I actually jumped and put my hand over my mouth
Not many horror games actually get to me any more, but the opening of Yomari: Night Alone caught me off guard.
Spoiler for the scene under the cut.
The game has a deceptively cute art style and starts with a small girl walking her dog. It teaches you the basic controls, and you pick a pebble up. The game shows you how to throw the pebble and the dog goes to play fetch.
And is immediately hit by a bus out of nowhere.
I always forget animal stuff in games is my big weakness (I still haven't finished Plague Tale).
