No way but Lavellan developing sleeping issues since they don’t wanna sleep cause they know whenever they do there’s a chance that He might be there and for a time they can’t decide if that’s a good or bad thing but eventually decide no it is Bad very Bad he is the Enemy to the point that they will stay up for multiple days to keep away from the fade throwing back caffeinated tea by the pot like imagine the paranoia of an enemy who can spy in on and manipulate and KILL YOU thru dreams like whether Lavellan luvs him or not that shit is kind of spooky :///

I think, before the events of Pillars of Eternity and becoming Lady of Caed Nua, Sabina was honestly very envious of spiders whenever she encountered them. As an unwilling Drifter, she envied the spider's homemaking ability, and the fact that they could live their whole lives without leaving said home :(

what does your watcher think about the gods?

Gaura always had a weird relationship with them because of... mommy issues to put it simply, some she liked, some she loathed, but after finding out about their true nature she comes to see them as tools to maintain a world order envisioned by a loathsome empire. She still has some positive feelings to some of them as individuals, but she'll gladly see them all deposed (and/or destroyed) if it means bringing about a world that has the freedom to chart its own course rather than following the trajectory that the Engwithans determined for it.

also she's kinda sorta super anxious over the idea that Magran can eat her soul at any time she feels like it and that it's actually a tangible threat so there is also that

what is your watcher's opinion of iovara?

That's a tricky question. As far as she's concerned Gaura doesn't really know Iovara, she knows her cause and she supports that - but the Inquisitor did know her, she was her best friend and they had some unspoken romantic feelings that didn't come to light until Gaura's lifetime and that kind of complicates her own views on her.

Wulfrun - The Watcher of Caed Nua

"Wulfrun awoke to whispers at the edge of hearing and the mocking dance of ghosts in her periphery. Behind her laid the corpses of Heodan and Calisca, doomed to lie in lifeless anguish until the vultures sated themselves. She was alone again. Alone with only herself and questions, ancient questions, that would not make themselves known, staying just out reach as she shambled her way to Gilded Vale. . ."

i've never really had a set OC for pillars of eternity (shout out to @solas-backpack-mug & @ampleappleamble for getting me thinking about this). i've always just sort of played similar characters of different races and backgrounds and such. so here is my attempt at establishing my poor beleaguered little watcher. let's get to know her:

a pale elf from an aedyran colony in the living lands. she's used to curious and ill-mannered looks from strangers.

she never did quite fit in with the rest of the colony, spending her days reading and practicing swordplay - a necessity in the wilds of the living lands.

from a young age she could see and manipulate the wild essence that suffused the nature of the living lands. coupled with her arcane studies under aedyran tutors, it gives her a rare view of eora.

she grew tired of living on the frontier and set off for the dyrwood, a place she thought ought to be more tame (oh how disappointed she would be).

she is the type of person to do good works and shun recognition for them. she likes to joke that she's "cursed with compassion".

her frequent social isolation has made it difficult for her to form any lasting friendships. easy to befriend, hard to get to know. traveling with such a large party just might change this.

she gets along swimmingly with edér, sharing his penchant for deflecting with humor and petting any animal in sight. unlike edér, she is not inclined to pet orlans.

"no parting of ways can erase memories of times without worry, times when even without gods, we were never truly alone." finding out iovara was her sister in a past life and hearing her say this just about broke her.

she frequently takes time to journey to twin elms and breith eaman to speak with iovara. this is mostly to see her sister, but it is also so she can escape the duties of being roadwarden of caed nua.

i mentioned that already on another post but i need the da:dw protagonist to be beaten up by solas. i want to have to reload several times because he's that powerful. i want to see the protagonist scared to fall asleep because he might be lurking in the fade. i want to feel dread whenever i see him

Desta of the Kind Wayfarers

When she was young and still trying to find a place in Galawain's temple, she did make a genuine attempt at being a hunter...but she was pretty terrible at it. The poor girl's got no stealth at all!

Her very long hair can be a bit of a hassle at times, but she's given up on trying to control it- every time she cuts it, it grows back almost immediately

Her very high strength means she's great at picking up the party's squishy wizard and carrying him to safety every time he gets hurt in a fight. Her very low insight means she has no idea how flustered this makes him

Rudi Xavell

For the most part, she doesn't have any strong feelings about the gods. She just does what she thinks is practical, like giving offerings to Galawain before and after a hunt. Of all my Watchers, she's the least bothered about holy philosophy- if it works, it works, and it doesn't really matter if it's 'real' or not

Her favorite color is red, to the point where red capes and red-accented clothing becomes her signature look as ruler of Caed Nua

She makes her own arrows! With the focus required, she finds it to be a very meditative activity and it helps her clear her mind

Miervaldis Ygdin

He's really good at knitting and sewing! He learned this from his oldest sister, who was a tailor, and homemade blankets have become his go-to gift for friends and family (i imagine quilts especially to have a big significance in the White That Wends, and he gave his parents a special quilt as a going away gesture when he left home)

He uses he/him pronouns, but honestly he's very indifferent to the concept of gender in general

He has one (1) level in druid, purely because ice spells fit his aesthetic and i wanted an excuse to give him some
