The way Xie Lian is trauma bonded to both his spiritual weapons..

Well, kinda.

At first I was mortified after learning their origins and that Xie Lian kept them both.

But then it felt very...expected?

This is xie lian—he takes in misunderstood, broken, and lost people and things left and right and gives them homes and care, even when no one else would dare—especially then.

Of course he wouldn't blame them for being used as a tool for inflicting evil and pain, just as he had almost been used as well—and by the same person, nonetheless.

it wasn't Fangxin's fault and Ruoye wouldn't have wanted to hurt him either if it were sentient at the time.

So “kinda” as in they're bonded from trauma, but they’re also bonded over trauma, in a way.

(I also really love how Hua Cheng is definitely mortified for a moment as well, but still does not judge Xie Lian or question his choices or treat the two weapons a certain way based on his own personal feelings towards them—minus the time when Xie Lian was about to use Fangxin for you-know-what in the revised fangxin guoshi arc. He truly never disrespects Xie Lian’s wishes unless he is actively harming himself.)

okay but life goes on jimin is probably one of the most gorgeous jimins there is for me. the way they styled his pretty, soft silvery hair in that voluminous side-part, the cute graphic tee with that iconic green cardigan … and those boot cut jeans!!! and the EARRINGS. the whole outfit embraced all his delicate gorgeous features so well and effortlessly oh man there’re literally no fitting words to describe his beauty

somebody rec me some good books. and they do actually have to be good. don’t rec me something just because it’s gay or it’s popular, it has to also still be good. like both the story and the writing have to be good none of this good concept bad writing or good writing horrible story. fantasy or soft scifi preferred, especially if it’s nontraditional fantasy. I am bored and sick of the internet and I want to get back into reading more but I’m kinda meh about most of what’s on my shelf

*edit: when I say “soft scifi” I don’t mean cozy I mean not hard scifi, as in stories that are more fantastical than grounded in hard science. for example the Martian is considered hard scifi, so not that. Star Wars would be closer to a soft scifi bc it’s all bullshit on the science end and it’s more about the vibes

I was rereading flavovitta’s amazing urban fantasy AU fic, Of Covens and Magicians / ocam (if you haven’t read it, what are you doing????) and when I read this scene, I decided i HAD to draw it. I love this bit so much, just the whole chapter. I wish there was an OCAM manga or anime or anything! It’s such an incredible piece of writing, I’d recommend it even if you aren’t into A3!. This was quite a while ago, so the style is a little different to what I normally do these days, but I’m still super proud of it! I wanted to give it a dark, dramatic, cinematic feel to it. How did I do?

The thing about having Ollie as your favourite character is that you feel like you need to defend him constantly. People are beefing with that man all the time including writers. Especially writers!

I expected this when I became a Guy Gardner fan. It doesn’t even bother me that much when people misconstrue him because yk, fair enough.

But Ollie?

I love The Boys but is anyone else afraid it’ll just get redundant. We know that season 5 has been confirmed already, so is the big event in season 4 just kind of going to be that they almost get Homelander again but not quite? I liked season 3 but it’s also my least favorite season so far mostly because it didn’t feel like it really went anywhere with the ending.
