REAL!! he’s such a hypocrite because if someone mentioned you had a work husband, his entire world would stop and he wold devise the absolute worst plans to make sure that your co-worker, everyone at your job, and everyone in the next building over knew that he was happily committed to you 

but if he is the work husband, he’s very........ dutiful in his role. there’s a loose office/lawyer au in my head where satoru is your secretary, and for all intents and purposes, your personal assistant, and he’s good at his job, but mostly because he considers his job to be pleasing you. he has coffee for you when you arrive, he moves your schedule around without you asking, he has answers to questions before you can even ask them, he has fresh flowers on your desk weekly, pokes into your meetings to pretend to hand you a file that’s really just maybe a single document in a manilla folder with candy on top of it—he’s made himself your business, your partner; he’s made himself irreplaceable, and he loves to remind everybody of that fact. 

he’s also extremely loyal. sure, he could day a week’s worth of work done in about a day, but that doesn’t mean he’ll just use his talents for anybody. he’s your secretary, so he’s at your beck and call, and everyone knows it. they know he’s the best, but also that he’s off limits—not because you won’t share him, but because satoru won’t let himself be shared. 

he also extends his duties beyond work, of course. when he hands you a print out of your schedule for the day and you’re confused by the three-hour block of time you have in the middle of the day, satoru just helps you shrug your coat of your shoulders and smiles, “that’s for the lunch date you have with me, of course!” hanging up your coat in your closet for you, “i’m paying, see you soon, sweets.” and because you’re great at your job, and satoru helps you be great, nobody really questions when the two of you have time for a 13-course tasting menu at 1pm on a tuesday afternoon. and if they did, all satoru would say that you two had a lovely date

another early thread with gunn that I'm perpetually annoyed gets dropped in ats is the fact that gunn's smart. maybe not book smart in the same way that wesley is, but he's regularly shown to be logical, a quick thinker and also, to be honest, kind of the only person in AI with any kind of strategic thinking abilities. in dear boy he's the one who proves that something has to be up with darla because otherwise how could angel get into "her" house uninvited. in darla he's the one who thinks of finding darla by looking at properties wolfram & hart have bought. there's several times when the gang get into fights against demons and gunn's the one who's coming up with battle strategies in the moment. like come on these are not the actions of someone who's "just the muscle" and it's frankly ridiculous that the show later goes back on itself and tries to pull that card!!! (also further reasoning for why I think gunn should have become the new leader of AI in season 2. he's not only logically the most suited for it but it also just makes more sense for his characterisation and developing arc than it does for wesley's)

I really hate how twt makes it impossible to rly look back at your acct past a certain date. Like when I wanna re-live the glory days of some past fandom on tumblr, I can go back on my archive. On twitter? You're fucked imo.

Man, I just wanna look back at my acct to see the fanart I reblogged when some specific genshin pv came out, but it's basically impossible. It makes me wish I downloaded a lot more art/fanart in general, bcs its so hopeless atp :/

I recently read some incredible whump in the manga I'm currently reading. Let me tell you all about it (tbh there's a lot of whump in this manga but a lot of it is a lil unsatisfying to me bc the character can manipulate his own blood and then also heals himself just like that so whenever he gets hurt it's actually a good thing and makes him stronger. Honestly I'm thinking of making a whump list about it though! The manga is really good and interesting and like I said, there's a lot of whumpy scenes).

So the manga is called Miyabichi no Onmyouji.

This is the description of it on the website I'm reading it on:

A time when the boundary between human and demon was vague. Ten sacred items – “Jingi” had been stolen from Mikado’s Treasury by some demons. An imperial order to recover the Jingi was given to all the Onmyōji in the capital, including “the heretic” – Fuzuki. He sets out to retrieve the first Jingi, but something unthinkable happened…

So the good whump starts in chapter 14 and lasts until chapter 17.

After fighting a demon and using too much blood to fight, Fuzuki is exhausted but then another demon shows up, this one even stronger than the previous one. He quickly beats Fuzuki and pins him to the wall and then puts a curse on him.

Ranmaru, a little half-demon weasle kid who Fuzuki promised to protect comes back after Fuzuki told him to escape while he fought the demon and manages to take Fuzuki to a safe place (for now).

Then the following happens (I wish I could make this shorter but everything about it is just so good, I need you all to see this!):

(Just FYI Ranmaru's mother died not too long ago and she left that handkerchief with him, so it's his treasure. Ranmaru and Fuzuki don't get along very well so him using his precious handkerchief to help Fuzuki is very heartwarming.)

After this, the demon that beat Fuzuki and put that curse on him shows back up but another Onmyouji (Toyochika) and also Fuzuki's right hand-man (a wolf demon named Hakuro) show up just in time to fight him off and save Fuzuki and Ranmaru.

(The next chapter is about Fuzuki and Toyochika's past. But the nice whump isn't quite over yet!)

Toyochika performs the curse removal and Fuzuki has a nightmare about his mean step-mother who despised him and made him do something terrible. Then it continues like this: 

And that's pretty much where it ends (afterwards Fuzuki goes to Ranmaru's room, Ranmaru wakes up and tries to jump onto Fuzuki to hug him but he stops him and tells him 'not to jump at him so casually' and that makes Ranmaru very happy because Fuzuki being mean like this means he's back to normal.)

so like. i still think the writing sucks like half that episode was spent on explaining the cliff hanger from last episode like we do every week. and also once again the characters take a complete sideline to the plot. so i mean i don’t really have much to add critically that i haven’t said already all i’ll say is like i at least had more fun this ep. was it for the right reasons no not really but it made me giggle a lot. very unserious episode. cheng xiaoshi being smart and having a plan reminded me of season 1 and that was the highlight aside from that uhhhhhhgggggg idk my opinions haven’t changed. linking and clicking through the mediocrity of this season ✌🏻
