Christmas with the MXTX couples:
HuaLian:
The most extravagantly decorated house and Christmas tree for at least several thousand miles - Hua Cheng is very particular about how everything should look to create the perfect mix between luxurious and cozy.
They use Hua Cheng's butterflies instead of Christmas lights, and mist decorations are made from gems or jewelry pieces. Everything is glittering.
With that being said, there a few absolutely fugly items scattered about the house that Xie Lian has collected through the years and formed attachments to, and Hua Cheng cannot let his aesthetic take away gege's chance to display the items he loves, unsightly as they might be.
There's always some kind of soft music playing, be it jazz or Christmas songs or instrumentals. Xie Lian loves to hum to it.
Hua Cheng lets Xie Lian cook if he wishes because he can personally take his food just fine and their guests (Mu Qing, Feng Xin, Qi Rong, He Xuan, Shi Qingxuan, Ling Wen, Pei Ming, Lang Qianqiu et. al) do not deserve the courtesy of edible food in his opinion. Besides, he loves to see gege enthusiastic about new holiday recipes. They end up cooking together most of the time though.
Xie Lian insists on wearing ugly Christmas sweaters. He thinks it's cute and funny and Hua Cheng (local diva and fashionista) shrivels up inside every time he has to put on a light up Christmas sweater. But for gege, he would do anything. He died 3 times for him, what's one day of fengqing making fun of him?
So many Christmas movies! They watch all the classics, then move on to cheesy Hallmark Christmas romances. They all need to have a happy ending though!
Everyone's gifts are from Xie Lian. Hua Cheng doesn't get anyone but his gege gifts. There are so many boxes under the tree that it's barely visible at all by this point.
Because he wears a lot of red, the others jokingly call Hua Cheng Santa Claus. He is not allowed to commit murder during the holidays so he can only glare and pout about it. Xie Lian finds it cute.
It's Yin Yu's one day off and he's also invited to the gathering but somehow still ends up organizing and directing things, just that he's a bit tipsy doing it because the eggnog slaps a bit too hard.
There is a non-zero chance one of Xie Lian's gifts consists of only a silk ribbon. And there is a non-zero chance he opens it in front of everyone by accident. Good luck explaining that one.
FengQing aren't allowed to fight each other or Hua Cheng. They end up arguing over Christmas movies as a proxy.
He Xuan brings his own food because he knows better.
WangXian:
Everyone wants to spend Christmas at the wangxian household - it's beautifully decorated, there's lots of food and a lot of opportunities for fun and chaos.
Wei Wuxian is allowed to cook but not add spices. Lan Wangji also can't add spices because he likes the bland Lan food. The compromise is to have Wen Ning taste and spice everything. It is a wonderful decision.
Mulled wine and hot chocolate are always available. You can also try some of Wei Wuxian's questionable brews, but you have to sign a waver for that.
Carolers love the wangxian household because they're very giving. There is a queue in front of their house and everything, Lan Jingyi manages it.
Lan Xichen does all the holiday baking. It's very relaxing for him and he loves being meticulous about decorating his cakes.
Decorating the Christmas tree is a family job but Sizhui always has to put the star on top. Nobody else is allowed. He has been doing this since he was 5 and will be doing so forever. Lan Wangji insists on lifting him to do so even if he can reach perfectly fine by himself now.
Wei Wuxian wraps gifts in the most chaotic way so nobody can guess what they got before they open it. They make a guessing game of it though and whoever is closest gets extra candy.
Everyone has to wear a santa hat. Yes, even Lan Qiren.
Jin Ling spends Christmas morning with Jiang Cheng and then rushes over to the wangxian house with Ouyang Zizhen. Sometimes he tries to drag his uncle with him. And sometimes he lets himself be dragged.
The gingerbread house contest is taken way too seriously by everyone. There's frosting all over the walls by the end, its a mess. There is never a clear winner and everyone accuses Lan Wangji (designated judge) to favoritism towards Lan Sizhui.
As Christmas Day ends and everybody returns to their homes, it is cleaning up and cuddling by the tree that WangXian enjoy most. If it snows, they watch it together in comfortable silence, maybe put on a movie in the background.
Then Wei Wuxian pulls the Christmas lingerie and the calm dissipates into a fit of giggles and moans.
BingQiu
Binghe enters the kitchen three days before Christmas and nobody sees him come out till Christmas Eve. He makes so much food it's insane. The place smells like a fairytale and Shen Qingqiu is pretty sure he has fallen in love with it almost as much as he's in love with his husband.
Shen Qingqiu is not allowed to do any work at all. No cooking, absolutely no cleaning, and they decorate the house together.
So much mistletoe. It's everywhere. The whole place is covered in it, their house is basically a mistletoe shrub at this point and there are so many kisses being shared
Binghe doesnt want to invite anyone over because his shizun is his and Christmas is about loved ones and Binghe definitely doesnt love those annoying peak lords! But he relents because he knows it means so much to Shen Qingqiu. He does not leave his side at all though and there's a hand around his waist constantly.
Everyone has to wear reindeer antlers just because Shen Qingqiu knows Shang Qinghua hates them and he likes pissing off this hack author. He gets over it quickly once he's given food though.
Shen Qingqiu gets so many gifts it's crazy. His harem is hard at work and he doesn't even realize it. He just thinks his friends are simply very thoughtful!
Binghe definitely gifts him some kind of strange sex toy among a million other things. It doesn't even look like a sex toy but Shen Qingqiu knows it is because the thing appeared a lot in pidw and he roasted Airplane about it every time. So much for that!
Binghe isn't allowed to fight Liu Qingge but that doesn't mean he won't try. There is a small chance of a food fight. Shang Qinghua manages the bets on who wins.
Mobei-Jun is just there cause Shang Qinghua is. He thinks this whole thing is very strange but he does like mulled wine so he will stick around. And if he and SQH disappear all of a sudden after a couple more cups of the thing, nobody asks questions.
Sha Hualing brings in some cursed demonic alcohol and SQQ has the half mind to just throw her out because he knows the effects of those drinks from pidw and he knows his body wont survive it. Binghe is very excited about it. Go figure.
Binghe does a slutty Kylie Minogue Santa Baby performance for SQQ after everyone leaves. He even has a see-through red outfit, stockings and a santa hat. Commitment to the bit I guess.

DRAMA REVIEW | Lovely Runner (2024)

Lovely Runner it's undoubtedly one of the best dramas of 2024.
It has all the elements that make a drama a mega hit: comedy, romance, time travel, well written characters (both leads and supporting ones) and an engaging plot line that never bores you. Starring Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok, adapted from the web novel The Best of Tomorrow by screenwriter Lee Shi Eun and directed by Yoon Jong Ho and Kim Tae Yub, the Lovely Runner team achieved a perfect execution in front and behind the camera.
I think the true star of this drama it's the writing and on this I can't commend Lee Si Eun enough. I had already seen her potential in dramas like True Beauty but here she really manages to shine through a well crafted, smart and cohesive story with no loose ends. I'm incredibly impressed by her talent.
The writing was perfectly complemented by the directors's outstanding work in leading a film crew that was on every detail of each part of the story, in each timeline, never missing a beat. Always delivering their A+++ game. But there was also great work done from the directors part in helping the actors get the comedic timing exactly right, the more emotional scenes to deliver and the team work among cast and crew to be flawless.
Lovely Runner might be a big hit now, but it's actually a sleeper hit. The lack of promotion this drama had was embarrassing and if it wasn't for the devoted fans, studio executives would have never realized they had a gem in their hands. So, it's not only a great drama with a super fandom that really fought for this story, it's also becoming yet another prime example in the list of films and tv that achieved all of it by themselves because artists delivered nothing short of excellence.
On this point I can't ignore the incredible performances given by the entire cast. Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok are definitely the standouts, they stole the show, this is their story and the actors chemistry it's electrifying. But the way supportive actors would show up in a scene and push the story forward in a coherent way and even make it better, it's wild to me. The chemistry this cast had it's a rare feat for an ensamble cast and how they managed to transition seamlessly through different phases of their characters's lives and relationships when events, in each timeline, were changing because of the things our leads did they still remain truthful. So, not only the leads are well developed in this drama but also every single character that shows up, no matter how small the role is.
The best example of this it's actor Heo Hyeong-Gyu who has been working for sixteen years, playing very minor characters, finally having a breakthrough in the industry because of his role in this drama. And while his presence was prominent and important to the story, he barely had lines. So his entire performance is mainly based on micro-expressions or physical stunts.
I also fully expect the actors like Song Geon-Hee, Lee Seung-Hyub, Song Ji-Ho or Seo Hye-won to receive a lot of what korean entertainment industry calls "love calls" aka commercials, dramas and films, among other things.
Experiencing watching Lovely Runner alongside the fandom, waiting every week for a new episode, it's a big part of what made this drama so good. Healthy and good loving fun people, clowning, poking fun at our faves and crying at heartbreak. It's been a long time since I have been able to engage in this way with other fans and I am thankful for them, the cast and crew for all these amazing weeks of fun.
Rating: 10/10

In celebration of my merlin being a little wilder and also today being Holi, Let today Merlinverse musical march be a hindi song about rain.
(rough and direct translation by me)
tikhi tikhi nukili si bunde (spicy pointed drops) bahke bahke se badal wo ninde (scattered clouds drowsy) git gaati hawa me, gungunaati ghata me (singing songs in the wind, humming in the sky) bhig gaya mera man (my soul is now drenched) bhig gaya mera man (my soul is now drenched)
ho mastiyo ke ghut pi, shokhiyo me tair ja (drink the fun, swim in mischief) ishq ki galiyo me aa, in palo me thahar ja (come to the alleys of love, stop in these moments) rab ka hai ye aaina, shakal ha isko dikha (this is the mirror of god, show it your face) zindagi ghud dod hai, do ghadi lele maza (life is always in a horse race, have some fun for 2 moments) chamke chamke ye jharno ke dhare (these shimmering streams of the waterfall) tan pe malmal si padti fuhare (these silk soft steams fall on the body) ped hai manchale se, patte hai chulbule se (the trees have their own minds and the leaves are bubby aever) bhig gaya mera man (my soul is now drenched) bhig gaya mera man (my soul is now drenched)
ho dagmagati chandni, hans rahi hai josh me (the flickering moonlight, laughs in vigour) aur patange ga rahe, ha raag maal kons me (and the kites are signing in raag maal kons) banke nache behaya, besharm pagli hawa (the wind dances crazily and shamelessly) zindagi milke gale, hans rahi de de dua (our life sings and laughs, give us your wishes) barse barse re ambar ka pani (it rains and rains water from the sky) jisko pi pi ke dharti diwani (which the earth drinks and drinks and becomes obsessed/moonstruck/crazy) khilkhilane lagi hai, muskurane lagi hai (it laughs and it smiles) bhig gaya mera man (my soul is now drenched) bhig gaya mera man (my soul is now drenched) bhig gaya mera man (my soul is now drenched) bhig gaya mera man (my soul is now drenched)
(Holy hell that took a LONG time, also damn the amount of synonyms is crazy up here, honestly hail Kailash Kher me literally gives life to this song)
So, as proclaimed, my Merlin is a little bit wilder, and she has this deep connection to nature. Particularly to rain, the rain soothes her soul, makes her smile, she has never once shied away from spontaneous rain(and maybe it isn't so spontaneous), after her amnesia she has absolutely NO clue why this happens, all she knows is that she always just wants to make it rain(sometimes the wishes work, Misarte must be listening to her...right?)

LỜI HỒI ĐÁP 1997: TUỔI MƯỜI TÁM VÀ NHỮNG LỜI YÊU CÒN BỎ NGỎ.
Tên tiếng Anh: Reply 1997 Đạo diễn: Shin Won Ho Năm phát hành: 2012 Diễn viên chính: Jung Eun Ji, Seo In Guk, Hoya, Shin So Yul, Eun Ji Won, Lee Shi Eon, Sung Dong Il, Lee II Hwa, Song Jong Ho.
“Lý do tớ thích cậu… Lý do tớ thích cậu là gì ư? Bởi vì đó chính là cậu. Chỉ là cậu mà thôi. Còn lý do nào khác nữa sao?

OK so i saw a couple of trending dramas, here are my reviews on them hihi :)
Strong girl nam soon = ... wtf was that drama. Dgw, I love love my girl yoomi, but boy did her character make me wanna whack her ass back to Mongolia. Ik the directors tried to make her quote quirky unquote. But they missed the mark by a couple thousand miles, she's more of an airhead than a quirky, bubbly girl. I hate, hate the characters sm in the drama, they're all so.... one dimensional. Probably that's why many are defending shi-o or were rooting for him, cause he's the only one with some depth to his character. Half the scenes with ML and namsoon were so ... weird. It all felt so forced, there was no pining like its super iconic predecessor strong woman do bongsoon, there were no iconic scenes like minhyuk melting into a puddle when bongsoon called him min min or gokdu's tsundere antics, this drama gave nothing. And why bother calling it strong girl nam soon when half the entire drama revolved around her mother's weird ass obsession with being a messiah and the grandmother's cringey love story. It's sad to see such talent get wasted on a script that looked like a newborn had written it. 4/10 would not recommend.
Business proposal = ikik this drama isn't 'trending' perse but it still is quite highly talked about. And I'm glad I checked it out, the chemistry between seol in-ah and minkyu was JS8W8SOQ8SJQKA91828SIW lmao and ahn hyeon seop nailed the role. Such a lighthearted and fun drama, sejeong's quirky-ness was adorable and funny, I still giggle whenever I remember 'Rachel and samantha'. I was a bit worried that they'll go on a an entire tangent on the ceo's back story, but I'm glad they didn't and kept it light and fun but also simultaneously giving the ceo closure and comfort. 7/10 would recommend because I'm scared of the archeopteryx
Twinkling watermelon = wtf was that drama pt 2. But In a good way. It scared me so deeply but also applied ointment and gave me a hug. Such a comforting drama. No drama could ever make me cry on the second episode but guess what, twinkling watermelon did that. I was bawling throughout, but also laughed, and cooed because the chemistry between eomma and appa was adorable! No wonder they love each other sm, they've been thru so much. :(((( as someone who's worried about my youth slipping away, I found immense comfort in that drama. And how eun ho said something along the lines of, "enjoy your youth, it's the only time you'll twinkle. You don't have to be worried about me sk much, I'll find my way, it's my life after all" >>>>> and the ending when the music master said, "to you and to everyone you wish to protect, viva la vida, long live life" I'm never getting over that drama. Although I did find seol's character a bit annoying in the beginning because she wasn't letting eomma and appa meet but then I fell for her too lol. What a cutie. 9/10 would recommend to everyone till the time I'm blocked by them.
My demon = the newly trending song Kang drama was quite fun to see, although only 2 eps are out, I'm invested lol. I've always been a huge fan of Kang since I saw him in sweet home. And yoojung is practically my wife. The chemistry was off the roof, the visuals, the tension, the acting, the humor >>>>>> 8/10 I'm excited to see how this drama will unfold. I've a lot of expectations.

Make Mate 1, Episode 7: we creMATE common sense.
This will be the shortest episode of the series so far, clocking in at just over an hour. I’m hoping this means no eliminations right now. Two of my picks, Miraku and Kim Hak Sung, need to prove themselves in the battles today. They’re ranked at 13 and 23, respectively, and they need to move up. Let’s do this.
Suddenly, we get rankings again, based on the previous week’s online voting. I can hardly bear to look.
Number 26 is Yoon Jae Yong. Falls from Number 12 right after his Black Mamba Team wins with special stage effects. He was ranked third on his team and still fell 14 spots. I’m starting to think these voters are fickle.
Number 25 is Seo Ji Ho. His Unforgiven Team just lost in the last episode, and now he’s down 5 spots.
Number 24 is Choi Min Joon. Hasn’t ranked higher than 22 all series.
Number 23 is 07 Kim Seung Ho. Because I just found out which one he is, I don’t know if he’s rising or falling.
Number 22 is Shin “Triceps” Won Chun. He’s plummeted from Number 7. He’s fallen right off the platform.
Number 21 is 06 Kim Seung Ho. I don’t know why I bothered figuring out these two when it looks like they’re on their way out.
Number 20 is Jung Jae Young. Our 200-song dancing machine falls two spots.
Number 19 is Tukuma, down from Number 9. What’s going on here? This is our second trainee so far to fall a long way off the platform. His TXT Team won in their battle, and he still fell this far. This isn’t good.
Number 18 is our flexible Kim Shi On, who has also fallen off the platform. He was Number 3 last time. His team hasn’t even performed yet.
Number 17 is Jeong Hyun Wook. Rises 4 spots after his Unforgiven Team loses. Now I’m starting to think the voters aren’t just fickle. They might also be drunk.
Number 16 is Jung Hyun Joon. Our 15 year-old show maknae also fell off the platform, dropping 8 spots. He’s led two teams to defeat, and now this. Poor kid.
Number 15 is Lee Jang Hee. Jumped 10 spots, and again, his team didn’t even perform last episode.
Number 14 is Jang Hyun Joon, our theme song’s main vocalist. He ranked Number 2 last time. The platform is going to look drastically different.
Number 13 is Noh Ki Hyun. Mr. Popular is up four spots. His SHINee Team lost, but he was the top vote-getter on his team. Not that it seems to mean anything with the voters when it comes to overall rankings, especially when they seem to be voting from inside bottles of Soju.
Number 12 is my pick Miraku. Up one spot, and again, his team hasn’t even performed yet.
Number 11 is Midori, and wow, that’s a huge leap. He barely survived getting eliminated at Number 26 last episode, and over the course of a week, he shot up 15 spots.
Now for the Top 10.

Number 10 is Lee Do Ha. Up from 22. I have mixed feelings about this, which we’ll address later when his team performs in this episode.
Number 9 is An Xin. Up from Number 15 after his Black Mamba Team wins and he ranks 2nd on his team.
Number 8 is Kim Hak Sung – WHAT?! My defector rose 15 spots to land on the platform! Drink all you want, voters. You clearly make good decisions when you’re drinking.
Number 7 is Jo Min Jae, our Six Singers guy who has dropped one spot but stays on the platform. I know he’ll make it to the final group. He’s stayed in the Top 7 all series.
Number 6 is my K-pop Elvis pick, Han Yu Seop! Up five spots and back on the platform. And I think I already know where my final pick, Bing Fan, is going to land, so I can breathe easy now.
Number 5 is Seo Yoon Deok. Our SCUBA diver rose 11 spots, but I already promised I wouldn’t make a joke about getting the bends.
Number 4 is Jeon Joon Pyo. Riizes 6 spots after leading three teams in a row to victory. After this series ends, I’m going to Google to find out if Riize noticed and maybe threw a few votes his way.
Number 3 is Lin. This is the trainee who shot up from 21 to 4 last time. He’s up one more spot. The fans must adore him.
Number 2 is Jia Hao, finally back on the platform after losing battles again and again. Which, of course, leaves us with the Jooheon Pledge Keeper…
Number 1, Bing Fan. Our handsome king and top vote-getter on Team Unforgiven. His team may have lost that round, but it seems nothing will keep him out of that top spot.
And now we go back to the venue stage with our EXO idol, Xiumin. It’s time for the Solo Artist Song Battle. The artists are G-Dragon and Taeyang. Our two teams take the stage looking like total badasses, and I am so ready for this. Even our pretty boy Midori looks like he’s here to throw down.

Xiumin chats with our teams, and we learn that each team gained a new member during the team reshuffling. We get some more adorable trash-talking, because apparently Team B did very poorly at the interim check, because of course they did. I’m sure we’ll see it in a flashback.

Xiumin tosses the MA1 chip, which he calls the “chip of destiny,” to see which team will go first. Team B wins the toss, so now it’s time for them to introduce themselves.
Midori, our viral TikTok dancer from Japan. He was the late addition to this group, and it looks like he’s the team Leader. Backstage, the celebrity guest judges remember seeing his viral videos and imitate some of his moves.
Jang Hyun Joon, our show’s theme song main vocalist.
Noh Ki Hyun, our “most popular” guy, who ironically is struggling in the ratings. I bet he really wishes his fellow contestants hadn’t given him that title.
Kim Hak Sung, my North Korean defector pick, who looks ready for battle. The sporty street look works on him.
Jo Min Jae, our Six Singers descendant, fresh off his Battle 1 win on SHINee Team A.
And finally, Choi Min Joon, who has been struggling in the rankings all series. This performance will be do or die for him.
Now for the artist and song reveal. Team B will be performing Taeyang’s song “Ringa Linga.” I like the clip they play. The choreo looks really difficult. Backstage, Sunwoo and Ju Hak Nyeon from The Boyz, some of the best dancers in K-pop, say the choreo is intimidating.
Xiumin sets up what sounds like an interesting flashback. Apparently, during Team B’s rehearsals, Jang Hyun Joon lost his Leader position to Midori. Please don’t let this be over some expression contest. Back in time we go.
We open on Team B right after the eliminations. They’ve lost several teammates and are down to five. They’re hoping Miraku will join them. They don’t want Midori to join them because they don’t think he’ll do the choreography very well, which is a strange thing to say about a guy who went viral on TikTok because of his dancing. Jang Hyun Joon even says if their team gets Miraku instead of Midori, he’ll gladly hand over the Leader position. This team has weird priorities.

Then Midori walks in. It’s awkward. The trainees actually lie to his face that they were talking about how great it would be to have him on their team. They know he’s going to be watching this footage, right? This has to be scripted. Then they tell him the trouble they’ve been having since they’ve lost three teammates and add, “You’ve arrived in hell.”
Remember, Midori didn’t choose to join this team. He was forced to because he’s the lowest-ranking member. He’s also bummed because he was forced to leave Team Unforgiven, and he loves that song. He was so excited when he was originally put on that team. Good Lord, this show is mean.
So with a week to go, and two weeks wasted practicing a song he won’t be doing, Midori focuses on learning a whole new routine. He finally starts getting the hang of it and decides to have fun with it. He brings that positive attitude to the interim check in front of the judges. That positivity is short-lived. Right away, they want to know why Midori is the leader, and just like with the previous team, it’s because Midori won an expression contest.
Okay. For the record, a K-pop group’s Leader acts as the group’s representative, parental figure, problem-solver, spokesperson, peacekeeper, and sometimes the scapegoat when things go wrong. He’s the glue that keeps the group together. It’s a very important position that is not assigned based on an expression contest. What the hell is wrong with this show?
Then one of the judges says to Midori, in front of all his teammates, “But I hear this team didn’t want you on their team.” This is news to Midori, based on the expression on his face that he just won the Leader position for. None of the other trainees can meet his eyes. Then they try to stammer out an explanation. Keep in mind they haven’t even started their rehearsal yet, and now they’re off their game.

Midori gives us "getting bad news" realness.
The team tries to smooth things over with Midori, who insists that it’s FINE, the same way I insist that everything is FINE when inside I’m screaming and setting things on fire. Then Team B gets into formation and does a chaotic and clumsy rehearsal. When they get to their final pose, they know this hasn’t gone well.
The judges are quiet for a minute. Then one of them says, “I heard that Midori became the Leader for his expressions. But I don’t fully understand that. Why did he become the Leader?”
WHAT.
I thought the showrunners dictated that. No one said anything when Jung Hyun Joon was made Leader of his team for the same reason. You mean the trainees came up with that dumb idea on their own? Why didn’t anyone stop them?
Even more bewilderingly, we don’t get an answer. The other judges throw in their comments about how bad the rehearsal was, almost like they’re trying to change the subject, and I wish I could stop them and get back to how the “Expression Equals Leader” precedent was set. It makes zero sense.
Team B goes back into rehearsal. They change the lighting in the room and their outfits to get more immersed in the song. The choreo starts really coming together. Midori, for some reason, is still the Leader. And now, our flashback ends. Showtime.

They’re definitely having fun up there. They do a great job with a difficult song. The tempo of the song keeps changing, and it feels like someone with a very short attention span wrote it. The song doesn’t work for me, but the trainees did their best to keep up with it and gave an exciting performance. The judges and fans love it, and I know it was a big hit song, so I hope it give my pick Kim Hak Sung the boost he needs.
Time for Team A. They line up and introduce themselves.
Takuma. He’s been up and down the rankings, on and off the platform. He needs to kill the stage.
My pick Miraku. He’s been mostly in the teens in the rankings and also needs a big win.
Lin. We’ve got all the single-named trainees on this team. His fans love him so much, he shot up like a bullet in the rankings and is currently at Number 3.

Lee Jang Hee. He managed to struggle up to 15 in the rankings and needs to stand out more.
Lee Do Ha. He’s managed to get to the Number 10 spot, but I just don’t see him making it to the final group. He’s been on winning teams on this series, but he struggles to learn choreo and just doesn’t seem to have the talent or the drive.
And finally, our flexible Kim Shi On. Based on the rankings, I don’t think he’ll make it to the end either, but I really want him to. I’m pulling for this kid.
Team A will perform “Crooked” by G-Dragon. We learn that Takuma has been the leader of this group all along, so there’s been no mutiny based on an expression contest. However, his teammates say he was difficult as a Leader. You don’t say. Well, we need a storyline for this flashback, so here we go.
We cut right to the interim check in front of the judges. This group, like Team B, lost several members in the elimination. They were hoping to get Jia Hao or Bing Fan moved to their team. Instead, they got Miraku. Unlike Team B, they were not good at hiding their disappointment. What immature little jerks. I hope Miraku steals the show and all the votes.
So they manage to talk through it and gather for the interim check. They run through the performance. It’s a mixed bag. Takuma and Miraku get praise. And as I expected, Lee Do Ha is the weak link. He stumbles and forgets steps all through the choreo. I really don’t think he’s cut out for this. The judges actually call his performance a disaster. His rapping is also not good. He keeps losing the rhythm.
The good news is that Miraku continues to get high praise. He’s the one who fell apart after one little mistake in Stage 1, so I love seeing him gain confidence.
Team A goes back into rehearsal, and this is where Leader Takuma starts changing from nice guy into strict parent. He scolds the ones making mistakes and starts trying to whip everyone into shape. He also gets them some metal costume jewelry to make them look tougher, but somehow it make them look even more adorable.

Hi. We're bad to the bone.
Let’s see how this all works out. It’s showtime.

I don’t know what’s gotten into my pick Miraku, but he’s turned into a full-on rock star. I barely recognize the kid who was crying over one cracked note in Stage 1. He’s a man possessed in Stage 3.
I’m not crazy about this song either, but Team A is incredible performing it. The dance break is the best one I’ve seen on this series so far, maybe even out of all the shows I’ve recapped. The confidence level of this team is insane.
Hands down, Team A is the better performance. But I know how things can turn out on these shows. Even with the judges raving about Miraku, Takuma, and Lin, and even with Team B sweating with insecurity backstage, this could still go either way.
Both teams take the stage. The votes are tallied. And …
Team B wins.

Midori gives us "my team won" realness.
I am legitimately stunned. Both teams did a great job, but Team A was clearly beyond anything we’ve seen so far. The transformation of Miraku alone … but I get it. And besides, this is a win for my other pick, Kim Hak Sung, so I’ll take it. Also, I think this is the first time Midori has been on a winning team, so I’m happy for him.
But dammit, I’m really disappointed.
I’m very curious to see what these individual scores will look like.

I don’t understand the voters. I want them to explain themselves. Miraku deserved the top spot on his team. I do understand that Kim Hak Sung didn’t stand out enough to rank higher, but I do not understand about Miraku.
The third stage is officially over. The B Teams have won all the benefit points in Round 2.
We will get new rankings next episode, but there’s no way to predict any of this. I’m going to eat Yasso Bars until I feel better. See you next episode.

I Proposed in Front of 100,000 People at an Arijit Singh Concert – Here's How It Happened
When I first heard of the chance to propose to my girlfriend in front of a massive crowd of 100,000 people during Arijit Singh’s live performance of "Tum Hi Ho," I felt an electric mix of excitement and nerves. Could I really do this? As someone who usually shies away from big crowds, this wasn’t exactly in my comfort zone. But I also knew this would be an unforgettable moment—a memory we’d have forever.
Taking the Leap
When I told Huntware (the team behind the event) that I was interested, they walked me through how it would all work. There was a lot to prepare, but they handled everything down to the tiniest details so I could focus on just being there, in the moment, for my girlfriend. It felt unreal, knowing that my love story would become part of a magical evening with one of India’s biggest stars.
The day of the concert, my heart was racing. As Arijit started singing, I could feel the anticipation building. It was the song we'd listened to on repeat, “Tum Hi Ho,” a song that had soundtracked so many moments of our relationship.
The Moment
When the spotlight found us, and I got down on one knee, it was as if time slowed down. All I could see was her face. The crowd was cheering, the music was playing, and for a few moments, the entire world just faded away. I asked her to be with me forever, and she said yes. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that smile on her face.
A Dream Come True
The whole experience, from planning to the actual proposal, was beyond anything I’d imagined. Huntware made it feel like a fairy tale but kept everything real and personal. My friends were in shock when they saw the video—they couldn't believe I'd pulled it off! And my girlfriend? She was over the moon. Now, every time we hear "Tum Hi Ho," it’s even more special.
Why I’d Do It Again in a Heartbeat
I know big public proposals aren’t for everyone, but if you’re thinking about doing something unforgettable for your special person, I’d say go for it. Life’s too short not to take risks and create moments you’ll cherish forever.
Huntware made it all happen, and they’ll forever be part of our story. To anyone considering it, I can promise this: there’s nothing quite like sharing your love with the world on such a grand stage.
Yes this is just a story if you are thinking of feel this same experience with your partner, we are very happy to help. Visit: Huntware and book your seats (if available).

Kim Busik can be said to be a representative of Goryeo's civil servants and at the same time the last tattoo power before the Musin Coup. At the same time, he is also the person who provided the opportunity for the military coup to occur along with Han Loe, Kim Don-jung, and Uijong. His son, Kim Don-joong, seems to have been frivolous and rude. His son also made a big contribution (?) to the establishment of the military regime as a pair with his father.
In the history of Goryeo, there is a record that on New Year's Eve[16], a ritual to chase away evil spirits was held, and each of the servants had a kind of talent show[17]. In the midst of rampaging and enjoying each other, an incident occurs in which Kim Don-joong, the young son of Kim Bu-shik, who was a eunuch [18], looked at the shamans with ease, and burned and ate the beard of Jeong Jung-bu, who was then Gyeonryongdaejeong [19], with a candle.[20]
Of course, Jeong Joong-bu, who was angry, beat and cursed Kim Don-jung, who was not cheap, but the problem was that Kim Bu-sik couldn't give such a bad son a face, but when his son was beaten, he accepted it as a challenge to his family and went into a rage, saying that he should punish Jung-jung and torture him the same way. insisted [21], and inevitably the race allowed it to do so.
No matter how much tattoos were a greater society than martial gods [22], Kim Don-joong was beaten and insulted by Jeong Jung-bu, but Kim Bu-sik and Kim Don-joong did too much. However, Injong was a person who cared about Jung Joong-bu, and he did not actually punish him because he secretly let him run away.
Anyway, this incident made Jeong Jung-bu hold a deep grudge for decades, and eventually this grudge became the seed of a rebellion by the shamans. Kim Pu-sik died in 1151, and when the Musin Coup occurred in 1170, about 19 years after that, Kim Don-jung was beaten to death by the swords of shamans and suffered a gruesome end. Kim Busik was also a famous Confucius fan. He praised the king's visit to Gukhak and held a memorial service for Confucius, and wrote 'Hahaenggukhakpyo', which insisted that the memorial service for Confucius should continue to be held in the future. was also revealed. The fact that he liked Confucius so much was also the part that ignited the evaluation that Kim Pu-shik was a mother-in-law.
However, as a Confucian scholar, this was a very natural behavior. Considering that the political system of Goryeo itself was based on Confucianism in the first place, there is nothing strange about it. Seo Hee, Kang Gam-chan, and Yoon Gwan of the previous generations were Confucian scholars who studied Confucian scriptures and reached government positions through the past. am. Because of this, it is difficult to say that Kim Bu-shik emulated Confucius so prominently. In fact, they liked Confucius, but for Confucian scholars of the Goryeo Dynasty, Jeonggwanjeongyo became a culture and many people practiced according to the theory of Xunzi, and moreover, Confucianism in this era had a very patriotic tendency, and intervened quite often in rebellions.
Perhaps because the name was taken from Su Shi (Su Dong-po), a famous poet of the Song Dynasty, it also reinforces such prejudice.[24][25] Danjae Shin Chae-ho is a typical person who criticized Kim Pu-sik as a flunkeyist. However, it is written in the Joseon Sanggosa that Kim Bu-shik concentrated national history into the flunkeyist 『Samguksagi』 and obliterated other librarians who had been handed down at the time, but this is not true, and decades later, during the time of Jehyeon Lee and Ilyeon, or even in the early Joseon Dynasty over a hundred years later, 《Samguksagi》 Several librarians from earlier periods have been handed down and cited. In the first place, Sadae itself is not the concept of blindly following other countries as many people think. Since the opponent is a great country that is much stronger than our national strength, the logic is that rather than confronting it, we should get what we can gain by currying favor. Although realistic and conservative, it is a completely different concept from selling traitors or national identity.[26] In addition, Kim Bu-sik showed a move to thoroughly take care of practical interests, not following China, but he did not strongly oppose Lee Ja-gyeom's insistence to give a punishment to gold, which he saw as a northern barbarian rather than Song, and openly rejected the southern Song who asked for help from Goryeo. was also seen

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo Commento
DIO BENEDICA QUEST'UOMO.
Ehmmm... what?
- i disordini alimentari
I personaggi secondari
I piani strategici
Consigliata? Sì.

Make Mate 1, Episode 6: legitiMATE waste of rehearsal time

Welcome back, fellow MATEs, as we start the second half of this series with zero eliminations, one mysteriously vanished contestant, two Kim Seung Ho’s, and one of my picks, survivor Kim Hak Sung, who really needs to step up his game. I have a bad feeling he’s going to get eliminated. Let’s cross our fingers and toes and dive right in.
We’re back at the rankings, with everyone standing on their numbers, and a disembodied announcer voice tells them there will be eliminations today. Today, as in this episode? We’re going to have to move quickly through this next round of battles, then.
A spotlight shines on Xiumin, who’s rocking a black leather jacket. It looks like we’re actually going to start with another round of rankings right now. We learn that two weeks have passed since the last episode, and during that time, the viewing audience has been voting, so now we’re going to re-do the rankings with those votes added in. All 35 of them.
How many trainees will be eliminated today? A huge red Number 9 appears on the big screen over the trainees’ heads. Only nine? So we’ll still be left with 26. I yearn for the days of No Mercy. Then we learn that after these rankings, Numbers 27-35 will automatically be eliminated.
Now we learn something even more interesting. During the past two weeks, these trainees have been rehearsing for the next Battle. Just like in Boys Planet, once we do these eliminations, the teams will have to be rearranged. Why is this happening again? It wasn’t a good idea last time. What a waste of time for these trainees.
Well, my opinion doesn’t matter, so let’s get into it. We’re starting with the Top 9.

Number 9 is Takuma. Down from 3, but still on the sparkly platform.
Number 8 is Jung Hyun Joon. Our show maknae. Dropped one spot from 7.
Number 7 is Uber Athlete Shin Won Chun. Down from Number 5. Everyone is dropping so far, but not by much.
Number 6 is Jo Min Jae, our Six Singers descendant. He was in 6th place last time, so he’s staying put.
Number 5 is one of the Kim Seung Ho’s. Just watch both of them make it into the final group. This is the one who was in 4th place last time, so he’s down one spot.
Number 4 is Lin. Holy. Crap. He was at 21 before. The audience vote shot him up 17 spots, and he didn’t even get any benefit points because he was on the losing “Sherlock” team. Lin looks confused and has to turn around to look at the number on the screen to make sure. There’s something inspiring about seeing him walk away from his spot on the floor and step up on the platform.
Number 3 is our flexible trainee, Kim Shi On. Up from the 9th spot. Not bad. I love how his face lights up.
Number 2 is Jang Hyun Joon. Our theme song main vocalist stays in the same spot as last round.
Number 1 is still Bing Fan. He has now invented Handsome Digging His Heels in and Not Budging an Inch.

And this means that my K-pop Elvis pick Han Yu Seop has been knocked off the platform. The voters seem to be going for the pretty boy idols. Out of all the jimseung-dols on this show, he’s the jimseung-est. He should have been on No Mercy. Let’s see where he lands.
Now for rankings 10 through 26. Anyone who isn’t called for these spots is being cut. I think Han Yu Seop and Miraku will be okay, but I’m worried about Kim Hak Sung. (deep breath) Here we go.
Number 10 is Jeon Joon Pyo. Our Riize shout-out recipient was Number 10 last time as well.
Number 11 is Han Yu Seop. Oh, thank goodness. From 8 to 11 is not much of a drop, but I still want him back on that platform.
Number 12 is Yoon Jae Yong. He was also Number 12 last time.
Number 13 is my ASTRO fan pick Miraku, down from 11 and still in the game. That leaves just my North Korean escapee pick left.
Number 14 is the other Kim Seung Ho. “Sunny” would have been a good nickname for one of these guys. Or just lean in and call yourself “Kim The Other One.” You might get points for humor.

Number 15 is An Xin. Down one spot, even though he has benefit points from being on winning teams.
Number 16 is SCUBA diver Seo Yoon Deok, up from 20. I’ve been kind of hoping he’d have a bigger rise so I could make a SCUBA joke about him getting the bends from rising so fast, so it’s probaby a good thing that it didn’t happen.
Number 17 is Noh Gi Hyun, who is finally moving back up, even if it’s just one spot.
Number 18 is Jung Jae Young. Our 200-song dancing machine is down five slots.
There are eight slots left in the safe zone, and I’m getting more and more worried about Kim Hak Sung.
Number 19 is Jia Hao, the SHINee team Leader. He’s dropped two spots.
Number 20 is Seo Ji Ho. Our dreamy guy has dropped a spot.
Number 21 is Jung Hyun Wook. Dropped from 15. From the way everyone is falling, I really think Kim Hak Sung is going to get cut.
Number 22 is Lee Do Ha. Okay, he’s up 5 slots. Maybe the tide is turning.
Number 23 is KIM HAK SUNG! Oh, thank goodness. Up three spots. Thank you, voters! My four picks are now safely out of danger.
Number 24 is Choi Min Joon. Down two spots. He was on the losing SHINee Sherlock team.
Only two spots left in the safe zone.
Number 25 is Lee Jang Hee, down two spots. He was on the losing TXT Crown team.
The last safe spot, Number 26, is … oh for fuck’s sake. They’re going to announce the eliminated trainees first. Isn’t it too early in the episode to be giving the viewers heart attacks?
The eliminated trainees are:
Kai. Our banana milk-loving Japanese trainee has had nothing but bad luck on this show. He had to see this coming (he first ranked 35 and then 32), but he still looks stunned. I really want to look him up and see if he’s still in the industry, but I have to wait until the final episode to avoid spoilers. Also, the show just ended about a month ago, so I’m not sure there will be much to tell.

Aki. He also ranked low this entire series, never getting above 27. He takes it better than Kai did. This could not have been a surprise.
Chen Shiau Fu. I feel badly for him because he got so close. Started at 36, shot up to 6, plummeted to 34, and then got eliminated. That really sucks.
Jo Seung Hyun. He got praise from the judges for his expression and looking like he wanted to destroy the stage, but he never ranked higher than 22. He leaves with a resigned smile and tells us he’s not giving up and not to give up on him. Atta boy. That’s how you exit a survival reality show.
Yoon Ho Hyun. No surprise here. He’s been a weak dancer with a poor attitude for most of the show. He’s a visual stunner, so he should probably look into modeling.
Jo Jae Hyun. First ranked at 15 and then sank. He never really stood out. In a poetic confessional, he tells us, “I feel that the past few months have become dust, so I feel a sense of futility about that.” I get it. If he had been able to make a mark in any way, he would have been able to walk away with something to be proud of and a sense of accomplishment, but instead, it just feels like wasted time.
Ki Hyung Joon. Ooooh, our clunky mustard trainee. I’ve always had a soft spot for this adorkably awkward kid, but he’s always ranked in the 30s. Maybe don’t mention mustard greens when auditioning for a show where you have to appeal to voters like me who prefer steak sauce.
Choi Han Gyul. Oof. This guy had potential. He was a fan favorite and top vote-getter, ranking high at Number 4. Then he plummeted to 33, even after his 2pm Team won. I really don’t know what happened here.
Okay, two contestants left. Kim Sun Yub and Midori. One will survive, and the other is going home.
The survivor, now ranking at Number 26, is Midori. I had a feeling he would make it. He’s our viral TikTok dancer and the prettiest of pretty boys, and he deserves to stay and keep fighting. Kim Sun Yub is the one who came out of the gate in Stage 1 by getting into a fight with a teammate and calling him out on it onstage.
Wait … the one Kim Sun Yub argued with was Kim Se Gon, and I just realized he’s no longer here. He’s the one who disappeared after Episode 3. I can’t wait to Google that story when this show is over.
The eliminated contestants leave. We’re only 26 minutes into this episode, but I’m emotionally exhausted and feeling like I just watched a full 90-minute episode.
I can’t imagine how the trainees feel, especially since they’ve been rehearsing for two weeks, and now teams will need to be reshuffled. They could have just taken a two-week vacation while the fan votes came in. I will never understand why this is a thing on these shows. On Boys Planet, it felt like an accident of bad planning. This does not feel like an accident.
Now we cut to D-Day for Round Two of this Battle. Time to see some more live performances and more flashbacks, which I’ll try to skip through unless something interesting happens.
It’s pouring rain, but the always-devoted fans are waiting in line under tents and umbrellas. We get interview clips with them. One girl likes Shin Won Chun’s forearms. Another says Lee Do Ha is the best. They are so sweet.

The fans are admitted inside, and the show starts. Xiumin, looking dapper in a beret, appears on a screen. He’s live from the green room with the other trainees. The fans are delirious. Xiumin then comes out onto the stage to get this party started. We’ll start by meeting some new guest judges. We’re told they are K-pop idol veterans. I’m excited. We got ENHYPEN last time. Can this episode top that?
Our guests judges walk onto the stage and OH MY GOD. (faints)

Okay – I’m okay. I’ll be okay. (chugging water) Our first two guest judges are Sunwoo and Ju Hak Nyeon. They’re from a little group called THE BOYZ! I love this group. I love so many of their songs. Their video for “Roar” is one of the best music videos ever. This is awesome.

The other two guest judges are Sieun and Yoon from a girl group called STAYC. I’m sure they’re great, but I’m sorry, The Boyz are here!
The representatives of these two groups are here to focus on expression. Sieun and Yoon perform some choreo from one of their songs, showing joy and big smiling energy. The song is called “Teddy Bear,” and again I’m sorry, but I just can’t get into these cutesy girl groups. Thankfully, Sunwoo and Ju Hak Nyeon are next, and they bring explosive energy as they do some choreo from their song “Maverick.”
Our guest judges leave for the judges’ room, and Xiumin announces that Round 2 of the song battles will begin. The theme of Round 2 will be “Change.” It involves solo and girl group K-pop songs. Based on the trainees’ less than positive reactions, they’re as thrilled about this as I am.

The girl groups being showcased in this round will be LE SSERAFIM and aespa. The solo artists will be G-Dragon and Taeyang. I’ve heard of the two girl groups but don’t know anything about them. G-Dragon, on the other hand, is definitely familiar. I’ve heard his name come up on these shows before. He’s known as the King of K-pop. He’s a role model for many of the trainees we’ve seen so far. He was in a boy band called BigBang, along with the other solo artist, Taeyang. Taeyang is no slouch either, as he’s considered by both fans and music critics to be one of the best vocalists in South Korea.
Time for a flashback. This is where we see the messed-up timeline. The new teams are formed and rehearse for two weeks, and then the eliminations happen. The nine trainees get cut.
Later that evening, the trainees gather in one of the practice studios, still bummed out after seeing nine of their new friends get cut. They’re about to get even more bummed out. Most of the cuts were from the A Groups, so now team reshuffling must be done, and rehearsals have to start all over again. Not only that, but the trainees who get moved to a new team will only have one week to learn the new performance.
No one wants to move to a new team. I don’t understand the point of scheduling eliminations like this, unless it’s to deliberately make things harder on the contestants. Kind of like the point-stealing on Wild Idol. To make it worse, the trainees don’t get to decide to leave or recruit other teammates like they did on Boys Planet. The decision is being made for them.
We don’t get to see who gets moved or how they react. Instead, we return to the stage and Xiumin. Time for Round 2 to begin.
We will only have two battles this time. The teams are bigger, with seven members on each team for the first battle, which will be the Girl Group Battle. The audience is surprised at this, especially since one team is dressed in full-on beast idol mode. Backstage, the judges comment that these performances will be about showing masculinity in the best way. As much as I don’t like the idea of bringing girl groups into this, I have to remember that we’ve seen male trainees performing girl group songs many times on these shows, especially on Boys Planet. All these performances have been interesting and fun. Especially Hui’s performance of “Shut Down” by BlackPink.
Xiumin tells both teams he heard they went through a “war of nerves” during rehearsals. Both teams trash-talk each other, which is really cute, according to the translation, which I swear I’m not making up:
Team A: We didn’t give your team a single thought. Team B: We didn’t give your team a single thought, either. Team A: We hope the audience will be the judge. Team B: We hope so, too. Team A: Okay, then. Trainees backstage: That was a good comment. Yoon Jae Yong has a way with words. Xiumin: Sparks are flying between these two groups already!
God, I love these K-pop shows.
Xiumin then tells us they will flip a coin (an MA1 chip) to decide which team goes first. The audience goes nuts, like he just announced they are deciding which team will be executed live onstage.

Group B wins the coin toss. They introduce themselves:
Team Leader Jeon Joon Pyo. Our Riize shout-out recipient, currently ranked at 10, just missing the platform.
One of my picks, bad boy Han Yu Seop, who should be required by federal law to always dress in black leather. He introduces himself as the Romantic Guitarist. He has a lot of fans in the audience screaming his name. Ladies, you need to be VOTING for him as well! Get him back on the sparkly platform!
Yoon Jae Yong. Ranked 12. Calls himself a skilled vocalist, which is kind of ballsy, considering the last team he sang with lost.
An Xin, who calls himself “Sexy Dimples.” If he makes it into the final group, he’s going to regret calling himself that when the name sticks.
Seo Yoon Deok. Our SCUBA diver who won a pull-up contest against current teammate Han Yu Seop back at the Hurricane Aftermath Resort. He’s been fighting his way back up in the rankings.

And finally, both Kim Seung Ho’s. Now that they are on the same team and standing next to each other, I can see which is which. The show puts a 6 in front of one of their names and a 7 in front of the other. Now I can reference this page in the recaps, especially since there’s a good chance at least one of them will make it to the final group.
Team B reveals the song they will be doing: “Black Mamba” by aesna. Judging by the audience reaction, this is a huge hit song. I do like the clip from the video they play. It’s a heavy bass track, giving this team plenty to work with.
Xiumin tells us that after the eliminations, this team was the only one unaffected. Wow. That must have given them a big advantage, since they didn’t have to start over with new members a week ago. They were able to spend the previous week perfecting their performance.
We learn that this is the third team that Jeon Joon Pyo has been the Leader for, which makes him the official Leader of MA1. He’s led his previous teams to victory. That’s promising. Now for a flashback. It starts the usual way. They’re having trouble learning the choreo. But then we get a twist. During rehearsal, the team that does better during the judges’ interim check will get special stage effects with their performance. Okay, MA1. That’s a good twist in the Flashback Formula. You have my attention. Proceed.
Team B keeps rehearsing, but there are still mistakes and increasing tension. They power through and manage to impress the judges at the interim check. The judges award them the special effects, so this should be one amazing performance. But wait – during the stage rehearsal with the stage effects, their performance has somehow gotten worse. Now the judges are pissed off. Can our Team B come back from this? What do you think? You should know the drill by now.

Of course, it’s perfection. They don’t even need the pyrotechnics to bring the fire. It’s wildy sexy with crazy energy. The audience is whipped into a frenzy. I love it. The bar for the other team has been set very, very high. During the final pose, Han Yu Seop winks at the girls screaming his name. I recommend they all get a pregnancy test immediately.
Now it’s time for Team A to take the stage. They line up and introduce themselves.
Team Leader Jung Hyun Joon. Our show’s 15 year-old maknae is giving the role of Leader another shot. The last team he led lost, and he took it hard.
My pick, Bing Fan, who has kept the Jooheon Pledge by protecting his Number 1 spot in the past three rankings.
Our Uber Athlete Shin Won Chun, who is getting better at smiling naturally.
Chinese contestant Jia Hao, also recovering from leading his last team to defeat.
Seo Ji Ho, the dreamy one. The girls love him so much, they’re apparently getting too distracted to vote for him. Come on, ladies. He’s in the 20th spot. Either show him some voting love or just send him home.
Jung Jae Young, our 200-song dancing machine. And finally,
Jeong Hyun Wook, hot off his win as part of the last battle’s 2pm B Team.
Their song will be LE SSERAFIM’s “Unforgiven.” During the eliminations, this team lost one member (Choi Han Gyul) and then they still had too many members, so lowest-ranked Midori was forced to join a different team. We see other teams get reshuffled, but some of them have a choice. My pick Miraku chooses to join a different team.
Others aren’t so lucky. Jia Hao was initially Leader of his team, but Jung Hyun Joon won an expression contest, so he gets to be Leader now. K-pop fans know that’s not how the Leader position is supposed to be determined, but okay, fine. Let’s just move this flashback along.
We get the usual formula. Team A has trouble in rehearsal. They do poorly at the interim rehearsal in front of the judges. It’s almost like choosing a team Leader by his ability to make facial expressions is a bad idea. They have a team meeting about what the song means to them and decide to work harder. Flashback over. Showtime.

I’ll give them this: the choreo is more interesting than Team B’s. I’m fascinated by how perfect the writhing, seductive, and sometimes purposefully off-balance choreo fits the song. Team A nails it perfectly. It’s great in a different way from Team B’s performance. My preference for Team B is just because I like that aggressive, beast-idol style of dancing better. And I still think it will be perfectly understandable if Team A wins.
Backstage, the judges nickname Shin Won Chun “Shin Triceps.” He was mesmerizing up there, and so was Bing Fan. This vote could go either way. The audience casts their votes. I think this decision will be a close one.
Both teams take the stage to find out the winning team. And Team B wins! I’m excited for them. Still, this is two consecutive losses for Team A Leader Jung Hyun Joon, and he’s taking it hard. (Again, he wasn’t originally supposed to be this team’s Leader.) It’s also Jia Hao’s second consecutive loss.
Xiumin speaks encouragingly to Team A, telling them they gave a great performance. He congratulates Team B and then sends everyone back to the green room to see the individual scores. The teams meet up backstage on the way to the green room and hug it out.

We get the individual scores:

Wow. That was a LOT packed into one episode. Two of my picks did well, and next time, it will be Miraku’s and Kim Hak Sung’s turns. We’ll also need to think of what to do if both Kim Seung Ho’s make it into the final group. If that happens, we may need a winner-take-all round of Rock Paper Scissors, onstage, with pyrotechnics.
See you next episode!
