hey in general can we like stop giving burner accounts some kind of benefit of the doubt. like if you cant say what youre thinking on your actual blog, then im afraid whatever you say means nothing. but im afraid there are too many hopeless people

but hi this happened last year to me — someone spamming my mutuals with this kind of ask and then messaging them to spread lies about me. and people fucking believed it! and it was like basically nothing proof, taking some tag i left on a post on my old bandom tag about how i wanted tongue from two bassists LOL, and an unsourced fandom wiki that was filled w misinformation 😭 but like. PLEASE think before you even entertain that a BURNER account is right over me. if you want clarification on anything, you can ASK me. this rando making burner accounts has been harassing me with these kinds of asks whenever they pop up to spread nonsense about me so. they really aren't being subtle with it. And they have told me far worse! I literally had to deactivate my old blog because of it. like sorry im not doing last year again. If you genuinely believe(d) this account, then I dont ever wanna be around you again! i lost mutuals over this and you know what good riddance!!

im not going to make anything else about this. if it gets really bad, im jumping ship! im deactivating! but i just wanna ask that if any mutuals get this kind of ask from this account or any like it claiming that youre following someone shipping with a minor or shipping with real people — please don’t respond, just block and ignore. i mean its like RLLY anxiety inducing to see these asks out there for absolute strangers to see, and I was absolutely miserable last year when ppl (especially ones i didnt know) felt like they were involved and made this into “drama.” like the r.pf allegations are just dumb but it really fucks w my mind to constantly be called a predator/creep and claiming that the characters i love and ship w are minors! because this person is apparently trying to claim this shit w all my mains?? it makes me sick. and i would rather not seeing asks i know that are about me floating around for strangers to see, even if it doesnt directly name me in it

Pleeeease redesign the other fucks from the nine realms.

Oooo this was such a fun little project! Not a fan of the nine realms which is pretty standard within this fandom, but I do like the uh. Vibe. Of some dragons. The designs are always a miss apart from like. One or two.

Starting off with Thunder - species Night light:

Thunder being so night furyish makes little sense if we’re taking Toothless being the last night fury as canon. Either that mother fucker had the strongest genetics known to man, or dragons live for hundreds and hundreds of years, which considering httyd likes its realism(sometimes), I doubt is the case for a species like the night or light fury. So, I made his design lean way way more into being a light fury, but still making it clear that he is actually a night light.

Also, didn’t include any of the weird fucked up ‘evolution’ to the tail/wings/earnubs, because little short from it being a birth defect or cross breeding with a non-fury dragon (Which genetically speaking is 99.99% impossible) is absolutely NOT possible at all. 1000 years is fucking NOTHING for evolution. Maybe you’d get a slight gene change or something but you are not getting anatomical shifts that fucking visible in only 1000 years.

And anyway, the evolution Thunder supposedly went through is so stupid?? What’s the point of his wings’ surface area being decreased?? He can catch marginally less draft with those shit fuck wings??? And his PROPORTIONS OH MY LORDDD. He’s just inbred I have no other explanation. And his stupid fucking snout. Pugification of the night light. And I’m not even going to comment on the stupid ass tail there is literally no point. Why did they give him an aeroplane tail. They took one of the most recognisable features of the fury species and just fucked it. He can’t fucking shift air flow and change direction with that shit oml😭

Anyway moving on before this post just turns into a tnr night-light rant,

Feathers!!! - Species Featherhide (how creative)

Feathers is probably my favourite design from the canonical tnr dragons. I’m a massive fan of the parrot theme they went with!!! But one gripe I have is that she does seem just a bit too generic. She has pretty colours and some feathers on her head and tail. But like. That’s it. They didn’t really do anything else with the chameleon crap she’s got going on (for those who don’t know, her species has the same camouflaging ability as the changewings).

So, I went a lot more traditional reptile looking with her, and added way more feathers and general details to her design. I did consider making her eyes chameleon like, but it ended up looking a bit off. I like to think she scampers around and constantly licks her eyes, even though she’s perfectly capable of blinking.

Next up, Plowhorn - Species Gembreaker

I love love LOVE the beetle thing going on with her wings!!. It’s just incorporated into the design in such an awkward way😭 There’s so much space Beneath the beetle shell and her back, which makes them look glued on.

Anyway for the redesign I leaned more into the rhino theme they got going on, tough skin and big chunky face horns. (By the way- the placement of the horn on her face is SO off putting and I can’t quite explain why. It’s just. ????. Why is she an extremely scaly unicorn that got the pug treatment???) and I gave her ears cuz her canon design looks insanely bald.

I also attempted to un-derp her a bit. Cuz. I mean fucking look at her bro that shit is NOT scary😭

I really like the idea of half blue half red on this guy (I think it’s a he?), it makes for a cool Fire and Water theme.

My main problem with the canon design is how forced the colours kinda feel. Hard red to yellow to blue with a slight fade transition. Come on guys, incorporate your colours into the design!

Their heads as well. They’re just. Not nice to look at. The ends of their noses are making me incredibly uncomfortable. They look like spoon billed borzois

Anywho, I really enjoyed designing those guys!! Maybe I’ll do some of the other tnr dragons in the future lol

hey anon. firstly, thank you, i'm glad you like my art. secondly, i am at the end of the day just a guy who draws sometimes. this is a question which was already answered many times by transfeminists on here, and ideally you'd want to get the perspectives of tma people rather than mine. and just in general, keep up with discussions of transmisogyny and listen to transfems, yeah?

all that said, since you are asking me personally... to put it as simply as i can: transandrophobia, or transmisandry, is not real because misandry is not real. that should be the end of the discussion, really. there is no need for a special word to describe transphobia targeted at transmascs, because transphobia and/or other forms of oppression (real ones, Not misandry) depending on any particular situation already cover everything. why is there a desire for a special word to begin with, anyway? girls got one, we want one too? c'mon

but also like, all that aside, regardless of how real or not real transandrophobia is, it is a dog whistle. if someone associates with the transandrophobia crowd, they are most likely a transmisogynist. that should be enough of a reason to steer away from those guys and not trust them. sure, some posts by them might seem compelling or validating at a glance, i've definitely seen younger trans guys who don't know any better start looking in that direction because they feel like they are finally being given a tool to discuss their experiences. i assume that's partially why your question is framed like that, too, because a simple "we just want a word to discuss our oppression" is a lot more convincing than "we hate trans women and want to make them out to be the true oppressors" or "we're just men rights activists but with a trans flag, which also means that we are incapable of oppressing trans women because of our inherent connection to womanhood. don't worry about what that logic implies about our views of trans women" or... you get the picture. it's transmisogyny through and through, you don't even need to dig much

again, i hope you'll look more into what trans women have to say on this, it would do more good than my short clumsy explanation, but hopefully it at least gives you some vague idea

okay this is raw and rough, but I don't think I'll get myself to actually write something better, so here is an idea/outline of a scene I had in mind for this piece I made:

After Merlin leaves the lake, unable to keep looking at Arthur's body, he finds Gwaine fallen and unconscious on his way back to Camelot. He despairs and manages to make him come back to consciousness (he is not dead yet)

"Merlin…" Gwaine opens his eyes with effort and murmurs. He smiles, his heart at ease just by seeing Merlin's face again.

"Gwaine, stay with me, I can't lose you too" Merlin pleads, his eyes already turning a soft shade of golden.

"The king…"

"Arthur is gone…" Merlin's voice stumbles.

"So I failed him… I failed you... Camelot..."

Merlin is desperate as he takes off Gwaine's restraints, saying, "No, no, Gwaine, please… Don't take the blame for me."

With no strength left, Gwaine collapses onto Merlin, unable to support his weight or even raise his aching hands. How he wishes to caress Merlin's face, to swipe away the golden tears streaming down his cheeks.

"You did everything you could, Merlin..." is all he can manage to speak.

"I know… I know about—"

"Shhhh, that's not important now… please, Gwaine… Stay with me, please, just stay," Merlin says as he raises his body and places his glowing hands over Gwaine's chest in a desperate attempt to find the knight's heart. "I have to—I can do this..."

"Merlin, you can't..." Gwaine's breath-catching voice is hardly audible at this point.

“Don’t say that! Don’t— Don't you dare! You don’t get to give up! You can't!”

"Merlin..."

“No! No, not yet. I never told you everything. I never showed you what I am. I... if I’d just—”

“You’re everything I already knew" Gwaine cuts him softly, his voice is quiet, devastatingly gentle. "Even the parts you tried to hide. I loved all of it.”

“That's unfair! I’m losing you before I even had the chance to be honest... To tell you how much I lov- how much I love you...” Merlin shakes his head, voice cracking.

“Love isn’t fair sometimes... Yet, it's real."

Merlin's magic is worn out and shaky, and the glow in his hands falters. Unable to find Gwaine's strength to give his life back, he is exhausted and shaken. He tightens his clutch on Gwaine.

“Don’t go. Not yet" he begs, his tears falling down like a waterfall.

"I'm not worth your tears, Merlin" with his own tears streaming down his face, Gwaine tries to give him a little smirk but fails.

"Yes... Yes you are..." Merlin sobbs "I'm the one not worth of yours..."

"Yes you are... You've always been... It's always been you, Merlin... You..."

"I know..."

"It's alright, Merlin..." Gwaine smiles with difficulty.

"It's not alright! I can't lose you!"

"Maybe in another life I can find you again… and fall in love with you again… and make you happy…"

"You make me happy! Please, don't go, don't go…"

A moment of silence. Merlin's magic is failing, he is becoming weaker by the second, and Gwaine's body is slowly fading. Merlin has to lay down, carefully resting Gwaine down with him.

".. Hey, Merlin..." Gwaine whispers, his voice almost unrecognizable, quiet and emptying.

"Hi, Gwaine" he answers, lips trembling, tears falling, his eyes trying to scan Gwaine's face one last time, carving him into memory. Merlin lowers his head down so Gwaine can share his last words as a whisper in his ear:

"If I had the chance to go back in time... to love you once more... to be held like this by you... I'd go through it again..."
