Another interim comic! With how small and cramped the bathrooms on the SR2 are, there's no way the SR1 at half its size would have had room for more than a single communal shower room. Turns out Shepard and Garrus both just happen to prefer showering at night.
There's going to be a shorter second part to this one, so expect that once I'm done June's Patreon art.
Part 1 • Previous Comic • Next Part
#mass effect#femshep#garrus vakarian#shakarian#garrus x femshep#femshep x garrus#I like to think that Turian soap products are a lot harsher than most because their plates are supposed to be kind of leathery#so while normal soaps aren't an allergy risk Turian ones can be for people who are extra-sensitive#my Shepard is technically allergic she just doesn't react to skin contact so she good#mass effect comic#sharky shepard#sharky art

why does pinterest think i'm interested in baby skin rash????
#a few weeks ago i googled melt & pour soap bases for sensitive skin & all the results were recipes for diy baby soap#but those were (a) not the results i was looking for so didn't interact with them and (b) not on pintrerest#so i'm not sure how they're relevant to pinterest#i've been trying for literally months to find how to change what pinterest thinks i'm interested in but no success#and ftr 'update your personal information' doesn't allow you to change your interests#grunge holds a grudge against pinterest

Explain that one, science! (Patreon)
#Doodles#Original#Just a silly one lol#We recently got a handsoap that was pear-scented and it smelled Exactly of Fruit Candy#Like that specific to-be-eaten kind of sweetness none of the soap harshness or edge just straight sugar-smell#And while it did leave an odd oily residue (I assume a moisturizing formula? I'm a sludge monster so I need it not) it wasn't sticky at all#Such a confusing compound#Anyway I prefer everything unscented and flavourless if it's to do with cleaning if at all possible#Dish soap hand soup - yes shampoo I have The Lightest barely-coconut shampoo that cuts all the oil straight from my scalp So gently#Being a slight supertaster who is also Very sensitive to Chemical Smells is hell :) I do not enjoy Cleaning Scents#Especially when they try to emulate what are meant to be Food Smells - excuse me I would like not to think about trash while food happens#Anyway lol - the pear soap did make me want to chew on myself a bit more than usual#And as Onion is The Most Known for dermatophagia and general body horror weirdness she got it lol#Onion juice is not the easiest on skin but ehhh it's fine she's built for it(?)#<Very questionably considering only her head-shoulders-chest are plant flesh the rest is human flesh#Presumably#I still love her muppet mouth lol no teeth but still an irritant in there! Not venomous or poisonous but noxious in her own small way#She also very specifically only took off one glove and left the other on lol she knew what she was doing she did it on purpose#This is why she's a mushroom /j

bro it should not be as inconvenient as it is to get unscented/fragrance-free skincare products. I'm not even talking anything fancy, I mean, like, hand soap and deodorant. Laundry detergent.
Like, I understand other people love scents and that's FINE, just. Can there also be an option for me?
#hello hi i am autistic and have sensitive skin and i am begging for fewer scents#i had to go to whole foods to get unscented hand soap 😑#by elise#i know olfactory is one of the less popular sensory issues to have but we are out here!!!

1, 31, and 44 for the ask game?
1: Coffee mugs, teacups, wine glasses, water bottles, or soda cans?
Generally, it depends on what I'm drinking! I don't drink alcohol, so no wine glasses for me.
I only really drink out of cans if that's what's only available for fizzy pop - I find them a pain to handle, since you can't close them or stash them in a bag once they're open, so I don't drink out of them often.
I don't really have many teacups in the house, aside from a really big one that's more of a mug, so when it comes to hot drinks, mugs for me! (What's the difference between a normal mug and a coffee mug? I'm curious!)
When it comes to water bottles, I prefer to use my reusable metal ones, since I mostly drink water, but I will drink out of plastic ones if I absolutely have to, generally when I forget to bring my own bottle and need to buy a drink when out and about. XD
31: What outfit do you wear to kick ass and take names?
Honestly? No idea! I do have some more punk-ish or goth-ish outfits, and they always make me feel really cool, especially when I remember to wear a suitable necklace, so I suppose them! XD
44: Favourite scent for soap?
This is a tricky one, because I'm unlucky enough to have skin that reacts badly to perfumes. But I do like very soft scents, so I’m going to say something either floral (but not strong, like lavender) or sweet!
Thank you for the ask! ^°^
#Answered ask#Text post#Aah the joy of sensitive skin#Luckily I can have perfume on my clothes provided I don't go overboard#(Which I don't anyway)#But soap shops smell anazing so it really sucks I can't use most of their products :(#Thank you for the ask! :)

i have a deep disaffinity to the feel of slime, but i like the visual aesthetic of slimegirls. at the risk of inciting a horny answer, is this the same for you?
yeah pretty much, i don’t mind the feel so much as i hate the feeling of residue on my hands and i absolutely hate hate HATE when my hands have a noticeable smell to them, whether it be pleasant or unpleasant. i think warm slimes are probably less unpleasant to the touch than cold ones but i think that’s a pretty normal thing to feel?
that being said if a slime girl existed and she smelled nice? would. 1000%
#ask#i have that autism superpower of render slime really good at the cost of hate touching most things with slime consistency 👍#i can use scented soap nowadays but when i was younger i heavily preferred scentless soaps for that reason#i still prefer scents that fade fairly quickly!!!#so i usually use like…. vanilla or milk and honey fragrances#still can’t use most lotions!#also i have super sensitive skin anyway. rip

the leftism leaving people's bodies when people have different hygiene habits that are better for their hair/skin/sensory issues
#literally I have never seen people be more uncritically mean than when talking about hygiene#it's ableist as fuck. and also just straight up uninformed about what you actually need to be hygenic#if you like exfoliating every day good for you or whatever but that doesn't make people who don't dirty or in any way unclean#also in specific reference to the post I'm thinking about. people getting mad about bare hands being inefficient and “wasting soap”#are literally just so stupid to me#do you think people are just dumping out soap? is using a couple cents of soap in a wash really worth being judgmental?#like have your preferences. awesome. my skin is so fucking sensitive and I need to treat it that way#I've increased the amount I exfoliate when I started T mostly bc thicker body hair traps sweat and dead skin more#but before that! my habits were the same my whole life and people complimented my skin and smell all the time#anyways done ranting but I didn't want to do this on the post where people were being rude#soupy post
