Still one of my favorite images of the surface of the moon. The contrast, the austerity… it speaks so strongly to my minimalist self.
This image features on the custom endsheets of the COLOR OF A MIRROR limited edition hardcover, providing a really cool shift from the black of the cover to the white of the pages.
Only 100 hardcover copies printed. Find it here:

Each of the Astro Squad giving human OC, Ettie, a little smooch! Because it's cute.
I debated as to whether or not the masked half of the team should have faces underneath. I think the faceplates being their full face was more interesting. Plus! It could be a thing for masked bots in particular to make little sparks for affection! It's cute!

I appreciate your insight and candidness on the state of games media, and it counts a lot given how long you've been around and all the (public) stuff you've dealt with. That said, If Walmart had cold called and said, "here's a bunch of money we want to make a new Game Informer. You've got independence and you can do whatever you want," what would your response be? I'm pretty sure it would have been "fuck no" but curious if there'd even be some pause for consideration.
I think you have the conversation and see where it goes, you need to feel those people out and see what they really want. But I don't think Walmart would be OK with, say, deep dive news stories talking about labor issues in the game industry. They might also not be OK with content of an M-rated nature, it's hard to say. But sure, you have the conversation and see where it goes.
I don't think there's an inherent problem with Walmart funding some kind of gaming editorial operation, my issue is the part where they had an editorial mission statement that basically said "Walmart doesn't pay us specifically for clicks so you can be assured that there's no bias." That's a crazy thing to say. Walmart obviously wants to drive traffic to its game section and hopes that this will help with that. If it doesn't, it's unlikely that they would keep funding it. This creates a lot of conflicts such as "we better say these games are good and worth buying so people click through to Walmart."
Also the whole thing is being built and run by a custom content shop that has done business with a lot of different publishers and developers over the years, so it's not like the company is some bastion of editorial independence to begin with. This creates a potential conflict like "we've created sites and content for this publisher in the past, we should cover their games well on our Walmart site so that they continue to do business with us in the future."
There's nothing wrong with any of this, it's navigable. But they should just be more upfront about who and what they really are instead of just hand-waving it all away with a poorly considered mission statement while trying to act "independent." They're not. They're all part of Moonrock.

For the @cybertronia-obscura prompt "assistance"!
Missile Master is insecure about his leadership abilities and can get real down when he feels like others are doing better than he is, so Moonrock gives him a little comfort.
Also, I had to get a new (refurbished) laptop, so I got the most recent version of Sketchbook and decided to see how some of the other tools looked. I like the textured pencils.

Today the bay behind the cape is a graveyard for abandoned ships.*
* It is also, in an odd coincidence, one of the best places in the world to buy a bit of moonrock. None of the rocks brought back by later Apollo missions are, officially, in private hands. But about 1 in 1,000 of the meteorites that land on Earth comes, originally, from the Moon, and in general meteorites are most easily found in deserts: the dryness stops them from becoming weathered, and thus less distinctive; the open landscape allows them to stand out; and desert dwellers tend to be sharp-eyed and attentive. The markets of Nouadhibou are among the best places to buy meteorites, including lunar ones, gathered by Saharan nomads.
