can’t stop thinking about how canon dusttale is a tragedy that can never be fixed. murder’s best ending is literally having it so fell sans will always remember him. but he can’t save him but murder sans would never be forgotten. and that’s only like. tangentially canon or something. and neither the player or mur trust each other enough to go through with a pacifist run. and that mur is completely fine with waiting for literal years for the player to return, just so he can kill them again. canon dusttale makes me so sad man

I think the other thing i love about Conclave is some of my favorite poets and writers are queer people who are/have been profoundly devoutly religious like the moment i found out benjamin alire sáenz went to monastery and was on track to becoming a priest before becoming a writer I was just like "Aha! That's what it fucking was, that's where this philosophical torturous burden and deep empathy for others I'm feeling from your work comes from" deeply intellectually curious devout clergymen are such interesting people, its delicious, you cant get that shit from anywhere else

Hmmm. Since Fresh is partially based off of Dippy Fresh, I’d like to think that Bill!Sans would be…not obsessed with him, but is weirdly attached to him. Like, Fresh is basically like his little guy, Fresh is just some creature that looks like Bill’s weird hamster. Fresh is like a weird pug to Bill. Bill 100% views Fresh as some sort of pet/enough like a pet. Fresh is his [funk]ed up little guy. Creature.

While my strong, vocal support for Ukraine remains unchanged and I believe it is unambiguously morally correct, I will say that there is something of a bitter pill embedded in it for me as a Jew who is very close to another Jew whose whole family had to flee Ukraine with her as a child because a combination of having the wrong surnames and being Jews meant they could not safely and successfully stay there. And like. She was born there. She still identifies as Ukrainian and has been devastated the last three years over the suffering of her people. She has been a vocal opponent of Putin and of Russian imperialism.

And at the same time, the reason she's here in the US and isn't fluent in Ukrainian is because she was too Jewish to be a "real" Ukrainian (despite the Soviets having forced her family to give up their Jewish religious practices and her having to learn everything as an adult.)
