I'm new to One Piece fandom but I started shipping ZoNami after live action, so I wondered what you meant when you said Maeda and Oda said something that made the antis happy?

And btw, does Nami end up with someone in the end of OP? I really hope the writers explore ZoNami more in the live action 😭

It's widely known that Oda said no romance in strw hat crew since long ago when one piece barely started.

When Maeda asked by Japanese journalist about LA's Zoro and nami romantic nuances, he answered that prequisite of Live action from Oda is, there's no romance among the crew

Despite all of that, even shortly after Oda first saying that, fans has been shipping the crew freely. Zonami not as much popular among international fans tho.

Not until that LA's Zonami where their chemistry and tension so thick wadou ichimonji might not be able to cut it.

Other shippers felt threatened, some insist the chemistry is bullshit. I just think they are in denial.

Well the fact that Japanese journalist need to ask it already proof that the their chemistry in LA is through the roof.

But yeah, those antis are so cute, easily calmed down with an old fact-When ship is not always about canon ending.

As for the manga, my advise is not to hold your hope high. I've dealt with shounen mangaka who said similar stuff , about how romance not part of shounen, he is not good writing romance yadda yadaa...and he did make shitty ending couple wise even though with the material he had, he could make one of the best shounen couple out there.

Most male shounen mangakas kinda lame in romance departement like that.

No matter what other shipper told you, nlNami was not set up with anyone yet, within or outside the crew. None, nada.

Which kinda unfair u know, as Luffy, Zoro and Sanji have girls from outside the crew who genuinely like them.
