OKAY SO. Weird crustaceans alert. The humble squat lobster is sooo cute and looks like a weirdo little baby thing so Daisy is the annoying little sister to Lenny. Squat lobsters are actually crabs! She's really only along cause Lenny has to watch her as his parents said so. She kinda sits in the middle of the court and grabs the ball with her hands and plays keep away. Lenny is a little awkward and is very self aware of his height. But when he becomes one with the ball he kinda forgets about that and just plays to his advantages. He gains a lot of confidence when playing, and is kinda the reason this group banded together. Ebi and Cherise are both sisters and they couldn't be more different. Cherise will immediately determine your weaknesses and exploit them to hell and back while Ebi will tiptoe around non-existent eggshells in every conversation. Cherise is CUTTHROAT Ebi is scared all the time. Don't let Cherise's blue eyed white girl stare fool you. She is actually looking into your soul. Carlos is OBSESSED with sports like his dad. The jersey he has is actually his dad's and doesn't fit him well. He's pretty chill all things considered, and isn't super competitive. He's more into sports for the strategy and teamwork aspect than anything. Watching sports to him is like watching bacteria under a microscope. Mittens is happy go lucky and a big softie BUT. In sports she goes from "YAY FUN AND HAPPINESS!" to "I will kill you so I can win." She is said to be "Scary" and "Intense" by her friends, which the parents think is silly cause like. There's nothing in her head. But there is. And it's how to destroy her opponents. Do not let her play Monopoly.

They play over the weekends and all have their reasons to. Daisy is a package deal with Lenny and Lenny REALLY wanted to start a basketball group. Cherise loves being a little shit and saw sports as a great avenue to that. Ebi's in it to gain confidence but struggles. She's getting better though. Carlos gets to participate in his favourite show essentially and has a blast BEING the bacteria in the plastic slip. Mittens loves games and she is banned from family game nights this is her escape. Leo was born to Ronald and Yeona. He has never been the sharpest tool in the shed and that was clear from early years. He was slow to start walking, talking, you name it and he was last.

He wasn't the greatest academically and he was never even the greatest at sports but he tried his best there at least. He made it on the teams even if it meant some guys he was warming up the bench in his earlier years.. later on in school he actually did improve which shocked a few people.

He had no intentions of going to college but told his dad he was, he didn't realise he had to pay so when his dad confronted him on why he could never get a straight answer on where he was going or why he hadn't made any payments he eventually had to confess.

He is constantly up to no good and with that comes his many arrests for dumb things from even a young age like vandalism, fake ID's, underage drinking, stealing, fighting, breaking and entering, trespassing, drugs, you name it he's done it and been caught doing it. Of course his dad bailed him out each time.

Leo is a straight up party animal so his version of attending college was just going to all the parties with his friends.

With no job Leo doesn't exactly have much to do so he's waiting around on his friends being free, sleeping in all day, gaming and partying at night.

His dad was getting sick and tired of his son being a slob and a leach so when Leo called him up with his free phone call yet again, this time though for drink driving his dad refused to bail him out because he thought he finally needed to be taught a lesson. Leo served 6 months in prison for driving under the influence and is now fresh outta jail ready to continue his life and yet again party! Just in time for the Lake House!

Random thoughts about SOTUS episode 6 :

In this episode, Arthit is trying to prove that he can be the leader of the hazings and Kong just wants to take care of him.

I think this episode was really trying to give more information about the two main characters. It’s showing who they are deep down and how it can influence their relationship with others.

Firstly, we have Kong. From the beginning of the series, we have always seen Kong portrayed in certain light. I even wrote after episode 2 that: “Kong has good qualities: he is sociable, he is caring and he is also a nice person. In addition, he is not easily impressed of frightened. His self-confidence allows him to stand his ground and helps others.” He is the perfect picture of the hero in any stories. We knew so little about his weaknesses: he can't eat spicy food and he is a little bit too obsessed with Arthit. However, in this episode, Kong was showing his true vulnerability. When he was talking to Ple, one of his senior, he admitted he never really chose to be an engineering student and wanted to study economy instead. Despite feeling he doesn't truly belong in this field, he did his best to defend his fellow students, didn't spare any efforts to win the freshy day contests both in sports and in the star contest, but he is also working well in classes. Belonging somewhere is a fundamental psychological need. Knowing Kong still has insecurities doesn't make him weak, but it actually makes him a real hero because he is not only made a great qualities, but he is also someone you can empathize with. Most of us, we want to belong somewhere as humans are social creatures, even the most introverted. Kong is on a journey to find who he is and what he really wants.

On the other hand, we have Arthit. I remember when I first watched the episode 1, I had described him this way: “the very domineering senior who seems to get off when he can intimidate his juniors.” I was so wrong at that time about who Arthit really was. In fact, he is just a real softie who likes nerdy things and who is hiding behind the mask of the leader of the hazings. As the leaderhe can't show his true nature because, the hazings has one purpose: bring a sense of belonging to the freshmen and make sure they are a tight group who can overcome any obstacles they could face during their uni days. To be sure to get this result, he has to act as tough guy, but deep down Arthit cares a lot. It was shown several times since the beginning of the series. This combination is what makes Arthit such an interesting character. However, just like Kong, he has his own doubts and own battles to fight. At first, I didn't know why he was still doing the “punishment” Deer asked him to do. It seemed pointless. I wanted to understand why he was forcing himself to do it. I get it now. Arthit had to show the freshmen that if you really want to do something, you can do it, even in difficult conditions. It's also his way of showing himself he can be a good leader: someone who can inspire others. Arthit has a strong moral compass: his personal set of beliefs and values he wants to represent as the leader of the hazings. By doing this punishment he is trying to shine brighter and to be a role model.

Regarding Kong and Arthit's relationship, this episode was doing the classic “one step forward, two steps back, and let's do it again”. Last episode, Kong got the promise from Arthit to get something from him later. You would think their relationship would progress from here, but it is not exactly as easily as I thought it would. Of course, when Kong learned about Arthit still running laps under the rain, he ran over there fast to stop him. He didn't want him to get hurt or sick, but his care wasn't welcomed well by Arthit. He rejected his attentions and even threatened him. Arthit isn't ready to be vulnerable in front of Kong. I would even say, he doesn't like at all to be perceived weak by people who are not his close friends. Kong isn't yet part of his loved-ones circle. I really appreciate how Kong didn't let that incident stopped him from caring about Arthit. I think he is mature enough to understand why Arthit did it. He may have been hurt by his words, but he didn't really let that influence the way he would act or how he would think about Arthit. That's why when he got the opportunity to help Arthit by bringing him food or helping him do simple chores, he took it. Kong was even happy to be helpful and to be able to get to know Arthit more. All their bickerings (mostly coming from Arthit) look like flirting and I'm sure Kong sees it this way. He worries about Arthit and he wants him to feel good. Arthit can't really pretend he doesn't feel all these attentions Somewhere it is also touching him. Even if Arthit always first rejected his help, I think like everyone, he also likes to be pampered. He always ends up being shy around Kong when they are just together alone. This is one of his cute side.

It's so funny how Kong and Arthit always meet everywhere. This time they met outside, at a group diner. Kong was invited by Ple. He also met Ton and Pum, two other seniors who are getting married soon . They had the same numbers, but swap around and that's why people believe it was meant to be between them. It's like a gathering of two ID line numbers of students or ex-students. It was a bit cheesy, but I don't mind it. Quite the opposite to be honest. If it was destiny for Ton and Pum to be together, the shows implies it could also be the same for Kong and Arthit. This part of the episode is also the opportunity to learn about Arthit, other nickname, Ai-Oon which means “warmth”. So Arthit Ai-Oon is the “Sun warmth”. Cute nicknames for a man who tries hard to look tough, but who is inside a really nice person. It is very accurate too. I liked how Kong teased him a bit about it and Arthit threatened him again so he wouldn't say it to anyone else. I don't think he really has to worry. Kong is more than happy to know small details about Arthit that are not well-known. In this way, he gets to be close to him. Before watching this series, I had no idea I would find their conversations so interesting to watch. The slow development of their relationship is truly what makes me want to watch the next episodes. I also like them individually. They are both compelling characters and together they are even more interesting. I never was a real fan of slow burn romance, but I get the appeal.

The hazings are near the end and there is only one last event for the freshmen to do: the capture flag event. I believe we’ll know more about it later. The seniors also had trouble this episode to bring the freshmen to their usual annual initiation trip. They are trying to make the teacher accept the idea. Even if he agrees with them about how it is good to bring senior and junior together, he can’t accept it because of all the drama surrounding the hazings. Some of them want to do it anyway, but they are others who believe it’s better to get the approval. It would go against what they are trying to do, if they are still making the initiation trip.

Another event happened in this episode. Wad was attacked by other students and Prem saw all of this happened and stepped in. Wad and Prem never were really on good terms with each other. This small moment made me think if maybe they were the second couple. Is there even a second couple at that time? I mean we get used now when watching a QL series to have a second couple to love as much as the leads. I don't know if it was really popular before to have two couples. I don't think they will go that road, but it would have been interesting. I guess, it will just be the start of a good bromance between these two who always found a way to fight before.

I believe next episode will be about the flag capture event and maybe the initiation trip, or at least the beginning of it. We’ll see. Can’t wait to know what will happen next.

He's a very kind and honest guy with strong values and even stronger morals, and he tends to dislike those who don't. He's community oriented and very loyal. He is the younger brother to Arkansas, and the older brother to Oklahoma.

Outside of his indigenous languages, he speaks English, Spanish, French and Arabic fluently, and speaks some Mandarin and German as well. However, he knows how to sing in several languages.

He is probably the world's biggest music fan, lol. He's best friends with West Virginia and Kentucky; the three get together with Virginia to play music.

He has a deep southern accent.

He's happy to get down and dirty and is quite good at physical labor, but he simultaneously puts quite a bit of effort into his appearance. Whenever he is not doing physical labor, he's consistently well-groomed and neat.

He's very good at handling spices, and actually really enjoys spicy food.

He wears his hair in a ponytail in the city, half up when in the sticks, and fully down when he's at home or at a friend's.
