While you are situated by one of the beautiful sedarwood roundtables with a teacup in your hand, enjoying the taste of homemade lavender tea.

Hàoyu perks his head up, leaning against one of the cushions nearby you, smiling. Of course his instinct is to start questionaires with you the second you all run out of topics. This bastard.

“How were exams?”

A simple side eye sent his way forces him to rear back with a hand on his chest, in mock shock and offense. “I simply ask a question to our favourite smartie!”

“Don’t call me a smartie Hàoyu, please.” You chuckle, shaking your head before turning your attention onto the brother that sat to your right. Xìyáng, sluggishly whirling the tea in his cup around, gazes at you in mutual wonder.

“So the second none of you know what to talk about you go to ask me huh?” Snickers snound from all around.

“You make our conversations all sooo fuuuun!” Jìngyí stretches himself out on the pristine wooden flooring. Only to recieve a little playful kick from Haitao who lets out a goose’s quack when put into an armlock by the eldest.

You turn to give a fond smile, before rolling your eyes and shaking your head.

“Well it was all good, top scores and such.” The pride in your voice encourages Yìzé to speak up. Leaning against one of the amethyst and gold gilded pillars together with Yu Xi.

“I saw you struggled with the last question in particular.” Oh, if looks could kill.

Your face immediately heats up as you glare away at the young man, eyebrows knitting to display your clear embarrassment.

“Yìzé stop it.” You warn, but close your eyes in defeat when Yu Xi starts laughing out, choking on his tea.

“He had to describe the anatomy of an ostrich but didn’t know what it was and had to look it up!” They laugh, bending over and trying not to drop their porcelain cup. Though the tea has long since spilt. Which gives him an excuse to rush out and get some towels to clean it up with.

“YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT AN OSTRICH IS?” Jìngyí barks out, eyes wide as wheezes that surely damage his lungs ring out into the room. Haitao below him laughing with, glasses messy on his face like his hair.

“I was — Look I don’t specialise in bird anatomy!!” Explainations are pointless. It only causes your ears to heat up more and flush deep maroon before the colour moves to the rest of your face.

“You should at least know what an ostritch is!!?” Hàoyu calls back at you, clutching at his stomach from laughing too hard.

“What’s and ostritch? How do I cook this ramen? How do I pull the carrot out if there’s only the plant part to pull?” Yìzé, once again, the troublemaker, joins in. His face red from bursting out into laughter. So much tears are rolling down his face.

“You guys are all assholes. I have academic brains! None of you know anything about nano engineering!!” Echoes of laughter make their way around the room as they all laugh harder at your statement.

With a simple shake of your head, you sip your cup of tea and thin your lips trying to find more words to defend yourself with.

Yet it can only turn into a smile, when the recount of fond times pour into the lounge, quietly and with the occasional chaos.

OKAY it's like 1 am now and i really gotta go to sleep but thoughts after playing through the prologue

1.) It's rough man my hardware was NOT made for this but i can still see how pretty everything is..... the models the animations the shots the boarding. Very well crafted. I never disliked the art direction but i love it even more now

2.) Rook is so fuuuun they have so much personality already and Erika Ishii's vocal performance is phenomenal! My canon Hawke is diplomatic so i'm having a lot of fun finally playing a full-blown Purple Sarcastic tm character now

3.) I'm playing on the lowest difficulty settings which kill everything in three clicks (dont want to risk more crashes) but the combat feels so much more fun compared to previous games. I mess up the buttons constantly after playing dai so much recently but i think i'll get the hang of it eventually

4.) The bioware logo when the game loads, with the characters whoosing by took me off guard but it also made me sooo giddy!!!! It's a nice touch on their part

5.) Things i'm not a fan of: Neve's vocal performance :( i already had an inkling from the promotional material that i wasn't going to like it but i want to believe she'll grow on me like Cassandra's did. Eventually

6.) I also really don't enjoy how the character is always slightly off center....... it's so disorienting to me lol i know this isn't unique to datv but it still bothers me

7.) Still don't understand how they're gonna make the lack of worldstate choices work..... the fact i couldn't even specify that my Inquisitor was a mage shocked me a little im not gonna lie. Keep thinking i must have overlooked something but i'm pretty sure i didn't

All in all super hyped to actually see new parts of the game going forward!

God like I know that Raiden is Not Actually A Rookie in mgs2 considering his past, but it's just sooo damn fuuuun to write him like one.

I do like that to explain this, canon says that he HEAVILY represses his time as a child soldier, to the point where it shows up as a big blank spot in his memory during normal times, until something brings it to the surface.

It was a Tuesday afternoon at Site 230, which meant that interviews, testing, and counseling was not to be held. Marcus Woods found himself using his free time to fingerpaint, as it was something he could safely do without the others interfering like they did when they made him stab that one guy in the arm.

"Ugh, this is sooo boring! I wanna do something fuuuun!" Marcus had to mentally roll his eyes at what he was hearing. The spirit of the famous pop idol "Classy Lassy" Cassidy had manifested and was lying on her back on a nearby table. For being a former national pop idol, she was quite a diva.

"Ah shut yer trap young'n, I gots a 'errible headache." Marcus turned his head to see the lighthouse keeper Rime Turpentine complain, with a hand on his head. It seemed he was nursing a hangover, something that was weird for a ghost to have.

"Why don't you shut yours?" snapped the spirit of former hotel owner Nyx Kalliope. Nods from the manifested spirits of Victorian winemaker Morgan Baker and serial killer Morticia Aeron followed.

"Please," muttered the spirit of the shepherd Jericho. "Please be quiet".

"I quite agree" spoke up the former "Murderous Maid" Teala Vasquez. We are upsetting our generous host. Marcus knew she was addressing him. Ever since he decided to wear this locket, he was cursed to have it on and share his body with these spirits and thirteen others. The one benefit of having a locket with twenty spirits trapped inside was that they were sometimes so focused on battling for control of his body that he could lead a normalish life.

Unfortunately, when they did gain control, they made him commit horrendous murders, which landed him attention by the Serpent's Hand, as they made the original article of jewelry. Based on what the Foundation staff told him, he was a bit glad that the Foundation found him first. He wished to leave but knew the threat he would pose until the locket was emptied.

Until then, he was kept in Site 230, which wasn't anywhere as bad as he thought. The staff was friendly, and there were many other people like him, anomalous, as they were called. The walls were colorful, and the inner courtyard was full of fresh air as opposed to the grimy city he used to live in. Not to mention that Pasta Thursdays were the highlight of the week.

"Yo fleshy, you payin' attention?" Marcus snapped to attention and turned to the infamous murderer Gabriella Emily. She scoffed as she realized Marcus didn't hear the question.

"We asked what you were thinking of dearie," cooed Matilda Dodge. This wasn't anything new from her. Despite her reputation as a mass murdering cannibal, most never knew that she was a kind mother, and probably saw Marcus as a son figure.

"He's p-probably thinking about h-how miserable his life is because of us," stuttered Jules Forth, a man seemingly cursed with permanent unluckiness that landed him in the position of being a spirit.

"Oh, I doubt such a charming friend would be thinking such a horrid thing," responded the flashy photographer Kazuichi Brekker, earning a nod of agreement from the sweet and deadly confectioner Elliot Lundell.

"Or," giggled a voice, "He is thinking such a thing, maybe he wants to cut us up into iiiity bitty pieces!" If Marcus was in an anime, he would've had a sweatdrop appear on his head. Of course, the "Violent Vivisector" Zechariah Z. Zaidan would wish for something like that.

"Leave Forth alone," Irina Kata curtly spoke in a tone that meant total seriousness. Marcus knew she died a bride, so perhaps she saw a bit of her husband in Jules?

"Mister Woods," piped up famed inventor Adam Sivers, "You never answered the question. What were you thinking about?"

Marcus thought for a bit before telling them the truth. That ever since the council member modified the locket to allow them to manifest as spirits only tethered to the locket instead of having to forcibly possess him anytime they wanted to be vocal, he really enjoyed talking to them as people. Silence filled the room.

"Wow, wasn't expecting something like that, considering what we made ya do," muttered Sam Sidney, who used their time in control of Marcus' body to discover the whereabouts of Jack the Ripper.

"Despite what we've done, we're not all terrible people," muttered former police chief Ajax Lycaon, who pointed a finger towards the glass door that led to the courtyard, which had sitting in front of it the solemn father "Herb", the environmentalist honey hunter Ayusha Ranjan, and surprisingly the muscle brute pro gamer known as +1UP. The trio seemed to be people watching those that wandered in and out of the courtyard.

Marcus smiled as he decided to paint the three for his picture. Days like these were treasures to be had, especially since he knew that in a few moments it would probably boil down to a bickering match like it usually did. And considering how Cassidy began to flap her gums, it seemed like he was right. Oh how he wished for some headphones.

Computer science (I do like making games. I’ve made enough as a kid to know that they’re incredibly tedious. And again. I. Hate. Math.)

Government (boring as fuck no notes)

Anthropology (I did this of my own volition twice and it’s actually very fun. I love learning about culture and silly little people doing the same things everywhere~~~!!! The religion unit made me furious. Hey buddy. Can we not talk about mental illness like this. That’s actually not funny. Hallucinations are not funny and drug addiction killing tons of people is. Not. Funny. I laugh when I’m uncomfortable or scared. That didn’t seem like discomfort laughter to meeeee~~~)

History (boring as fuck. I do actually love reading ABOUT history. College history readings??? Soooo dryyy. I did some of my Congo readings because they made me feel terrible.. ugh the things I read about still haunt me ;w; not for the reasons you’d expect either..)

Law School (yeah so I actually can’t read for longer than fifteen minutes unless the text I’m reading fascinates me. I get bored veryyyy easily..! And getting cold-called makes me forget everything I’ve ever learned. ._.)

Acting (uh yeah I do love acting. I get anxious in my classes. I get anxious while I act. This sounds like an unpleasant combination..)

Music (I do love singing. I have played multiple instruments (mostly against my will). Can I read sheet music? ….i def forgot how to read some keys and anything outside of treble clef ;w; I was an alto for most of my life!!! No shit bass clef confuses me, I was suddenly taught how to sight sing in it with EXCLUSIVELY TREBLE CLEF EXPERIENCE???? BRO. PLEASE. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO KNOW THESE NOTES. JUST GIVE ME A TREBLE SIGHT READING ASSIGNMENT I WONT BE INSULTED I DONT know what I’m looking at. if I’m too tired (everyday of HS) I also! Cannot read sheet music! And it’s a lot worse than when I can’t focus on my readings..)

I would rather rewatch Across the Spiderverse for the eighth time or whatever even though it causes me SIGNIFICANT head pain!!!!! I got migraines every single time I watched this movie!! I think hatred is the only way to have whimsy in your heart, these days. -_- Ugh. I’m a little freak (very asexual about it) and I don’t. Care!!! I licked windows and shoes and the floor and myself in middle school and I still eat food off the floor because..! I’m usually just too lazy to make more honestly.. -_- and my family shames me for literally every food choice I make. I eat nothing but pineapple. “:/ you’re not eating it fast enough” I eat half of a bowl of fried rice “._. Why didn’t you finish it all..” I eat a couple slices of ham and turkey “._. It made me so happy!!!!!! Seeing those squirrels in fall chasing each other made me so happy!!!! I love staring at sculptures and paintings and reading their captions and figuring out what the artist FELT while they made it. I don’t need to grind my entire life!!! I don’t want to be rich and I don’t want to take care of my parents just cause they’re not saving enough for their retirement. I WANT TO LIVE…!!! I CANT LIVE A LIE……!!!!!!!
