Sonic Movie 3 Predictions and Angst

The hyper fixation is slowly creeping in and I must let it out, so here’s a compilation of scenes I can imagine happening in Sonic 3. Let’s see how many I’ll get right!

1. Shadow has parallels with all 3 of the boys, not just Sonic

We all know already Shadow and Sonic have similar backstories with how Sonic experienced the loss of Long Claw, the same way Shadow lost Maria. But while Sonic chooses to move on, Shadow wants revenge. Sonic can relate to Shadow in a way, and that very obviously will be brought up in the movie.

But what can also be brought up is how Knuckles also experienced grief and dealt with it by seeking revenge for YEARS of his life, he more than anyone can understand Shadow.

And finally Tails, which is a bit of a stretch from my part, but considering Shadow is so different from everyone else, not only for his appearance but also his powers, he might feel as if he doesn’t belong anywhere else, Tails can relate to that, since he too felt like he was two different because of his two tails.

I can see they all trying to reach out to Shadow in their own ways, obviously at first it doesn’t work but with each interaction they start to slowly break more and more of his defenses and he starts to reflect on their words, maybe their words remind him of Maria and by the end he’ll realize he’s not doing what she’d want.

2. Stone is the one who frees Shadow and the one who tells the team Robotnik is alive

Double prediction I guess, but pretty much what I’m saying is that Stone is the catalyst for this whole movie, and he did all that for one simple reason… Robotnik was bored.

We’ve seen in the after credits scene of Sonic 2 that he disguised himself as a G.U.N agent and he overheard about Project Shadow, I think, after that he’d do a little research, and figure out the password to release Shadow from the pod is M A R I A. Hence why the commander says in the trailer there has been a security breach. Now don’t ask me how Stone got away with opening the pod without the government arresting him, boy is sneaky I guess.

As for how the team figured out Robotnik is alive, my guess is that Stone sent them a message through one of Robotnik’s robots, inviting them to get assistance from the doctor.

Did you catch that? He’s offering to help them solve a problem HE caused, my man is pulling the strings.

And for what? To get Robotnik back into action of course, out of his depression, and maybe find out more about his past in the process, considering Shadow was created by his grandfather.

So in team Sonic’s lowest moment, they agree to get help, and ya know what, I’m 90% certain Robotnik will betray they after their truce, because of course he will, and Stone will love it because that’s the doctor he knows and loves.

3. Maddie will help heal Knuckles

Maddie is a vet, as we’ve seen in the first movie when she helps Sonic after he’s passed out. Now that hasn’t been brought up in a while and I think it would be a huge missed opportunity if she doesn’t help out with Knuckles broken arm or whatever Shadow did with his arm in the trailer.

Additionally, I feel like after that first encounter Tom and Maddie would be worried sick and conflicted if they should let the boys go on this mission or not, to which Tom decides he’s coming too, hence why we see a shot of him wearing a G.U.N uniform, albeit, stolen because he’s just in disguise.

Bonus round of small predictions:

- Knuckles calls Tails by his name and not just “Fox”

- Sonic finds tapes that Shadow and Maria recorded together

- More Tails screen time (please I beg)

- Amy and/or Metal Sonic in the post credit scene

On the Girls for the Sonic Movie Universe (which I am certain will appear in a Sonic Heroes’ based movie with Metal)

1. I want Sonic and Amy in the movieverse to be slightly possessive of one another.

Think about it!

This is the second hedgehog Sonic has come across who’s in slightly better mental health than Shadow.

Not to mention there’s some shots that could point to Maddie being pregnant.

I can see Sonic both confronting his fear of being the only one of his kind and wishing to have the kind of relationship with another person like Maddie and Tom have with one another by meeting Amy.

Meanwhile I made a prediction that Amy's the protector of her group and never lets her down, and Sonic is the first time she has an equal and partner supporting her.

This would be the first time the two can develop crushes on another hedgehog, and they eventually learn to be friends before they become an item later on.

2. I think it’d be really cool for Tikal to be Knuckles’ love interest

Purely because of how differently they handle matters while having similar goals. With the changes made to the Echidnas, it’s not impossible for Tikal to be living in the same era as Knuckles.

But if they do have Rouge as Knuckles’ love interest, I have no doubt it’ll absolutely be interesting to watch from the clash of personalities and interests heightening belligerent sexual tension.

“You! Bat! What manner of sorcery have you put on me?!”

“They’re called hormones, echidna, and you activated them all by yourself.”

3. IF CREAM APPEARS, PLEASE DON’T PUT HER TOGETHER WITH TAILS, MOVIE. DON’T FUCKING DO IT

Here is my theory on what Sonic’s quills are for.

In second trailer we see Shadow charging up a huge machine by generating orange chaos energy

and after that is a shot of his sparks, alongside blue ones;

You see how few blue energy is compared to the orange, because they come from Sonic’s quills.

Here's something to consider. If we assume Shadow was put in stasis, he should stay like that unless someone releases him. But GUN says that there was a security breech and the trailer shows Shadow breaking out. So what if this was all planned out by GUN? They purposely woke Shadow up and then let him break out so they could send Sonic and Co after him. Then, once Shadow is taken care of, they betray Sonic and his friends and dispose of them.

Sonic Movie 3 Preliminary Predictions

I saved the craziest one for last:

This COULD be Shadow and Gerald bending over Maria's body, but that doesn't sound right to me.

The Ark is big enough to hold large vehicles like this:

But I think a battle big enough to leave this kind of wreckage might do major structural damage to the Ark.

Also, if this is when Maria died, wouldn't the GUN soldiers be aiming AT Shadow and Gerald? Looks to me like they're aiming past them, at something in the distance.

And look at the body. I think I can make out what looks like a very round, small head:

Could this be Sonic's body? Do they think he died in the final battle?

Because all we've seen in the trailer is Shadow as a supervillain, and that is NOT who Shadow is.

Black-hearted evil, Brave-hearted hero, I am all, I am all I am.

Look, Eggman might be working with Team Sonic for a time...

But he's gonna turn on them all. "If I can't rule the world, I might as well save it!" Yeah, sure, Eggface, just saving your own butt, and the second you find an opportunity to try to rule the world, you're taking it. Because that's what Eggman ALWAYS does. His ONLY purpose in life is trying to rule the world.

He wants POWER. He's gonna take that thing and do something with it. And while I like the theory that he's building a Metal Sonic with it, we clearly won't see it in this movie. (Maybe movie 4...?)

But I think I do know what he IS gonna build in this one:

Look behind Tails.

See it? Most prominently on the right side?

The MOUSTACHE?!?

It's the DEATH EGG.

So Robotnik's gonna build the Death Egg, Team Sonic's gonna have to fight him, and somehow, Shadow's gonna realize he has to join Team Sonic.

Not really surprising, that's usually the gist of every game with Shadow in it. But I gotta wonder why I haven't seen anyone talk about that shot of the Death Egg. I KNOW y'all have been analyzing the trailer frame-by-frame. I must just be missing the discussion somehow. I even googled "sonic movie 3 death egg" and got nuthin.

(My theory is that Eggman's gonna turn the Ark into the Death Egg, but we'll have to wait and see.)

This calls into question lines like "when we're done, there won't be anything left," and "what I had to."

What's Shadow gonna do???

And does it have anything to do with this?

Why are they tied up like that??? If that is, as I've seen people say, not a black hole, but rather a ring portal that Shadow opened into space, then I can't imagine Shadow gave enough warning for these three to tie themselves down.

So what if they were tied down in preparation for Shadow opening this ring portal as part of the final battle against the Death Egg? Maybe to suck Eggman's robots off the planet or something?

Notice that there's no humans in this picture, either. My guess is that they got Tom and Maddie and GUN crew out of the area before Shadow opened the portal. Because Sonic and Co. can survive in space, but nothing else can.

With only 2 minutes of the movie currently at our disposal, it's impossible at this point to be certain of anything about the overall plot. But I know what Shadow and Eggman are both like, and the trailer is leaving out half their characters. Unless the plot goes completely off the rails and totally disregards every bit of character building Shadow ever had in the games, he IS gonna join Team Sonic, and there WILL be a final battle against Eggman.

If only because he promised Maria that he would protect Earth.

here’s some things i noticed/wondered/loved:

- i think in that scene where tom is on the ground yelling for sonic, he is wearing a special forces suit. maybe he upgraded from cop to working with gun?? if so i think that’s a really good use of his character actually! he wanted to save a life and raise a family above all else yes, but he still got his previous dream of doing more serious cop work!

- shadow just. has a big ass portal?? like holy shit he’s just suckin the life outta earth and ig that’s one way to do it (or maybe it’s just a ring and i’m stupid idek)

- i’m sure we’ll learn more about this in the actual movie so i’m not too worried, but i’m super confused at the very beginning scene. apparently sonic didn’t change his heart…but he did tho? like he learned what being a true hero meant in the last movie. tbh i feel like that’s enough but hey i’m not against more character development for our boy so!! (also that bit where he’s like “in my lungs” was actually really funny to me, ben schwartz’ awesome delivery caught me off guard)

- GERALD ROBOTNIK ALIVE HUUUUH?! tbh i would’ve preferred if maria was alive, i feel like that would be an interesting dynamic. but also ig that would make it harder for shadow to learn anything so i totally get it. anyways i’m just glad they’re putting a little twist on the story, it keeps it interesting. they already sorta did that with the knuckles and iblis thing actually! (even if that show sucked ass and although that probably wasn’t intentional 😭)

- even tho bro only got like… 3 lines, i really think keanu fits shadow. he’s very soft spoken in comparison to the rest of the case which feels nice. also he’s like the “really bad” guy so ofc he’s not gonna be yappin on and on like sonic or robotnik and he’s gonna take things uber seriously.

- where was my girl maddie :( i think she was only in like a singular frame. hope shes in the movie a somewhat significant amount. i heart pretzel lady!! could live without wade tho like pls im so sick of his bowling soap opera 💀

- FAT ROBOTNIK FAT ROBOTNIK FAT ROBOTNIK!!! after fucking 3 movies they finally fulfilled jim carrey’s wishes!! let the man get creative like please i love jim carrey sm aughdfhfnfmschxj. also love how we got so much stobonik content within that short scene like jesus come get y’all’s food

- shadow at one point says something along the lines of “when we’re done, there won’t be anything left.” maybe i’m reading WAY to into this but what does the “we’re” part mean?? is he working with others? i feel like this is either gonna be team dark or some new movie exclusive character(s). edit: someone made a valid point that he’s actually probably referring to gerald (look at reblogs!)

- no sign of amy :( but honestly my prediction now is that she’s gonna be the post credit scene teaser cus they always do a new character reveal there. first tails, then shadow. and honestly now i think it might be better that way so shadow can have a chance to breathe and show his story in full. i’m pretty sure i vaguely remember colleen (tails’ VA) being kinda mysterious about amy’s appearance when asked, and also the fact that it was confirmed that this isn’t the end of the movie franchise/universe. but ig we’ll just have to wait and see!

so sorry i stated this yesterday morning to give my initial thoughts but then got busy and completely forgot to post/finish it. and today i started (and am close to finishing) a very long edit of the trailer, so be on the look out for that too!

genuinely i feel like this movie is gonna somehow be even more record breaking than any of the previous movies and i am so here for the hype 🙏

SONIC 3/STOBOTNIK RELATED PREDICTION!!

So seeing Stone saying "That's dark." And in another scene he's on the ground looking up/parted from the Robotnik's and Shadow as they take off, I'd like to put this thought out...

During the movie (with Gerald in the picture), Stone starts to see that Robotnik is getting too extreme and 'un-Robotnik' in his actions to conquer/control the earth (hence "That's Dark").

Then when it comes to the climax, Stone doesn't want to be part of it, seeing how Robotnik has changed to no longer be the Robotnik he served/worked for (potential love confession😲). Robotnik kicks Stone out as they take off. Stone then finds the Sonic team and aids them in stopping the Robotnik's and Shadow, in hopes to bring back his Ivo

So, yes to the divorce arc (but I'm counting it's temporary and Robotnik realises that by destroying Earth, he loses Stone. Who he left behind).

So... yeah.

Don't know if anyone will see this but I've been seeing a lot of the theories for the sonic 4 movie about agent stone being behind the metal sonic bots at the end credit scene of the third movie, no hate to he theory I love it, but I also have a little theory behind it that I haven't seen yet

These guy's, I think it could be possible one of them is behind creating the metal sonic bots, due to the way they created chaos sonic (sonic primes version of metal sonic) after figuring out about sonic himself, it could serve as an interesting plot choice but that's just my theory

My Predictions For Sonic The Hedgehog 4

Spoilers for the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Movie's Post Credits scene below this.

So as we know from the post credits scene, the next movie will be will have Amy Rose and Metal Sonic in it.

Due to their first game involving time travel and Metal Sonic appearing like the Terminator does I believe this movie will involve time travel.

Now who is sending Metal Sonic after Sonic?

My first guess is it could be G.U.N. as throughout the movies they have antagonized and lied to the Sonic and friends. On top of that they ordered the creation of the Eclipse Cannon, the whole thing with Project Shadow was sketchy, and even the G.U.N. Commander didn't trust G.U.N.

On top of that the Knuckles Show reveal G.U.N. has been collecting Sonic's and friends quills which they could indeed use to power Metal Sonic.

Second is Jim Carrey comes back for the fourth movie, or Metal Sonic was a failsafe plan he created to activate upon his death.

And due to the multiple Metal Sonics we could get a whole Emperor Metallix situation.

Finally an Agent Stone from the future wanting revenge, as we have seen from the Prequill Comic he is very capable. In addition I think an older Agent Stone with gray hair could dawn the mantle of Eggman as Eggman Nega.

Also, Metal Sonic could become Metal Overlord.

What if Amy comes from the same time as Silver? Like not 200 years like in the games, but a near future. Considering Sonic CD has time travel stuff going on. So she comes from the future where agent Stone took Robotnik's place as the villain, there's this post that suggested the idea that Stone released Metal Sonic to have his revenge on Sonic for Robotnik's death, which I'd love to see.

And back to the future part, I'd imagine that if they went that route, Amy, Silver and maybe even Blaze, amongst others, are part of a rebellion against Stone and like how Robotnik wanted to use Sonic's quills(I think? I haven't watched the first movie in a long time), Stone could do the same with Amy's quills.

I will also suggest that Stone maybe found a way to reach Mobius and that's why Mobians are fighting against him.(Just woke up, I AM NOT BRAINING SO IF THIS DON'T MAKE SENSE, FIX IT FOR ME😭)

(Also, regarding sonamy.... Yeaaaah they're def going to do something with it and I'm going to hate it. Like Victsi, I don't hate the ship, I hate it being canon, BUT FOR A DIFFERENT REASON NOW! Ever since I've realized I might be AroAce and all my crushes were actually just me looking up to people and admiring them, I've been projecting onto Amy that exact same feeling. So if you ever wonder about my stance on sonamy, here it is, I think Amy is AroAce.)

So essentially, with this scenario in mind, I think Amy is from a bad future where Stone had his revenge, invaded and took over Mobius, basically did the shit that Eggman did in the first few Sonic games, and Amy is now going back in time to prevent that from happening.

Got no other ideas beside Shadow being a key to saving the world so then Sonic's like "but he's dead" and then alien gang wander around somewhere and Shadow pops out from the shadows like "whattup homie". Maybe he's even residing in Sonic's old place to make it angstier.

Random prediction time:

I realized that even though everyone was saying that the end credit appearance of Metal Sonic was done due to Agent Stone creating him (unless that time travel theory has something to do with it, but that's another theory for another time)

But what if it was actually GUN that actually created the multiple Metals? I mean, think about it.

Things weren't resolved with those guys and team Sonic, after Tom was injured, we didn't hear anything about them again, not even anything a throwaway line that said they were on good terms again, to which idk why they would consider on doing that with the reveal of Project Shadow, but also somehow getting hold of their own stash of portal rings for their agents to use (in the Knuckles spin off) and having the former lead scientist of the failed project create the Eclipse Cannon to be used as a power flex for 50 years and did a surprise Pikachu face when the damn thing turned out to be a major laser piss cannon and almost destroyed a planet.

I don't know what they were expecting but cmon, Gerald wasn't making a fucking satellite or something. Not to mention, they may have done something that caused Ivo to possibly be an orphan since he is Gerald's kin and sort of worked for the government for many years....

Not only that, but the current director Rockwell hates those kids guts and thinks of them as evil meddling children, leading her and the team to create them to Metals to try and take them out in a way that doesn't get their hands dirty, and knowing how powerful one of them is when he gets ahold of those 7 handheld rock candies that makes him go blonde. They will definitely see them as a threat since they're now working independently.

Basically, GUN definitely should be a major threat in Sonic 4. The initial trust for them is broken, and its gonna cause some major tension.
