I don't usually share much about songs I'm working on, but this project is so big, I'll lose it if I'm not posting some sorta WIPs... so here are the lyrics (subject to change ofc)!

I do kind of want to briefly ramble about Akechi’s rank 4 scene though because it kind of pleasantly surprised me?

So Akechi takes Joker to the jazz bar, which is his place to get away from it all, kind of his safe spot. His best options are when you give responses that show excitement and enthusiasm about the place, which is… aw.

Then the conversation segues into Akechi asking if Joker has a place like that, where he feels at ease, and all of the responses obviously reference Leblanc. First of all, that’s really sweet to have a kind of confirmation of that - Joker and Sojiro had a rocky start to their dynamic, but now he’s feeling like it’s a safe spot for him, and with Morgana there too, and the Thieves having come to visit a few times, maybe even more of a home than the one he left (though perhaps that’s pushing it?).

Secondly though, alarm bells were going through my head, because nowhere in all of this business does it seem a good idea to tell the detective investigating me where I live and am now operating my heists from. (Even though he probably could find that out easily… but still.)

So I picked the vaguest option, to be on the safe side, but little did I know that it doesn’t matter.

Because Joker tells Akechi about Leblanc anyways. Completely without player input. And at first I was a bit taken aback, but then it made a lot of sense.

For one thing, it confirms that Akechi is being genuine about this being his place to feel at ease. Not that I doubted that, but Akechi often says one thing and means multiple; he’s quite good at controlling the flow and direction of a conversation to get the info he wants. But that’s not the vibe I got here at all. He’s just… sharing it. Wants Joker to enjoy it the way he does. It’s actually a fair amount of openness, especially in that he’s never shared that place with anyone else before. And so Joker returns that openness with an honest answer and his own place of comfort - prioritizing returning Akechi’s honesty with his own instead of potential repercussions. Wild. I love it. And it tracks from their previous interactions.

Akechi downplays his skills by using his non-dominant hand, which Joker notices. Joker returns that (whether intentionally or inadvertently, I can’t actually say) when he puts his glasses on Akechi - the fake glasses that he wears, ostensibly, so as not to draw attention to himself. There’s a sense of honesty for honesty here, openness for openness, particularly from Joker. It’s just interesting.

twelfth night is not a Shakespeare I have read or seen but now I’m a bit terrified of ever consuming it. I definitely would never touch that audio drama with a 10 foot pole though (so so tempting. I might give in)

I think Keon and Kassandra might be related.

... ok hear me out.

first of all, their hair colors are similar, which is often a narrative shorthand for “these two characters are related”, especially in stuff like anime where hair colors are much more unique. Additionally, their speech bubbles are almost the exact same color.

But if you want actual evidence? Keon is the first character in the story to show suspicion of Headmaster Vaughn.

Much much later in the story, Kassandra also shows suspicion, and launches an investigation on him.

It’s reasonable to assume that Keon could have planted that first seed of suspicion in her head, if the two of them have some connection. This goes especially since they both work for the authorities, but Keon doesn’t work for a department that could authorize him to launch an investigation like that. Kassandra has the authority to do all the things with Vaughn that Keon is frustrated about not being able to do. If they’re related, Keon probably asked Kassandra to launch the investigation.

It would also explain Keon’s interest in Wellston, considering he used to work in or near New Bostin which is far away, if Kassandra went there.

Keon also looks like he’s old enough to be her dad. He doesn’t have to be her dad specifically, but my age estimate for Kassandra is 24 (assuming I mathed right), and Keon looks like he could be in his 50s or 60s, which is a reasonable age to have had Kassandra. (Kassandra’s age calculation is a maximum btw. She can’t be older than that unless she was held back or sm.)

So basically, it could be true.

I think Zouey got raped or, at the very least, had an extremely violent encounter with someone and Nant found out. I don't know if he just found out or if Zouey told all of his friends, but I think Nant knew someone severely hurt his best friend and I think that played a MAJOR role in his disappearance. That's why Zouey seems sketch and like he's hiding something. Because he IS hiding his secret that may have played a part in Nant dying how he did, but he didn't actually have anything to do with it.

I won't pretend I like Zouey or that I haven't been suspicious of him, but I really don't think he killed Nant or is even directly connected to his disappearance. I also don't think Nant was the one to hurt him since he was genuinely so happy when Nont showed up pretending to be Nant.

I just think while Nant was burning his whole life down with drugs something really bad happened to Zouey. I think Nant thought it was connected (and it probably was) to the shitty people he was around and it set this entire thing in motion. Which is why Zouey was so desperate to find Nant, then so happy when Nont showed up pretending to be him, became almost as obsessed with Nont in finding Nant, is currently almost as obsessed as Nont about finding out why Nant died, and seemed terrified for Teena to look at whatever painting was under the tarp in his studio.

I just think Nant dying is connected to Zouey's sexual trauma and he obviously feels extremely guilty about it, even though I don't think he did anything wrong.
