Please understand that I am kicking my feet in excitement every time someone new follows me or reblogs my posts!!! I haven't been active in an actual fandom in so long and even then it was never like this. It's a sense of community that I was too scared to feel at 17, but now am delighted in.
#zeph posting#like genuinely i am having such a good time in the supernatural fandom (provided i block the right tags)#someone will reblog a post with commentary in the tags and i just! wow people like the words i say#im allowed to freely enjoy what i enjoy without fear of judgement and hatred like how it was with hs when i was younger#i try to avoid a lot of discourse (though i have several very hard stances on things that i think matter)#and its so much easier to not get pulled into it with where i am in the spn fandom than where i was in the hs fandom#i literally still get drawn into it by friends sometimes and its like please i am trying to have fun#but spn? im free to just lie here and kick my feet in delight#its easier to get an idea on who i need to block too.

Hi. I’ve been following you for a while and I really appreciate all the OFMD gifs you make and how you add really good image descriptions. I’m pretty bad at social cues and I wanted to know if you have tips for how to thank gif makers? Do you have advice for how to word the thank you without accidentally sounding weird or rude? Is it OK for someone to thank a gif maker in their ask box if the asker doesn’t follow the gif maker? Any sort of advice like that would be appreciated, or sample scripts that are socially acceptable to send. I know gif makers work really hard and I want to say thanks without accidentally breaking unspoken social rules I don’t know about and I felt safest asking you. I hope that’s OK. Thank you very much.
hi anon 💗 first of all this is such a lovely message and sentiment, thank you 🥹 i'd say you're pretty well on your way already!
i think every gif maker i know would LOVE getting a thank you message! as you say it is hard work, and having that acknowledged will always be appreciated 💗 (no matter if you follow them or not)
here is my specific advice on how to thank gif makers:
reblog! we share the gifs we make because we want to share our love for the show/movie/actor/etc. with other people, and by reblogging, you help us do that. adding something nice in the tags, whether it's something like "this is gorgeous!" or "thank you for giffing this moment, op!", compliments on the coloring (like "love the coloring"/"wow you did such a good job brightening this dark scene!"/"these look so crisp/sharp!"), or commentary on what the gifs show (like "he looks so sad, i wanna give him a hug"/"this scene is so funny/heartbreaking/sweet"/"i never noticed this detail before"), or simply emojis (any combinations of 💖, 🫠, 🥹, 🥺, 😭, 😍 or whatever the gif makes you feel), any kind of reaction like that will be very much appreciated - for me, it's the highlight of making and sharing gifs!
as for sending an ask, i think any kind of thank you message would make gif makers extremely happy 🥹 here are some sample sentences - any variation and combination of these would be lovely to receive, i think (some ideas/options in [brackets]): "i love seeing your gifs on my dash" "thank you for [creating/posting/sharing] your gifs, they [bring so much joy/always make me happy to see]" "i love your coloring, it's so [warm/vibrant/gorgeous/bright and sharp/colorful]" "thank you for giffing [character/person/show], i really appreciate seeing gifs of [that/them]" "thank you for adding [alt text/image descriptions] to your gifs, it helps a lot!" "i really admire how [fast/talented/creative] you are at giffing" ok these are just a few ideas but i hope it's helpful! 💗
this is not a direct way of thanking gif makers (as it should be a given), but i wanna add it because it's important to me: give credit if you share our gifs in other ways than reblogging the original post. please please please do not repost/crosspost gifs without credit. if a gif maker doesn't want their gifs reposted/crossposted at all, please respect it. most, like me, will be fine with it if you credit properly. here are some ways to do that: if you want to use a gif in your own post on tumblr, you can use the Add GIF function, which automatically adds credit (and we get a lil notification), or tag the creator and/or link the original gifset in the post (e.g. "gif by @bizarrelittlemew"). if you want to post a gif to another platform, e.g. twitter, these are some examples on how to give credit: "gif by @/bizarrelittlemew on tumblr", "📸: @/bizarrelittlemew", "gif by @[twitter handle]", "gif source: [link]" and variations of these, written either in the post itself or in a reply right below. not only in the ALT text (as that is for, well, ALT text) and not by making a general note on your profile that "gifs are not my own"/"the gifs i post are from tumblr" or similar (as this won't be evident from the post itself and doesn't credit the gif maker). ok that got a bit long but hopefully it makes sense!
also, if a gifset inspires you to write meta or make your own post about what the gifset depicts, we'd also be very happy if you linked it (like "this gifset reminded me of... / made me think about...") OR simply add it in a reblog of the gifset! the exception (for me, others may feel differently) is if the meta/comment "disagrees" with the gifset, like if the gifset shows "[character] being considerate" and the comment is something like "actually, i don't think this is [character] being considerate, i think they're manipulative". then making a separate post would be more welcome (i'd personally still appreciate a link to the gifset if you were inspired by it).
something that would be rude (since you ask how to avoid that) would be somehow criticizing the gifset in the comments/tags/replies, like disagreeing with the composition (e.g. "i don't think gif number X fits with this theme"), or being negative about the editing/giving unsolicited advice (e.g. "wish these gifs were brighter/sharper" or "hey op you should make your gifs slower/faster"), or talking about how you dislike the show/movie/characters (because the gif maker will see your tags/comments and they probably made the gifs out of love for the thing). as long as you avoid that, you should be fine!
once again thank you for this lovely ask and for wanting to show your appreciation for gif makers 💗
#asks#Anonymous#gifs#gif making#gif makers#sorry for the super long post but i wanted to be thorough for such a lovely ask!! <3

I've been on Tumblr now for over 1 year. 🎉 I thought it might be time to (re)introduce myself and how I've been handling this account.
My name is Layla. I'm almost 42 years old. ♑☀️♒🌙♓⬆️ I just started a personal Tumblr that you're welcome to follow if you want to learn more about me. @trauma-tits (Named after my weekly newsletter. I write a few other places on the internet too.)
Animal Crossing New Horizons is the only Animal Crossing game I've played. I love it so much that I can't move on to other video games because I'd rather be playing ACNH. I've only had one island called Praxis, but I hope to start a new one very soon! (In full disclosure, I've been saying that for months and life keeps getting in the way.)
I usually have my finger on the pulse of fresh posts, but you'll never know that because I reblog everything to the queue which hovers around 300 at all times. I use reblogging in real time to indicate when things aren't from the queue as opposed to marking everything that is. On Fridays, I hit "shuffle queue" and sometimes tweak the times and number of posts.
I've been sharing screenshots from my island Praxis with acnh praxis, animal crossing, animal crossing new horizons, acnh, acnh screenshots, acnh life, & animal crossing creations, and the vacation homes I've decorated in Happy Home Paradise with happy home paradise, happy home designer, happy home dlc, acnh happy home paradise, and acnh exterior or acnh interior as relevant.
Other tags I use:
ac [villager name] and acnh [villager name] because I couldn't remember which one I started with so to ensure I can go back and find things I do both on each post that highlights a villager to remain consistent.
If there is more than one villager showcased, I usually try to tag each one individually. However, if I am in a hurry or I don't know all the villagers and don't have time to look them up, I will use the general acnh villagers. I try to also use acnh [species name], especially if the post is solely one species.
Anything regarding dialogue (photo edited or organic) I use acnh dialogue or ac dialogue if it isn't New Horizons.
acnh codes, custom codes, and acnh custom design for the codes. This is not my strong suit, so any custom stuff you see in my screenshots someone else created (unless otherwise specified). I do not usually share the codes in each post since they aren't mine, but if you ask for them, I'll share.
For dream address posts I also use the tag i really need to start dreaming again because I haven't done it in awhile.
acnh inspiration is for anything that I see that makes me go, "Wow, I wish I was playing right now because this has INSPIRED me!" I never use this tag on my own posts, only rbs of others. If I rb your post with that, you should take it as the HIGHEST compliment. 😘
If there is crossover content between AC and other fandoms, I use when worlds collide, and sometimes I even share crossovers where I am not familiar with the other one.
I love it when people like, reblog, comment, and use my ask box. I love talking to strangers (because a stranger is just a friend you haven't made yet) and I love answering questions. I really like the animal crossing community, and I love making new friends. 💞
I'm still trying to figure out when I should be writing my commentary in the body of the reblog and when it should be a tag instead. If there are other tags you think I should be using to get posts on your dash, lmk. Oh, and I also love it when people go down my page and like a bunch of posts, so don't hesitate to pop over to this account anytime you have the urge. 💕
Thanks for reading this novel of a post, and I hope you're having a day! 💟
#this is a love letter to my followers#added a personal pic just for kicks#big noses are beautiful#this pic is from a date night last month#animal crossing community#words words words

I know a bunch of people are making way more helpful beginner’s guides to tumblr but for anyone who may be making the leap during the Reddit exodus here’s my two cents:
try following friends first. get the hang of how reblogging functions and of all the posting features. if you use desktop add an xkit extension and use their quick reblog. change your header and profile and title from the default. consider not using an unstylized picture of yourself as a profile; anonymity is valued here (though of course, coming from reddit, I’m sure you understand.)
curate your own dash. follow people who post about things you’re interested in, follow friends, follow friends of friends, unfollow anyone at any time if you notice that their posts are not for you. don’t feel obligated to follow certain people just to participate in certain corners of the internet. if they really have so much good shit to say, it’ll probably make its way over to you eventually. the trending and for you pages are kind of useless and serve best as an occasional peek into a funhouse mirror version of the internet you thought you knew.
don’t overuse the add-to-reblog comment feature. if there’s additional commentary you want to share with your audience, that’s what tags are for! it shows up in the poster and previous reblogger’s notifications just the same. somewhere down the line someone might see your tags and decide to append them to the main post. we affectionately refer to this process as “peer review,” because once something has been added to a reblog any further iterations of the post will include that addition so it’s really just a way of saying said commentary adds to the post in a way that is not exclusive to your own audience.
that said if you do feel you have additional context or a necessary perspective to add to a post and you deliberately want to attach it, don’t be afraid to say your piece. people can reblog it or ignore it if they like, that’s their business.
if you disagree with the contents of a post, try not to do a discourse about it. If it seems like well-intended misinformation, you can add a correction with a source, or whatever additional context you feel is necessary for anyone who may not know better. any questions about what the post really means or follow-up is maybe best directed towards op’s ask box, as the narrative of reblog threads can get lost in the notifs tab. don’t be argumentative, don’t make assumptions; this is the internet. nobody on here gets an editor to make sure their words are framed exactly as they intended. if you really feel like being negative take a screenshot of the offending section, redact op’s url and any tagged or visible accounts, and make your own post. we all want to just tear into something from time to time and disagreements are a part of life. but try to avoid unnecessary conflict, it’s neither fun nor productive for any party.
if you see someone being a bigot block them. don’t dunk on them, don’t send them anon hate, don’t argue against them in the reblogs. there’s no algorithm on this site and nothing spreads without people spreading it. the best way to stop vitriol is to disengage.
block anyone. block people for being hateful bigots, block people for being annoying. block people for trying to start discourse on your posts even if you feel bad about it. if you start thinking to yourself wow, my life would be just a little bit better if this person couldn’t see my posts and I couldn’t see theirs, block them. block me for being preachy. block your best friend of six years bc they’re spamming your dash with their untagged spongebob liveblog and then dunk on them in your 20 person discord server.
treasure your mutuals but don’t feel like you have to be following people to be friends. tumblr dms are busted as hell just send someone an ask instead unless it’s that private. the search function does not work. polls are new and we’re all still constructing the etiquette of those together, but so far they’re mostly a vehicle for pitting characters against each other chunin exams style. ignore any part of this post that you don’t want to listen to I am legitimately not the boss of you. make your own truth go crazy drink water have fun.

wow. you have issues.
(1) telling people to “seek God” and assuming people are religious and believe in that? yikes. red flag.
(2) you’re literally shaming people for having a libido and engaging with sexual content in their own private lives, and having some fun—that’s another red flag and not cool. you clearly have some internalized issues with sex lol.
(3) it’s fucking FICTIONAL CONTENT, what the fuck is so wrong with liking fictional characters and wanting to talk about it? you don’t get to dictate and control what other people look at online. telling people to “seek God/help” for experiencing attraction to a character and reading fics??? wtf is wrong with you? extreme much? like this has to be satire, you can’t be fucking serious. that’s the kind of shit you say to a pedophile, or a rapist, or a murderer, or a bigot actively trying to ruin someone’s life, not some random person reading some fanfiction.
fuck you and your gifsets. I’ve followed and supported you for YEARS, but nah, you can go fuck yourself. I’ve seen you being a bitch to your own followers and people who support your content over and over, treating them like shit, having a conniption fit because people comment IN THE TAGS of a reblog of one of your gifsets or bc someone thirsted over a hot fictional guy from a game you also play. ‘god’ forbid anybody do anything outside of your ridiculous ruleset and dictatorship or they’re “not allowed to follow your precious public blog!” fucking private/password your blog then. stop making gifs. leave.
you’re on Tumblr dot com, a public website where the whole point of it is to reblog and add on commentary! people have every right to say something, and why WOULDN’T you want people to compliment the gifs or you or thank you for them? why in your mind are people “not allowed” to talk about their fav character in a gifset? you’re the only person out of THOUSANDS I’ve ever seen in the past 10 years bitching about people commenting on content here. at least people reblogged your shit, you ungrateful fuck.
you come off as a narcissistic, entitled, spoiled brat and have some serious anger issues. you’re the one that needs help, and not from some magical guy in the sky. get off Tumblr. you’d be doing the site a favour. one less dickhead amongst the circus.
“dni if you read fics!!!!!” that’s a new one. 😂🤡
holyshit what did I wake up to... lets go through this- whatever this is point by point shall we... cause I have a lot to say. buckle up!
first of all, yes I have issues, didn't I make it as clear as a sunny fucking day? everything I say or do, I bitch about it and I talk shit about it here. I legit don't care about what people say or think about me, I'm past that point in my life. tumblr drama? what is this? 2018?2019? grow the fuck up. I didn't make this blog for aesthetics and to coddle everyone who follows me. you like my content? I appreciate the shit out of you. you dont? I cant force you to like my posts nor gifs. but my blog my rules, dont like it? skedaddle.
"(1) telling people to “seek God” and assuming people are religious and believe in that? yikes. red flag." what of it even if someone didn't have religious beliefs? when I say that I mean get fucking cleansed you filthy bitches cause yall need to after consuming/create that type of media.
but no, all that bullshit going on on this fucking site that I've mentioned and you're worried about me pushing religious beliefs on people? and just basically say 'you're telling people to seek god? what if they dont believe in one? ugh so offensive' is kind of dumb really.
"(3) it’s fucking FICTIONAL CONTENT, what the fuck is so wrong with liking fictional characters and wanting to talk about it? you don’t get to dictate and control what other people look at online. telling people to “seek God/help” for experiencing attraction to a character and reading fics??? wtf is wrong with you? extreme much? like this has to be satire, you can’t be fucking serious. that’s the kind of shit you say to a pedophile, or a rapist, or a murderer, or a bigot actively trying to ruin someone’s life, not some random person reading some fanfiction." I never mentioned anything about liking a fictional character, or talked shit about someone liking one or reading fanfictions, did I go around and say 'oh you like ghost? fuck you you dont get to like him and read fanfics about him'. you missed every damn post I made. me ranting werent about people liking the characters or reading fanfics, my problem was with people consuming and creating the filthy, degenerate, pervy content made for the characters that I love.
and for fucks sake I talk about how I'm in love with fictional characters, you say you followed me for 'years and YEARS' yet you couldn't really understand the whole shtick of this blog, like the dumbass you are. I made this blog to rant and solely talk about how much I'm in love with fictional characters! and I go out of my way to seek out fanfictions on here and other sites. what an absolute imbecilic of being you are lmao.
also this phrase “seek God/help” like out of everything I said, and you took THAT to heart? and made a whole ass paragraph for it. religious point aside its a common phrase even an atheist can use, how old are you?
"fuck you and your gifsets. ‘god’ forbid anybody do anything outside of your ridiculous ruleset and dictatorship or they’re “not allowed to follow your precious public blog!” fucking private/password your blog then. stop making gifs. leave." supported me for years and years yet you didn't know me well enough to read what i fucking wrote. and somehow you remember that i used to bitch about people leaving comments on my gifs cause it used to irritate me back in the day. it seems like you only pick up the bad habits about someone and keep them in your memories for some reason, and send them an ask like this to them when you dont like how they are anymore. (also get your facts clear man, I didn't bitch about people leaving comments in the tags I actually encouraged it, I bitched about people leaving comments IN the posts themselves. again another wrong fact about me).
"stop making gifs. leave" nah I don't think I will. I'll make even more, and bitch about how much i don't like people demolishing the characters I love even MORE now cause man, as tilted I am right now, I am MOTIVATED to make gifs even more now. oh my god you gave me something to work on!! just watch how many gifs i post this week :)
"you’re on Tumblr dot com, a public website where the whole point of it is to reblog and add on commentary! people have every right to say something, and why WOULDN’T you want people to compliment the gifs or you or thank you for them? why in your mind are people “not allowed” to talk about their fav character in a gifset? you’re the only person out of THOUSANDS I’ve ever seen in the past 10 years bitching about people commenting on content here. at least people reblogged your shit, you ungrateful fuck." its a public site but it's my blog, I get to post WHATEVER the fuck I want, I don't also tag these posts in the general media tags so it stay IN my blog, now if you you don't like it? simple enough. leave. also when have I ever said something or been ungrateful when someone liked my gifs??? that shit will send me over the moon even if the post didn't receive traction. holyshit youre dumb as fuck! my god I'm flabbergasted. someone leaving nice comments in the tags of a gif post, is a gif maker's wet dream! but of course you didn't know that cause why would you, or rather how would you cause you're dumb as fuck. what I bitched about wasnt someone leaving a nice comments in the TAGS so I can keep the post 'clean', I was bitching about people leaving comments on the fucking post itself and let me tell you they were NOT 'complements'. now if you didn't see that then not only you're dumb af, you're blind too.
"you come off as a narcissistic, entitled, spoiled brat and have some serious anger issues. you’re the one that needs help, and not from some magical guy in the sky. get off Tumblr. you’d be doing the site a favour. one less dickhead amongst the circus." narcissistic? I'm not too sure about it, I fucking hate myself that sometimes I'm suicidal and if you call that narcissism, then you need to fix your vocabulary. entitled? yes entitle to keep the filth out of my fucking blog that is. spoiled brat? yeah I've been spoiled with all the support that I've received recently from everyone who enjoyed my creations, and agree with my points that I've made about how degenerate cod fandome can be, and if by brat you mean being mature and express how some of the content in this fandom are just abominations, then yeah I'm a brat. also I fucking hate that word cause it's been in too many kinky fanfics that I managed to avoid, WHICH WAS THE TOPIC I WAS BITCHING ABOUT THE PAST TWO DAYS!
this isn't the first time I've been called all that cause I expressed what felt, and I'm sure it wont be the last either cause fucking brain dead, dumbasses like you exist in this site. and no amount of anon asks like this will make me get "off tumblr". you calling me a dickhead is fucking ironic considering what you sent over anon filter. fucking tiny dick, bitchless, maidenless, behavior.
"“dni if you read fics!!!!!” that’s a new one. 😂🤡" MY GOD! you are the dumbest anon I've received istg.
cry me a fucking river, you're expecting me to be grateful for having a follower like you? oh how you fucking wish. you lost all respect the moment you put on the anon filter on to send this abomination instead of sending sending one to actually have a debate or discuss it. oh I am so fucking glad you're gone.
and you also have some balls, coming here talking shit about how I keep ranting about stuff I didnt like, why dont YOU talk about it in your "own private blog"? I shit talk about how I hated the content some people made about my favorite characters, mischaracterized them or fetishized them in horrible ways. how I didn't appreciate the fact that people were going off and making filthy fanfictions about my favorite characters where they're being dicked down in the asshole and mouth at the same time, or how they're having their way with the supposed reader and they 'sharing them' with the others.
but you? you crossed the line that people don't cross in respect for others by sending this ask, not only you did that, you did it as a pussy ass bitchy anonymous. I hope you sleep well at night after you left this in my inbox. not only you sent a 'hate ask' you went out of your way to ask me to stop doing the only thing I love doing (beside shitposting and bitching) on this site, you made yourself look like a fucking clown by taking everything I ranted about the past two days out of context, and completely misinterpreting everything i posted.
and ironically you send a clown emoji so fitting
now all that aside, all this hypothetically speaking cause I aint a weak bitch and have managed to survive thus far; after you sending this 'nice ask' to me, what if I became suicidal again? what if I got tipped over the edge and completely disappeared from the site like you wanted by the nice words you sent? would you have taken the responsibility? would it be on your conscience that you ruined someone's life by sending a petty ass ask like this? do you really think this was a good idea? either you're getting roasted or taking responsibility of someone's demise. take that into consideration and think next time before you say some stupid shit like this.
there's an unspoken rule amongst people on this site. you don't send hate asks even if you're at your last straw. you unfollow and block people, but you did neither of those. and no matter how bad of a person is behind that blog you don't fucking tell them to 'get off tumblr' or tell them to stop doing what they love. you have absolutely no fucking right.
I wonder, how does it feel to act all 'holier than thou' then being wrong about everything you said. it also seems like you spent a little too much time on this ask cause I see those italic and bold words, man get a life, practice a hobby or just shut the fuck up. you could try to say that about me but I am FURIOUS right now. and goddamn motivated.
but yeah good fucking riddance. one less whiny bitch to worry about.
what a fucking dumbass...
I made the last post about people who likes 'pervy!141 hcs, kinky cumslut fanfics, and degenerate content' and told them to DNI because I've reached my limit, I told them to stay the fuck away from my blog, because I don't appreciate when people make scenarios about my favorite characters taking it in the ass and mouth at the same time, or associate them dark degenerate type of media, I dont want them near my blog and I certainly don't seek them out. all that happened recently is only because I went out my ways, which I rarely do, to seek some decent ass fanfictions. then, and only then I've encountered this stinky bull fucking shit.
#jay answers#dumbass anon#there's a new tag#made just for dumbass anons like this#what happened to trying to have decent taste?#or wanting to consume decent wholesome content?#if that makes me a bad guy then I've lost hope for this site all over again..#i've lost 4 followers because of the recent dni post#man shut the fuck up and get a life#i rewritten this 4 times now#cause i kept pressing ctrl+z#so im just gonna post this#anyways; be on the look out for more price and cod gifs#maybe some destiny too#edit: went ahead and edited some grammar and added a little bit more

@thebusylilbee (For some reason I couldn't reblog that reply of yours with this post. Pity)
A following of this beautiful, reflexive reblog:
Wow, you were so expressive, so passionate, so full of rage back there. I would've feel intimidated if you have added a deep, complex explanation of your point between all that messy spit of words..
As much as I would love to give you a full and detailed explanation of why your reasoning is fucking WRONG, I know by the way you wrote your thoughts you're not the type to willingly hear arguments that go against your beliefs and you're firmly set on your own interpretation of reality, so I'll be quick with this and leave you to keep swimming in your ignorance.
From all that load of bullshit and rage filled nonsense you spit out, there was one thing you're absolutely right about it:
"Hamas WOULD not need to exist"
Damn right they don't, their mere existence is a crime. I don't know how many palestinians outside Gaza you've spoken to but I can quote what the ones I came across have said about Hamas, here some examples:
"They're the real monsters. They do nothing to protect us and just keep making everything worse"
"We weren't allowed to leave because they shoot down anyone that tried to flew the country. They don't care about our lives, just our usefulness to them"
"We can't complain, we can't speak up, if they so much sniff someone's dislike towards them...."
It's hard to translate some of them, but you get the picture. Hamas are terrorists, that much is known. They've been also opressing, humiliating, torturing, raping, displacing, robbing and imprisoning people since their creation, but they've done it in a way that only those lucky enough to escape can confess their crimes. The rest are dead. But foolish, uncultured idiots like you don't want to hear that because it's much easier to pin Israel's government as the SOLE villains of this story and buy the propaganda western media is feeding you.
"if ZIONISTS hadn't created a fascist apartheid state called Israel"
Honey, I don't know what the fuck they taught you in History class, but the "fascist apartheid" state you speak of doesn't exist. Israel was created by the United Nations as part of a plan to give both the arabs and the jews their own territory and cease the continued conflicts.
(Fun fact: The Arab League refused this idea because they didn't want the jews to have their own land, and so shortly after proclamation, five Arabs countries joined forces to attack the freshly created Israel state and invade them. Or, using that term some people in this site love, colonize them. Israel fought back, won for some dumb stroke of luck and, as a solemn "fuck you", they also took a 25% more of the territory that have been accorded)
Now, the Israel's government has clearly changed a LOT (speaking in euphemisms ofc) back from the original days where they genuinely just focused on the Israelis and right now there's really nothing good left in that corrupt, self-centred circle of men.
"zionist ideology wasn't RACIST GENOCIDAL AND INHUMANE."
The origin of the Zionism movement was born as a response to the growing anti-semitism, an actual racist genocidal and inhuman movement, that was happening all around the world. So using those particular adjectives to describe it it's ironic and fucking dumb, because they go against the very reason of its existence.
Now there are various ramifications of Zionism, such as political Zionism, liberal Zionism, religious Zionism, etc. Not all of them good obviously, but the main core of this movement was focused ONLY in protecting the Jews and their culture. I'll never understand how a government that knows the tragedy their fellows suffered even dared to inflict it on other people, but well, guess some humans don't learn from the past.
And last one, the very jewel of your whole commentary:
"You are so fucking stupid, it's incredible that you would fuckign DARE tag your braindead bullshit with a pro-palestine tag when you quite obviously know and understand NOTHING"
I dare to tag "pro palestine" because I'm with them and I'm actually defending their lives, their cause and know where they come from, unlike people like you that speak up all proudly against others and use big words you don't even know the meaning of. If you actually cared about these people, you would have done your research and find out everything about this topic. But you don't, you simply want to show your deep anger for their pain in the same way all influencers and fake activists have been doing since this started. You want to be "part of the trend".
The only one who obviously knows and understand NOTHING about this conflict is YOU, fucking uncultured and ignorant asshole. Everytime I see people like you speak up on this conflict makes my blood boil, because all of you have been blisfully blind while all the atrocities were happening but now the biased social media and tv shows and all these radical anti-semitist political figures are telling you how bad it is, you think it's time to "stand up against the unjustice".
People like you only see the surface of it plus the propaganda they shove in your throats, and not the centuries of dark history and events that have consequently lead up to this. So how about you shut the fuck and let the grown people speak about this matter?
#now i know you won't even read the whole thing and will keep insulting me instead#i learnt to never expect solid arguments from people like you#so if you can't talk like a decent person and show your own point of view in a reasonable manner don't even interact with me#i know it's much more comfortable repeat what other people say and claim it's your personal opinion instead of investigating the matter#but don't you dare to come here and spit out nonsensical shit#oh and#pro palestine#pro israel#free palestine#free palestine from hamas#anti hamas#anti israel's government#anti genocide#genocide#racism#jews#Israel#Palestine#zionism#anti zionism#protect the jews#muslim#israel palestine conflict#gaza

Hopefully it's okay if I answer this! I'm an artist who's done a fair amount of NSFW art on a few platforms so I have a pretty definite perspective on this sort of thing. (If you didn't actually want an answer, let me know and I'll delete it, nbd.) Trans+queer middle aged white dude here, for the record, which is a little different but not that super different when it comes to internet stuff since I don't always even say I'm trans and/or queer depending on the platform.
Anyway yes! It's totally possible. Horny ≠ creepy. It's when someone posts unsolicited explicit comments and such that it actually becomes creepy. As some very general guidelines,
Reblogging a sexy piece of art or photo is fine.
Reblogging a sexy piece of art or photo and saying, "That lingerie really suits you," "I love your hair color," "The way you draw her lips is really nice," or something similar (not too personal, not too explicit, focusing on the artistry of the art/photo and not so much the sexual stuff) is fine 95+% of the time. Different folks have different thresholds about this, so if you're unsure, you can gauge your response off of how they present themselves, or just leave your response as a like or reblog sans commentary. Some people are totally cool with flirtatious comments and encourage it! Some people can't stand it. Just try to read the room.
Reblogging something and saying, "Wow I'd love to get my mouth on that," "You should draw him with a bigger ass," "This made me hard in 3 seconds flat," or similar is right out, especially for photos, unless the person in question is actively encouraging this kind of engagement. Just don't.
Making random posts to nobody about how horny you are is generally a little weird, though in the context of a personal blog it's fine. A read more and appropriate tags are the norm if you're going to talk about your own sexual stuff, or just make it clear in your blog info that this is an 18+ space and you're going to talk about personal sexual topics.
Whatever the case, discussing any person or group of people as though they're fetish objects is creepy every time. This is different than expressing attraction though! "I love trans women with big shoulders," is a totally different sentiment than, "I need a trans woman to sit on my face. Any volunteers?" The first is cool and you're straight up allowed to find any kind of people attractive and talk about that. The second isn't stating attraction so much as fishing for a sex toy with a pulse.
Anyway the tl;dr is basically: treat people like real people. You can appreciate sexual content (read: be horny) all you want, as long as you don't assume it's an invitation for you to behave sexually towards whoever created it.
Okay, honest question here
I'm a middle aged cishet white dude
Is it even possible for me to be horny on the internet without being creepy?

i'm sort of enjoying the influx of new people, but feel like there are a few tips i've seen left out of many welcome-to-tungle posts, so:
unlike most platforms, it's hard to tell who's following you on tumblr! if you have even a moderate amount of activity, it's super easy to miss the notification, and the only other way to tell if someone is following you is to go manually search your followers. sometimes this is a blessing, sometimes this is a curse. (mostly a blessing, tho.)
if you're a writer or a podcaster or an artist or whatever, put that info somewhere obvious! put it in your header, even if it's just "i wrote this thing!" i know you make cool stuff, but some of y'all're making it real hard for people to find out that you make cool stuff.
embrace tags as commentary. if you're adding substantive content to the post, sure, add it to the post, i guess. if it's a post about what you have for breakfast, though, or a meme about which [whatever] are you, just throw it in the tags.
if someone added stuff to a post that you don't agree with, or that isn't adding anything to the post, it's fine to fish around in the notes to find a version that doesn't have that addition.
back to tags. i literally can't overstate how much we love tags here. metacommentary on the post? throwaway comments? vaguely related anecdote? put it in the tags! tags are so much a part of tumblr's conversations that the options for filtering reblog notifications are "reblogs with comment" and "reblogs without comment"—and if you select "reblogs with comment", you'll still get the ones that have had tags added.
side note that you can filter your activity feed, which is where you can see how people are interacting with your posts. i personally try not to engage with mine—not my business—but if you want to look at a specific thing, like who's followed you recently, or replies on your posts, hit the little filter button above the feed and you can be very specific about the types of activity that you want to see.
nope, sorry, i'm still talking about tags. bonus to embracing tags as commentary: you can say whatever weird shit you want! tags are delightfully ephemeral. you want to search the tags? best of luck! you probably cannot. choose to view this as a feature, not a bug.
sometimes your tags pass peer review, as we say, and someone will screenshot or copy them and add them to the post. this is a compliment.
the queue function is the unsung hero of this website. are you posting in real time? are you posting from a queue? are you mixing it up and doing both at once? who can say? congrats, you're ✨mysterious✨!
another important function of the queue is that helps you make *your* blorbos into *our* blorbos. twenty-seven untagged posts about your new hyperfixation in two hours is the soul killer, the thing that makes your followers super tired of even hearing about it. the exact same twenty-seven untagged posts spread out over the course of a day, though, scattered among other posts like seeds on the wind, are somehow charming—compelling, even. wow, that sad wet cat of a man *does* seem awfully sad. i wonder what terrible thing has happened to him!
anyhow, these aren't rules and i'm not the boss of you, but if you were looking for unsolicited advice from a gremlin who's been on tumblr for way, way too long, now you have it.
#tumblr#twitter migration#twitter#i honestly feel like i didn't say enough about tags in this#but i'm trying to be normal about stuff

Update: MYSTERY SOLVED apparently it may be a glitch I wasn't aware of? :O yeah that sounds like tumblr...
Ok...Tumblr etiquette discussion in the face of new-ish(?) Tumblr features: No offense, I understand if this is automated and out of ppls control and I'm not upset about it...just confused??
I previously found it kinda weird when people copied my tags that were just personal commentary (it's fine to copy like. Organization tags and trigger tags or maybe even just a dumb joke tho it feels like taking someone's joke...But im not gonna fight someone over that lol) this has been happening for a while...BUT MY PERSONAL STORY ABOUT MY DAD GETTING ME A POKEMON CARD THAT I CHERISHED??? 😵💫
Why...I assume its an automatic thing, setting or habit? and I mean it's no big deal, but for anyone reading this who is new to Tumblr since the big influx: if it was a comment I added to the post thats one thing to just reblog, but when it's in the tags it looks like you're the one writing it bc theres no source for them. That's why ppl started using "#prev tags", which...also isn't ideal tbh the traditional tumblr thing is to screenshot the tags and post and be like "WHYD YOU LEAVE THIS IN THE TAGS!!" (But a "lol/aww/wow look what ____ added" would suffice) but also I know I personally avoid adding to a post unless it's really important but honestly...YOLO amirite??? But anyway, i feel for most ppl tags are intended to be personal commentary when not used for organization, rather than like a shareable addition to a post. Theyre meant to be like secret lil messages without interrupting the flow of a post?
...Unless your dad also got you an entei card off ebay in which I apologize 🙏
(also hi if you read this I'm not mad lol I was just caught a little off guard lol! Ive been on tumblr over...ten years? So the feature of copying tags is weirdly new to me except outside of Xkit and I've been seeing it happen a lot so it's not even just you. I'm sure it was unintentional and im sure youre a cool person!!)
#dullblogging#long post#i may be wrong on my newer tumblr ettiquette#but this is how i feel on it as a ten year tumblr user...oh god its been so long#but also wanna emphasize that im not mad its not a crime lol!! its ok but#a little odd in the tumblr world

Saw your post about where the TGM fandom is and if you're using Tumblr correctly.
I have been on this hellsite (affectionate) for twelve years now so let me share my hard earned knowledge with you:
The first thing you have to remember is that your main dashboard has absolutely NO algorithm. Tumblr does not fill your main dashboard with things it thinks you'll like, you have to find your own. Which means everything you see on your dash is totally dependent on who you follow and what they post and/or reblog. Because people will only see your stuff if a) they're following you b) someone they're following reblogs your stuff or c) they come across your stuff when searching through specific tags. Basically, unlike almost every other social media app/site, likes do absolutely NOTHING for engagement. In fact, most people use likes as a way to save something to read or look at later (that's I use them 99% of the time).
Now for tags, keep in mind that only the first 20 tags on a post are used by Tumblr to make your post searchable. Any tag after 20 is you just shouting into the void because Tumblr won't use those. Lots of people also use the tags to add their commentary on a post they're reblogging so as not to clutter up the original post. And lots of people also use the tags to just shout out their emotions and feels into the void as well.
Some people are extremely methodical and super organized when it comes to tagging their posts, while others either don't tag at all or tag randomly and haphazardly. It's also common for people to have a very specific tag for specific types of posts to make it easier for people to both search and/or block certain types of posts. Examples of those would be people having a specific tag for when a post is about their personal life or using a specific tag for posts that are just about writing or tagging all ask answers with a specific tag.
Also keep in mind that reblogs don't show up in tag searches, only original posts do. But it's still a good idea to tag anything you reblog since people can search your blog for specific tags. Another thing to remember about tags is that anyone can see what tags you use on a reblog (you can sort the notes on a post to show you just reblogs w/comments & tags).
And if you really like someones tags on a post you want to reblog, feel free to either copy them into your reblog or take a screenshot of them and post that to your reblog. Doing so is very common and seen as kind of a badge of honor on Tumblr that someone thought your tags were good enough/funny enough to make sure more people see them. Common things to add when doing so are phrases like "why are you hiding this perfection in the tags?" or "you can't just say that and hide it in the tags". It's also common courtesy to tag the person whose tags you're sharing.
It's also common courtesy that if you want to rant about something you don't like you either a) don't use it's tag or b) tag it as anti-X. For example, there is a ship or fandom you don't like and you decide to post a rant about it. Don't tag it "ship name/fandom" but instead tag it as "anti-ship name/anti-fandom". That way your negative post won't show up when people who do like the thing are searching that particular tag.
Tumblr also likes to be really weird sometimes and randomly hide posts from tags for no apparent reason. And since people from all over the world use Tumblr, sometimes you have to post things at different times of day for more people to see it. It's not uncommon to see someone reblogging their own post with a tag or comment that says something like "reblogging for the morning/evening crowd".
Just remember that for the most part Tumblr is a fun and unique corner of the internet. Hope all of this helps! ☺️
Oh wow this is a chunky one I feel like I need to take notes.
So I need to follow people I think are funny, tell people they're funny, show I'm funny, be nice and generally not a dick.
Shouldn't be too hard. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and cross my fingers??
Thank you so much for this lovely long tell, I cannot tell you how much it means to me!!

For anyone who wants to help make Tumblr more accessible, but feels like that they couldn't contribute enough, let me reassure you that any little step you do can mean a lot!
Do you have low spoons and don't have the ability to scroll through the notes or write even a brief description? That's fine! just tagging it #not described can help a user know to block those posts and instead focus on the content that IS accessible. Heck, I usually like posts to check for descriptions later and go through those when I have more energy.
Your descriptions don't have to be perfect either! Sometimes people add things I missed to mine, or I don't know who a person is so I keep it vague, and that's okay! Even a basic description can help someone know if the picture is super important, just a reaction, or even something unrelated to the rest of the post.
I rely on audio transcriptions because I have hearing issues, and even just knowing a song is playing helps me know that I'm not missing something crucial just because I can't hear it!
Anyway, for anyone who was like me ages ago and was like "wow its nice people are making their blogs more accessible, but I couldn't do that much work" I assure you not only can you, but you can do whatever amount you are capable of and not have to worry about anyone looking down on you. This community is very nice and we will never think you did a bad job just because you keep descriptions short, or sometimes just reblog images without any caption.
Literally the only time I have seen this community complain about a description is when people put just wrong things, use chatspeak outside of quoting, or use text that makes it just as inaccessible. My biggest peeve is when people put commentary in subtitles and that is simply because all of these things hurt more than they help
If you want to make your blog more accessible, here's your sign to do it! Even if that just means trying to reblog descriptions and tagging anything that doesn't have one as not described. Even if the best description you can think of is "a woman clapping." And even if it means that you just not use colored text very often, you are helping! If everyone contributes a little bit that means there's a lot more accessibility in a very ableist world.
#long post#accessibility#I don't normally ramble like this here but this has been on my mind awhile#I just want people to know that any little bit helps bc I can perfectly understand all or nothing on being accessible#and that if you want to help there are ways without going all in#the spoons issue is one i have too and why this blog runs on a queue#when i have a good day i usually add a ton of posts to it and it usually lasts until I can do it again and keeps the blog active even if I#am too tired to check tumblr

Hey, I saw you reblogged a post that was like "me and my 12 followers laughing at my posts" or something and I totally understand feeling like engagement is low, but your perma taglist alone has 30+ people on it... so, like, what? I'm so confused 😭 Like my account genuinely only has, like, 15 followers, so I don't mean to be rude, but to me you are a big account lol (at least for this fandom)
Hey Nonny,
That was kind of tongue-in-cheek, just a commentary on how small we are now. I'm going to attempt to answer against my better judgment. And I hope I don't come across all asshole-y... and if I do I apologize, it's not meant to be. Everything is relative. I've never considered myself a big blog because it never reached the level of many others in the fandom. If it's bigger (comparatively) now, I think it's solely because I'm among a handful of people who have stuck around. But while I have never considered it "big" apparently, others did/do, so perception is everything. I'm quite good at diminishing anything I do, so, there's that.
I really don't check other people's notes, so I don't know what the average is fandom-wide, but I know the numbers/traffic, in general, is way down for everyone, and it's demoralizing at times. Many writers have discussed it and those who remain are TRULY in the "I write for me... and I hope someone gets something from this" stage. I joke that we're really a step away from being middle-school girls passing around a notebook in the schoolyard at this point. lol
Tag list size can be deceptive. There are always people that want to be tagged but then don't interact. I honestly don't even have 12 people that actively engage anymore... and that was just a lightbulb moment. Wow.
This is not meant to diminish anything or anyone. I'm incredibly grateful to any and everyone who supports my work. I'd never be one of the writers who vanishes because it's not enough. To me, that's always said "Those of you who support me don't matter." I'm grateful that, while I don't have a lot of interaction, some of the people who do are passionate. I'm grateful someone still cares enough to send me awesome asks about my characters. I know that, for the size of our fandom, I'm very fortunate. I'm very grateful for that, and I don't take it for granted.
Still, the overall vibe is just a little sad today as we dwindle. As we do our holiday stuff, I'm left wondering... will we still be here next year? If the fandom is still standing, I think it will look/feel very different.
I hope that wasn't asshole-y.

THE 1.3K CELEBRATION!
Wow!!! Less than a month since I hit 1.2k and we're already up 100 followers! So, I have to say all this again. I'm literally so so so grateful for all my followers and ESPECIALLY the ones who send asks and reblog my posts and interact, you guys are the best 💕💕. I literally never thought I would get to this many followers on a dumb blog I made just to share my little stories about hockey. But here we are.
This time around, I'm gonna have a whole week scheduled out, with each night a different theme. You can send asks about each night in advance but I'll answer them on the specific night!
C E L L Y N I G H T S (AUGUST 03--10)
💤 sleepover night (08/03): let's just chat about some stuff, fashion, makeup, our crushes, our jobs, school, even hockey if you want to! We can also do little also games like FMK (fuck, marry, kiss, but you can chose the three options), make me chose between two players, stuff like that!!
🤔 headcanon night (08/04): send me hcs you have about players! I'll add commentary to them or even give my own at times, but you run the show! Fluffy, smutty, or just general! Anything you want!
😍 appreciation night (08/05): tell me about your favorite players! Doesn't matter if I know them or not! I wanna spread some appreciation!
🥰 appreciation night pt. 2!!! (08/06): send asks about your favorite blogs and write them a cute lil message and I'll tag them! Let's share some love!
🫂comfort night (08/07): send me a line from this list and I'll write a comfort blurb for you. You can also specify a specific topic the blurb can relate to. Dont send anything too triggering, just some light angst that has someone comforting you, but I'll tag all these with TW to be safe
I promise, no one will ever hurt you again.”
"Do you wanna talk about it?”
“You’re not going to lose me. Ever.”
"I know it hurts, baby."
"Listen to my heart, okay?"
"You want me to tell you a story?"
"We'll get through this one."
"Is it too bright in here?"
+ might add more on that night!
👀 sneak peak night (08/08): I'll post an updated list of all my wips and you can ask me about any of them, including long passages from each!
✨ moodboard/header night (08/09): send me a player and a theme and color scheme if you'd like and I'll make you a cute mood board or header image (for your blog or a fic! You can also tell me if you'd like it the normal squares format or something funkier
🥵 smut night (08/10): send me one of the blurb prompts from this list and I'll write a lil steamy thing!!! You can give as little or as much detail as you want in the request!
"Babe, it's the middle of the night."
"We shouldn't, not here!"
"Louder."
"I'll guide you."
"Just focus on me."
"Don't test me."
"You look good enough to eat. In fact..."
"You're not wearing anything under that, are you?"
+ might add more on that night!
Once again, thank you all so much for hanging in there with me and actually sticking along for this mess. I saved these celly nights until after my very last day of work so I can focus solely on finishing asks on those days! I'll post more in depth "rules" on each night. Feel free to start sending things, but make sure to label your asks with the enoji or date for whatever night you're sending it in for, just for my sanity, thank you!!!!
🌸🌷🌺🌹🌻⚘I LOVE YOU ALL⚘🌻🌹🌺🌷🌸
Going through my mentions and tagging people who've tagged me in appreciation stuff in the past cause idk who considers themselves my friends anymore but ily all anyway: @fallinallincurls @dembenchboys @josthours @joekellys @yeahisupporttheleafs @probablygraves27 @bb-nhlqueen7 @matbaerzal @andreburakozy

Day 100 Blog Post
Hi guys! Wow it's day 100 already? I am honestly surprised that I was able make it this far. It is really thanks to all of you and your enthusiasm that has encouraged me to maintain this space.
Under the cut is a bit of a Q&A and other general notes I wanted to put out there
So what is the secret, hidden agenda to Emojiturtledaily?
I made this blog about three months ago after discovering the Google Emoji Kitchen on my phone. I was entranced with how many combinations existed and how silly some could be. As I worked my way through the emoji keyboard, I was absolutely smitten by the emoji turtle. I decided I wanted to share him with everyone, and started this blog.
I was delighted by how other people reacted and their cute comments in the tags. This encouraged me continue filling out the queue for posting. It also gave a me a goal: combine the turtle with every emoji, regardless of whether or not there's a pre-made one already. To ensure I separate the turtles I personally made from the others, I gave them the tag #handcrafted.
So how are things moving along?
As of a couple weeks ago, I have all of the pre-made emojis in the queue. It currently stretches for about another three months. As you may have noticed, I try to post handcrafted turtles at least once every five days, sometimes with bonuses thrown in. I hope to soon start posting handcrafted turtles around every-other day, and eventually they will likely be the daily post.
What will happen when you run out?
I am not completely sure yet. If there is still an active interest in this blog by then, I have a couple ideas. I might start going through posts and reblogging them with a small commentary added. I may also start making combinations using the designs of other emoji keyboards. I also could start focusing on triple combinations, which would make the possibilities almost limitless.
Submissions and requests
As you probably noticed by now, I accept requests and submissions. I post submissions from the week on Saturdays, usually at 4:00pm CST. If I actually get multiple in a week, they will be spaced 30-60 minutes apart. I also edit the description and tags to match the blog's format, but work with the creator to make sure their intent is accomplished.
I generally accept all requests, but I really just use them as inspiration more than a must-do. If I like someone's request, and immediately have an idea on how to execute it, I tend to post it same-day or schedule it for the next handcrafted day. If I'm unsure on how to proceed with something, I screenshot the message and mull it over. If someone requests a pre-made turtle, I generally show them what it looks like and ask if they want an alternate version. As a side note, if you want to request a turtle monthly and ensure I make it, a section further down may interest you.
Charities
In the past, if someone asked if I took donations, I would decline since the majority of the blog was just a curation of pre-made turtles, and link a few charities/foundations they could donate to instead. Here those are below, I am sure they would appreciate your support:
https://seaturtles.org/
Through personal experience and/or research, these appear to be trustworthy organizations focused on doing good. If I misjudged any of them, please let me know.
Support
Since this blog is trending towards containing at least half of my own creations, and my financial situation recently changed, I have created a Ko-Fi and Patreon. These sites are not only for turtle emojis, they are to also encompass all of my creative pursuits. My Patreon does have a Turtle Blog specific tier, if you are interested.
Art Blog
If you would like to see the other things I have made, my art blog is @caelscrafts. In the past I hadn't been consistent with posting things I work on, and hopefully starting fresh with that blog will help. I currently have projects I finished over the last few years queued on it.
Thank you all for your support, and I look forward to the next 100 days of turtles!

Ok so you do The Writing Activities do you have any tips/advice/posts/resources for someone dealing with low self-confidence in their writing?
oh man I sure do The Writing Activities!! sorry though that you are dealing with that. I struggle with feeling like that a lot too!
as for advice and stuff, everything below has been helpful for me personally - can't guarantee it will work for everyone, but maybe it's a place to start for you! (tell me if this should be under a read more??)
1. Don't compare yourself to others.
I fall into this trap a lot when I read someone else's writing and I think like "wow I will never be as good as them and my writing is baby garbage compared to theirs" but writers don't share their work for others to think like that! They share because they are happy and proud of what they're written. It's good to remember that sure, maybe my dialogue isn't as great as this author's, but I do this, that, and the other thing pretty well so it's okay. You are your own unique person with your own set of writing skills and style, and that's wonderful!
2. Find a beta reader (or adjacent type person).
Betas are great but I'm a secretive little clown so I don't use them that often. If you're really struggling with a certain section, scene, fic in general, find someone you trust and have them read your work, then ask for specific feedback. Did this conversation make sense? Does this paragraph flow well? Are these characters acting like themselves? And don't be afraid to say like "be nice in your criticism" like just because it's criticism doesn't mean that it gets delivered in a cruel way. It shouldn't ever if it's a valid critique. Anyway, having someone else's eyes on it can help figure out where you might be stuck both in the writing and also in your own head - it's your own work so you're likely to be pretty self critical of it! I notice my own mistakes and think how I'd rewrite certain parts all the time.
3. Write for yourself!!
Write literally the most self indulgent story of your life if it makes you happy! It can just be your forbidden little secret and never see the light of day if you want but it can be a fun exercise! There's no pressure and it's just meant to get out of your own head again. I am also a big fan of writing jokes or silly references just for myself in my writing. If others think it is funny then good great but as long as I made myself laugh, that is all that matters. I'm spending time on it so dang it, I want to enjoy it!
4. Reread nice things about your writing.
I am assuming that you've shared writing before with this one. So if someone leaves a particularly nice or funny comment, or reblogs my chapter link with commentary in the tags, you bet your butt I am screenshotting that so I can look at it whenever! Sometimes I just reread comments on my fics to see what people liked about it, and it gives me a boost. It's good to have handy reminders that people like your work - and randos on the internet wouldn't lie to you, ya know? If you haven't been publishing much, you could send it to a friend and just make them liveblog it as they read it or leave comments in the google doc. Gotta be a good friend though lol
5. Read other books/fanfic to see how they do it.
When I started writing fanfic as a wee teen, I tried to copy directly the author's style of the series I was writing for. That has now morphed into my current style. If someone is traditionally published (usually lmao) they are considered pretty good, so you can see how they've crafted their story, their style, their characterization, etc. If you like how they handled This Thing, you can mimic it in your own writing as practice. Over time, you can develop your own style and skill, as well. (But don't get discouraged or compare yourself to them!!!!)
6. Fake It 'Til You Make It.
Literally as this question came in last night, I was rereading my own fanfic to help put me to sleep (no shame) and I had said out loud, "I am the greatest writer in the world." Is this true? Yes. Saying that to myself is a lot better than self-deprecating/negative self talk by a long shot, and it made me laugh to be honest. The kinder and more patient you are with yourself can help a ton with how you feel about your own writing, and in general any skill. Tell yourself that you're working hard and doing great, and you can start to believe it one day :) (Because it's probably already true!!)
I hope this is somewhat helpful!! Sorry if it wasn't lmao. I can't think of any posts/blogs off the top of my head from others, but if I come across them, I can reblog them to this blog. I also got a writing blog @humorforwriting (wee woo wee woo shameless self promotion) that is mostly reblogs of advice, writing resources, etc.

i just watched episode 3 of odd taxi and when i got to the end it suddenly hit me that holy shit i think shiho is ichimura from the idol group that we got introduced to last episode... so i rewatched episode 2 to confirm, and wow, rewatching ep 2 actually made the ending of episode 3 make so much more sense??? i remember watching episode 2 and seeing that scene when yamamoto gets a call and something something mumbly mumbly about a dash cam and a taxi driver which I figured was odokawa, but now it makes sense why yamamoto shows up at the end of episode 3 trailing kakihana and shiho. this is definitely a trap to get info from kakihana or use him for leverage against odokawa.
i am so impressed with this show so far??? it’s atmospheric as fuck with great social media commentary but also honestly a kick-ass mystery with really fucking good foreshadowing that when you rewatch episodes you’re like OH? good shit.
also this screenshot:
those figures don’t look like animals and that really stuck out to me last ep
someone was theorizing on a forum that maybe none of the people are actually animals and we’re just seeing them as animals from odokawa’s perspective bc of trauma from his car accident as a kid or something and i was like
holy shit you might be onto something

Can you even imagine?????? Of all the rude and presumptuous things to demand like excuse me did you just make me an accessory to murder without my consent????!

after reading the theory about none of these characters actually being animals, I went back to episode 1 to see goriki and shirakawa’s reactions to odokawa calling them a gorilla and an alpaca respectively. in goriki’s case, shirakawa laughed quietly and goriki sighed and said ‘you’re not wrong.’ when odokawa called shirakawa the only alpaca around here, she burst into full laughter but otherwise didn’t respond. hmmmmm.

Not to still be on my total drama bullshit, but it hit me last night that Heather and Alejandro would 110% be drift compatible. They would be one-upping each other all through training and then when tryouts occur for pilot matching they’d realize that they’re very evenly matched and very much in sync and disgust would bloom bc no fucking way are they EVER going to be co-pilots, no thank you. They’re both condescending and arrogant and disrespectful of everyone they come into contact with except for each other, bc despite their respective derision for the other there’s a real respect there, and that makes them compatible when they’re literally incompatible with Everyone Else. Plus they finish each other’s sentences and know each other’s manipulative minds like no one else like. Bro.

in retrospect wenwu yelling at shangchi that he should have helped his mother fight rather than watch from the window despite shangchi being like eight at the time was 100% wenwu projecting onto his son and wishing he had been there to help fight but. i just imagine wenwu being 100% serious that an 8yo should have helped fend off trained fighters and lmaooo
