Found a really cool trend from twitter that I wanted to share on here, basically has to do with form changes in relation to the abilities of each pokemon! I thought of going with Volcarona as it is one of my favs. The Flame Body ability was pretty straightforward to work with, which I made Volcarona's body entirely in flames except for its thorax and little mandibles.

I had more difficulty with the swarm, but decided to add more wings to give off an illusion of sorts, more so a mimicry of the swarm movement (alternatively, they reflect the solar flares). I added small random moths cuddling Volcarona, joined with hovering yellow ones that were allured by its warmth and light (moths like warm places!)

Had tons of fun with this :)

his pretty eyes looking all over you for the first time while he gets in your personal space — and he doesn’t know the concept of that or why his closeness would make u uncomfortable so he’s confused when u step back from him:( but then he’s gifting you bags of sparkling gems and vials of uniquely flavored sweet liquids that he brought with him from his planet to hopefully win your affection

he lays his head on your shoulder when you two stargaze every night, and he cries for the first time in your arms when he finds out what homesickness is. he’s clinging to you and rubbing his face in your neck, softly sobbing about his community so far away..

but he loves it on earth with you, and he doesn’t want to leave. he feels so deeply intertwined with your soul, finding it hard to imagine anything that could change how much he adores you.

while he doesn’t necessarily look too different from humans on earth, one might be able to tell when they see him looking utterly bewildered at the sight of couples in public pressing their lips together. he’s like ? what? is that ? why are they doing that :( ? are they trying to eat one another ? is that what beings on earth do ?

so you’ve gotta be the one to explain kissing to him. sigh.

I'm not really a writer, and I also completely lose my confidence when I'm trying to explain my art processes. So this is probably an obvious, unhelpful platitude at best, but one thing I've realized is that you should allow yourself to be self-indulgent. If you're the primary target audience of your own work, it generates passion and keeps you inspired and motivated. I like to believe that people who see your creations are more likely to respond to them positively if they can sense that you're putting your heart and soul to them.

Do you guys ever think about historical age regression? And no I don't mean in fiction I mean like how there's so many people that regressed. What was it like? Do you wonder if there was a regressor and their caregiver who lived in the 60s? Did any adults or teens in the early 1900s wish they had a rocking horse every time they saw one in a shop window? What about even further, in the 1800s? The 1600s even. Older?

We're not alone, maybe modern day is during a time where regression is more present because it's a perfect amount of certain factors, sure but it's not like someone in 2014 just decided to! I think it's really facinating and intimate to imagine all these people throughout the years going through what we go through. And I bet a good lot of them lived happily. And maybe quite a few found a good support system.

it bugs me so much when I see people complaining about the lack of women in jrwi when like.... riptide is right there. riptide has so many cool npcs who are women VERY early on in the campaign and throughout the rest of it, PLUS a badass pc (jay) who is one of the best played/written characters in ANY of the jrwi campaigns. like. what's the issue here. you don't even have to go to a new show for cool women, literally their longest running campaign has a ton of them !!!

All I'm saying is that when Scooby Doo becomes public domain, I don't wanna see any low budget slashers. I wanna see the gang as immoral people who only hunt monsters for pay. I wanna see Scooby Doo in the style of Supernatural. Or Until Dawn. We already have series like Scoob and Shag and Mystery Inc (the fan series, not the official one) to show how to properly adapt a franchise in a cool new way. for anyone wondering, what about Han Sungsoo? 🤔 it seems that he hasn't been the CEO of Pledis since early 2022, the role until now was filled by Lee Dahye, a former VP for Bighit. HSS has still remained in the company but was demoted to an internal director

if you're wondering how you missed this, don't worry, there was never an official announcement! 🙃 carats had to find this out more than a year after the fact by doing some digging

but now Lee Dahye is being replaced by Kim Yeon Soo, who's the original VP of Pledis before they were acquired. He's the one that appeared on SVT Club, and he has historically had a good relationship with Seventeen. the way I always thought of it is Nu'est was HSS's project group, where Kim Yeon Soo oversaw the creation of svt. after the acquisition, he was put in charge of Hybe Labels Japan. it seems now he will remain in that position while also taking over as Pledis CEO

personally, I don't know what to think of this yet. on one hand carats have always had a positive view of Kim Yeon Soo, and he's always seemed to have a close relationship with svt. and I would say I'd rather have him in charge than a hybe plant

but the timing of it is very convenient. this is pure speculation on my part but with Seungkwan's Instagram post recently and all the stuff going on with hybe, it wouldn't surprise me if hybe was bringing in Kim Yeon Soo to try and appease the members (and possibly other Pledis employees). it definitely feels like they're trying to appease /somebody/ with this move, and I can't see it being the fans since most carats didn't know about Lee Dahye being the CEO in the first place. so I can only assume it's people within Pledis they're trying to appease 🤷‍♀️
