What fandom do you write for?

Cyberpunk 2077. No other fandom has compelled me to write. 

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes! I love getting comments and connecting with other people! And I wish people weren’t so hesitant about doing it more often lol. It wasn’t until I got into writing that I realized how important and impactful commenting can be. I used to be a giant lurker, but I try and leave comments everywhere now (even if people don’t get back to me, I’ll just keep sending messages in a bottle until you tell me to stop). I'm an introvert by nature, and understand the energy struggle with communicating, and have a history of getting burned a lot in social relationships, but it's great when people take the courage to reach out and chat, including myself. 

What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably So It Goes, but also all of my horror one-shots.

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Shimmer & Shine. I have a couple of other fics that end on high notes, but I think that one takes the cake.

Do you get hate on fics?

I’ve gotten a couple of odd comments, but so far have not received hate on anything.

Do you write smut?

Yes. I'm definitely in the Plot With Porn PWP camp though, and the smut I’ve written is buried in the confines of my long fic. Give me the deets, I wanna know why they're banging lol! I wish to feel the slow burn! (Maybe someday I'll get around to doing a one-shot...)

Do you write crossovers?

Nope. And probably won't unless I feel like doing a crack fic. Or something satirical.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but that’d be cool.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope. No one’s asked, I’ve never even beta’d… (Although, if you ask me to look for typos, I'm probably not your ghost.)

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

My all-time fav comfort ship is Saitou x Tokio from Rurouni Kenshin. The hilarious thing about this ship is that Tokio only got name dropped once and never actually appears in the series as a character. (The series is semi-historical fiction though, and technically they were IRL people.) A very small subsection of the RK fandom lost its mind when we found out Saitou was, in fact, married. This ship literally only exists because of fan works, and even though this fandom is like 20+ years old, I’m eternally grateful for the fandom creators that have made art of these two. But, yeah, they’ve been my ride or die since middle school.

What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I finish my WIPs. Do I have a lot of unstarted ideas for projects that I’ve shelved, yeah. Will it take me a couple years to circle back around to these ideas, probably. But I don't commit to starting projects if I don't see myself finishing them or if my heart isn't in it.

What are your writing strengths?

Outlining and action. I love puzzles, creative problem-solving, and choreographing stuff, and I think a lot of my real world skills, hobbies, and interests lend themselves well to doing both of those things. I do killer environmental and sensory descriptions as well. I dunno, my writing is just very tactile lol.

What are your writing weaknesses?

My understanding of grammar and punctuation is horrible. I abuse the crap out of both, largely preferring to vibe/sound it out, and sometimes refuse to adhere to standard conventions even if I know what I’m doing is wrong lol. I also feel like I can be too verbose and over write at times. I just want to include all the details, and I frequently wonder if it's too much or if people get bored. Haven’t gotten too much feedback about that, but it's definitely something I’ve had to grapple with as my writing has shifted and evolved.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I still haven’t fully settled on a good way to write different languages, and I’m kind of all over the map about it. And that’s on my to-do list of edits for SIG lol. But I feel the best way to do it is whatever way serves the story you’re trying to tell best. 

I’ve included Korean in Hangul and provided no translations, either in text or as footnotes, and in those instances, there’s usually enough context for the reader to kind of figure out what the conversation is about even if they don’t know what’s being said. And it might have just been me being lazy, but Korean is also accessible enough that someone could use a translator of their choice if they wanted to know. When I’ve included Central Pomo, though, I include translations in the notes section because, as a Native American language that isn’t widely spoken by many people, you’re going to have a very hard time finding a translation in general. Like I was lucky I was able to find the resources on Central Pomo that I did (y’know because colonialism and genocide) and it took me a couple of weeks of hardcore research to even find a reputable internet source. I do like finding ways to include in story context or translations, either through character dialogue or scene setting.

So It Goes. She's my baby, and I'm still fucking proud that I wrote and finished it. Before that fic, never in a million years would I ever have expected to write anything like this.

How many works do you have on AO3?

11. I was actually surprised when I checked. It feels like I’ve written 6 at most.

I started writing fanfic in 2013, then took a really long break from posting. I still wrote (mostly unfinished novel-length stories) and read a lot, but no fandom pulled me in enough to publish my own stories. Until JJK in early 2024.

It’s the tragedy, I think. It’s not that I want to fix canon, I love it for the pain it’s caused me, but I am strongly motivated to write happier outcomes for my ship.

Your top 5 stories by kudos/likes:

The Darkest Deluge - Kingdom Hearts series, Strifehart & Soriku, 123k words (unfinished, on hiatus)

This is a plot-heavy soft sci-fi story with a big cast and four major POVs. At first, I managed regular weekly updates, but then life happened and I took longer and longer breaks. I still intend to finish it. In fact, everything except for the final battle and dénouement is already drafted. The second my JJK obsession fades a little, I’ll sit down and finally get it done.

Born to Die - JJK, stsg, 40k words

My first JJK fic, a plotty, vaguely futuristic vampire AU. I got to play with very interesting themes in this one. I’ve promised a sequel and I will deliver, though I’m not sure when.

So far from you here next to me - JJK, stsg, 25k words

The first part in a magic realism/witch AU. I expected the series to get barely any traction, since it starts with the unresolved romantic tension tag. Each installment is a self-contained case fic, which is my favourite genre, centred around a theme. For this one, it’s grief.

Wisteria, sufficiently looked at - JJK, stsg, 23k words

Part 5 in the same series, themed around forgiveness. This is where the romantic tension finally gets resolved.

Unknown-C - JJK, stsg, 2k words

A silly, fluffy getting together fic. Technically canon compliant, but I’m always hesitant to use that tag when writing about a non-canon ship.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Every single one, and usually in a timely manner. I also try to match the commenter’s energy, so I’ll leave a long reply to a long comment, and respond to an emoji with an emoji. I want to make sure that each commenter feels appreciated and knows how grateful I am, but also, the reason I write and post fanfic is that I want to be an active participant in my fandom, to be a part of the community. The best way to achieve that, I think, is to interact with people.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

There he is, happy - it’s a canon compliant stsg fic with the MCD archive warning 🤷‍♀️ Alternatively, it’s The Deep Well, but I’m not saying why.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I’m not sure. I guess Unknown-C is the most lighthearted. Aside from the two stories mentioned above, I haven’t written any properly bad endings, but I mean… I’ve been focusing on themes like death and grief. I can’t claim those are happy fics.

Do you write crossovers?

No. I just don’t find the idea compelling. I might do a fusion someday, though. Specifically, JJK characters in the world of Stardew Valley.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not once. I have a small audience, so the likelihood of getting hate is really low for me.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Since September this year, yes. What kinds of smut are there? I guess I’m not super interested in writing penetrative sex? I’m a switch/vers shipper focused on mlm ships (unfortunately; I hope to get hooked on a wlw ship some day).

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I sincerely doubt it.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope!

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Also nope. I’d love to try it, but as a discovery writer that plans primarily in themes, I imagine I would be horrible to work with.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Listen. I don’t have an all-time favourite anything (except maybe Assam tea, but I haven’t tried every variety out there, so this could very easily change). I go through phases, come back to old ships after years and years, and just generally follow my whim.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I have a bunch of WIPs for the early Assassin’s Creed games that I will definitely never finish. They are a decade old.

What are your writing strengths?

Plot? Despite planning in themes, I think my stories are usually plot-driven. I’ve been told my characterisation tends to be true to canon, though that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s strong… Oh! I think I’m good at echoing the original material in different ways, usually through AUs, to explore canon themes from new angles.

Also, worldbuilding. I mostly write AUs, so it’s kind of a given, but I think of myself as a worldbuilder first, writer second.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Action scenes are definitely one. I find the choreography of a fight horribly boring (to read and to write), so I tend to fast-forward through them.

Character voice. I’ve seen people do absolutely incredible things with POV characters. I want to be that good. I will probably never be that good.

Originality of structure, if that makes sense. I think fanfic is an incredible medium for trying out new formats, pretty much without any constraints. But even though I really want to do fun things with story format and structure, I end up falling into safe habits.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

It can be great if it serves a purpose. Sometimes, hiding information from the reader/achieving vibes over understanding is the goal. It can also be useful for settling the reader more firmly in the POV. But it’s the sort of tool that should be used very sparingly, or else it will become frustrating.

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

The Old Guard’s Joe/Nicky. Maybe when the sequel finally comes out? Also Arcane’s Silco/Vander. Unfortunately I can only do one fandom at a time, and I haven’t yet been released from my current obsession.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Oh wow. Hm. I’m gonna say Born to Die, because it was the beginning of my writing journey in a new fandom and it got me out of a fanfic writing slump that had lasted years. Also, it was my first, raw attempt at working through my JJK-related feelings, so it’ll always be special to me in that way.

4. is there an au or trope that you haven't written before, but would want to try?

Okay, I definitely spent wayyyy too much time overthinking this one (how much time do I have to have spent on an idea before it becomes an actual WIP? Do unpublished WIPs count as having “tried” the thing? How long does the thing have to sit untouched before it becomes abandoned? Am I really never coming back to that WIP? Maybe I should go work on it?). I definitely have a nasty habit of starting things I’ll probably never finish and a few of those are AUs/tropes I’d actually like to publish one day.

I have a harem AU idea I’d like to go back to (I think I freaked myself out by wanting to make it a Cornwell/Una/Pike and got overwhelmed). I also have two crossover time-travel stories I’d like to get down someday, one where Pike and crew get transported back in time to Hell on Wheels, and one that is a fun SNW-John Doe crossover with Christopher Pike/Jamie Avery where he wakes up in 2001 in Jamie’s shower. I’ve even thought about an accidental baby acquisition fic which is something I never thought I’d consider writing. But a trope that I’d like to do someday but have ZERO ideas for—which is probably closer to what this question is actually asking—is a forced marriage fic, but he’s actually a good guy. Who’s getting forced to marry whom? Don’t ask, I have no idea.

14. is there anything outside of your normal content that you want to write?

For some reason I also overthought this question too 🫣 (what counts as normal?) I’ve always wanted to write a fantasy novel but have no plans at the moment. I also then think about how hard it is for me to write a fic that’s even 30k, the current state of the publishing industry, and my insecurities as a writer and experience some major existential dread. But I guess that’s another thing I’d like to do someday: write a novel-length fic (I don’t count Love Lies Bleeding even though that’s 90k since that’s more episodic than a single storyline). I do have a slow burn Cornwell/Pike academy-era WIP that I think will be novel-length…someday, if I can ever finish it.

A measly 5. Yeeeeaaaah…I really need to post more stories more often! 😅 I’m more of an artist these days.

Luckily, I got infected by the writing bug this year thanks to my involvement in the F1 Big Bang fanfic event, so I hope that number will increase significantly this year. 🙏🏻

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 

18,354. Again, hoping for more.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Mainly F1. I’m planning on writing more fandoms I have an interest in such as Merlin, Good Omens, Our Flag Means Death, and The Legend Of Zelda. Maaaaaybe some Depeche Mode in the near future as well… 🤔

For comments in general, oftentimes, I read a fic that’s so god tier that I don’t have any or enough words to express myself. If that happens, I always make sure to leave a comment anyway - descriptive or not - that I hope would make an author’s day. 💖

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably Deep Tenebrosity. It’s a bit open-ended and left to interpretation though as it’s an alternative scene of an episode of Merlin I wasn’t satisfied with. I’m definitely thinking of including some more angst for future fics though. It’s my favourite kind of ending compared to happy ones. Not that I hate happy endings. I love them, don’t get me wrong, I just love sad and angsty endings more.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Miracles Happen. It’s definitely the happiest ending I’ve written so far. The rest of my fics have either normal endings or sad ones.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Nope! So far, at least.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

It’s not on AO3 (yet!), but I’m working on sneaking some smut into a few chapters of For The Sake Of Nature. 😏 It’s a long way yet though, so don’t get tooo excited. Shan’t spoil… 🤐

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I’ve never written a crossover before. However, I’m thinking of writing a Depeche Mode/IAMX crossover fic at some point. It’s still in the planning stages, so nothing concrete yet. I need to finish all my other WIPs I have stacked up in my hard drive first before I get too ahead of myself! 😵‍💫💫 You know how it is.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

I would really love to pitch an idea to fanfic websites to put a watermark or a copyright filter on your own fanfics, if it’s even possible. Maybe a certificate of authenticity of some kind? I would happily do that to every single one of my fics to prevent dirty thieves from stealing them. Please, make it happen!!!!

No, as far as I’m aware.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

For The Sake Of Nature, definitely! It’s a veeeeeeeery slooooooooooooooow process. I’ll get it done eventually! Promise! 😬🙏🏻

16. What are your writing strengths? 

I love being adventurous in my vocab when it comes to writing. I’ve read so many books and consumed so many dictionaries when I was very young, so that might have something to do with it. You learn a lot from reading books. From knowing how to structure a sentence, to how dialogue is written and where they’re appropriate to use, to certain language and behavioural ticks from characters, to describing unique locations and objects. It’s very fascinating and they help massively with my writing.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? 

The only thing I struggle with is not so much about the writing side of things, but it’s all about time management. As in making a plan of posting fanfics on certain dates and times and never getting around to doing it because of my usually packed schedule.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? 

I’m lucky to have friends on Discord and Tumblr who speak in their native tongues to help me out if I ever get stuck. I don’t trust the internet, so I rely on them for language authenticity.

Merlin!

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? 

Urrrrmmm…I don’t really have one! Though having said that, I enjoyed writing dialogue for Kimi in As Drunk As A Finnish Brown Bear! You can write absolutely anything when you’re writing a drunk Finn! Easiest job in the world! 🤣🤣🤣

🍇 Is there a particular scene/episode/book/etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?

For books, immediately Post Book 3 and during Riddle of Ages, as well as the cave scene (augh!). For the show, anything that takes place at Curtain’s happiness compound, especially the scene where Nicholas goes “catatonic.” This is my formal announcement for everyone to go read Cain’s Lament and to write a nice little letter to Gert in the comments section telling him how it destroyed your life.

🍑 If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?

Ohhhh baby there is a Frankenstein AU with Garrison and the Whisperer that I definitely do not have the emotional capacity to bring to life. The version that exists in my head is devastating though you’ll just have to take my word for it

Probably Into the Shining Sun? Even then, it’s angst with a very hopeful note to it. There’s enough angst in my real life; I like everything in my fics to turn out okay.

Anything outside of my comfort zone. I have a tiny little box I tend to stay in, and refuse to even try branching out.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

With the help of Google Translate, I’ve scattered some bits of Welsh dialogue here and there throughout Next Time I Fall. Apparently I got most of it wrong. So I don’t think I’ll try any other languages unless I’m actually familiar with them!

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Probably X-Files? And then there was that random embarrassing NSYNC stuff… we won’t talk about that. Those were all just scribbled in old journals, though. I never actually posted anything publicly until I found Ao3 last year.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

I think each one is my favorite while I’m working on it! But I think I have to say Next Time I Fall, because the response to it was so much more than I expected, and people’s engagement with and investment in the story has given me so much joy.

Never say never is my attitude, because ideas have a weird way of recycling themselves into new ideas. But MAN I have a lot of scraps of ideas that didn’t turn out. (Sad warning) I wrote a fic set a long time after Berseria where Rokurou has gone Full Daemon and has lost his humanity and Eizen kills him (if anyone wants to adopt that idea and write it PLEASE PLEASE DO for I am weak-hearted)

What are your writing strengths?

Unique and unusual descriptions, and a lot of people tell me that my characterization is on point.

What are your writing weaknesses?

IDEA BLOCK (I’m usually not the kind of writer who has a million ideas at any given time, and I know that comes with its own problems but also I’m jealous) and pacing (there’s a lot of stuff I edit out because I feel like it disrupts the pacing, but when I read it back, I’m like…nah it shoulda stayed in)

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet, but want to?

I’ve been so focused on original work that I’m not sure yet, but we’ll see where the muse takes me!

What's your favorite fic that you've written?

Academic Dishonesty. Even despite all the small things I would tweak about it, it has such a special place in my heart, it was a joy to write even when it was being a pain, and I still think of it all the time.

For the most part I think my fics are soft and hopeful.

I love responding to comments!! It’s a wonderful excuse to ramble about my writing and share my thoughts about my beloved blorbos with like-minded souls. Unfortunately, I am. Shy. I’m usually good at responding when a fic first drops because the sheer adrenaline/euphoria of finally posting something propels me out of my shell, but once that wears out. Help.

Uh. All of them? Aldkjfskfj okay, that’s a lie, but tbh it’d be easier to point at the ones that don’t have kinda bummer endings. I love me some angst. :3

The title for Angstiest def has to go to ‘friend make sense of me’ tho. Yowch.

Oh, ‘be my fictional obsession’ for sure. Although ‘strawberry soju' is a strong contender, ultimately ‘bmfo’ is simply Sillier, so she takes the crown. :3

Not really! Though I have toyed around with writing AUs in other settings, the most recent of which is a BBC Merlin AU, which, let me tell you, has been tons of fun, even if I’ll probably never get around to finishing it lol.

-- Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I was about to say no because everyone has always been so lovely to me, but then I remembered that one person who bookmarked ‘like sugar and cyanide’ only to call it ‘lame’ for being self-indulgent and not ending with EraserMic getting together. Which was kinda funny ngl, because, like, my guy. The Unresolved Romantic Tension is right there in the tags, and also I repeatedly dunk on myself for being self-indulgent in just about every chapter note, so like, move along, sister, this is not the fic you’re looking for lmaoo.

-- Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nope! Love me some innuendo and crass humor, but the most I ever see myself doing is a fade to black or maybe some vague allusion to the act (← see, I just did it), because it is simply not my cup of tea.

-- Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope, but I’d be open to it for sure!

Another no, though I’m not sure I’d be a good fit for it tbh. I’m a bit precious about my writing process. 😅

Oh god, this is a Question. I mean, I have to say EraserMic given how much of my (fan) life it has consumed these past years, even if I do have some complicated, and at times contentious, thoughts and feelings about it.

QPR MicNight is right up there, though! I have just as complex and much less contentious feelings about QPR MicNight, my beloved. <3

I have so many QPR MicNight WIPs, you guys. One of these days, I’ll even finish one. orz

-- What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

CRIES. ALL OF THEM.

Okay, non-dramatic answer is ‘as the mists roll in at midnight,’ which is a WIP I started and finished outlining back in 2021 (it even got a title!) and then never got past the second chapter.

It’s a sort of house horror AU, featuring EraserMic, QPR MicNight, unexplained happenings in the woods, and a haunted inn that just wants to keep you safe. I love it so so much that I kind of got overwhelmed by my love for it, and thus my need for it to be perfect, and now I fear I shall never get back to it. </3

The same is true for so many of my WIPs, if I’m being honest. Shout out to Midnight Time Loop AU, ‘a song for a song,’ and ‘you know i make you wanna scream,’ the latter of which is the reason I no longer post multi-chap WIPs. rip.

-- What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue and narrative voice. I get so many niceys comments on both, especially my narrative voice for Mic, which makes my heart do a happy dance every time. :)

-- What are your writing weaknesses?

Establishing and describing setting, unfortunately. The struggle to not end up with characters talking and introspecting in The Void all the time is real. OTL

Also there's the more technical stuff like my abuse of adverbs, em-dashes, and run-on sentences, as well as my point-blank refusal to kill my darlings at times, but I like to chalk all that up to Style, Vibes, and This Hobby is Supposed to Be Fun, Damnit, so we don't count any of that. :3

-- What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

No strong thoughts in particular, just the usual 'as long as it's done well' caveat. Though I do like when honorifics and such are sprinkled in here and there, hence why I tend to do so in my fic. I find it serves as a helpful reminder that these characters are Japanese, and thus hopefully helps to stave off some of that dreaded, inevitable Americanization of everything.

-- What was the first fandom you wrote for?

BNHA, which, let me tell you, came as a surprise not just to me, but also to anyone who knows me irl. I was famously Not Very Much Into Anime for most of my life. Go figure.

-- What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

BBC Merlin!

I watched (and was obsessed with) the show way back when, but have only recently gotten into the fandom, and good GOD has it been a struggle to not hop right in to writing fic for it, especially for Gwen/Morgana, my beloved toxic yuri queens. Only reason I haven’t is because I’m loathe to add to my already heaping WIP pile.

-- What's your favorite fic you've written?

Oof, this is a hard one.

‘strawberry soju’ has my heart right now because it felt like such a different undertaking than most of my previous work (it’s a 9k, non-linear, Aizawa POV one-shot! There’s actual kissing in it!) and also because I learned a lot while working on it. I didn’t have a real outline when I started writing, only a premise, one or two strong images of interactions I wanted to include, and several themes I wanted to touch on. It was a struggle working with such bare bones at times, but I'm glad I kept at it, because I'm proud of how much of the core themes and concepts came through in the final result.

However. If I’m being honest, my real answer to this question is the fic I wrote for Something Just Like This, an EraserMic zine I contributed to that is currently in production. I wrote that fic back in February, and it’s been absolute hell not being able to share it this whole time because I’m just so goddamn proud of it!! I won’t say anything else because I could go on forever about it and I’m contractually obligated to not spill the beans, but GOD I can’t wait for you all to read it. 🥺

2. if you could sit down and finish any completely new fic without anything stopping you (time, tiredness, etc), what would you write? tell us about it if you want!

Okay so today is my day for overthinking! (What counts as new? Is the idea I jotted down three paragraphs for a year ago now technically a WIP?) But a fic I haven’t put too much thought into yet that I really want to write someday is my SNW-John Doe crossover idea. It’s kind of a reverse Outlander where Pike gets transported back in time. He and Jamie (also played by Jayne Brook for those who don’t know 😉) get together while he helps her solve a homicide, and they help each other realize that they need to start living in the present.

7. is there a fic you wish you received feedback on, but didn't get any/much? this ask game is asking someone else to then give feedback on said fic, pretty pretty please!!!

One fic in particular that comes to mind is Dominus Regit Me, which was my sophomore attempt at writing explicit sex scenes and to date my only multi-chapter fic with no comments. It’s a collection of mini fics surrounding Cornwell/Pike in “Through the Valley of Shadows,” because she should have been in that episode. I still don’t think I’m any good at writing sex scenes, so that makes it easy to think that maybe no comments was the feedback (?), but I’m extremely proud of everything else in that fic, and actually, the non-sex stuff is more of what I wanted to share anyway. *Shrugs.*

13. do you have any writing projects/goals/plans you're working on/want to work on?

I have more projects than I will ever finish! 😂

But honestly my biggest goal this year is to scale back on writing. It is not going very well as I am completely overtaken by a canon divergence au at the moment, but as most of my current projects are longer fics, I am being forced to take my time—which is very healthy for my relationship with my stats page/inbox ☺️

Oooo! I’ll answer 6: if you were to write a part two/sequel to a fic, what fic would you want to write it for?

Somewhere, Indiana, a modern-day J/C au, was always supposed to have a second chapter, however that second chapter is explicit and I wrote the fic before I was comfortable writing even M-rated content. As I don’t write a lot of E-rated stuff, and would need a LOT more practice before adding onto that fic, I don’t think I’ll ever write it. But if I had the skills, I’d totally do it.

i think i can do a dialogue quite good but it’s hard for me to get into a zone or scenario where it comes to that naturally, but whenever it does happen? i’m super happy and proud of the result (that’s why i like my hitmen jegulus microfic so much)

probably that i’m not really good at creating a storyline/plot djskks that’s something that does Not come easily to me and probably one of the only reasons i havent really finished any of my big fics or even their first chapters. If i have a plan/ a prompt or something in general i can orientate myself off of it flows super easily (all the microfics and Ant Pile) but coming up with something of my own is very hard and i often feel kinda bad about it too :,))

would love to, i have some smol things planned for mira mi amor that i will probably go and bother @appreciatedmoron bea about as well as my two irl bsfs since they’re quite good at spanish but besides that i’d only really trust myself with german since thats my first language

8. Is there a story idea in your mental vault that you’ve never been brave enough to try writing? Is this the year? Can you tell us about it?

Ooh, let’s see…I’ve been kicking around a Johanna Constantine/Mary Poppins crossover fic since August or September, when I watched Mary Poppins for the first time with @dubiousdisco (hiii <3). I’ve been putting off actually writing it because Johanna is a relatively difficult character for me to capture, but there are one or two moments I have sketched out for the fic that I REALLY like, so I hope I can raise the rest of the story up around them. Eventually.

9. Short term goals…what do you hope to complete this week or in January?

Working on a Gaultienne getting-back-together piece! Also, if my self control fails me, I’ll whip up a drabble based on a Rose and Lucienne idea I had today.

I wrote a few prompt fills here on Tumblr that I think I want to post to AO3, but I’m still hemming and hawing trying to figure out if they’re good enough as is or if I should edit them some more before I post them. With luck, I’ll get that in order before the month is up.

20. Any plans to work on original fiction this year?

Nah. I haven’t written original fiction in a few years now. Maybe someday, but it’s not a priority for me at the moment.
