another district. For some reason Yuzu’s mom forgets to tell her that she’s got a younger step sister and for some reason Yuzu’s never seen her new stepfather. But Im gonna ignore that.

Yuzu wants to fall in love and get a first kiss and get a boyfriend. Nice plan for a high schooler. So she walks in and this girl with springy pig tails named Momokino gives her shit. Mei comes up and feels up and down Yuzu to get her phone from her pocket. Later on in the day she meets her friend Harumin. Harumin explains to her that everyones not outgoing and follows the strict rules. Oh and um everyone looks EXACTLY the same. Black and/or purpley hair, beige top, greenish plaid skirt, all shy and reserved.

So it’s implied all the girls in this all girl school fuck each other before they get married off to someone after high school. So fast forward and Yuzu finds the hot teacher and Mei kissing and later it’s said theyre supposed to be married to each other. Later in the day Mei goes to Yuzu and her moms apartment and then Yuzu making an effort to talk to Mei and get along as step sisters. Mei ignores her this entire time so Yuzu has to talk about a subject that’ll strike a nerve to get conversation. Mei takes her down and kisses her.

At that moment I do the Oprah gif where she’s squinting. It’s not incest cuz they’re not real sisters but I’m sure a good majority would argue it is and I can understand that but lets ignore the incest is wincest meme right now.

At this point Im sure Im missing a lot of aspects in the anime and manga. I know that there’s a good following for the manga but i haven’t seen much for the anime cept a few screenshots and comparisons to the manga. This is what I think about the characters and plot watching it blind I guess.

Mei….bothers me. Characters like her I have an issue with because they always initiate the first move like kissing them or some shit and then are always confused about why the Protag is so confused and can’t control their emotions. I don’t usually watch romance anime like this in fact the only one I liked was My Little Monster and Sakura Kiss but that’s another thing. I get it Mei you and your dad have a bad relationship and haven’t seen him in five years and you live alone. Alright I get it but that doesn’t give you the right to fuck with Yuzu like that.

I’ve seen a post that Mei is literally sexually assaulting Yuzu and that it’s a toxic relationship but I don’t wanna go that far. Ill just chalk it up to anime being anime. It’s not the first time we’ve seen characters force a kiss but back to the topic on hand.

Mei in the anime is such an unlikeable character. In Episode 3 Yuzu sees that Mei’s stuffed animal is ripped and she sews it back together as if nothing happened. Later in the episode when Yuzu has to stay at school late to clean the bathroom Mei goes through her stuff and finds a Manga named Peach Sisters and confronts her about it saying stuff like “if someone saw you with this theyd be disgusted” or “you should be ashamed.” so Yuzu kisses her and says all this is happening because she kissed her.

Finally we address the situation. Yuzu is absolutely right. All the shit that Mei detests so much is all her fault. She could’ve engaged in conversation and at least put in the same effort Yuzu was putting in and they would’ve bonded making the “romance” between them understanding. But no. Mei just completely ignores Yuzu and gives her the short end of the stick.

In episode 3 Mei says the only reason why she kisses her multiple times in the other episodes is to shut her up. But in episode 2 when the two girls fall in water Mei kisses and licks Yuzu’s neck while Yuzu is thinking about why she kissed her and Mei says “You looked like you wanted me to touch you.”

So what’s the truth Mei? Are you taking advantage of your older sister or are you not?

I hate Sasuke so much. Mei is starting to get close to that amount of hate. Yuzu is doing mental backflips to figure out her feelings and what to do while Mei is doing everything except thinking.

Oh yeah in episode 2 when Yuzu AGAIN tries to make an effort on what’s going on with Mei offering to help, Mei throws her on the bed and starts ripping her clothes off only to be caught by Old Grumpy Gramps. Yuzu is expelled and Mei does fuck all about it while in other times Yuzu stood up for Mei. In the begining of episode 2 while Mei gets chewed out by gramps Yuzu stands in front of her and says “if you want to get mad at someone get mad at me. She has nothing to do with this.” Gramps doesn’t listen and at the end of the episode gramps has a well deserved heart attack. And who helps him? Yuzu.

I think I’ve ranted about Mei enough now onto Yuzu. In the first episode she monologues to us about how she talks about having boyfriend’s and kissing them when she hasn’t even had her first kiss yet. I did the same thing in high school and Im sure others have too.

Yuzu is a likeable character. She’s blonde and has personality and very well rounded I guess? I don’t have problems with her. If anything I feel bad for her because of what Mei puts her through. It’s not only Mei. Is this other girl too. I can’t think of her name. Like this has taken me a few days to write when it shouldn’t. I think her names Kono-something but well get to her later.

Harumin is Yuzu’s friend in the situation and has NONE of an idea pf what’s going on with Yuzu and Mei however she’s there to help and is a pretty good friend. In episode 5 they share an indirect kiss when Harumin feeds Yuzu something from her lunch and they do it so naturally. As platonic as the relationship may be I prefer theirs over Yuzu and Mei’s SOOOOOOO much more. If this show threw a curveball and ended with Harumin and Yuzu being a thing I would NOT be upset and id accept it as such but that’s not gonna happen.

Now onto the friend. Her name is Kono or Kokno but for now let’s just call Kono. So she’s got purple hair with girl pigtails thats in curls and she’s the vice president. She’s known Mei for what seems like maybe Kindergarten? I dont know which school years are similar to ours (Im from America) but that’s just my guess. So Kono has this disdain for Yuzu because she doesn’t conform to rules and is all of sudden getting close to Mei. So after episode 3 in episode 4 she keeps asking Yuzu what the two did some conference room or what not and Yuzu doesn’t tell her so in Kono’s….trial to assert dominace over Yuzu she goes and licks and touches Mei’s ear. That turns into Mei moaning and then Kono slides her hand under her skirt and the scene cuts away to the afternoon sky. Later in the episode Kono tells Yuzu to meet her at a cafe or something and the two talk and Kono says they “crossed a line” which DOES NOT sound good by the way. Im not sure if that’s the english translation of what she said or what but it doesn’t sound okay (Im watching Sub). So Kono lies and says Mei wants NOTHING to do with Yuzu and never wants to see her again. Yuzu’s already thinking “but we live together”.

This whole time Im thinking the two might’ve fucked or something BUT in the episode 5 Mei tells her Kono made advances at her and she told her no or something. Kono sees the two walking outside of school and Mei tells her to stop putting weird thoughts in her head and Kono is sad and stands there.

In episode 4, Mei tells Kono that she and Yuzu are step sisters FINALLY and anytime Yuzu tries to be a good older sister Kono sees it as making advances on her.

I don’t like Kono. She’s very annoying. Im not sure if she was like that in the manga or not but again Im going in this anime blind.

She’s honestly very annoying and that’s just how I feel. Gets in the way and just don’t like her character.

Mei and Kono? Can’t stand Mei. Kono is…slightly tolerable.

Yuzu and Harumin? I like them. They have better chemistry than the romance intended.

I cannot stress how much context Im sure im missing and I WANT to read the manga and know stuff but sadly that’s just not possible. If ANYONE could link me to translated versions of it online great. Now Im gonna talk about the plot of this.

I don’t watch romance. The only two I watched and liked was Sakura Trick and My Little Monster. In the show My Little Monster there was plot. However little it was there was still plot but it kept it entertaining to watch. Sakura Trick barely had plot at all but it had a storyline and had lots of lesbian kisses. More than the entire anime industry combined and that’s where the show got it’s charm.

Another show I watched and liked called Yuru Yuri. The girls start a club. That’s it. Don’t ask anything more of them.

Citrus? If you asked what the plot was…I couldn’t give you a simple sentence answer. Im not sure…where this anime is going. I know they’ll end up together dispite them being step sisters but for the plot right now I have no clue what or where it is. I think it’s just me being stupid but right now I can’t really think of a plot. The closest I can think of is “two step sisters who have some things to work out.”

I don’t have any….comments on the animation. Modern. Clean. Looks nice for 2018 animation. Nothing really striking except when Yuzu is in uniform she’s very pleasing. Color scheme wise I mean. It’s no Ancient Magnus Bride so….I guess I mean….animation is okay I guess.

Overall, I don’t hate the anime. But I don’t love it. I have issues with it and Im going to continue to watch it cuz I want to see where this will go. I want to see Mei’s character growth and I want to see plot. I want to see this get good and I want to like this anime and Ill stick around as long as I can. After a few more episode’s Ill do a part 2 on what I think.

For now….3 outta 10. I’d have to have a lengthy conversation with someone before recommending this to them.

Wednesday morning, it was an awful morning. I was terribly tired, face buried in my pillow, and letting out a long and raspy groan at the sound of my alarm going off. Maybe I shouldn’t have gone to bed so late yesterday, but I thought that finishing my essay during the night was a better idea than doing it a bit each day and completing it the weekend. But there was the problem. Since I’ll be going to the party at SanHa’s fraternity, I prefer to finish it now and have a free weekend. Maybe free if no one give us homework on the meantime between today, and Friday evening. After a lot of efforts put together, I got up of my bed, staring blankly at the wall for a good minute, and then went take a shower, trying to wash the tiredness off. Not to mention, it didn’t totally worked, and I only want to go back to bed. But no. I have to go in class until the last one to finally go see Rocky for a bit. And I couldn’t hide that it was the only thing that motivated me to go through the day. But that also meant that I have to be cuter than usual, to keep a face in front of him. That’s why, after my shower, I walked to my closet and stood up for a while, staring at every pieces of clothing. And I tried to put two things that looked good together before adding a third, and another one. That’s how I finished with a white tank top, in my high-waisted jean. I really have a thing for high-waisted bottom uh. I took a flannel, a bit to hide my bare shoulder. And also to hide from the cold. We still were in the month of March, so, nop, too cold for only a tank top. Not forgetting to put my sneakers, eat breakfast and grab my coat before leaving, almost late. So, it was fun for the pedestrian, they looked at me, running down the way to the university, grabbing hard on my backpack. I ran until I was in front of my classroom and then stopped immediately, rearranging my hair. Shoot, I haven’t even put makeup on this morning. I’ll have to do it during my lunch break then. Once inside the room, I took my place, next to one of my best friend, Shin-Ae, and I leaned my head against her shoulder, quietly mumbling something close to a “good morning”, and she just patted my head with a laugh. “Wow, you look worse than usually, you don’t even have makeup on. Are you sick?” she couldn’t help but laugh when I looked at her with a yawn, before shaking my head, crossing my arms on the desk and leaning my head on it. Me, almost sleeping, was the first hour of the morning. I said sleeping? My bad, it was totally me, trying my best not to die while also trying to take notes, which was kind of a tough job. But after half of it, fighting against sleep, I started to feel better, more awake, and a part of this universe. It was at this moment that I looked around before pulling on Shin-Ae’s sleeve, tugging softly. “Do you think that I look good today? About my clothes. I’m going to see Rocky at the end of class, and I don’t want to look like some kind of joke beside him… I mean, he’s cute, and I look like… a goose.” She let out a little snort, rubbing little circles on my back, smiling at me. Before telling me that I look really cute, but I’ll look cuter with a hairdo and some makeup, and “she’s sooooooo gonna take care of that during lunch break”. What an angel, sometimes, I wonder what I’d without her, and the reply is: nothing, I’d be lost for my dates. But it wasn’t really a date with Rocky, so it wasn’t the matter right now. Was it? Just the thought of it being a date had my head spinning for a bit, biting slightly on my thumb, thinking about it for the rest of the morning, still taking notes, somehow. It’s true that we get along pretty well, and he is really cute, but… I don’t know, was it too soon? Too soon to go on a date? Come on, it’s just a date. Or maybe it wasn’t, actually. Lunch break was a true relief, eating a bit, thinking a lot. About everything. But I couldn’t just think too long before Shin-Ae pulled me on a chair in one of our classroom, and start doing my hair. She didn’t do much to it to be honest, just pulling it into a bit-messy bun, letting my fringe free. And when she did my makeup, oh boy, it was like being under the touch of a bunch of fairies. It was so nice and light. So peaceful. I could almost fell asleep under that touch. But I didn’t, and I ended with a really nice makeup, not too much on the eyes, not too much on the lips, something really natural, almost cute. Actually, I felt really cute for once. And her, she seemed like she had so much fun, taking care of me like a little doll or even a little girl. But me, I felt like seeing Rocky like that would be a piece of cake, since I was cute, I didn’t looked like some lost girl who cling to him because he’s so nice and so cute. I wonder if someone ever tried to act lost just to be with him for a bit. It wouldn’t even surprise me. Two more hours was spent in listening to the teachers, taking notes as always, and trying so hard to ignore all the little comments that everyone made once they saw me. It was from some guy telling that I was really pretty when I wanted to, to some girl saying that it wasn’t me, it didn’t suits me, and if it was for a guy, he probably won’t fall for me. So yeah, I decided that ignoring them was the best idea I could have today, before finally leaving the school. But seeing Rocky in front of the entrance door was quite unexpected. I mean, did he really knew where the literature building was, or he just guessed right. His head snapped up to look at me when he heard my footstep on the gravel. And I was greeted by his smile the second his eyes fell on me. “Wow, If I knew, I’d be wearing something a little more… I don’t know, classy? To match you.” Wow, is he serious? I mean, yeah, he don’t wear a tuxedo or nothing like that, but he’s really well-dressed. Shaking my head with a smile, I just looked at him before looking back at my school building. “Did you really knew where it was, or are you just a stalker?” “A stalker. Definitely.“ We burst into laughter after staring at it each other for way too long, and then, he explained to me how he knew. Actually, it was just Moonbin who told him where it was on the campus, because, of course that Binnie knew that. Even SanHa didn’t know where was my building, which was… not really surprising if we count that he didn’t even know where my apartment was. I mean, it’s SanHa, do we really need to add something here? During the walk to the coffee shop, the little talking was mostly about what we did those three last days. I mean, more him than me, since I just went to school, then went to work, before going back home and do my homework. But even though my days was pretty boring and tiring lately, he just listened to me complaining, and he complained with me at some point. Because it was fun to complain about things, like, school, homework, people. We really have a lot to complain about, and it’s nice to have someone that I can complain with. It was great to talk with him more than we did the last time, with the others. It was better to know each other that way, kind of easier. In front of us was standing a coffee shop that was way too familiar to me, since I usually work here after school. I didn’t mind coming here for a drink, since : first, I have a discount on everything because I’m an employee. Second, I could kill for their strawberry cake. But seeing me in one of my day off made my coworker laugh at the sight of me. “ Hey MeeJoo, you know that you don’t work on Wednesday? Or maybe you just missed seeing my face like I missed yours?” It was my turn to laugh, reading carefully the black boards with the drinks’ names on it, but nothing had change and I still know them all, them and what’s inside. “Mhmmm, no thank you, I’d rather have a drink.” And I winked to him, just to tease him before letting him take my command and Rocky’s one. We waited for it, with my comments on how slow my coworker was. We took a sit in one of the booth to be a bit more in a private space to talk. We just sat face to each other with our drinks displayed between us. My vanilla milkshake with my strawberry cake against his cold Americano and a simple chocolate crisp muffin. I took the opportunity of being on a banquette to be crossed-leg on it, doing my best to not let my feet touch the leather of the seat. It was way more comfortable this way. “Soooo.. You work here then? I’m sorry to bring you here during your day off… I just like this place.” He began, a bit embarrassed that it was my workplace, but I just brushed it off with a smile and a movement with my hand. “That’s okay, I like being here.. You should come Thursday afternoon, until 7, we could see each other that way !” Big smiles creep on both of our face. It could be way more nice to have him with me during work, it could make me feel less alone when there is no one with me, and it was always the case the Thursday afternoon. No coworkers, just me. The conversation went on, talking about what we do in our school course, what was the best and what was the worst in it. And he was so in love with dancing. The way he talked about it almost make me fall in love with it. With dancing, not in Rocky, slow down. He started to talk about their new project in dance, that’ll count in his grade for the semester, which was dancing with someone else. “ And of course, I chose Binnie as my partner, since I know him for a while now.” Of course. Strangely, with Rocky, it was always how Moonbin was nice, intelligent, knows a lot of things. But it was really cute to see him being his little hypeman, always there to say good things about him. It’s maybe what happen when you know someone for so long and never leave him on the side. And I thought about SanHa and me, we are close, we tell everything to the other, but since we aren’t together 24/7 like before, we prefer to roast each other when we’re together. And roast other people too. Not everyone have the lovey-dovey friendship apparently. While talking, my index finger drew little squares on the screen of my phone. We ate and drank but then, looking back at my phone, a question subsided in my mind, and I looked at Rocky “Tell me Rocky, how did you got my phone number ?”

“ Oh uh… I… First I asked SanHa but he refused because he didn’t want to be the one to ‘put us together’, so I stole his phone and tried to find by myself but I didn’t find your contact name…” He made a pause, reluctant to tell me how he did, so I decided to push him to do it “It’s probably CryBaby or something like that, if you ask me. But then how?” “ I asked Binnie, and he gave me your number.” Silence. The time my head process what he just said. It took me some attempts to finally talk, my mouth opening and closing a bunch of time before. “Why.. How did he do to have my number then?” I wasn’t even mad. Some sort of impressed and flattered, because we never talked before the diner. And so many girls were drooling over him. So, why me. “ I think he likes to have the number of people he want to talk to, but he never find the bravery to text you maybe. Do you want his phone number?” I let out a little “No thank you”, almost like a whisper. I’d love to talk to him, but I prefer to gather up the courage to ask his number directly, not like he did. But somehow, it’s cute that he wanted to talk to me for a while but never did. At the end of the afternoon, he decided that it was nice to escort me to my building to go home, once more. And it was quite useless to spend more time together, it’ll be just more and more awkward to have only one meeting where we talked about everything. We agreed to do that more often, before I climbed the stairs, finishing  my journey directly in my bed, not seeing the text on my phone before dozing off.

It all started one lazy afternoon at Neo Domino University. There was never the intention on sneaking around. However, when Yusei had started to neglect to update his friends on his whereabouts, Crow and Jack began to investigate as to where the spiky haired genius was running off to. This was, without a shadow of a doubt, one hundred percent, Yusei’s own fault.

“Where does he even go in the afternoons?” Crow asked as he was currently sprawled all over the couch in the commons area in the male dorm. “He’s usually either here in the dorm with you or he’s in the library doing his homework.” Crow waited for a response only to get silence in return. The orange haired teen rolled over to look over at his supposed talking companion and was no surprised to find the tall blond sitting in the beanbag chair (that Jack insisted that it should be called his throne) lazily playing with his phone. “Jack? Hello? Earth to the idiot with no brain!” Jack glanced in Crow’s direction before not so subtly giving him the finger and turning his attention back to the phone. Crow sighed heavily. “You’re useless to me.”

“Have you considered that Yusei might actually have a life outside of us Crow?” Jack responded. His amethyst colored eyes never once looking away from his phone.

“I know that!” Crow exclaimed. “I just-it feels like Yusei isn’t around very often you know?” Crow went back to laying on his back. “Like, it’s been ages since I talked to him.”

“You talked to him at breakfast this morning.” Jack pointed out as he sighed in annoyment. “And you also tackled him at lunch. If I had someone that never lets me get a break in the day, I’d be running away all the time too.”

“What about your fangirls?” Crow asked him. Jack Atlas had been the center of every girl’s attention. All the girls on the campus had pretty much dedicated their college lives to Jack’s college life. While the fan club was unofficial, it still amassed way too many members to be legal. Although, Jack never acknowledged the club unless it was to boost his ego, which was often. But he never acknowledged them in public.

“That’s different. I can retire to this dorm hall knowing that they’ll have a hard time getting in and they don’t know what room is mine. So, I can relax all day if I wanted to.” Jack explained. His voice remaining in his matter-of-fact tone.

“I guess that’s fair. Still. What about Yusei? Like he’s not the type to go out and party and to overly socialize.” Crow stated to Jack. Crow had only known Yusei for the past five years when they met through their mutual friend Kiryu Kyosuke. Despite the age difference in their friendship and their different backgrounds and upbringing, Yusei befriended Crow and they’ve been friends ever since.

“Why don’t you let this go Crow? He could be doing literally anything, like a project or he found a new homework spot.” Jack told the shorter teen. “I think you’re over thinking this.”

“Maybe you’re right. Mind if I nap in your room? I have a class in like an hour and it’s like right across the street and I really don’t feel like going all the way back to the freshman hall.” Jack laughed. “I’m serious Jack! Those dorms are a living hell! Why do we as freshman have to go through that?”

“Because freshman is full of the weak and natural selection will come for those that can’t survive in college.” Jack told him as he left his ‘throne’ with his keys in his hand. “Well let’s go and do me a favor and don’t drool on my pillows this time. I really don’t feel like more laundry than what I have to do.”

“Jack, since when do you do chores?” Crow joked.

“Better be nice to me if you want to nap in my fucking bed you little shit.”

“I’ll be good.” Crow promised as he followed Jack down the hall.

Later that night

            Crow was up later than what he normally would have been. Alas, the poor freshman had forgotten about a paper that was due the next day and decided to attempt to finish most of the paper at night. Luckily his classes on Fridays didn’t start until the afternoon and so he would have most of the morning to recover some sleep and edit the paper some more. It was reaching close to about one o’clock in the morning when Crow felt his phone vibrate off to the side of his desk. Quickly saving the document for fear of losing it he grabbed his phone and was surprised to find a text message from Jack.

            (12:49am) I’m willing to concede that you might be right.

(12:50am) About what exactly?????

(12:50am) Its fucking midnight and Yusei still isn’t back.

(12:50am) I DUCKING TOLD YOU

            (12:50am) *FUCKING

(12:50am) The library is already closed so he’s definitely not there and he’s not in the lounge.

(12:51am) Sooooooo

            (12:51am) Should we call the police?

            (12:51am) Or campus security

            (12:51am) Is there a possibility that he went home and just didn’t tell us?

            (12:52am) wait he’s got a test tomorrow

            (12:52am) Or I guess today technically

            (12:53am) WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU GO?!?!?!?!?!

(12:55am) I found him.

            (12:55am) He just got back and I was talking to him in the bathroom and asking where the fuck he was.

(12:56am) So???? What did he say????

(12:56am) He told me he was studying for his test tomorrow but I don’t buy it.

(1:00am) Wait why not?

(1:00am) Crow all the other buildings on campus have been closed already. And the all night study room door is currently being repaired so no one can use that right now.

(1:01am) SO WHERE THE FUCK WAS HE?

(1:01am) I have no idea but I don’t appreciate him avoiding the subject with his promises of breakfast this weekend.

(1:01am) Is it working??????

(1:05am) …maybe

(1:05am) DAMMIT JACK! WHAT HAPPENED TO BEING HEADSTRONG!?!?!?!

(1:05am) LISTEN!

            (1:05am) HAVE YOU EVER HAD YUSEI’S COOKING!

            (1:06am) I WOULD BE MORE THAN WILLING TO KILL SOMEONE FOR IT.

(1:06am) …that’s fair

            (1:10am) welp I’ve gotta finish this paper, in the meantime try to find out where the fuck Yusei was.

(1:10am) Will do.

12 hours later

            “Did you find anything?” Crow asked as he stumbled into Jack’s dorm room.

            “No and he’s gone for the afternoon again since he has two classes back to back.” Jack informed as he plopped down on his bed.

            “Like nothing at all?”

            “He told me not to worry about it, which of course now I’m worried about it even though I shouldn’t be.” Jack told Crow. “But I do have an idea on where he’s going after his classes.”

            “Where?!” Crow jumped with anticipation and scurried over to Jack’s bedside. “We gotta find out!”

            “The little coffee shop on campus, you know the one run by students?”

            “He goes there?” Crow questioned. Crow never imagined Yusei to be a coffee person, that was more of Jack’s thing. To be honest, Yusei was still the guy to drink Nesquik chocolate milk if given the opportunity.

            “Well, apparently, some of the guys on basketball team told me that he’s been there the last few times that they’ve been there.”

            “New homework spot?” Crow asked.

            “Not exactly.” Jack paused for a second while he sat up. “Apparently, he’s been there with a girl.”

            At that last comment, Crow’s mind short circuited. Crow’s mind started racing with questions. A girl? Who was the lucky one to grab Yusei Fudo’s attention? From the stories that he hears from Jack and later confirmed by Yusei, he’s never dated anyone ever. Except for Sherry Leblanc, but that lasted about a whole two weeks before they decided it was better to remain as friends. So, that doesn’t necessarily count. Yusei has also informed Crow that in high school he had no interest in dating anyone and that interest apparently hadn’t changed in his first year of college either. Which caused him to earn the nickname ‘Heartbreaker’ since no one was ever given a chance.

            “Holy shit.” Crow whispered.

            “That was my reaction when my teammates told me.” Jack replied. “We wait till just before Yusei’s classes are done and head on over to the coffee ship. Then we see who mystery girl is.”

            “Thank god my second class got cancelled or else I would have missed this.” Crow responded while simultaneously agreeing with Jack. “Time to find out who the future Mrs. Fudo is.”

Two hours later

“Oh cool! I’ll take a snickers frappe.” Crow told the worker behind the desk. “With extra whip cream.”

            “Alright! That’ll be $2.50.” Crow handed over the money and went back to his spot in the corner with Jack. Since the two of them were out in public, Jack had to hide under a baggy sweater, ridiculous sunglasses, and a beanie hat to hide his signature spiky blond hair.

            “You know, all you need to do now is cut off the Jedi padawan braids of yours and you’d almost look like a normal person of society.” Crow joked.

            “Look who’s talking carrot top.”

            “Hey fuck you! My hair’s fabulous.” Jack only shrugged at Crow’s statement. Crow was waiting for his order to ring up when he noticed someone on the opposite side of the coffee shop. A girl with magenta colored hair pulled back with a headband. She had a drink off to one side of her and looked to be reading out of a textbook. She looked…familiar. Crow had seen her somewhere, but couldn’t remember where.

            “What are you looking at birdbrain?” Jack asked as he was once again playing on his phone.

            “Does that girl look familiar to you?” Crow asked as Jack turned into the direction that Crow was looking. Jack tilted his head before Crow noticed the look of recognition that appeared on Jack’s face.

            “Isn’t that Aki Izayoi? The senator’s daughter?” Jack stated.

            “Wait you mean the girl that kicked Saiga in the balls?” Crow said when the memory of Saiga getting kicked in between his legs came back to him in a flash.”

            “Of course that would be where you remember her from.”

            “Hey that was pretty funny! I remember you getting it on Snapchat!” Crow remembered as he and Jack started laughing. His drink was brought to him and he was currently wiping the tears from his face. “Now that I think about it, I remember last week Yusei telling me that he had to tutor her in algebra.”

            “Good to know he survived the encounter.” Jack chuckled as he took a sip of his water bottle. “Speaking of which, I’m pretty sure that’s Yusei now.” Jack motioned towards the window. Sure, enough, through the window Crow could see the spiky raven haired man coming to the main entrance of the coffee shop. His backpack filled with books no doubt. Yusei entered the coffee shop and his cobalt colored eyes quickly scanned the shop as his eyes landed on the other side. Right where Aki Izayoi was sitting.

            Jack and Crow watched intently as they observed Yusei walk over to the young girl. They were both surprised to find that Aki smiled fondly at Yusei as he sat his stuff down next to her. A few words were exchanged before he went over to order his own drink. Crow felt like it was ages that him and Jack were watching Yusei and Aki. Although, it didn’t seem to be any more than tutoring session. Things didn’t get interesting until Aki had apparently said something to make Yusei choke on his drink and start laughing. It was at this point that both Crow and Jack decided to stay just a little bit longer before they had to run back since Jack had off season training practice.

            Although they weren’t going to stay much longer since Yusei had decided to look over in their direction and notice them staring. Yusei’s tanned face expressed confusion as Crow flashed him some quick thumbs up while Jack did a less appropriate hand gesture. This led to Yusei faceplanting into his textbook, which got a concerned look from Aki. She seemed to be asking if he was okay as he shook his head, sat up and glared at them. Crow had planned to say hi, but that was unable to happen since the worst thing that could have happened, ended up happening.

            “Is that Jack Atlas!?” They heard a girl shriek from the main entrance of the coffee shop. That’s when Crow noticed that Jack had removed his sunglasses from when they were laughing and never put them back on. In the immediate vicinity, all the girls turned their attention to Jack with a gleam in their eyes that gave Crow the chills.

            “Back door?” Jack asked.

            “Back door.” Crow answered as they both bolted out the exit of the coffee shop and began sprinting their way back Jack’s room.

You'll like the new episode of TO. I don't want to spoil anything but the ending will make you squeal!

Hey nonnie! I have seen it sooooo you can come and talk w/ me about it. I don’t mind spoilers even if I hadn’t seen it. I’m gonna put some of my thoughts about the episode under a read more bc I know some haven’t had a chance to watch it yet and would rather not be spoiled. 

SOoooooo I’ve been waiting for this episode ever since 4x03. If you follow me on twitter or tumblr, you can hopefully figure out that my favorite Mikaelsons are Kol and Rebekah. Their return alone made me anticipate this episode as one of the most of the season. The others being the episode Charles directed bc I wanted to see him as a director (he was aMAZING), 4x08 for Davina’s confirmed appearance and the rest of the episodes w/ Rebekol in them.  This was probably one of my most anticipated episodes ever??? If I’m being honest bc I did only get into TO like right after s2 ended (bc of Kolvina fan videos soooo can you blame me I’m still stuck on them?? also curse myself for breaking my promise of never watching a Plec show ever again. I’d like to never go through the heartache TVD and especially TO has brought me ever again) or I would have been excited for a lot of s1 and s2 episodes, but this one was pretty up there for me w/ anticipation based off of the ones I’ve seen as I’ve been watching as a weekly viewer.

I lovedlovedloved seeing the siblings back. The episodes work better for me when more of the family is around than not and this episode is prove of that. Kol and Rebekah are family and THEY SHOULD BE AROUND MORE THAN JUST HALF OF THE SEASON (sidenote: okay I get why not Claire bc she doesn’t want to be a regular, but Nate???? I know what he’s been saying about acting lately but idk he seems like he’d be up for being in TO more than he is.)

Kol, Rebekah and Klaus as an OT3 was excellent and honestly I didn’t realize how much I wanted that until I was given it. I really hope they give some more Kol, Rebekah and Klaus scenes in the rest of the season and in the fifth season…. Well, as long y’know all three of them make it out alive of s4 which I have a strong belief that one will end up being the big death this season. 

I don’t think that any Davina fan should get their hopes up about her resurrection lasting long at all. As much as I’d love Kol and Davina to be able to get the hell out of NOLA and travel the world together… it’s just not happening. These writers don’t set up happy endings for anyone. Davina and Kolvina fans should just enjoy what we’re given while expecting the worst. Pessimistic? Yes. but it’s sadly realistic. We know Danielle’s not coming back as a regular, we know Nate will never be a regular. Danielle’s a special guest star now and Nate’s a recurring guest. That’ll never change. They can’t just have them traveling together and have a mention sometimes like they did w/ Rebekah and Kol’s travels. That’s just not what these writers do. These writers love killing off great characters in favor of keeping less than favorable ones. Happy endings don’t happen and Davina’s resurrection will not be any different.

I find it funny (not like haha more like irony funny) that they keep pairing up Freya and Hayley this season. Is this to distract from the fact that they killed off half of their female regulars last season? It just makes the lack of females in a sausage filled NOLA more obvious to me than hiding it. 

I missed Vincent. More Josh was needed. I hope we get a Josh and Davina scene next week. I’ve wanted a goodbye scene for a year. The last scene the best friends had was in 3x15 and I just really hope we get this if nothing else. Maybe even a Nate!Kol, Josh and Davina scene?? When is the last time that happened??? 2x14 when Daniel was still playing Koleb??? Come on, we should have it…. but idk I’m not expecting it. Idk what to expect besides the kiss Carina said was happening w/ Kolvina in 4x11 and Davina’s inevitable demise for the millionth time. Hoping for stuff, but expecting nothing is what I’m resorting to at this point. I’m not getting depressed like I did last year because of the unnecessary hate towards Danielle, fictional characters dying and just me going through some stuff irl I don’t really want to get into. I’m not allowing myself to go through that again. I know what to expect and it’s not much with these writers. 

Unpopular opinion and I’m honestly not even sure I should say it because of how unpopular I think this opinion is, but I don’t want Elijah back. I feel like Elijah’s done as much as he could as a character and they keep tearing his character apart more and more…. 

Idk this is a mess of my thoughts. Almost feels like last year w/ my late night thoughts but there’s some feelings I had about the episode tonight. You were right nonnie. I did like this episode and I was excited about the ending, don’t think I squealed tho??? Lol I should ask my friend who I was watching it with if I did or not. Basically I know it won’t last soooo bleh I can just enjoy what I’m given and be happy for that I guess.

1. Have you ever been to a bazaar before? Yes, a bunch. Gabie loves checking out every bazaar going on wherever we are as she likes getting to know small local businesses, speaking with the owner/s, and possibly discovering something new, be it a hobby or just something new to start collecting. It’s one of my favorite things about her. 2. What is something bizarre that you are obsessed with? I’m not obsessed with the topic in that I idolize them, but I can spend hours reading on serial killers. I’m particularly fascinated in reading about their childhood (because it’s almost always tragic lol) and the victims. 3. Do you own an armoire? Yes. The upper two shelves are used for my clothes while the lowest shelf is for various knickknacks, like my wrestling action figures, the books I had to read in high school, my mock college entrance exams, etc. 4. Have you ever been to a reservoir before? Nope. 5. Do you know the difference between “are” and “our”? Yes. Though when I type too quickly, I’ll sometimes type in the wrong word.

6. What’s your favorite chocolate bar? Whittaker’s Peanut Butter chocolate bar.

7. Could you write your own memoir? I could, but I’ll have to wait for more notable things to happen in my life if I want my memoir to be super compelling. I’ve only been in school for the most part, and I doubt an audience would find that interesting enough. 8. What some skills in your repertoire? Anything that needs a journalism-related skill or requires organization, I’m your girl. I also like doing some public speaking. 9. Do you own a car? What kind? It’s not my own but my parents bought a car for me so I can take myself to and from school. I think I’ll be using it for work as well. It’s a hatchback Mitsubishi Mirage. 10. Did you live far from your parents, or close by? We live in the same house. I desire to move far away once I’ve earned enough but not because I want to avoid them; it’s just that I’ve lived all my life in this quiet suburban part of town and I’d love to experience the noisy city life. 11. Is it easy or difficult for you to open a jar? What’s your favorite food that comes in a jar? Difficult :( I usually ask either parent to open it, or Gabie if she’s with me at the moment. It’s not food, but mayonnaise. 12. What is the last thing you felt was marred? My Sunday was marred with sadness, I guess. Parents were in a fight all day and ignored each other, which translated to an extremely quick and curt breakfast and dinner. And I also found out that someone died of Covid in Gabie’s village, which means I wouldn’t be able to visit her this week as her village will most likely be put on another lockdown. 13. Can you get a par when playing golf? I’ve never even played real-life golf, so I doubt it. 14. Do you like the smell of tar? I don’t think I’ve smelled it before. 15. Would you ever want to be a czar? Why or why not? No. No need to go back to that chaotic part of the past. 16. Who do you admire from afar? Most of the friends I’ve drifted apart from, like Sofie, Chelsea, and Kaira. I highly doubt all of us in our high school group will ever be in the same room again because of issues between some of them that’ll probably never get resolved, so at this point I’m just glad to be happy for and proud of them from afar. 17. When’s the last time you accidentally left a door ajar in your house? My mom would absolutely kill us if any one of us did that. That said, the one and only person who’s ever done this was Gabie. It was around three years ago and I had fallen asleep in my room; she didn’t want to wake me, so when she left the house she accidentally left the front door open. It was pretty stupid, not gonna lie. 18. Have you or a family member ever charred the meat on the grill? Idk, my grandma probably has at one point. She’s the one who does the barbecuing. 19. Who’s the last person you gnarred at? I don’t do that to people, though I will sometimes play-growl at Cooper when we’re playing.

20. Tell us how you got one of your scars. We were at a family reunion and I was playing with my cousins when one of them hurled a tiny glass bottle at me, meant to target my eye. It barely missed and hit my eyebrow, which got a cut and immediately started bleeding profusely. I never saw that cousin again lol 21. Have you ever sparred with someone before? Nope, at least not physically. 22. Do you wish upon a star? Every now and then. 23. Have you ever smoked a cigar before? No. 24, Would you ever have boudoir photography taken of yourself? Why or why not? Those look sooooooo good. But it’s not for me. The camera and I have just never been friends and I feel like I’d look like an awkward stick if I gave it a try. 25.
