music in hell its so interesting to think about because like ok. of the three overlords we're told mainly control The Entertainment Industry, music isn't one of their specialities' in the slightest even thought its one of the most common (and lucrative) forms of entertainment. the irl, narrative reason for that is probably that anything too specifically about audio would maybe veer into alastor territory and muddy his contrast with vox, but ofc alastor isnt the Music Demon, his feud with vox is way more about old vs new mediums and only incidentally what is shared through those mediums. nonetheless the lack of music being of note to either party does seem to leave kind of a gap in the market, in universe, specially since we know that alastor isnt mass-producing new music thatd keep up with audience demands the same way the vees are with tv shows, porn, fashion and social media content.

as for how the general market might work tho, we know ofc that there is hellborn's hellmade music because of helluva boss and we can guess theres probably some sinners that create music after they die. but also because you cant take anything with you to hell (in this case specifically anything thatd have a recording on it) it must be really common for sinners to rerecord or at least sell what they remember of new music from earth (kind of like that movie Yesterday about the guy who gets rich bc everyone forgets the beatles ever existed and he rerecords all their songs as his own) so that people who want to listen to songs they liked when they were alive, still can. in this case itd probably also be a thing for artists that die and go to hell to also rerecord all their songs and sell them for Way More than any other sinner could since its by the og artist BUT ALSO thered be a lot of scams of people claiming to be famous artists bc their hellform are so inhuman you literally could not tell.

Thinking of what it must be like to be loved by a ship like the Perihelion. I think it must be a little like being loved by a god. A minor god and one with true personality, a god from a pantheon, with limited power and no claims to be all-knowing, all-powerful, all-loving, no claims of being the One True God. And yet, a god. Its mind so powerful it can be present with you and yet in a hundred other places simultaneously, it holds you safe inside of it - or not (as Mother Nature holds us safe on Earth - or not). It can rain destruction when angered or help you if it wishes. Inside of its realm (itself), within its dominion, it sees all, controls all (not other people, but the very ground you walk on, the air you breathe). Outside of it, it can help you if it sees what is happening, but is not in control of everything. If you are within its reach, it is there, present with you always, a voice in your head, a friend (because this god spaceship loves you).

Country Music is what happens when Folk Music ferments. It has existed in seven distinct generations:

1920-1930, in which people with fiddles sang about farm animals

1930-1950, where cowboys were also invited

1950-1970, in which Nashville took over

1970-1990, in which Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton ruled the Earth

1990-2000, when Trucks and Drinking were valued above all

2000-2020, when you got shot if you didn't mention 9/11

2020-Present, a time of people mostly just wishing Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton still ruled the Earth.

Country Music may also at times involve a "Banjo."

now i really see how she saw herself in mizi. mizi also had that blind desperation to save others, like how she dove into trying to save till without thought, despite being told it was useless.

hyuna was the same way at first. she tried to go back to anakt with one leg with the notion to save them. it was impossible. she lost her childish desperation, and seeing mizi struggle with the same energy she had previously, motivated hyuna to save her. their stories of being recruited to the rebellion are similar too.

hyuna wasn’t seen as much at first, she was seen as some childish idiot. mizi wasn’t much at first either. mizi was shattered by the recent events of sua’s death, letting her childish emotions take over. they both wanted justice, or rather vengeance, so they acted irrationally. hyuna was saved because of what the previous leader saw in her, and hyuna saved mizi for the same reason. she saw something in her.

reality hit hyuna hard, she doesn’t childishly jump into saving people because she believes it’s impossible to save everyone (hence trying to stop mizi from saving till) but mizi still has that part of her. ooogh hyuna you make me so sad. hyuna became more mature at the expense of her optimism.

i also really like how this comic went a little deeper into her drinking problem. drinking and other substances are obviously how she copes, and i think this shows her slight childishness peeking through.

hyuna doesn’t have a mature facade, she simply has two parts of her—the child and the one who left the child behind. this is what MAKES her matured and mentally strong.
