i’m being so brave by sleeping all alone in my very old house with a very creepy attic tonight. please send ghost stories

#i think a good roaring 20’s ghost story premise would be like #LOC and rosco both fall separately in love with miles wood #they see him hanging around the practice rink at different times #one game ross tosses a puck to him etc etc #and after the game miles is like ‘you should let me buy you a drink for that’ and ross is like okay #but it’s weird because they’re at the bar and it’s like - people only interact with ross #no one even acknowledges miles #and meanwhile logan is watching miles at free skate and giving miles tips about his skating or something #and ignoring the way everyone is looking at him weird #and neither ross or logan figure it out until after miles has tricked them into a double date #or whatever kind of date it is where two people show up to date the same person #i guess some would call that betrayal but miles just takes their hands and is like ‘trust me’#so they do #and they go back to ross’s afterwards because miles is shady about his own place like ‘it’s a terrible neighborhood’#‘the whole building smells like cats’#blah blah physical and spiritual bodies are explored much fun is had by all #but logan wakes up in the middle of the night absolutely cold #like sleeping in a refrigerator cold #to see miles floating into the room all blue and spectral with a huge chunk just missing out of the left side of his body #can’t move can’t breathe can’t scream #that’s as far as my brain got on that one

They have to calm the masses (6 people in the crowd actively not watching, 4 people that ARE and 5 people at the bar who are not facing them and engaged in their own conversations)

There is no coherence to a corroded coffin set list but you can’t say they don’t create a ✨ musical experience like no other ✨

(Yes Steve is one of the 4 that is watching and promptly unbuttoned his top button of his polo shirt after the milf-terlude that had intense eye contact with a one, Eddie munson)

Reading this review of fallout that essentially says they think it’s “just okay” but not great, seeming to attribute its success mainly due to being an adaptation of a beloved game. As someone who never played before watching and thought it was a great tv show (not just a great adaptation since I had no basis for comparison), obvs I disagree. And they really had no clear basis for why they think it’s not that great and more that they just don’t get the hype. Like they enjoyed it, they want more of it, etc. but interestingly they did say they hope it’s success makes them improve not approach s2 with a “if it aint broke don’t fix it” mindset, and that I can agree with. But tbh I think this speaks to a larger problem with tv at all and not just fallout….

#.ooc ( dani is an asshole )#I have so many thoughts on how tv shows suck so much recently or have like one good season and then it goes to shit #and I think it’s to do with the fact that shows just aren’t given enough room to grow #they have to be good immediately or they get pulled #which is why we get a really great s1 of a show #they have to sell one really good story #so they do #and then it gets renewed for a second season bc it did well but the story they wrote is finished #so when they have to do more it’s crap bc they pulled some shit out of their asses #bc they didn’t want to risk a longer/better story in case they never got the chance to finish it #I think fallout is in a fortunate position to have the universe of fallout giving it the room to end on a cliffhanger like it did #there’s enough story in the universe and lore in existence to build upon that gives it a fighting chance #and a gamble worth making #and so far it’s working and I hope it continues #but as far as this review thinking it has too many Easter eggs and lore drops #and not enough story I just flat out disagree since I missed all of those details anyway lol #but also I think that was part of their gamble #load it up with stuff for fans of the games to be pleased that it’s true to the games #and then perhaps in later seasons it can ease up on the obvious easter eggy moments and focus on the story and characters #now that they’ve gotten the ppl likely to be their toughest critics to bite #nobody is harsher on adaptations/remakes than fans of the original #and I have heard many fans of the games say the show is the best fallout material out there #better than the games #anyway lmfao it wasn’t like the review was wrong but like?? they didn’t exactly make a great argument or anything about what’s wrong #more that they’re worried it won’t get better which is???#fair but not exactly #how the article was framed ig

As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.

#THIS TOOK ME FOREVER RAAHHHH #i had help from my mom with stuff like the parts of the traje de mestiza which is the outfit shes wearing #this trend looks so much fun and i wanted to join in.. im first gen canadian though so ive never been to the philippines and only #know thru stories of my parents growing up. im proud of my heritage but there are some things i didnt grow up with that #make me feel disconnected from my culture. so it was nice to talk to my mom abt it and ask for her help with this :3 #the pleated tapis is meant to resemble her skirt.. i had no way of adding her stockings but i noticed the piano key design #so i used that for the saya. the bandana is meant to resemble her hairties and shes wearing bakya wooden slippers with embroidery #i kinda wanted to add the panuelo to resemble her tie as a finishing touch but i forgor ;w; just imagine it i guess #my mom really likes this. shes a little confused abt the blue hair and i had to explain her hair is like that but she thinks shes pretty #originally i wanted her holding the woven pamaypay and fanning herself because ITS HOT ITS 25 FUCKING DEGREES TODAY #but i couldnt get the pose right so i settled for this. i wanna draw her and brazilian miku high fiving ill do that tmrw #my art #myart #hatsune miku #miku worldwide #philippines #vocaloid #miku

speculative fiction writers i am going to give you a really urgent piece of advice: don't say numbers. don't give your readers any numbers. how heavy is the sword? lots. how old is that city? plenty. how big is the fort? massive. how fast is the spaceship? not very, it's secondhand.

the minute you say a number your readers can check your math and you cannot do math better than your most autistic critic. i guarantee. don't let your readers do any math. when did something happen? awhile ago. how many bullets can that gun fire? trick question, it shoots lasers, and it shoots em HARD.

you are lying to people for fun. if you let them do math at you the lie collapses and it's no fun anymore.
