"IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOKE" As someone who's been playing TWST since march and stopped going out of my way to be spoilerfree after I got stuck at Overblott!Jamil? That's honestly been one of my favorite things about it - seeing something in fanart or a comment you think is just fans joking, only for it to be canon. "The economy!", "May I also throw a tantrum?", Malleus' gargoyle thing, and... everything about Rook being my top examples.

there's a whole bit in Trey's platinum birthday card where he goes on about how he became increasingly obsessed with mustard for like a week straight until the other students held an intervention. how are you supposed to talk about this. how can you bring up something like Trey's descent into mustard obsession to the point that the other characters are worried for him without it sounding like the most obvious lolrandom "he mentioned it once and now fandom acts like he puts mustard in everything" joke. also, how can I slip this into every Twst post from now on, because I need everyone in the world to know that this is a real canon fact about Trey "I'm just an average normal guy (who sticks my hands into people's mouths and owns 20 toothbrushes and used to eat flowers off the side of the road)" Clover.

for bonus points, 1) the punchline is that he still doesn't even like mustard that much, 2) he's saying all of this to Leona, and 3) Leona is actually kind of invested in Trey's mustard story for some reason, which is the most unbelievable part of all of this to be honest. (then Trey gets distracted by a painting of the Cheshire Cat and Leona takes the opportunity to powerwalk away to freedom before they can start talking about dijon versus spicy brown or whatever and extend this bit even longer)

My friend brought up the idea that Dazzle was still conscious as a Twisted (Glisten style) but is unable to express it because of Razzle and I went feral

I think the reasoning was because Dazzle looks in genuine distress and her teeth are flat while Razzle's are sharp. It could very clearly be a desgin choice, but that never stopped me

Led me into thinking about certain aspects of them with this HC

First off: Dazzle being unable to communicate to anyone. You can only speak so well with half a mouth. Also I feel like Razzle would quickly shut Razzle down is she tried to talk

(Twisted Razzle is a whole other can of worms)

Second: I think it would be neat that she's the one actually keeping Razzle "down," if that makes sense. Like, if she wasn't there, Razzle would be hostile to anyone who walked in his circle.

I dunno. I like Dazzle a lot and wanna make her special. Also the angst ideas feed me <3

please...... what are the rose colour stereotypes in rose knights...... how many colours are there....... please reveal the lore......

I was both looking forward to and dreading this question in equal measures. So! *cracks knuckles* Let's do a very quick, very messy introduction to the Rose Color stereotypes and Color lore! Lets start with the basics:

There are 7 primary colors Roses usually fall into - purple, pink, red, orange, yellow, white and black. How a rose becomes any color isn't an exact science, but the common character traits these colors have means anybody can look at a Purple Rose and think "Hm! You're probably confident in your skills" or glance at a Yellow Rose and assume "Bright and happy guy" with some accuracy. These are stereotypes, after all. They don't apply to everybody, but a good portion of them do.

But if we're counting the shades and flavors in-between all the normal 7 colors? You have A LOT of niche vibes and ways a Rose can express themself. And a Rose's color isn't static! It can change hues slowly over years, or radically change from 2 different colors in a matter of days or hours. What triggers a color-change depends on the individual and the circumstances they were in.

Extra types of Roses that fall outside of the usual 7 categories include Green Roses! Roses who are born Green (instead of White) don't have the magic ability to change color. The official stereotype tied with Green isn't so much a character trait, and more like an assumption that someone in your family tree must've been something "not a Rose".* (*Green Roses are guaranteed to have a Dragon in their family history) If a Rose is brown, the assumption is that they are dying for real or their mental/emotional health is a trashcan on fire. Roses who are trying to force themselves to be a different color might also turn brown- but it's more like their colors got blended and muddied together too much, confusing the Rose who's trying too hard to be something they clearly aren't comfortable being.

And of course there's Blue! The color associated with the Impossible, heroes, and prophets. Amongst other things that are high and mighty and have a of weight attached to them! No pressure whatsoever, Lapis. You've got this whole "Prophetic Hero" stereotype thing in the bag! SO YEAH. UH. How's that for an introduction into Rose color lore? Is this a good start? Grief there's so many ideas and lore floating in my head it's hard to pick what sounded important or relevant to your question. But hopefully you got something out of it! Thank you for asking!

Okay, okay before I get another ask/reply/comment about this (and idc if it spoils a bit I'm just tired of saying the same thing over and over)

No. Simon is not going to be the one helping the reader through her next heat. Yes, they have fucked, but heats are an entirely different level of vulnerability and trust and Simon is nowhere near being comfortable with that. Man can't even take his shirt off in front of the reader, why would he want that level of responsibility that comes with a heat?? She hasn't even seen his face yet.

the closer we get to arcanes finale the more worried i am bc so often .. if not always .. things i like end in a way that i dislike so much it ruins everything else for me

and im so worried they pull a 'this is a multiverse' thing bc then they can say every skin is somehow canon bc its all different universes you seeeeee and jayce went mad bc he lived through all of them or something, or force it to end in a way that makes the champions end up like they are in game- Vi is a shitty cop, Jinx is just heehoo craycray bc xyz etc
