twenty-two and a recent graduate. he majored in law with a minor in public policy. his younger brother, lucerys, makes frequent comments about how boring it all must be, but jacaerys velaryon loves it. he’s following the family line, after all.

he took office at one of his mother’s law firms, a by-product of having a family in the affairs of state. however, the firm is actually headed by his mother’s aunt, rhaenys. his mother, rhaenyra is in the middle of an election, running opposite otto hightower—a man jacaerys is lax to admit kinship to.

on paper he’s an associate, in practice, he’s whatever his family and their board need him to be. he likes it that way—being dependable.

he has such a large family, even disregarding those somewhat estranged. if you asked him to directly place everyone to their respective titles he couldn’t, so he settles for the ease of endless uncles, aunts, and cousins.

his schedule is usually packed—so when he is free, he likes to spend his time well. his best friend, cregan, gets him out of the house most the time. an easy task since the stark family owns numerous ski resorts. a perfect respite from his life of public service, at least that’s what cregan says.

jace absolutely hates the media, not necessarily social media though. his instagram stories are frequently full of reposts or camera roll dumps, his twitter constantly active but he mourns public likes. he loves to engage with factitious headlines about himself and his family, to his mother’s chagrin. he’s blocked on all social media by the estranged hightower news, headed by his mother’s old friend turned step-mother, alicent. a topic the family attempts to gloss over when in public.

has a laundry list of fashion houses at his disposal. he went viral once for “mogging” in armani at his grandfather’s funeral. he drunkenly admitted after the service that he figured viserys would have deemed it a rather lovely suit, despite the occasion. mostly, he shares his uncle laenor’s love for couture, a man who is firm in belief that a bit of pageantry never hurt anyone. almost exclusively wears canali for everyday wear, a luxury his paychecks find no issue with fulfilling.

listens to every single book he 'reads'. his airpods are constantly in his ears but he rarely opts for music. he listens to the greats on repeat, or at least that's what he calls them—near constant loops of orwell and machiavelli. he has a guilty pleasure for brandon sanderson novels though.

jacaerys is embarrassed to have a chauffeur for any and all events with his family, but he does an excellent job at hiding it. he’s is chronically good at masking any signs of disdain. his family would tell you he’s perfectly agreeable— his brothers, lucerys and joffrey, know him better, can spot his muddled ill temper through anything. he can hold his tongue most of the time, far better than the rest of his family, but he’s known to have his moments.

on his own, he drives a aston martin valour. wrapped olive green with burnt orange accents. it was pricey, a fact his uncle corlys never ceases to remind him of, but he loves it. gave it a name and everything—vermax.

the only cousins he talks to regularly are the twins, baela and rhaena. they flock together during board meetings, three ideal images of the pristine image their family attempts to portray. he and baela are most like minded, so much so that the rest of the board jokes they’re reading each others minds.

on the opposite end of the spectrum, alicent’s children— aegon, aemond, and helena, are of much different minds. the eldest of the them is prepped to take over his grandfather’s media empire. a complete disaster waiting to happen given aegon’s incessant and very public bad behavior. jace figures the young man more of a puppet if anything. the second born is somehow an even worse case, behavior less public but far more… sadistic. aemond is known in well to do social circles for his vitriol, mouth constantly fixed to land a cutting blow.

the youngest, helena, is actually quite sweet albeit heavily reclusive. she’s the founder of several successful ventures, thrust into the spotlight at a young age. these days the most the public get from her is a monthly blog update—refined and well crafted—detailing a mix of what she learned that month and a few run-on sentences about insects. but she always finds time for him at their disjointed family events, no matter the animosity in the room. she’s one of his favorite people to talk to. jace swears that somehow, she always knows just what to say.

on sunday’s he winds up at one of his uncle daemon’s golf courses. am agreement he took up after the death of viserys. his uncle is lonely without his brother, and he’s never had to tell jace that for him to know it. jace is rather shit at the sport, but he’s found that as long as daemon has a drink in his hand, nothing will be commented on. sometimes luke will tag along just to gloat, his younger brother has always been at golf.

every christmas he takes his siblings on a hunt. just like their dad, harwin, used to. it’s gotten to be a big deal after so many years. his mother often reminds him, jokingly, that he is the reason their home has become the holiday stomping grounds. he’s replied back many times that at least that saves them from the hightower’s grounds, and their brutish security detail. headed by one criston cole, he’s has never gotten a good feel for the man—or the men under his command.

jace can’t fall asleep without some form of auditory stimulation. he blames laenor, always gifting a young jace pirated lullaby cd’s… for some reason. nowadays, he’s usually a listening to a history podcast before bed. never picky on the topic or timeframe, he could listen to the tales of the past forever.

additionally—jacaerys loves linguistics. if you looked through his search history you’d find the following searches: why do we feel different when speaking in a different language? / are there languages with no numbers? / what happened to the transatlantic accent? / “where did the word ‘cocktail’ come from?

he has successfully created and maintained a masked dj persona after a drunken dare in ibiza from rhaena. he’s booked a handful of gigs, all without his name attached to it. rhaena keeps it a secret, at the promise she gets to accompany him at her own whim.

jace has only ever publicly has had one relationship. he dated cregan’s half-sister for a few years, sara. sure he had to deal with his best friends griping for a few years, but he really did love the girl. they broke up due to their schedules, moreso, his schedule. he promised baela he won’t make the same mistake in his next relationship.

he never has trouble finding people to fawn over him, but he does have a horrible issue with committing. not that he wants to play the field or hurt hearts, but he truly believes no one will ever give him the grace he needs to feel secure in the relationship. he feels like he already has too much baggage, carrying his own and his family’s. at this point, he’d rather have a few hookups as opposed to being let down—jacaerys hates that the most about himself, above all else.

that’s why he so confused as of late. unable to seem get his mind off of someone—something completely unaccustomed to him. you’re fresh at the firm, relegated to coffee runs and still straight to the book but god—jace thinks you're perfect.

he didn't even fully grasp his fixation on you until asking himself why on earth he keeps volunteering you to sit in on his client meetings. he almost shutters everytime he remembers the stupid excuse he forced out after you dared to ask him why—"i just write so slow, and i don't want to miss anything." a lie. jacaerys could tune out a client for an entire session and still win a case, but he determined early he'd rather bask in yout presence instead. however diluted he must keep his feelings...

🎨 I feel like Ben is a very "anti-toxic masculinity" kinda man. He has and will call out his brothers if he sees some shady suss shit. He had MANY talks with Anthony about not having to always be all macho macho man. I genuinely think Ben is the only one (besides Kate of course) that can get Anthony about his feelings. I also feel like he takes great care in making sure Colin and Gregory don't grow up thinking feelings = weakness.

🎨 His favorite flowers are poppies, peonies, and carnations to paint. Like he loves the little details in these flowers. When you found this out, you surprised him with a big beautiful bouquet of peonies and poppies, and he nearly cried. A week later he hung up an original painting over your bed. (omg this is so cute)

🎨 As we know our sweet Ben is a man of culture, so I feel like this man has seasonal tickets to some form of the arts. Whether it be the ballet, opera, plays, or musicals, this man loves it all. He also has a ticket plug (litterly like a w33d dealer)

Charlastor Week - Day 7 - Free Day

 An AU where Charlie and Alastor are podcasters. 🎙️ This one has been percolating in my brain for a while! Plot summary under the cut.

Alastor is the OG overlord of true crime. Back in his college days, he and his roommate Vox started what would become one of the first ever podcasts. With Vox’s tech savviness and Alastor’s knack for dramatic storytelling, The Hazbin Radio Program quickly became the podcast playing in every commuter’s car, gym bro’s headphones, and office jockey’s earbuds. Focusing on crimes where the victim “deserved what they got” might be controversial, but Alastor’s jazzy interludes and old timey radio schtick add a certain kind of whimsy to every episode.

As Vox grew their dorm room recordings into a digital media empire, Alastor struggled to remain authentic in a world being rapidly consumed by social media and influencer culture. The two friends had a huge falling out. Knowing it would mean death for his beloved radio program if he didn’t stay, Alastor remained under contract with Voxtek Entertainment. Years later, his listenership is dwindling, his sponsors are dropping like flies, and his desperation is stronger than ever to finally break away and have complete creative control of his show.

Charlie has big dreams, a bigger heart, and a behemoth of a family legacy she’s trying to separate herself from. The Morningstar family name is synonymous with pain and punishment, as their network of for-profit prisons house nearly every incarcerated individual in the country. But Charlie refuses to let her rich and influential father buy her way into the industry. The Happy Podcast’s moderate success was due to her hard work, passion, and the secondhand recording equipment she bought with her own money. Like every amateur influencer, she dreams of landing a contract with VoxTek Entertainment. Not for the bragging rights or all those sweet endorsement deals, but because she truly believes that her podcast can inspire her listeners to be better people.

The Happy Podcast is a mix of self-help, advocacy, social commentary, and whatever else Charlie feels passionate about that week. This can sometimes cause a bit of controversy, like when her strong feelings about prison reform lead to an unhinged rant about why a recently imprisoned axe murderer “deserves a second chance” because “he was a good guy who volunteered at his local animal shelter”. Despite this, she still snags an invite to the annual VTE Summit and is hoping to get some facetime with the media mogul himself.

It’s at the VTE Summit that Alastor and Charlie meet. Charlie is as starstruck as she is charmed by the mystery man behind her favorite guilty pleasure podcast. Alastor finds himself instantly drawn to the bubbly young woman who knows a surprising amount about true crime. In a cesspool of wannabe celebrities and people who would sell their soul for a brand deal, she feels like the only other person who’s in it for the craft and the content, not the clout.

Be it fate, coincidence, or a bit of meddling on Alastor’s part, they continue to cross paths and eventually agree to help each other out. Alastor teaches Charlie the art of presentation and storytelling while she brings his technical skills into the 21st century so he can start producing his podcast on his own.

As the pair dance around their feelings and look for any excuse to spend time with each other, Charlie asks Alastor to be a guest on her show. It goes so well, he asks her to be a guest on his. Even their audiences can’t deny the chemistry between them. No one would have thought this odd pair of podcasts would work so well together, but the sky-rocketed ratings and influx of sponsorships speak for themselves.

They both are soon to get everything they always wanted. That is, until Charlie starts to wonder exactly how Alastor knows so much about the victims he discusses on his show.

Summary: You accompany your girlfriend while she babysits Jane, Ethan’s little sister. While the two of you wait for her parents to come home, Ethan and his friends, including your brother, walk in on the two of you.

A/N: AU where erica’s the babysitter for the morgans instead of sarah. Not too smutty despite what the summary might imply, they’re just kissing lol the girls and reader are in the grade above the boys. usually when i write the group, they’re all in the same grade but since reader is rory’s older sister, im making her, erica, and sarah in the grade above the boys

“Babe, I’m sorry, but I have to cancel our date.” Erica frowned as she broke the news to you.

“What? Why?” You whined in disappointment. “Erica, the fourth Dusk movie is coming out next week, and you promised that we’d watch the first three before going to the theater.”

“I know, Y/n, I know.” Erica sighed, equally as disappointed in the predicament you were in. Although she had basically renounced all things considered geeky when she turned into a vampire, the girl’s one guilty pleasure that she indulged in was the famous vampire romance franchise. “But the Morgans need me to babysit Jane.”

“Can’t Ethan do it? I mean, he is her brother.”

“They still don’t trust him after he and Benny let her wander out of the house.”

“Figures.” You muttered, before sighing. “It’s fine. We can watch the movies another day.” You put on a smile, now wondering what you would do by yourself on a Friday night. Erica grinned, kissing your cheek.

“You’re the best, N/n.”

“I know.”

Friday night came, and you found nothing better to do than lying in bed and being on your phone. You were in the middle of scrolling through social media when you got a text from Erica.

You smiled softly at the message, turning over on your stomach before replying.

Not much. How’s babysitting going?

The reply was almost immediate, probably due to your girlfriend’s superspeed.

Wasting no time, you jumped out of bed and put on your shoes and a jacket. Luckily, Ethan lived just two streets over, so it wasn’t much of a walk for you. You were especially thankful for this because it was a bit chilly outside, and you didn’t have a car.

When you reached the Morgan house, you barely knocked on the door before it opened.

“Hey!” Erica greeted you with a smile, hug, and peck on the cheek. It might’ve been a strange sight to anyone else to see Erica so affectionate. But she just liked you that much. “I finally got Jane to bed, no thanks to some people!” She shouted the last part over her shoulder for the boys to hear.

“Sorry ‘bout that!” Rory shouted back, looking over the kitchen island and down the hall. He perked up at the sight of you. “Hey, Y/n!”

“Hey, Rory.” You kicked your shoes off at the door and walked to the kitchen with Erica. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming over here? I would’ve come with you.”

“I thought you were asleep.” Rory shrugged. 

The five of you conversed a bit before being interrupted by a stomach growling. Specifically yours. It was then that you realized that you hadn’t had anything since lunch at school.

“How about some pizza?” Erica suggested, reaching for the money Ethan’s parents left her for food. “You guys can go get it.”

“Why don’t you get it?” Benny asked.

“Because I’m in charge tonight.” Your girlfriend replied, flashing the boy a fanged sneer. “I mean, I could go. But if Jane wakes up, you guys will have to get her back to sleep.”

Before you knew it, you and Erica had the house to yourself. Save for Jane, who was sleeping soundly upstairs. You sat on the couch, trying to think of something to do, before seeing your girlfriend look down at you with a smirk that said she was up to something.

“What?” You asked.

From behind her back, the blonde showed three DVD cases, and you squealed when you saw the covers.

“I realized I still had them in my bag when you said you were coming over, so I thought we could watch them.” She said while opening the case for the first Dusk movie, turning on the TV, and putting the disk in the movie player. 

After starting the movie, Erica sat on the couch next to you. You leaned into each other like two magnets, and Erica put her arm around your shoulders. 

As time passed, Erica slowly started distracting you. Unintentional, of course. At least in the beginning. Absentmindedly, she was brushing your collarbone with her fingertips. Her touch gave you chills, both because of her cold skin and the way her fingers glided over your sensitive skin. Every now and then, her hand would tangle with your hair and give you a soft tug or two.

Then, out of nowhere, you felt Erica’s lips press against your jaw.

“Watch the movie.” You whispered, even though there was no need to.

“I can think of something better to do,” Erica whispered back before locking her lips with yours. 

Although you wanted to watch the movie, you must admit this was a million times better.

Erica swallowed your moans as she gave your hair another pull before manhandling you to lay down on the couch. You giggled in surprise at the action before locking lips with her again. The movie became background noise; all you could focus on was Erica, her mouth and her wandering hands specifically.

Erica lifted her head, smiling at the sight of you trying to chase her lips with your own.

“So needy.” She teased, cupping your chin with a hand and squeezing your cheeks. You whined, feeling your face grow warm under her cold touch. Not wanting to see your pouting lips any longer, Erica leaned back down and started kissing you again.

“Oh my God, ew!” Rory’s yell made you and Erica jump, but Erica didn’t move away from you. She simply turned her head while you looked at your brother and friends in embarrassment and surprise.

“You guys were taking too long.” She said with a shrug. Then she turned back to you, patting your hip before getting off you, offering you her hand. “Come on, let’s eat.”

I approached Y/n’s house and knocked on the door, and played with my sleeves of my jumper scared that she moved on and is dating someone else, Y/n opened the door and looked at me shocked “Y/n… I-I’m sorry for everything I did, I should’ve-“ she cut me off saying“Yunho…. How’ve you been, come in” I walked in seeing a young child raising his arms up for her to pick him up, she looked at him and picked him up.

“You have a child?” I was about to leave seeing that she’s moved on until she held my hand and smiled “Yu-Wonie meet your dad, Yunho” tears form in my eyes after finding out that the baby is mine. I smile and she let me hold him, “can I kiss you?” She smiled ant me and nodded I put my son down and pulled Y/n closer to me and kissed her, she kissed me back wrapping her arms around my neck. “I think I’m ready to go home now” I nodded and took her home with me, she packed all her and Yu-Won’s clothes and I froze us back home.

“Yunho is it okay if you take Yu-Won with you while I say hi to my friends and sort out my socials” “yeah that’s fine but I have a meeting today” she smiled at me holding my arm “I trust you”, once we got home she went to her friends while I went to the meeting early, I hid my son under the table with his baby seat, he was crying so I raised up his baby bottle and his hands shot up trying to grab it “I have to heat it first” San walked in confused at me holding a baby bottle, “is this your guilty pleasure since like Y/n left?” I roll my eyes looking at him “I got her back asshole, this is my sons” “wait no one told me Y/n is back! And you two have a son???!” “You literally texted the group chat 0.1 seconds before Yeosang told me he found her” “right, I’ll go heat it up for you” I thanked him and he went to go heat up the baby bottle, once he gave it to me I waited for it to cool down and gave it to him, as soon as I handed it to him everyone started walking in, I didn’t want them knowing a baby is here during an important meeting, so I hid him.

“Okay so Stray Kids is here so no one do anything” we all nodded and they walked in glaring at us. I didn’t care about them and focused on my son, as soon as I looked down to check on him I couldn’t see him “shit” everyone looked at me and apologized, seconds later our boss jumped a bit and looked down seeing a baby sitting on his shoes drinking his milk.

“Dad what’s wrong?” Hyunjin said in confusion, “a baby” he picked up the baby and I got up running to my son, “Yu-Wonie” I took him from Y/n’s dad and everyone except San got up from their seat and looked a me in shock “you’re cheating on my sister!” “No.. this-“ “then why are you hiding the child, if Y/n hears about this-“

“What about me?” Y/n looked at them confused as Hyunjin ran too her getting ready to end my career, “Yunho has a son” “mama” Yu-won called for her and she picked him up from my arms “has daddy been treating you right?” He smiled and hugged her.

Y/n pov

“wait you and Yunho have a son?” I nodded and smiled at Yunho“Yes” “I’m just glad you’re back” Hyunjin said hugging me with a worried expression. After talking to my brother, my father told me to stay in his office while he talks with Stray Kids and ATEEZ, I nodded and walked out.

Yunho pov

“Okay so the reason why Stray Kids is here is because they wanted to join us” me and my group looked at each other in shock, “wait so you want to join us?” Hongjoong said in confusion and Hyunjin nodded “yes… my uncle said something about my Y/n and I realized that being with him wasn’t a good idea” I looked at him with curiosity “what did he say?” Hyunjin looked nervously at his dad “he said we should find Y/n and use here as a way to get you guys to get you guys to stop being a group” I looked over at our bod who looked angry “I know my brother… if he knew you guys wanted to merge he’ll do whatever it takes to get Y/n, All of you have to protect her at all costs, especially you both” he pointed at me and Hyunjin as he said that and walked out.

Y/n pov

Me and Yunho went home with our son, Yunho wrapped his arms around me and smiled, “I’m so happy to have you back doll” I hug him back missing his touch, “when were you gonna come back, if I didn’t show up?” “I was gonna wait until he turned 1” Yunho nodded feeling at ease that she was gonna come back anyway.

i got my phone back from harin and saw dm’s from fans and that i was trending on Twitter, “what happened when i was gone?” “Well, uhhhh… harin had your account and everyone found out that it wasn’t you almost immediately since he was using your old pictures to cover it but he never put the emoji you always put which made fans think you were missing” I nodded not being surprised since my fans are smart, I decided to post on insta saying that I’m back.
