Thinking about Frostpunk setting in other regions and countries is very fascinating to me. There are a lot of deposits in the Russian Arctic, including coal, that were and are mined to this day in harsh tundra conditions with freezing temperatures and unyielding winds. A number of large deposits of high-quality coal was discovered in what later became the Vorkuta region of Komi Republic.
A lot of coal mines and coal processing plants were functioning in this region in USSR, so a number of settlements were built around them, which were quite populous back then. Now, a lot of the mines are closed, and many of those settlements became desolate and empty, people were leaving and buildings and machinery were abandoned.
I thought if Frostpunk occurs, it would make sense to build a Generator nearby, reopen the coal mines and repopulate the settlements back, or salvage them for material. So here's a scene from this AU!
The monument at the front is the "Coal" stella (стелла Уголь), a real monument to coal in Vorgashor, a settlement in Vorkuta region.

Ancylis mitterbacheriana is a European leafroller moth (from the family Tortricidae) with a wingspan of around 17 mm. By the way - it was kinda hard for me to grasp - the wingspan roughly translates to 2x wing length. A lot of leafroller moths are considered pests because their larvae bore into fruits, stems, and roots of garden plants! Still, they possess stunning beauty.

Phyllonorycter is a very large genus of moths in the family Gracillariidae, containing approximately 4000 species! Their wingspan is less than 1 cm and forewing length is 2.5-4.5 mm. THEY'RE TINY! :0
And they're insanely colorful and beautiful, with a lot of different patterns, some are white, blue, yellow, some look like clown fish! <3

Antarctic Expedition Log 01-157: We discovered an unusual species of penguin that appears to worship the tallest member of its population. The crew thought it quite entertaining, but there was something in The Giant's eyes that unsettled me...

Two fall compositions with some dry seeds, pods and berries! The upper moth is a litter moth Polypogon tentacularia. It's called a litter moth because its larvae feed on dead leaves from well, the forest litter.
The lower green moth is Pseudoips prasinana, or the green silver-lines. Both of these moths are quite small, and I tried, with varying success, to draw the stuff around them to scale.
I wanted to print some postcards with my moth drawings, which one of these two do you think will look better on a card?;)

Ford can't just stop being obsessed with Bill, it's not that simple... He wished he could. Sometimes he's glad he can't.
This is obsessed, completely unhinged, desperate, needy, traumatized Stanford from my and my beloved @barbru's AU "Bad couple", where Bill and Ford are horrible and destined for each other
Check out her beautiful arts and comics!!
