and revali bristles and is like why should I?? but deep down he feels super uncomfortable and guilty for this whole thing, he's like have I gotten so lost in this rivalry that this is just who I am? he doesn't voice all that but he does leave to go find link, who is predictably in their practice studio. but when he gets there, he can hear crying through the door. and when revali listens closer, he hears, "I don't know, aryll, sometimes I just feel like I don't belong here. I don't know if-" a pause, a muffled sob. "I don't know if I want to do this anymore." silence, then: "i just want to do something right for once. it's never good enough."

revali backs away from the door; he's heard enough. he goes back to the dorm and straight to his room without talking to the other members. he shouldn't have been eavesdropping. and besides, if link wants to quit the group, that's not his problem, right? at least revali will finally get the spotlight.

but the thought of link being gone, it leaves a cold feeling in his gut.

umm this got dark fast and I don't like the direction I went in.. maybe their rivalry can be more lighthearted 😊 but yes anyways revali gets this wake up call and is like ohh maybe I shouldn't be an ass! and after seeing link in a new light he gains a new respect for him. so the next day after letting link calm down and after revali gathers his thoughts, he goes to talk to link and they're able to work out their differences! just kidding 😇 it's not that easy. but their dynamic does shift, and it becomes less toxic and the bickering and friendly challenging becomes more reciprocal rather than being one-sided bullying

atp it's been a little over a year since their debut, and their fans have CLEARLy noticed the positive difference in their dynamic. so ofc the crazy delulus start making dating rumors abt them! 😦 because there's no way they could have started being so nice to each other for no reason, something definitely must have happened! the rest of the fandom is clowning the shippers like ur actually so dumb for shipping them

in turn, revali — who knows how vulnerable link really is to harsh criticism — takes extra care to compliment link when he thinks he does well, and to give guidance in a more constructive way. if they have a particularly good performance, he'll tell link that, and if he notices link having trouble with a certain move or part of the song, he'll talk to him privately abt it and help link improve!

The only reason a lot of ppl are shocked about jks antics is bc a lot of y’all used to be jikookers and where wearing rose colored classes when it came to him bc he has always been very selfish, he even admitted it himself. I even remember festa last yr him saying that they should have started solo era long time ago, so ppl where just ignoring the red flags bc they liked jms relationship/friendship/dynamic with jk. You know what I just reblogged a post about someone talking about jungkook's true nature and to me it makes so much sense.

When someone has been exposed to fame from such a young age oftentimes such people come out as arrogant and self centred because they've been put on a pedestal since such a young age that they start to think that they're entitled to everything.

Jungkook was put on a pedestal by the company since day one. He was always...... Always the favourite. Whereas jimin was threatened to be kicked out so many times and they refused to even give him vocal lessons.

Anyways I always wondered how come jk is not arrogant and entitled how he is so humble after being exposed to fame from a young age.

But now...... Now I think his true nature is showing.

I hope you didn't forget about me because I didn't forget about yoo hoo~ Since our last talk, I have to admit…if God, gods, or some all mighty force exist, they're giving me a run for my mental and physical health this year, but I am alive and unharmed just…life is LIFING right now But! I will be going back to college this year and I am going to study linguistics. I find it funny when people ask what I'm studying and they reply with an underwhelmed response. No worries though, it just gives me the drive to go toward it even more. I have been getting out of the house often and trying to take care of myself, but I will say its hard to keep consistent with constant setbacks. How's things going on your end?

I totally understand not being able to turn a hobby into a career. I admire those who do, but also respect those who keep it as a hobby because doing it for work will definitely dampen motivation in my opinion. I get you there though loool I hate being told what to do as well even for regular work. I definitely don't think I'm the only one who feels this way, but... idk maybe im just stubborn and refuse to simply move on.

but... does anyone else just not feel the same about kpop. like as a whole concept?

after the whole ta*il thing and the groupchat thing, seeing the scale of the pure misogyny in korean society, I simply cannot see any idol the same way. and I don't even think it's an extreme reaction. we literally had the bear vs man debate like 2 months ago. it may not be all men, but its almost ALWAYS men so u have to suspect them ALL until proven otherwise.

and the worst part is, the whole charm of kpop and idols was that they were meant to feel more real and be interactive with fans (parasocial relationship). they were meant to give us the illusion that we know them as real people and not fictional 2d characters. but turns out being real ppl also comes with being really shitty ppl sometimes too.

what's frustrating is that kpop was a very... low effort hobby (especially if u were like me, a casual content-consumer and not the type of stan that spends money on kpop or cares about streams and shit). the content is pretty consistent and all you really need is a semi stable internet connection. whereas tv shows and books take years to renew for a new season/new book. sports have seasons. etc. u get the point (hopefully). and i'd say the fandom experience in kpop is also better than like movies/books/tv shows bc 1) after a certain point all the content is fanmade and 2) there are way too many debates when the content is totally fictional.

so, yeah I'm mad that I physically and mentally cannot enjoy kpop anymore. I literally look at any of my ex-faves and I feel absolutely nothing. if anything i feel empty and sad. in the sense that I don't miss THEM; I miss the way they used to make me feel. I miss the joy. the serotonin I used to get just from seeing them smile or some shit. and it's gone.

HENCE, I definitely do think that I've changed and my perception of korean media and korean celebrities has changed so me feeling very different about Wonho since his release may not be entirely on him.

However...

I just cannot get over how different he looks. I was literally looking at his older photos ( and i don't mean like OLD OLD. like... 2022 old.) next to his new ones and my brain simply cannot comprehend that its the same person. one of them is the wonho I fell in love with, and the one is a guy that vaguely resembles wonho in a very pale and plasticy way.

I was talking to my friend about this last night and the conclusion we came to for the reason he looks so unsettling to us is that he looks... too young. Like we've all seen the joking posts abt how he's gotten younger but like... it's not a joke. he literally looks 17 in a very artificial way. god. so like. i feel like its a lil obvious to go 'oh i love their music' but literally i love how strong all of their songs seem to be. damdadi slaps so fuckin hard, especially to debut with? i feel like their choreography is always really on point and even if their line distribution isnt equal, it genuinely feels like they all do get to shine? i think typically its their dancers who get less lines (which makes sense to me) compared to vocalists + rappers, but it never really feels super unfair?

My favourite album is something I can answer, thankfully. I have a lot, though, so bare with me 😅🥹. My favourites are Going Seventeen, Teen Age, Heng:garae, Semi;Colon, Face The Sun, Sector 17, Seventeenth Heaven, Attaca, and FML. Again, I named almost every album lmaoo. But I recommend starting with Going Seventeen and making your way up. They have a lot of good music so you won't be disappointed even by their oldest albums! -> YES I did notice that even as I went further back the quality is still so good??? like heng:garae is 2020 so FOUR YEARS AGO now but not a single skippable track???

Thank you for noticing my love for Seventeen!! I mean, it's pretty obvious, but I love that Carats (new and old) can feel the love that I have for Seventeen because I seriously love them so much. My bias is Dino!! But I get biased wrecked every 2 mins, so I say I'm OT13 while being Dino biased, lmfaoo 😭😭. It's really hard to pick a bias in Seventeen, goddamit!! Though, Dino definitely has a special place in my heart 😭! He became my bias during Hot era, and he has remained my bias since! (Please tell me who's yours when you read this!)

My favourite song...hmmm, I'll have to say I don't have one 😭😭. Whenever I pick a favourite song, another song happens to catch my attention 😭. It's literally impossible for me to pick a favourite song. But if I talk about my favourite song rn, I'll say it's March from the Face The Sun album (if we're talking sub-unit songs, it will definitely be Last Night by JxW!) But that's gonna change pretty soon 😭.

My favourite era is again something I can't pick. Look, it's not my fault that they always outdo themselves, okay 😭😭? But my faves are Attaca era (Rock With You), FML era (Super and FML), 17 Is Right Here era (Maestro), An Ode era (Fear & Hit), Teen Age era (Clap), Semi;Colon era (Home;Run), Director's Cut era (Thanks), etc. I literally just named all their eras lmaoo 😭😭. But as you can see, I can't pick. But you can check out any song or album I just named.

My favourite album is something I can answer, thankfully. I have a lot, though, so bare with me 😅🥹. My favourites are Going Seventeen, Teen Age, Heng:garae, Semi;Colon, Face The Sun, Sector 17, Seventeenth Heaven, Attaca, and FML. Again, I named almost every album lmaoo. But I recommend starting with Going Seventeen and making your way up. They have a lot of good music so you won't be disappointed even by their oldest albums!

Iconic tracks you NEED to listen to would be Fear (a classic), Mansae (another classic and a banger), Highlight (I might be saying this because I'm a performance unit girlie but that song is genuinely amazing), Clap (that song is so iconic omg), Don't Wanna Cry (that song is a masterpiece), Home;Run (the song that drew my interest to Seventeen!), Hot (honestly, just check out the whole album because it's amazing. It was also my first album as a Carat), Thanks (another classic, that song is beautiful), and then you can go in order (either oldest to newest or vice versa!).

well now we’re in trouble bc i don’t think i have one like as we mentioned once i do think one of the things i enjoy most while getting into groups is seeing their dynamics but in wei it’s more like .... i adore all the members separately more ? nd then all of them as a group ? as opposed to specific non-full group friendships idk... nd it’s like it’s not that i don’t enjoy these it’s more that i just . haven’t paid as much attention to them i think? i think they work rlly well as a group and i enjoy how comfortable they are with each other, i think!! which like . sounds generic but like... they’re like really enjoyable to watch like i never rlly care all that much about full group vlives because i just. idk enjoy solo/unit vlives more but i enjoy wei full group vlives a lot!! i don’t go out of my way to avoid them when for most groups i do, even when i love the group like.... u know i love vity nd like everything about them but i def would lean towards Avoiding full vity lives,,

the plan was originally to go to some nearby islands but then we checked the prices and it was so expensive 💀 so my parents decided to just go on their own when i resume school again in sept lmao. but also i got quite a lot of uni prep to do so we also decided to do the family trip another time

the potteries are pre-made! we just did the painting portion it was so fun. i painted some frogs on mine they looked super cute after im so happy with it. my friends and i discussed that we should take classes to actually make pottery some day and i can make a cute little bowl or wtv is the most beginner item lol

i actually vaguely knew about them back in 2019 when around my pace came out and my friends tori and ayanna and i were like AYO THIS SLAPS??? and i added it to my spotify but i wasn’t into kpop as much at the time so i sorta forgot about them for a bit. then like. late 2020 early last year a gc i was in (which. lol) started getting into them and me like oh that’s cool! i distinctly remember them showing me chris and bambam on the survival show and them being like YOU KNOW BAMBAM EXISTS??? and me, who had liked got7 since 2015, like yeah! and me being like. ok but who is this he’s so cute 👀👀👀 and over time they showed me some content every once in a while and i was like oh they’re neat!!! the winter is coming eps and the goddamn. skz up all night videos are distinct to me. anyways it was around gods ddu du ddu du and their final kingdom performance i started to PROPERLY dig in and the day they performed wolfgang changed my fucking life. it was 6 am i hadn’t slept and i saw christopher chan bang flip in and then DO THAT WHOLE SHIRTLESS BIT and decided right then and there to buy their bubbles and stan then forever i never looked back DBWKEJWJEJNDN.

god. ok so im a libra (chris and i are two days apart actually, two years too it’s fun to me hehehee) and have never been able to pick just one bias bc im indecisive LMAO rn i consider it chris, minho, and felix and hyunjin. minho was not originally here. in fact i used to think he was so weird and didn’t care for his vibes but over time i truly did like warm up to him esp having his bubble. i find him so endearing and the way he just. cares is so subtle and sweet and his humor dhwgejwhjwj i didnt intend to love him like this. felix was an originally top boy tho but. as i always say. if u don’t like felix that’s a red flag like he’s nothing but kindness and warmth. hyunjin was also originally higher in my line!!! his talent is soooo incredible and idk he’s just so cute and silly and passionate and romantic. idk i think we would be besties!!!

oh christopher though. truly cannot explain the love i have for that boy it’s EMBARRASSING like. idk what it is but like that dude came into my life and nothing had been the same RHWJWSHASJSJ like he’s just so. he’s just SOME GUY RIGHT. but like. in the way you’ve KNOWN a guy like that who’s v sweet and well intentioned but awkward and silly. like a dude you were friends with or went to school with. idk that’s what i love about him like he talks about songs he loves or things he did back in the day and im like “wow we would’ve gotten along so well in school like we deadass would’ve been friends and i would’ve had a massive crush on him” RHWHEEHWJEJW like. he is just so kind and FUNNY and passionate and hardworking and just. the way he loves the Kids. ugh it just pulls at my heart and he’s so talented like the way he can literally do everything. the way he’s open with his struggles is so UGH and the way he gets flustered over everything is so cute to me and how he acts cute to everyone and just. idk i want him to succeed and always have good days and all of that. also he is so handsome oh my god like. AND cute like he does both i wish he believe that he was as good looking as he actually is. anyways i love him in a normal way a normal amount.
