Their first Christmas together Akira jokingly said he was the best gifter of the group so, of course, Goro took it as a personal challenge. For the next year, he writes down every little comment and detail to make sure every single one of his gifts that Christmas are perfect:

Futaba is easy, of course she wants the limited edition anyversary box with the first 5 Featherman seasons and rare merchandising.

For Ann he first thought about high quality cosmetics or clothes, but there was a high possibility someone would have the same idea, so he settles for a Wilton hotel spa and buffet voucher.

Makoto is harder since he knows Akira already has what she wants, but the rare buchimaru stationery set he finds on an online store looks promising.

He knows Yusuke will be happy with any art supply but he throws in there a conmemorative edition of a book about one of his favorite artists work too to make it more interesting.

Morgana gets a fancy tray of the sushi he always complains Akira and Goro eat without him and the privilege of not being called a cat for a whole week.

For Sumire, instead of going for what she wants, Goro chooses what she needs, a day on the same spa as Ann to relax and forget about the anxiety that comes with her first big international competition.

Haru's gift is simple, more sentimental as she basically buys most of the material things she wants, an album with all the photos of the group he's been able to find, which are surprisingly enough to fill the full album.

Ryuji's been whining about the price of the new games he wants to buy so Goro just needs to make sure no one else gets them and, in case someone does, a good pair of running shoes would be a good option too, he'll need one sooner than later.

And then, there's Akira. Goro thought he'd be the easiest as he knows him best, but he was wrong. How are you supposed to find the perfect gift for someone who would like absolutely everything you gave him? Nothing seems good enough, until he realizes. The fond smile his boyfriend gives him when he opens the box with an Arsène custom-made keychain makes his heart jump, but that expression is nothing compared to how he beams when he notices the key that comes with it. Akira doesn't need to read the note at the bottom of the box to know that's Goro's way of asking him to move together.

Pokemon crossover? Indeed. Because there’s so many ghost pokemon, and many that are specifically stated to be dead children that I bet? They would absolutely adore the Dannies. In fact? They adore the entire Team Phantom. 

Who are in fact on vacation, taking a summer to not have to deal with ghosts. Do they know what Fright Knight is doing back home? No, but they’re on vacation and don’t care. Look at these lil guys! Tucker, don’t steal the rotom- oh they’ve adopted you? Okay. Fair enough. 

Now their world? Pokemon doesn’t exist. And by that I mean not even as a game or series or anything. So it is new and fun and like exploring the zone all over again! 

They’re having fun, making friends with people and pokemon alike. Danny has discovered that pokepuffs don’t become violent if revived and many of his new friends love having snacks they can chase after. Dan absolutely delights in taking care of more than a couple of the evil organizations- and there might have been a cult form, no one asked. 

They had to drag Tucker away from several bits of technology, quite literally drag him. And they had to carefully drag several pokemon away from Valerie because they adore her and her suit. Sam- erm, where did Sam and Ellie- oh there they are. Oh Ellie found a clone friend and Sam. Sam that’s a legendary. 

…

That’s so cool! But like, they do have to go back home- oh, oh they’re coming with. That’s a lot of pokemon. Oh well, it’s fine. They brought souvenirs for their friends and family and plenty of plants- like Sam would let them not do so. 

So now they’re home and with… okay that’s way more friends than they thought, but it’s fine! Let’s go see- oh hey Frighty, erm, what do you mean heroes arrived?? We don’t have much of an issue anymore???

not only i do not subscribe to the idea that Watari imposed L’s role on the wammy’s residents (for different reasons) or that wammy’s was created just for L, but I also don’t understand how that would work. Mello and Near are from the fourth generation (debatable but regardless, they don’t seem to be from the second) and if they are the successors, it means that the people chosen from the prior generations either died or decided to back down. It’s highly unlikely that everyone died, and if they decided to back down, that simply means that people can just do so, which goes against the most common headcanon in this fandom. I could accept that they all went into hiding, if only it weren’t for the fact that Mello, Near and L are highly competitive individuals so there must be someone before Mello and Near that wanted to be L, especially because the way Wammy’s is structured leads to competitiveness. So what happened to those people, that at the time L dies are mostly adults? I think they would surely be the first choices, just because they are older. They don’t even have to be individually the smartest people, because they can work together. I will always think that A and B’s generation is also L’s (or maybe one before), so it would make sense that after A’s death, the project was put on hold for a while, so nobody was actually chosen from the 2nd and 3rd generation (still debatable - do they actually exist or Mello’s came immediately after?). They probably weren’t even introduced to the idea of a successor programme, so they had no idea it existed, and only after that, as L was getting more well known (and maybe even after B’s attempt to ruin him or whatever he wanted to do) or when he started the Kira case, the successor programme was reinstalled. Still, no one is forcing anyone to be L. Near and Mello want to win, to be him. As Mello could just walk out of the Wammy’s, they could also say, fuck no, but they didn’t. True that the Wammy’s could idolise L, but if we take as canon what he said to the kids and the fact that some began to dislike him, he doesn’t want to be seen as an idiol and the kids are not brainwashed into thinking that.

jess and rory s6 in her bedroom at her grandparents house,, I don’t know why I do this to myself but I just watched a clip of that scene and I have tears in my eyes. i’m not even saying this for exaggeration i’m genuinely tearing up.. ​I’m thinking again about Astarions sexuality and how I've seen some people (to be fair, just a few) talk about it. Mainly, people pointing out his flamboyant behavior, and that us as players are learning more about his past male lovers than female ones and basically all these things for some people pointing to him being gay or at least not interested in women in the same way he is in men. And him only being a romance option regardless of gender, because, well, all companions are and he is therefore just "playersexual", only showing interest in female player characters because he has to, because of the game mechanics.

I think what really rubs me the wrong way about this topic is that it echoes the kind of things bi/pan people (speaking as a bisexual woman myself) find themselves dealing with irl. Whether through some form of internalized biphobia or from the outside through other people's comments. Of course this is about a fictional character so it’s not like he has any feelings that could be hurt. But when i see people tallying up how often he mentions men vs. how often he mentions women it really reminds me of a way of thinking I sometimes fall into in regards to my own sexuality. This is definitely just an internalized response and not something I actually believe when I truly think about it for a second, but I know these patterns of thought very well. Of observing my own behavior. How often do I find which gender attractive? Am I attracted "enough" to women? Do I talk about men's attractiveness too often? Is it the other way around? Am I only saying this woman is attractive to prove something to myself? I literally have a girlfriend and my attitude towards mine or other's sexual orientation is generally a huge big "whatever, I don't care". And I still have a passing thought like that from time to time.

So seeing people talk about a fictional character in this way really sends home how many people (whether consciously or unconsciously) see attraction as some sort of equation, you can solve, where in the end you get a result of either gay or straight.

If DC wants to keep pushing out different types of Gotham War comics for every year, they may as well make a Gotham Batman Ships war next year. They get to make light fun of their fans. Batman is spread all over somewhat romantically like hummus. They get to bring in different heroes and Gotham villains to fight reluctantly (they don’t want the Batman they just want the honor). The batkids get to sit cute on the sidelines and laugh at their dad’s misery. It’s fun
