I think maybe i do not like using alcohol markers 🤨 like i see the appeal and all and i like looking at art made with them. But i do not like the smell and the bleeding thru pages, and I’m not great with blending them anyway lol
#maybe if I knew how to use them better I’d like#but I feel like I get a similar affect with water based anyway#the blend is nice tho when it does work out#it’s mostly the smells and the bleeds I don’t like#also I just have way too much stuff#so if I downsized it wouldn’t the the worst#sometimes it’s fun tho. just not a favorite medium

pjo please!
male!
okay so i’m a very extroverted person, i’m an entp, aquarius and a daughter of hermes! i feel like i talk a lot but alas i’m just a yapper. i’m a very goofy person and i tend to be really clumsy too. i smile a lot, and i make jokes all the time. i have a darker sense of humor but i tend to be a little bit emotional. i have adhd and anxiety and i’m pretty smart, i’m either really tired or really hyper there’s really no in between. i like to randomly dance or randomly sing. my favorite season is autumn and i love road trips and movies. i wanna work on screenplays/direct movies when i’m older! i have medium length faded red hair, blue/green eyes and freckles on my whole face but i have a lot more under my right eye. i’m 5’3” and have an upside down smile (legitimately) and ummmm yeah! 😁
physical touch is my number one love language and then quality time, and words of affirmation are my second and third!
i love skateboarding, listening to music (i listen to like everything except stuff i don’t like 😭😭) i also love flowers and taking walks/nature, i hate the cold tho bc i feel like i’m cold all the time, i love road trips like i said earlier but my favorite hobby/intrest is film. film is my life! i watch so many movies and would love to write one someday, but for now i’m only doing reverse screenplays for practice hehe.
ironically not the cinema because i feel like you can’t talk and get to know each other. i think a walk in the park with coffee or ice cream would be my ideal first date. you can get to know each other and there’s really no effort or money needed!
my TYPE is blondies with blue eyes but i doesn’t really matter to me, they have to be taller than me tho. they have to be funny, and sweet, and takes initiative to do cute things and like be there for me and call me cute names and stuff yk like act like a bf.
thank you!!!! <3
your matchup is . . . jason grace!!
if you and jason had a trope it would definitely be sunshine x grumpy, except jason’s not even grumpy, he’s just on the quieter side lol!
he’s always there to listen to your rants about anything and everything, his focus as sharp as if he were on the battlefield. it could be the stupidest conversation ever, but jason’s still nodding along, as if the soggy pancakes at breakfast were the most important thing in the world.
jason’s favorite parts about you are your smile and your freckles!
there’s nothing he wouldn’t do to see that favorite smile of his. the way your eyes light up so beautifully makes him think that you’re somehow related to the sun. because of this, jason subconsciously compares you two to the sun and the moon. whenever he spots little trinkets of the two, he buys it no matter the price or the line in which he has to wait in. couples with matching sun and moon keychains stay together!
sometimes at night when you two are cuddled up, jason decides he absolutely must kiss every single freckle on your face. his warm hands hold the sides of your face as he peppers millions of kisses across your face. sure, it tickles, but who are you to say no to your boyfriend’s kisses? especially when he tells you that he’ll stop loving you when he’s done counting and kissing all of your freckles (jason’s lost count).
jason who supports your hobbies with every fiber of his being! if you’re one to be open about your ideas/the screenplays you write, then just know that he’s listening to and reading every single one of them. he loves how creative you are, and him being able to see what your mind can create is one of the many blessings you’ve given him.
if you were to ask for any feedback (he rarely finds that you even need critique), jason’s very honest about it and he words it in a respectful way.
random dancing and singing breaks with jason!!
he might not be the best at either, but he’ll do it because you’re having fun.
beach dates!!!!
especially when it’s summer and the sun’s at its hottest, what’s better than taking a trip down to the beach with his favorite person? this may or may not be your favorite summer activity because when jason asks you to put sunscreen on his back, and you can feel his toned muscles as you rub in the product…wow (he also may or not be flexing them purposefully)
jason who’s never surprised when his closet is completely CLEARED of any and all of his jackets, hoodies, sweaters, etc.
he never minds though because he loves loves lovesss seeing you in his clothes!
anyways…yeah you two are endgame!
your second contender was . . . percy jackson!
. . .
author's note: yaaaay first matchup woop woop! i hope you like it <3 thank you for your support!!
#emmy's 800 event!#i SWEAR i didn't choose jason just cuz you said your type is blue eyed blondies#it just lined up so perfectly with him...#jason grace x reader#heroes of olympus matchup

BOLI I'M HERE FOR YOU BOSS 7 for Sifo, 15, and 23 please :D
MY MOST TRUSTED SOLDIER
7: is there piece of clothing I think Sifo is very fond of
Uhhh, honestly, I haven't really thought about that at all. The low handing fruit would be to say some sort of shirt he stole from Dooku, but that's too easy.
both for me and for Sy.
So imma lean out on a branch here and say he actually has a pair of Jocasta's archivist tabards. She does NOT know he has them and he DEFINITELY wants to keep it that way. there's no way of telling what her revenge would be if she ever found out, but that's what makes having them all the more fun and interesting.
It's about the thrill of the unknown.
15: have you noticed your style change over time
HA
SURE
i mean, especially my drawing style changes with the stand of the sun, the constellation of the planets and with the way the neighbor's cat looks at me.
i think consistent style change is most evident in how I draw manga, actually. Something you lot here on tumblr might actually have not seen ever, now that i think about it. lol. there my style actually is rather consistent throughout mediums by now, something i cannot say about my style when i draw outside of that setting :P
But also with writing I think there was some progress. at least I like to call it progress (the main thing that comes to mind is that i've started using less brackets and more indents, but whether or not thats a good thing is up in the air lol)
23: has my favorite character/ship changed over time
changes with the moon, the sun, the way the wind blows.... most of the time I don't actually have a fixed favorite (shocking, I know)
like,I will say that Sifo and Rael are blorbos supreme, but that doesn't necessarily make them my favorite characters.
my favorite is whatever character works nicest for whatever shenanigans i am planning for my current project. I think that has always been like that.
same with ships, i actually need to change things up once in a while bc too much of the same thing grows boring to me and then I lose interest. (which is why my most recent fad is to just expand existing ships i am fond of into continuously growing poly circles XD It is turning into a bit of a problem) (yes, this is mud-fic relevant TT)
I think another thing worth mentioning here tho is that in regards to ships the most notable change is that I ship things at all. Initially when I started out I was very much a Gen baby and wanted more stories that didn't hinge on some romance for plot-furthering. Which is why my older stories also are all Gen.
I still think that a good story doesn't rely on romance, but I've since come to appreciate the character studies that come with romantic/sexual relationships and how they influence people. Also sometimes I just look at two (or more) characters and thin "ho, ho, wouldn't it be HORRIBLE if they fucked?"
#thanks for the ask!!!!#i can always count on you in my inbox when i am bored that is wonderful!#random boli thoughts#me writing#answering asks#i love how most of my answers are 'eh. depends' style#imagine having clear-cut favorites

6. Favorite headcanon?
I’ve almost called Boromir a faggot multiple times on instinct, so that. also transgender Faramir (what direction? you decide. they contain multitudes < I personally adore a he/they/te transmasc. I think te and Aragorn should both be allowed to use Sindarin pronouns. get funky with it)
7. Least favorite headcanon?
HRM. there are SOME utterly rancid takes from my SAW fandom days that I still think abt. evil. I shan’t speak of those times in public.
12. Craziest thing you've ever done as part of a fandom?

A Homosexual and A Kinnie and they were NOT happy abt the fact I was like “yea all the lost boys are fucking.” I didn’t even know what to say abt that really. take it up w famously gay director Joel Schumacher if you don’t like me. A NOTORIOUS FAGGOT. going “yea I think these characters in a film directed by a gay man are gay”

→ RESHADE: CHRYSANTHEMUMS
Hi all! ♥
With lots of love, I present you my Pastel World for Star Stable! Named after one of my favorite flowers :)
I couldn't decide if I wanted to have it more cold in hue, or warmer - And I didn't know you guys' preference, either! So I added an extra option for anyone that wants this preset! The difference is subtle, but definitely noticable in direct comparison in-game!!
Simply press "2" on your keyboard's number row and you can switch between a colder or a warmer version. Visual reference below ♥
♦ Reshade Taglist: @barricade-moonriser @foggy-milk @mysterysoulrider
IN-GAME SCREENSHOTS:
Like all my presets, it comes in 3 versions: FULL, MEDIUM & LITE ! Visual reference of each version can be found further below ♥
Full - These versions will be the most beefy and pretty much only be meant for screenshots, but can be playable if tweaked or if your PC is strong enough. 99% chance of framedrops tho…
Medium - These versions will be playable for most people but still have nearly all of the more complex effects. Just tweaked to be playable!
Lite - These versions should be playable for nearly everyone and still carry the same mood, colors and lighting, just without any of the super complex shaders!
( PS - If anyone has trouble with the Lite version, please don't hesitate to reach out to me and let me know how badly it causes you lag, I will try to make you a personalized version ♥ )
FULL: Color Edits, Fog, Sharpening, Anti Aliasing, Depth Of Field, Shading, Bloom, Clarity,
MEDIUM: Color Edits, less Fog, Anti Aliasing, less Shading, subtle Depth of Field, Bloom, Clarity
LITE: Color Edits, minimal Fog, Clarity,
♥ [PRESET DOWNLOAD] ♥
♥ FULL / MEDIUM / LITE ♥
As usual, light flash warning due to how reshade functions! A few effects (Fog, MXAO etc.) will sometimes turn off when it detects a network spike! This is to avoid cheating while using reshade online. This is most often not harsh, but it can be jarring depending on your settings and the area you are in!! Please just be cautious if you are sensitive!
After the file has been downloaded, make sure to move it into the folder that holds the your SSO reshade installation, then you should be able to select it from the dropdown list in your Reshade menu in the game! Let me know if there are any issues with the download or the preset itself! :)
Have fun!! ♥

#mARTch challenge day 2 - inspirations
Im writing since the things off this list that Id want to draw are a circle diagram with "favorite thing to draw"
Animals and plants are probably the biggest source of inspiration. Especially lesser known animals and weird plants. I like looking into flower symbolisim and stuff too, the idea of being able to communicate complicated ideas with a coded visual language is appealing to me. Tho probably not a lot of people know flower symbolisim of hand (i dont either) its just a way to guide myself in picking which flower... i feel similarly about gemstones and minerals. I like drawing them and i love looking at them, but i think its harder for me to capture the "essence of beauty" in a stone than a plant or animal. I think birds and fish are the most fun for me to draw and I love learning about them. They all have really different life cycles and "personalities". They can also be very colorful and I'm drawn to that. Same with insects, they are funny little guys, and they have great features to incorperate into other creatures.
Similar to animals I love mythological creatures. They are probably on of the most consistent and lasting sources of inspiration for both my art and writing. Its a pretty much never ending topic, its why i went with it as the theme for my long term comic project Tidal Lines. I also just love learning about and drawing weird little guys. Tsuchinoko are an eternal favorite. Dragons also, since they can be so many different ways. The dragons in breath of fire 4 are some of my favorite and a very early (like age 7) source of inspiration to draw and think about dragons.
Those are like the main inspiration for subjects i like to draw... in terms of actual drawing style its a bit more difficult to talk about since I tend to just draw "however it wants to be drawn" in the way that I can manage. In a sense the tactile elements of the medium are the inspiration. I love the way watercolors control, and love watching it and ink on the page. I dont do a lot of "style studies" and sometimes I think i really should.... Id like to be influenced by the art of yoshitoshi abe, range murata, clamp, miyazaki (especially the nausicaa comic and his pencil+water color style). I also would like to be able to draw in a more simple but appealing way, the style of digimon adventure is one I like a lot for that quality. I think once i list these out I can see the influences in my "style" but im not sure if one would think of it nessecarily... im always interested to hear what people think my art looks like and compaires to, since i feel like i can't really tell.
Oh, the way I draw noses is consiously chosen because of Secret Saturdays and early Soul Eater. Its changed a bit, because I wanted ways to get more variation, but its something in the way I draw faces that can be directly traced back to those styles.
I am also inspired just gennerally by the marriage of visual art and storytelling. I like being able to include character and worldbuilding details visually. In a sense it feels more naturalistic to present these sorts of details visually, and when I see nice examples of it in other works its really exciting. There is a lot of this in miyazaki's films.
I am also inspired by people who can get "messy" or scraggly lines to look good and give a vibe. Randal's friends is a comic that i think of, and I want to draw with more looseness and weirdness.
I am very much inspired by my friends who draw. Drawing together and working on our art and talking about it and showing each other is one of the main things that keeps me encouraged to keep drawing.
TLDR i am inspired by everything in the world, all beaings and stories and my friends :>

multiples of 5 (+ 14 for some silly fun) for minah & vesper!
ty!!! // oc ask prompts
5. How affectionate are they? What are their top love languages?
MINAH — she's like... medium affectionate? she doesn't avoid affection but she also doesn't seek it out. she's mostly a physical touch + acts of service gal, but she doesn't go in for a lot of physical touch these days. you want to get on her good side, gifts are also very big for her (receiving more than giving, unless you count the acts of service as the gift-giving) VESPER — incredibly affectionate but it takes her a long time to work up to displaying it openly. quality time and acts of service are her big ones, though she also very much enjoys physical touch with the right like, four people.
10. Favorite place? Do they go there often?
MINAH — these days she really doesn't have one; she travels too much for it. as a kid she had a hideaway (maybe outside of town? maybe just out of the house?) where she could sit under a big tree and hang out, sometimes alone and sometimes with friends. obviously she doesn't go there anymore. VESPER — there are a couple places she's visited in her travels where she wouldn't mind lingering—the emerald graves, some parts of crestwood, unexpectedly beautiful parts of the world hidden away from the violence and the war. in skyhold, she tends to retreat to the ramparts when she needs a little space. it's nice to look at the sky and remember to breathe; she doesn't feel quite so hemmed in when she's up high
14. Choose an AU you think would be interesting for them to be a part of. Who would they be?
MINAH — this is tricky to get into without spoilers. I think in a better world she'd be a lot of fun to drop in a dance au. in a worse world, hunger games 100%. all that pageantry, all that death :) VESPER — I love love love an apostate au vesper. I'd drop her in kirkwall post-DA2 Act 3, just smack in the middle of that nightmare. I think it would be fun. I also think she should befriend hawke and co.
15. Are they the type to adopt strays (animals or people?) What or who have they “adopted” over the years?
MINAH — minah is the kind of person who would swear up down and sideways she doesn't want a pet and she's not adopting anyone and she can't be bothered to look after anything longterm and then would end up with a stray anyway and get really protective about them. rhydian better watch out VESPER — she's definitely adopted a couple apprentices in her time—she remembers being young and scared and lonely and she's got a big heart and a desire to help. inquisition kinda limits her bandwidth, but she's still taking people under her wing—cole's the most obvious example, but there are definitely others out there who might be surprised to find enchanter trevelyan looking out for them (ellana I'm looking at u)
20. How many friends do they have?
MINAH — really depends on how you define friend to be honest. on the one hand, so many! alternately, none. she's definitely friendly with a wide spread of folk, and she'll call people friend even when they maybe aren't really. this isn't really an answer but it's the one she'd give so #onbrand VESPER — well she's got the inner circle who are obviously ride or die for her. among them she's got a few she's besties with (bull, dorian, solas, varric) and a few who are more like treasured coworkers. then there are a few people outside the circle she's close to (krem, scout harding, a couple misc NPCs). and there were a couple friends she had in the Circle too (tho I guess she might not know if they're alive or not. yikes). low double digits I guess? 20ish?
25. What events changed them as a child?
MINAH — her dad's death VESPER — being sent to the circle

It's Talk Shop Tuesday!
What are your favorite mediums/techniques to use when creating your art?
Do you have a favorite piece of yours that you'd like to reblog/share that I might not be familiar with?
Hi bit 👋, would you believe me if I told you that in the 13 years that I have been here, this is the first time I've received this kind of ask? Let's see: What are your favorite mediums/techniques to use when creating your art? I don't have a "favorite technique" or a "favorite medium", since my resources are really limited I just have access to photoshop and illustrator (or the free versions when i can't afford them), so everything I do - gifs, edits, manips, fan art, fanfic covers - comes from one of those programs, or both in case of my hazbin hotel fanart, basically I work with what I have. I would really like a graphic tablet tho, so that everything flows better and I don't end up with pain and cramps in my hand at the end of the day. About the "techniques", well I have no technique (zero, zilch, zip, nada) but I can tell you a little about my fic covers process: first I design a basic template, I need to decide the number and the size of the spaces. Next I choose a color palette and fonts. Then I search for images that can be useful, if its an AU I'll need a manip so I look for an image for the "body" and then the "character's face", it needs to fit in size, position and sometimes they even need certain hairstyle (so thats a pain in the ass lol), in some cases I have to find a third image for the background. The next and almost final step is to give everything a uniform tone based on the color palette I chose. Obviously there are more steps like when the manip is an object (a sketch made by Kurt or a magazine) I need to find a mock up or make one, but roughly speaking, that is the process 😅.
The Dalton Circle by klainedreams34 and grlnxtdr30
treading water by kurtsascot
Do you have a favorite piece of yours that you'd like to reblog/share that I might not be familiar with? I don’t have a particular “favorite piece” , I am proud of every single cover art I've made, especially the ones that require an extra manip that will end almost lost in the final design 🤣.
Until The Sun Falls From The Sky by caramelcoffeeaddict
But everything I made about the "Westerville Abbey" AU has a special place in my heart.
Westerville Abbey by hkvoyage
Well that and my two Lucifer fanarts because I hadn't drawn in years and those didn't turn out awful lol.
Thanks for the ask dear, it was fun and entertaining ♡, also this inspired me to make fic covers and manips again, reminded me how much I like to make them even though the process (sometimes) is a nightmare.

Still wanting asks about taking t for an androgynous look? :3 if not just ignore me lol :3
I have been off and on T for a little over a year, and I've had a great experience! I wanted T for a long time but wasn't sure about it. But I got on it for different medical reasons and WOO I love it so much! I do injections, a 0.25ml dose (considered a smaller dose, like a starting dose or half dose).
I've got a couple dozen adorable chin hairs and a pale little fwuffy mustache thing going on (irrelevant to public presentation bc I always wear a mask) and my legs and thighs and butt cheeks have gotten adorably fluffier! My nipples have WAY better sensations during sex? Previously I didn't really even like them touched but now it's great. Unsure if they're more sensitive or less sensitive or just different, so I have no idea how it might change for other people. Oh!! AND t has made my whole boobs kinda...smaller??? Different density? They're different for sure. I can look semi-flat with a hoodie, and it's almost flatter looking without a bra underneath. A tight shirt under a jacket looks very androgynous, tho you can still see the shape of boobies because mine are medium/large sized. But I get gendered as a man and a woman looking like that so :3 idk what cis ppl see lol
The tdick is my favorite part!!! I literally can't even remember what it looked like before, my brain just kinda yeeted that information. I'm so in love with the tdick. Its been growing slowly but steadily this whole time. The first couple weeks had a LOT of growth, and then it's just been sliiiiiiightly changing a little more ever since. First it was mostly a change in sensitivity, but recently it's changed how pressure feels, and specifically feels better being stroked. It's definitely a little less sensitive, but in a good way? Pre-T, it was easy to feel like "okay that's too much sensory, it's unpleasant now," but I dont experience overwhelming sensations much (and when i do, its always specifically on the head, so i can just adjust how the hood/foreskin is positioned to fix it! It's neat!) so it's a welcome change for me! Its been fun to notice it change more and more! And of course it's gotten bigger. I think it's probably a great size to use for oral penetration but I haven't gotten to test that out lol. It seems like it tends to have a little growth spurt when I happen to stop and then restart t (usually bc Pharmacy Issues)? Unsure if that's just my imagination.
But yeah! The changes have been very slow but steady, and I've had lots of time to ponder how I feel about all of it and make sure I'm enjoying all the changes. And I do enjoy them all! I wasn't sure about some of them; but my feelings are very warm and giddy whenever I notice a new change.
I do worry about like, presenting in public. I get gendered as a man and a woman pretty regularly. Has it caused any issues? Well, maybe, but not much more than pre-T. My voice is still in a "gets seen as a woman" range but it has the *loveliest* velvety tone when I talk in a lower voice. I've gotten a surprising number of compliments on it! But as for visual presentation, I am very much in an Androgynous Range. I can do the transmasc-hoodie-and-shorts, pitch my voice lower, and pass as a guy (or sometimes strangers mistake me for a teenage boy which can be frustrating). But I can also pass a woman if I want, especially with a more feminine shirt or just by shifting my voice into the High Pitched Customer Service Range lol (though I also get mistaken for a teenage girl. Idk. I just have a younger looking face I guess) My curves have gotten smaller (hips, boobs, etc) which I THOUGHT I'd be sad about--but rather than feeling like I "lost" an attractive part of myself, i just feel like i swapped it for a different, equally attractive form 🥰
I hope this provides some of the data you were looking for, and thanks for the opportunity to ramble about my specific experience on HRT! I check this blog every so often (cos it's super cute) so if you wanted to ask any questions, id probably eventually see it!
Anyways have a good day!
-a nonbiney soft butch creature anon 💜🌸
Thank you thank you!! This is all really helpful. I don't want to pass as a man so I'm definitely going to take it slow but I'm really interested in seeing what T does to my body. Very curious to see how and where I bulk up muscle-wise because I'd LOVE some biceps and also I already have strong legs so it would be cute if they get even bigger. I won't hold my breath for a disguisable chest though lmao (I'm an F cup 😔).
#thank you 💖💖💖#i just got new insurance for the new year so im gonna try getting that t gel prescription filled again#a gel or a cream would definitely be my preferred method to take it#anonymous#reply#t diary

Alexa's Favorite Movies of 2023
The movies that I watched for the first time in 2023 that I enjoyed the most or that really stuck in my mind for some reason or another. They are presented in no particular order.
I also ranked all the 2023 new releases I watched this year.
If you would like to see a similar list about the video games I played in 2023, you can see it here on Tumblr or over on Backloggd.
If you would like to see a similar list about the books I read in 2023, you can see it here on Tumblr.
How to Blow Up A Pipeline (2022, dir. Daniel Goldhaber)
The scene in the bar has a Christmas tree in the background, therefore I am using this as my answer when someone asks about my favorite Christmas movie and I want to be an asshole about it.
The Way Things Go (2023, dir. Amalia Farrow)
For me, 2023 was a year where I lost a lot of friends. No drama, no arguments, no falling-outs. Sometimes people just drift away. Maybe I didn't do enough to maintain that friendship or maybe they didn't or maybe both of us didn't. But sometimes it happens. And I think it happened to me a lot this year. It's something that has happened to me a lot in life - this kind of drifting away from people or groups. But this year it seemed to happen a lot more and has left me frequently feeling much more alone than it has ever before. But also I found someone special this year and that's been amazing. And this two-and-a-half minute long shortfilm encapsulates that feeling better than my little blurb here did and better than any other piece of media I've ever seen.
The Way Things Go is available to watch on YouTube for free.
Tahara (2020, dir. Olivia Peace)
There are lots of movies featuring shitty teenagers but this feels like it really nails a lot of ways in which teenagers were shitty back when I was a shitty teenager. Some of the best written shitty teens I've ever seen, in movies or any other medium. Top tier shitheads all over the place here.
Carol (2015, dir. Todd Haynes)
New favorite Christmas movie, by a country mile.
I didn't really know anything about this movie besides Christmas Lesbians so the whole "fighting for custody of her child" plotline really caught me off guard. It's so damn good tho. The whole thing. This may end up being a yearly holiday rewatch.
Cassandro (2023, dir. Roger Ross Williams)
Wrestling is something that I've never been directly into but I love to hear about. Listening to people who love wrestling talk about it and describe the storylines and stories is so much fun. Honestly I think it may be the best way to consume wrestling, especially for someone who can be squeamish about violence and injuries (aka me). So, I really love wrestling movies! And I just think it was nice to see one that didn't end with "and he got addicted to painkillers and died at the age of 42" or something! A wrestling story without a tragic end, whodathunkit.
May December (2023, dir. Todd Haynes)
My immediate reaction after watching this was "what the fuck did I just watch" which is why I didn't give it a rating or leave a review at all. It left me so befuddled that I didn't know what to think of it and needed time to process it. And over time as I think about it and contemplate my own feelings and see other peoples reactions and discussions to it, I've come to like it quite a bit.
Apayauq (2023, dir. Zeppelin Zeerip)
Apayauq is so cool!! She finished last in the Iditarod which earned her the Red Lantern Award and that fuckin' rules!! Lovely lil short doc about her and her life and her journey with gender and also her journey dogs across a whole lot of snow.
Apayauq is available to watch on YouTube for free.
NAGA (2023, dir. Meshal Aljaser)
There is some recency bias at play here but also I have thought about NAGA every day since I watched it almost two weeks ago. That scene when Sarah is alone at the car in the middle of the desert with only the headlights to illuminate the empty fucking void of a world she find herself in and then suddenly something starts to approach her… that scene specifically has been bouncing around in my head near-constantly. Just some incredible imagery and visual work going on there.
Dark Angel: The Ascent (1994, dir. Linda Hassani)
This is a movie that not only exceeded my expectations but kind of completely blew them out of the water?? I was expecting some horror-adjacent schlock about a demon from hell coming to Earth to kill the shit out of 'sinners' or whatever and on one hand, yes, that is true, that is what this movie is. But it's also just genuinely good?? It fuckin rules that right off the bat it is showing people being tortured in hell and then a voice clarifies that these aren't just any ol' sinners, no, these are landlords and bankers who exploited the working class. Veronica is a trans icon and this is the hill I will die on.
Wifelike (2022, dir. James Bird)
this movie is garbage but it has the funniest name of maybe any movie i've ever seen or heard of. fucking WIFELIKE. WIFE. LIKE. god damn lmao
The Doom Generation (1995, dir. Gregg Araki)
I first watch The Doom Generation as a deeply depressed teenager and then occasionally watched it every few years throughout my deeply depressing 20s and now I am keeping that up by watching it again in my deeply depressed 30s. It's a good movie! It's pretty hard to recommend, mostly because of the ending! I've looked into more of Gregg Araki's work and have really enjoyed what I've seen so far so I think he may end up being one of my favorite directors ever and it all kinda started with seeing a movie about angry depressed teenagers who are lost in life when I was an angry depressed teenager who was lost in life.
Hellraiser (2022, dir. David Bruckner)
Earlier this year, I went through all eleven Hellraiser movies. It was a trial and journey that I suggest absolutely no one else go on. So maybe it's just because there's, like, six movies in a row that are trash-garbage terrible before you get to this one which is Somehow Good. Maybe my feelings on this one are higher than they should be because it was an actually competently made movie after slogging through the refuse that is the bulk of the Hellraiser franchise. But dammit I liked it and the new femme Pinhead is incredibly hot and I finally understand why people were so horny for Pinhead in the original one (or two (or three)) movies. Those old ones are good to! But this one stuck with me more, for now.
Wingwomen (2023, dir. Mélanie Laurent)
I mean, this is definitely the best movie I've seen about a polycule of international thiefs that pull off One Last Heist so that the eldest of them can retire and go live their life how they want. I really hope it becomes a much bigger genre in the future.
Imagine Me & You (2005, dir. Ol Parker)
This is technically not a first-time watch because I have seen it three or four times before but the last time was something like five or six years ago. This movie holds some really strong importance to me because it was one of the things I saw as a confused queer teen that was really strugging with my own feelings and my place in life. When I watched it, it was one of the only things I had seen where woman could be queer and open and happy. There was no big falling out with family. There was no major drama or tragedy to it. It's just a lesbian rom-com. And while it probably isn't the best in that particular sub-genre, it hit me at a time when I really needed it and that makes it special to me. Lena Headey should be in more movies where she's a lesbian, I think that would be good for us as a society.
The Duke of Burgundy (2014, dir. Peter Strickland)
Trying to figure out how to talk about all my favorite parts of this without just outing myself and all the perverted kinks I'm into ahahaha it's a good movie, I swear!! it's not just perverse and exciting!! but it's also that!!
Stay On Board: The Leo Baker Story (2022, dir. Nicola Marsh, Giovanni Reda)
Skateboarding is cool! I used to be way into it as a teen and it has always lived in the back of my mind as a cool thing for cool people. I think this year I watched something like 3 or 4 skateboarding documentaries which seems like a lot! And, hey, this one is the best because it's about a queer man coming out and not just finding his place in the world but making his place. It's a very sweet and emotional story with some strong moments. I hope Leo is doing well out there, he seems like a real solid dude.
Mutt (2023, dir. Vuk Lungulov-Klotz)
I first heard about this movie via the radio(!) when I heard an interview (on NPR, probably) with the director/director Vuk Lungulov-Klotz. Riding in the car with my father (who I am not out to), hearing about this movie about a day in the life of a trans man, and just kind of vibrating with excitment about it but feeling scared to express that at all because my father would then have Some Questions that I was not ready to answer then. I had to discreetly make a note about the movie on my phone so I could figure out how to watch it ASAP and I am so glad I was eventually able to see it because it's so damn good. Feña has a fucking miserable day and it is so much fun to watch. He is so exhausted and stretched thin and trying his best and if that ain't the most relatable mood for a trans person in America then I don't know what is.
Fanfic (2023, dir. Marta Karwowska)
The scene when Tosiek puts on masc clothes and experiences gender euphoria for the first time has been burned into my memory and I will never forget it. What a special moment. It really reminded me of the first time I wore a skirt. Everything felt magical, as if I had unlocked some secret in life. And I had! Because being trans fuckin' rules.
The Pope's Exorcist (2023, dir. Julius Avery)
One of the most bewildering movies I've ever seen in both the best and worst ways. What a fascinating thing. It seems like it'll just be some ghost/haunting/exorcism movie but then it turns into some Catholic church apologia and sets up not just a sequel but a whole franchise. It is something that needs to be seen to be believed. Really kinda wild that it exists in the form it is. Like, no one look at this and said "what the fuck are we doing here?" Amazing.

HI FRIEND !!! ARTIST ASK GAME 4 6 7 9 11 14 29 ???
4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
anything posed i can never draw anything with a pose more complicated than just standing there 😭😭😭😭 but also i looove love love landscapes and like, nature stuff but i never draw them 😢
6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)
hmmmmm not sure tbh i cant rly think of anything / i think of too many things that it cant rly be catergorized into anything coherent. a lot of my style was rly influenced by artists that i grew up on but i think ive gone thru a lot over the years and some of that influence has rly faded :( i used to be into rly cartoony artists like kasey golden a long time ago and i kinda miss how like, unique and not-same-face-syndrome-y i used to draw characters. i do tend to have a lot of design flairs that im still rly attached to and youll see them around from time to time LOL
7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate
uhhh oil painting? or like, painting in general i guess, im really terrible at it but i love it sm its so cool. its the opposite for charcoal tho its pretty fun to mess around with it but i have no appreciation for works with it :/// i dont rly like it especially if its like, just realistic stuff i think its boring if its just like. a straight up portrait with nothing else creative abt it 😭
9. What are your file name conventions
i usually just have it named w the charac im drawing in it and then with a number if theres more than one file w the charac so like scar.mdp, scar + timbertie.mdp, ace.mdp, YAMA3.mdp, str6.mdp, 2sgr3.mdp, or sometimes like, doodles.mdp doodles1.mdp doodles3.mdp doodles4.mdp doodles6.mdp usually when theres more than one character in the file. i used to put just number 1, 2, 3 etc as the file names so that theyd show alphabetically but it was rly better to have at least a name of what was in the drawing
11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what
i listen to music At All Times. first thing i do when i open my laptop i immediately open youtube to play music. i dont really have like a specific playlist for when im drawing something specific but sometimes i do get like. really into and obsessed w a song and just play that on loop. ive been rly obsessed recently w zild and the amazing devil
14. Any favorite motifs
i looooove love love love love yellow and the sun and sunflowers not quite as a specific motif but like. to show/ joy. happiness. hope. i eat that shit up 💛🫶
29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically
hmmmmmmm i dunno what exactly this means by media i love but doesnt inspire me, uhhh technically i can be inspired by anything i just dont do things. u can trust in me to romanticize Everything LMAO i guess like, realism? oh or i guess modern or minimalist stuff? i cant think of anything that fits this lol
#asks#ask game#nameification#HI VIV TYSM FOR THE ASK ^v^ <3333333333333333#did u also reblog this cause if u did i Will send u ask as well :0#thank u sm for the so many questions i love answering questions

Y'know I know ask games are for people to, y'know, send in asks. But I don't see people often just. Fill it all out themselves. Fuck it I'll help out the shy people.
SO ASK GAME BELOW 'READMORE' LET'S GO
1. Art programs you have but don't use: MS Paint, Blender, I used to have WAY more like this one painting [like actual paint] program.
2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even): Left is easiest, Right is in the middle, and forward is the hardest of those three for me.
3. What ideas come from when you were little: I was fascinated by G/T from like. 3 years old. I blame Super Mario Land 2 LMAO
4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw: Handheld, perspective, monsters/creatures, and massive scale
5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself: Uhhh probably about 50/50? A lot of things I draw are spoilers, shitposts, and other study art I don't bother sharing.
6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it): Not that I can think of? My art doesn't get analyzed super often. I think people think I study anime more than I do.
7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate: Charcoal, watercolors, sculpture, oil pastels, acrylic, copic markers
8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in: Originally I was going to make an AMV with my two characters, Nonny and Felicia, to the song 'shut up and dance with me'. These two aren't active OCs anymore, and the project was WAY too ambitious for my skill level 9 years ago lmao.
9. What are your file name conventions: 1: Name of song I listened to on loop while drawing. 2: An inside joke. 3: Literal rep of what's on the canvas like 'Hema doodles Aug 2023'.
10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw: Body suits, capes, scarves
11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what: TONS. My fave lyrical music, videogame soundtracks, sometimes just ambiance if I'm overwhelmed. Usually tho it's the same song on loop till I get the inspired piece out of my system.
12. Easiest part of body to draw: Eyes!
13. A creator who you admire but whose work isn't your thing: A lot of NSFW artists who I won't list here LMAO. I don't go to that school, but their art skills are top-notch.
14. Any favorite motifs: Mirrors, doppelgangers, leaving 1 eye absent for emotional effect, feathers/wings, falling, sinking into water, eyes, dark palettes with bright accents/light sources, glowing eyes, flowing hair, size difference/scale, fucked up version of self vs real version
15. *Where* do you draw (don't drop your ip address this just means do you doodle at a park or smth): Starbucks, home, parks if I'm feelin spicy, anywhere I take my tablet for the day.
16. Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing: A lot of my niche/kink stuff tends to get pretty dredge-y for me. I may be good at it, but it's not where my passion lies. That's in animation, fantasy, dramatic stuff, storytelling, etc.
17. Do you eat/drink when drawing? if so, what: Water or Snapple for the drink, milk if it's bedtime so I can settle down, and then usually the snacks are just whatever my lunch is for the day since we don't have a table.
18. An estimate of how much art supplies you've broken: Not many! Less than $100 I'd say. I'm very careful with my supplies, and I don't believe I've ever broken a tablet. The worst I've done was I busted 1 or 2 cheap tablet pens with stupidity.
19. Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.): Definitely nature. Tree trunks and swirls therein, flowers, grass.
20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy: Humans! Not that it's an 'everyone' thing, I just run in some furry circles where human artists are a rarity. Eyes, too. Some people find expressions rly hard.
21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways: Uhhh man damn, I don't follow a lot of art styles that aren't something I took inspo from? But I guess Wolf Walkers is my biggest one.
22. What physical exercises do you do before drawing, if any: Sooometimes I stretch, but I don't do it nearly often enough.
23. Do you use different layer modes: Yep! My most common ones are Multiply, Glow Dodge, Add, Add Glow, Overlay, Pin Light, and Color.
24. Do your references include stock images: Absolutely! Reference is important.
25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by: Not much! Most of my inspirations are pretty clear-cut and strong. Avatar, SU, Disney, Dreamworks, FMA, some Warner Brothers' movies, etc.
26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended: God, so, the G/T gif of mine that makes the rounds a lot? The one where VT finds someone small and it's their POV and he helps them and puts them in his shirt pocket??? Most people were completely normal about that post. But then there's one chuckle-head who was calling it pocket-vore, and I wanted to scream. I even chastised them like 'hey uh, no. That's not what this is.' and they argued back with 'well it's up to the eye of the beholder more than your opinion.' and I was like 'UH NO. I MADE THIS. MY OPINION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR WEIRD ONE???' I've also RAAARELY had people call my characters underaged when they're all well over 21, so those are always gross/wild LMAO.
27. Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with: Sometimes! I usually do an anatomy study, brush stroke warm-ups, or just doodle something personal first.
28. Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines): I think Multi Animator Projects [MAPS] would count here! I was part of Starclan's Chosen, Change Your Mind [Brambleclaw], Levitating, Family of Me [fallenleaves], Goosebumps Warriors MAP, Pay No Mind MEP, LA Devotee [never finished], White Rabbit, and Fear Garden! Among others :>
29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically: Not much! Pretty much everything I love inspires me artistically. I guess some anime styles?
30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated: Pretty much any of my animations. But I only feel that way cuz they take THE MOST dedication and work time. Also kiiiinda my writing? But a lot of people have trouble getting people to respond to literature, so.

I'd love your opinion!
Hello there! I'm Host (or Alex), I make creepy traditional art, watercolor is my favorite medium! I mostly make either traditional horror art or fanart, for example the FNAF x The Mandela Catalog crossover. Your love and support make my day all the time, I'm very touched and greatful for your attention!
I was interested, just as a thought - would you support me on Boosty if you had a chance? I have no medical emergencies and I make a decent living, but I do come short on fun money sometimes. I would ask for small sums for art supplies: for example, where I live, a single cuvette of good quality watercolors cost between $1.5 to $5, good synthetic brushes are about $1.5-2, a pack of my favorite 100% cotton watercolor paper is $5-6. It's not much, but it does add up.
I would make a couple of interesting posts for you on Boosty: I can talk about what watercolor supplies I use (I am mostly self-taught tho, my partner and Youtube were my teachers), or I can talk about horror or give pointers on drawing animal anatomy (I have a Masters degree in Zoology and I currently teach it).
Again - I have no urgency and would not ask you for any money you wouldn't spare. I can't provide regular content as well, sadly. But your support would be greatly appreciated and make me a happy lil' bug full of watercolors! So, in theory - would you like to support me? I may or may not make a Boosty for myself, so it's really just a question for now! I would - regardless - always post my art here for you to enjoy.

17, 29, 48, & 55 😁🫖
oh u GOT me got me lets go
(17) what is your favorite line you’ve ever written? babe plz this one is too hard..... there's too many...... I HAVE 920K WORDS ON AO3 AND ~50K INCOMING I DONT EVEN REMEMBER THEM ALL......... uuhhhhhhhh ok ok ill try to narrow a few down. it's all gonna be recent tho bc that's what i remember most + i have rly been indulging myself stylistically as of late lmao
for just ~pretty language~ my favorites rn are
"Jimin is almost too pretty to mar with mortal hands, but Jungkook finds desecration is half the fun when his hands slip lower" (folie à trois)
"Some floodgate inside him has broken, the last bastion of resistance crumbled, and now he’s a drowning man in the dead waters" (folie à trois)
“I love you,” he whimpers into Taehyung’s kiss like a prayer. Too devout; Taehyung’s hands and lips pause. Jimin’s own lip is already trembling, caught, so he lets the confessional spill like it’s the last Sunday he’ll ever see." (the losing game ch17)
"[Taehyung] used to dream, sometimes, after Jimin was gone, that he was holding him again, that he could crack open Jimin's ribcage and crawl inside to make a home beside his heart before they burned together." (the losing game ch5)
"Sometimes—in his darkest moments, on his worst nights—Jimin dreams about Taehyung carving over each and every one of his scars. Creating clean new edges to each of them, prying fingers in the wound to be as close as possible, rewriting their memories and meanings with a jagged, almost unbearable intimacy." (the losing game ch17)
"The graves we dig ourselves are often the deepest." (the graves we dig..... now thats a real throwback huh)
there's too much i could say for dialogue but.... i'm super fond of the hurtful conversations present!vmin have in tlg (especially ch14, i reread that a lot), ignite the stars ch5 (also reread that a lot), and also i love pretty much everything that comes out of taehyung's mouth in folie à trois lol
(29) give us a spoiler for one of your stories. answered here, but since this one could be answered multiple times i'll bite......... my queue tag ("i'm glad it was queue") is a play on one of my favorite lines in all of tlg that i have been excited about getting to for yeaaaarrrssss. no one but me knows the line yet (or how hurtful its context is) bc it's in one of the final chapters hehehe but it's "i'm glad it was you" ..... :')
(48) do you reread your own stories? the answer to this used to be a strong NO!!!! but that has actually changed in the last two years! i don't rly reread anything older (my writing style has changed so much + there's things i'd change about older fics esp <2020 so it's not an enjoyable experience to me, i'd just fret over editing it) but there's some newer fics i reread bc they are So written to my own taste. i think i really improved a lot getting to write a bunch in lockdown lol + started caring less about whether ppl liked the fic and just wrote for ✨Me✨ so several of those recent fics i'm happy with and do reread sometimes like a stupid idiot narcissus
The ones i've reread the most are "sit, stay" + "sea legs" + favorite parts of "ignite the stars" and my favorite parts of "the losing game". the other scattered pwp's since 2020 have gotten reread about twice each. and i recently reread WBIO for the first time since writing it in early 2020!!! mixed feelings on that one bc i felt like i would change some parts of it if i wrote it today but that's a sign ur growing and improving i suppose
(55) do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them? oh i have so fucking many 'WIPs' it's not even funny. there's probably like ~12 completely bullet point outlined medium length / longfics in my docs down to exact dialogue i'd write, and dozens more fic attempts that have a whole plot and ending. bc as soon as i come up with an idea i already immediately know how i want it to end. which gives me way too many Plot Bunnies that are viable to be turned into fics!!!!! two years ago i made a list of every idea i thought should at least see the light of day in threadfic form if not an actual fic and it came out to 30 fics lol (and that was cutting it down to the essentials)
the thing is, very few of my WIPs are ever 'abandoned' in my mind, it's more like... i put them in my mental freezer. on hold / on ice. and some of them are closer to the front and get taken out and rotated around and worked on more often, while others are shoved to the far back of the freezer as i say "i'll make that someday" and forget it exists til the next time im reminded of it. there's only a few that i'd actually toss in the trash (aka truly abandon and never work on again).
the ones that are definitely abandoned in that i know i dont Want to write them are all on the more domestic romcom side (think like 'meaner than mean' or 'i like us like this') i know people like those but they're the hardest thing for me to write, those were the most annoyed i've ever felt while writing, i would literally groan out loud working on them, i am rly only happy writing conflict/angst or pwp lol
tbh, if i were to be realistic with myself, i'd say most of these wip's are 'abandoned' in that i probably will never get around to finishing them. but i dont want to call them abandoned because i do like the plots, and think ppl would like them, and want to share them!!! i just think they would suck / not be fun to write. Maybe Someday i will do an archival effort and work on translating as many of them as i can into threadfic form so they see the light of day in some format and are no longer abandoned to rot in my docs... bc there's no way that most of them are ever going to be written the way i wish i could do them justice :') and then i can abandon them knowing that ppl at least got to read a vague outline of what could have been
fun fact: i opened the aforementioned list of all these ideas to count and on one of them, a fic i've been poking at since 2018, i have the note "finish this or die" next to it. guess i know which one i've picked atp 🪦
