So I started to write a book in like 7th grade about a young prince who befriends a unicorn or something and I was so proud of my first chapter that I showed it to my best friend who LITERALLY SHRIEKED with laughter at the first line and damn I can’t express how quickly the wind left my sails.

And I don’t blame her, because honestly? it was objectively hokey as shit, but the joy and enthusiasm I had felt writing it was so real, and if I could go back in time and talk with young me I would probably try and nudge her focus more toward that inward joy and that spark (and then casually suggest that maybe we just don’t share it with Kristen this time?)

I have noticed something while watching the latest update of this year's Halloween event... Spoilers below!

In this part, where Skully expresses his dislike for evil ghosts and says they should be banished, all the NRC guys go "😡😡", giving him a death glare, basically calling him and his views brutish and undignified, and give him a lecture about how ghosts visiting on Halloween should be treated with hospitality etc. All this without asking him why he thinks the way he does, of course.

Then, I remembered Endless Halloween/Spectral Soirée...

Apparently and Unfortunately, there's been a... sudden influx in the reposting/editing/claim-it-as-their-own of my arts inside the TikTok world (；′⌒`)

I know, I know, "Weeelll you're famous, sooner or later your arts are gonna be reposted, just deal with it bla bla bla." I get it, but still, the fact that a lot of people do it doesn't mean it's right. I've even let loose by letting it go if they reposted with credits by writing my name on the caption, but of course, majority of time, they get reposted without credits, edited, and then claiming it as their own.

I thank all the reports that have come in into my DM's! I promise I've done what I can to make them take it down, but again, most of the time I get ignored in the DM's.

-> SO ✨ What would be a huge, wonderful help to me, is don't be afraid to comment on the posts/tiktoks that it's sleepyconfusedpotato's art KINDLY. Don't attack them, just leave a comment that the art is not theirs and the art belongs to sleepyconfusedpotato on IG and Tumblr. That way the people that sees it will at least know that it does not belong to the reposter.

Once again, thank you guys so much for reporting these to me, but my efforts alone won't be enough, and of course they'll try to ignore/block me as I'm the actual artist. A thief won't admit to their steals.

Ya'll probably know this by now given how much I post about it but one of my favorite pastimes is watching people react to Stranger Things. I bring this up this time because I've noticed a pattern.

People root for Mileven in seasons 1 and 2 with no problem (with the exception of a couple of reactors who took forever to pick up on it in s1 or just didn't like the idea of rooting for such young kids to be kissing). Esp s2 because everyone wants them to reunite and then said reunion is absolutely adorable.

However, by about halfway through ep1 of s3, everyone just seems to be so bored of them. Like nobody I've watched has ever really expressed the want for them to get back together when they break up. I realize this is probably partially because of the annoying nature of their relationship and the way their whole breakup is played off like a big joke, but that's actually precisely what I'm getting at. Why would the writers choose to make it so easy to stop rooting for the "main couple" of the show??? Just so they could have a comeback arc or seven? If Mileven is endgame, this will probably be one of my biggest hangups, esp given the way Mike was the brunt of the "joke".

One of the main reasons I always go back to Byler endgame despite all of my doubt is because of how the writers treat Mileven's relationship. It's pretty toxic and so it's easy to stop rooting for them or just the repetitive-ness of their story as a couple makes them boring. They wouldn't make the "main couple" the most annoying couple in the show if they were actually going to be endgame.
