I usually don’t lean heavily on soulmate/soulmark aus, especially for td, but the random thought of a dashawn soulmark/soulmate au that's also sorta compliant with canon popped into my head and it’s got ahold of me simply bc of how utterly wack it is--plus a side dose of angst and obliviousness

#braindump here bear with me #so it starts from the beginning up until…like the finale #so the whole season basically #it’s the typical ‘your soulmate’s first words to you on your body’ au but with these two you bet it’s gonna be wack #debating between the words on dave being totally normal smth ANYONE would say so he literally has no clue if he passed his soulmate-#-without knowing #adds more to his ‘normal guy’ deal #OR it could be the exact opposite (bc this is Shawn’s first words to him so) and it’s smth so wildly abnormal BUT #he doesn’t hear it being said to him so he thinks he hasn’t met his soulmate when in reality he has #for SHAWN it’s more complicated #given the guy’s mentality I can see him being more skeptical abt soulmates and the marks #(prob thinks it’s a conspiracy)#so either it’s a fluke and he somehow doesn’t have a soulmark #OR he has one he just hasn’t looked or given it attention in so long he’s forgotten what the words are #he like literally doesn’t give a shit abt it which opposes dave’s more romantic view #and like there’s pining and frustrating obliviousness and idk who finds out first but damn imagine the feels #and they naturally gravitate toward each other bc of them being soulmates and they’re confused af but rolling with it #‘yeah idk why I’m seeking out your company but I’m chalking it up to wilderness insanity nothing more. you’re my best friend here man’#it’s all in the ✨perspective✨ and that’s what makes it interesting #wow I could actually take this somewhere #I wanna finish agtsta first though. or at least get halfway through it #plus I’ve so many other plot bunnies hanging around 😭#no but I’ve a whole set of bullet-points for this I might post it later on if this gets traction #noahtally-famous #total drama #kit stuff #dashawn

I did start this whole blog with the dreams of one day being able to draw better equines. So Yes. I know right! What was I even doing at the start? That was *not* a donkey!!!#That aside - I really am thrilled that I can draw her more. Yeah I really like the parallels here between WWX and Little apple.#Specifically the sense of how we get a nod to how he's changed.#Little apple and WWX have both grown a little less lean and hungry (one literally the other metaphorically)#This whole episode is basically about WWX's desire for something peaceful and domestic in his life.#and here is little apple - his first companion from the start of his new life - changed to something softer.#Very much a 'look how far we have come moment' that is rather subtle but enjoyable.

jayvik shippers PLEASE be normal about Mel & Sky challenge, part 2, difficulty rating: (impossible)

So... Apparently UA s4 is a massive flop.... I'm not saying we need to start bullying* showrunners and writers and networks/streamers (*putting pressure on them to do right by beloved pieces of media with passionate fan bases so much so that they feel they'll get the guillotine if they do anything less than perfect and justice by the story/characters) but.... Bridgerton in s1, s2, and the spinoff essentially: LW has done nothing helpful, she only adds harm to society's reputations, especially that of women and young girls who have little means of ways to protect themselves. It's why so many are scared that their every move is being watched. It's very evident that, whoever she is, has nothing better to do and probably wouldn't be accepted or forgiven by the Ton if their identity was revealed.

Bridgerton s3, for some reason: Oh LW is amazing (because it's Penelope) and is a true testament to how someone can overcome such harsh trials and come out on top (because, of course, being "ignored" gives you the right to weaponize your power and privileges to harm others, even those who you've never spoken too, just because you want to be seen, even though you hide behind an anonymous gossip sheet). Some people should even be jealous of the feats she's overcome (because, yes, it perfectly makes sense for a feminist character to be jealous of someone who's only used their power to hurt women and young girls for some cash and entertainment, totally makes sense).

#bridgerton #i was basically summarizing points but you get it #bc the whole 180 from how lw was viewed in early seasons & queen charlotte #vs in s3 reads so much as fan service and fave character of the director behind the scenes or something #like everything about it felt so stupid #and big eye roll behavior to eloise & colin trying win their case with “but being ignored hurts!' which it does but 1.) that's not an excuse #to hurt others especially making a profit over it & 2.) why should cressida care when she's about to be sold!?#and the way so many characters were characterized just so pen could be easily forgiven and have her shine (even pen herself) 🙄#bridgerton criticism #anti penelope featherington

following on from this. not to always bring marc into everything (sorry marc) but if assen 2015 had happened against jorge, valentino would have very likely pulled something similar again imo. rather than what he actually did, which is approach marc almost immediately for a nice normal friendly handshake and backing off during the podium celebrations. should be noted that during laguna seca '08, valentino was very much committed to yapping at casey on the podium with the world's biggest smuggest grin on his face

partly that disparity is because jorge not marc was the direct title rival, partly it's because valentino was treating marc with kid gloves right until the second that he wasn't, which marc was seemingly entirely oblivious to. if anyone other than marc had said what he said in that presser, had then continued on with similar rhetoric during sachsenring, valentino would quite likely have gone nuclear. he's done it over less than that. his fondness for marc made him continue to exhibit uncharacteristic restraint... except that fondness unfortunately is what left valentino feeling so very betrayed when (to his eyes) marc could not leave well enough alone

#it's so delightfully tragic isn't it. a lot of 2015 played out the way it did because valentino genuinely wasn't looking for beef #but then felt backed into a corner and decided he had no other option than to blow this shit up #if casey says 'what I think is that we won the race' valentino would've torn him a new one then and there like...#if sete had called assen his best race of the season valentino would've reached for the chalk and incense even sooner #though fwiw I do think the relationship was basically doomed from that point. something would have happened sooner or later #2015 is so funny conceptually because there was already something *off* about it most of the way through. you have the familiar beats #but they shouldn't be HAPPENING with marc. they should be happening with the actual title rival - who vale never properly fought all season #assen 2015 should've been laguna should've been catalunya hell it should've been assen 2004 but it couldn't be #valentino kept accidentally inflicting the psychological blows on the wrong guy because jorge just refused to end up in a straight fight #assen SHOULD have been a pivotal race. but of course it couldn't be because what psychological blow was jorge lorenzo being dealt?#btw the unwillingness to beef doesn't just extend to marc. valentino makes a concerted effort to be uncharacteristically friendly to jorge #still think he would've rubbed assen in his face but. overall! he was trying! which again. very ironic #funhouse mirror ass season i love it dearly #//#brr brr #slowly dipping my toes into dropping 2015 hot takes on tumblr dot com... for so long these have been between me god and my google doc #i love jorge i think he's been involved in a lot of iconic battles i think it's funny not a single one of them happened in 2015 #minus kinda phillip island but even there it did feel like the other three were Doing More than him #also just a different vibe to a proper one-on-one. a WEIRD title run where the third man that whole year walks away with the trophy #//it

I feel like I'm digging myself deep into a hole and finding nothing, trying to figure out more about In-ho's family

am i the only one disappointed with the wwdits ending 😭

#wwdits #i am so sorry yall but i didn't find it as funny as some of the other episodes and the story beats were kind of a letdown #i get that the point of the ending is that nothing ever changes with these vanpires #but most of the episode was just the main characters.. talking about how nothing has changed. kinda felt like they didnt know how to end it #not to mention the jokes about the guide being basically sexually harrassed this episode were annoying #i really think ep 9 was by far the best episode of the season. absolutely loved that episode #i was hoping the finale would be handled with the same care and clear direction and sense of humor as ep 9 #oh well #i still love this show and im gonna miss it #just wish the ending wasnt so meh #wwdits spoilers #would love to know whats going on with the whole alternative endings thing. is that real??#its a cool idea
