Ask Sonata Dusk Update January of 2022!

((Hey guys! Sorry for the MAJOR inactivity on this blog! Again, just been:

Busy with real life stuff.

Dealing with real life issues.

Lack of motivation.

Doing other things.

Despite these things, I’ve still haven’t forgotten about this blog. So, you might be wondering:

Am I still interested in running this blog?

Well, it’s not quite an easy “yes”. I still question rather if I still should go through with telling ASD’s story. Again, Equestria Girls is over, and I don’t know if it’s coming back anytime soon. Also, many others who had EQG themed (ask) blogs (and EQG fans in general) have already moved on to other things too, except 1 that I know of (that I also really enjoy). However, I can’t let it go, not just yet. 

Even though my motivation and interest are at an all-time low, I still not ready to throw in the towel yet. Ask Sonata Dusk is a chance for me to make a fun, relatable and interesting story. It’s something that I love doing and what I would love to continue to do, IF there’s a least a little more interest. 

I do plan on making a post going into detail about this, but today’s post will have to do. Thanks to all the people who still continue to follow this blog and “Sonata’s adventures” on it lol I hope to maybe bring you new content soon.

I have and I follow it occasionally from reblogs on my dash. It's not a bad AU, but it is primarily Love Square, so that's a big turn off for me to even consider investing myself in it.

(Though I will admit that it's probably the only AU I can tolerate/accept the LS on.)

You know what I hate what Thomas is doing?

Now, I’m going to start by saying this; whether if you are a Chloe fan or not, Chloe was ALWAYS a brat and a mean person. I’m not going to deny that, and she DOES deserve to get called out on it. Being a bully is Chloe’s character. Whether if she was ever meant to get a redemption or not. THAT’S who she is, at least that’s what she was meant to be in the beginning. 

However, 

She DID have a least a little bit of development as the series progressed throughout season 2. She also at least has a little bit of redeeming qualities about herself. Yes, she was bad, but she wasn’t always. Also, people don’t change in one day, which could explain why she went back and forth with her attitude in season 2. It’s hard to change what you’ve been for years, especially if people have enabled you without consequence. 

However, the one thing that I CANNOT stand about S4!Chloe is that some of things that she’s doing now…she simply would NOT do. It feels so out of place and OOC now. I mean yeah, you COULD say that it’s because she’s starting to be taken off her high pedestal and she’s starting to lose things, but I don’t know. It doesn’t feel natural and feels more like bad writing.

You see, when Chloe is OOC, I don’t only mean “Chloe would never do that because she got development!”. What I also mean is “Even season 1 Chloe would never do that!”. Chloe probably did terrible things, but even SHE had her limits, with or without her “development”, despite showing an actual WANT to save people, to fix her mistakes and to actually WANT to improve for Ladybug, Adrien, and her mother. You’re not going to tell me that she never cared about anything else other than her ego and herself. I’m not saying that Chloe was innocent, but there’s just some things that even she wouldn’t have done.

Pushing a whole family in the way of an akuma.

Putting Sabrina in a closest to do her homework (and Sabrina actually going along with that AND completely dedicating her life to be Chloe’s guinea pig, but I digress). 

Only seeing her father as a cash cow and not actually loving him.

The show/canon making it VERY CLEAR on screen that Lila is most likely worse than Chloe.

Getting an UBER FIT over a movie.

Hating EVERYONE (including Adrien, her father and even her own sister) for just simply not getting her way.

Wanting for Adrien to be kicked out of school so he won’t have no social life, only being with her (it’s not even for HIS benefit, it’s more for HERS).

Managing to get her own sister kicked out of a special event, despite ANDRE HIMSELF getting development!

And I know what your thinking, she probably would of did half of these things at some point, but only IN SEASON 1! It’s just…dumb. SO dumb. 

Yes, Chloe still did awful things, but not like this. She GOTTEN development, so she shouldn’t have even said or did half of these things. Anything bad done to Chloe at this point is just there to make her look worse (or to make Zoe look better, even though she has no real development or depth yet). 

The point is, what makes me mad about what Thomas is doing is that yes, Chloe was a terrible person, but she DID have redeemable qualities and tried to change, even if it was at least a little bit. But now this dude wants to throw it all away and deny any of the development that SHE DID have ever existed (or even switch it all around to make Chloe worse than she actually is) just because of his own experiences or whatever🤦‍♀️ Yes, some people don’t change, but the way he and the team handled it was NOT GOOD.

If you’re going to sell us on the fact that Chloe, a 14 YEAR OLD teen/child, was always meant to be a horrible person, that she “isn’t human”, then:

DON’T GIVE HER REEMABLE QUALITIES (and yes, I know being a terrible person and having nice moments every now and then CAN coexist in someone, but it’s the way you HANDLE IT).

Do so while NOT making it SO OOC that it’s noticeable.

DONT GIVE HER A MIRACULOUS!

Seriously. This is crazy, and I don’t like it at all. I hope season 5 will do some closure for the girl. She’s just a teen. I KNOW that her upbringing isn’t an excuse for her actions, but still. Chloe has so much wasted potential (AND this is coming from a Marinette and Sabrina fan, the biggest victims of her bullying) 🤦‍♀️

So what if… Chloe discovers a love of baking through Marinette, and starts working/training with Tom and Sabine on evenings/weekends and finding confidence in making less of an effort to look Bourgeois. Meanwhile, Audrey picks up on Marinette’s talents and keeps trying to corrupt her into becoming her apprentice and lookalike until Chloe saves her.

That’s one heck of a Chloe redemption story if I’ve seen one! 😂 Anything’s better than canon at this point.

Well since this has been on my mind for a while now, and clearly I have too much time on my hands (lmao, jk), here you go guys! A little AU treat!

This AU is called The Lucie Lapine AU! aka The Redeemed! Future Chloe AU! Created by @miraculousbeezcentral , inspired by @a-chlolix-blog !

This AU is similar to canon. However, instead of a Future! Alix/Bunnyx appearing in Timetagger, a beautiful, redeemed, 23-year-old Chloe Bourgeois stands before the young teens.

Her miraculous consist of a beautiful golden pocket watch with a diamond-like design, and a diamond in the middle. It’s highly based on her wedding ring.

Chloe has really matured. She wears her hair out now, followed by a knee-length yellow skirt, a white silk blouse and white heels.

She has a nice and motherly vibe to her, but don’t get her mad or mess with the people that she cares about. She WILL end you. Don’t mess with mother hen.

Chloe and Fluff are a nice duo. Though Fluff is over the top at times, it’s nothing that Chloe can’t handle. She’s been through WAY worse as the rabbit miraculous holder and Chloe Bourgeois. Speaking of…

With the help of Fluff, Chloe transforms into the time traveling rabbit themed superheroine, Lucie Lapine!

It’s also very convenient for Chloe to carry carrots as Fluff’s charge up food, considering Chloe eats salads all the time.

Of course Alix is surprised, yet smitten for the time traveler 😊

Ladybug is lost for words (yet is happy that there’s hope for Chloe to change her ways).

Chat Noir is happy to see that his friend developed into the strong, kind, brave and beautiful woman that she is in the future! He knew that Chloe could change for the better!

Future! Chloe/Lucie Lapine supports Minibug all the way. She knows all of the hardships that she will go through in the future.

Yes, Ladybug has made a lot of mistakes in her youth, but who hasn’t? It’s nice for Future! Chloe/Lucie Lapine to teach her that lesson, considering that Ladybug taught her the very same thing in the past 😌

To hell with Chloe being the future Hawkmoth. That theory is 101% debunked now that we know Chloe is redeemed in the future!

Hi! I'm a Chloenette Shipper, and I was wondering what your thoughts on what a relationship between Chloe and Marinette would look like. (I genuinely believe they have better chemistry and the possibility of a healthy relationship than Marinette or Adrien do. Don't get me wrong, I like Adrien and Marinette both, but I do not think they work as a couple.)

I basically said my opinion on Chloenette here.

However, to make it short: I wouldn’t mind a relationship between Marinette and Chloe as long as it’s done right.

There needs to be healing, and I don’t want a relationship that happens out of nowhere and just ignore all the years that Chloe has bullied Marinette just because “she had a crush on her”. I don’t want enemies to lovers. I want enemies, to hesitant friends, to friends, THEN to lovers. and I think it’s ok either way if Marinette helps Chloe redeem or she does it herself.

Again it’s all just based on how well it’s written. In fact, I’m in the process of making two post related to Chloenette in the future. So look forward to that in the future! 😊

I support and want a Zoe and Sabrina friendship SO MUCH because of the potential it could’ve had for both of the girls’ development and characters IF they really want to go through with the whole “Chloe’s the real villain” thing. If Zoe really has a problem with how Chloe treats people and how she treats others, if Zoe is such a nice person, then won’t she start with trying to convince Sabrina that she matters more outside of what she can do for Chloe? Won’t she try to talk to Sabrina or relate to her? Sympathize with her, empathize with her, spend time with her, get her out of her shell? Tell her to get out of the closet??? Take that any way you want to lol

That’s one of the problems that I have with the show when it comes to Sabrina. Nobody ever reaches out to her and it pisses me off all the time 😤 I bet if that was any other character (even Chloe, Lila, or EVEN FREAKING GABRIEL), then people will be all for the “giving people a chance”, speech. I may have given Chloe a little more benefit of a doubt because of her creator, but it means that I have, that doesn’t mean I don’t think that the treatment of Sabrina is right and that I still don’t like her.

Sabrina deserves better than that. Both Sabrina AND Zoe does.

Chloe is a bully.

They might drive each other insane.

Again, Chloe needs to work on her self before getting into a relationship.

Pros

Alix seems like one of the few characters who can handle Chloe.

It doesn’t seem like Chloe bullies Alix too much if not at all.

It’s a good chance that Chloe’s into assertive people.

People theorized that Chloe and Alix has a history together along with Sabrina, since in the concept, Chloe, Alix, and Sabrina were meant to be a friendship trio. 

Popular girl x Jock trope.

There’s a chance that Chloe might have a soft spot for Alix. It seems like she treats Alix a bit differently than other characters in the show. It could be possible it’s because Alix isn’t putting up with Chloe‘s bullying, but still. There are other theories.

Again, there’s a theory going around that Chloe has a crush on Alix.

My personal opinion, but I really like what @a-chlolix-blog does with the two.

Seems like Alex gets a lot of kicks from Chloe (Queen Banana, Reverser etc.).

Conclusion

Like many Chloe pairs, they have a nice premise and potential, but it’s about the execution. 

Afterthought

Thomas has no idea how many golden opportunities that he’s throwing away. Chloe redemption, Chloe shipping, just…a lot honestly.
